This SHack is at the end of holiday street in calangute. We went there to try out their local goan cuisine. The view of the beach is awesome from this shack and the staff is also very prompt and attentive. The food here is too good and very tasty. We ordered Prawns and spring onion fritters which were very crispy. Sea Food platter and non veg platter is must try if you want to taste Goa in 1 Dish.
It’s one of the few shacks on the beach that is open around the year since it’s located in a lovely old house . Great coffee , Susegado IPA on tap , good food and friendly staff . Try it , I don’t think you can be disappointed by this place .

After a long walk on the beach, me and my parents decided to visit this shack and we guessed it perfect as the food and service was amazing.
We sat for a long time initially on the beach resting chairs placed outside and had beverage initially.
After going inside, we ordered a Tuna Sandwich,Butter Garlic Prawns, Fish Recheado, French Fries, Butter Garlic Mushrooms, Beer, Diet Coke, Mirinda.
The Tuna Sandwich was really good. Tried it for the first time.
The French fries also were made good.
Then came the Butter Garlic Prawns which was medium in size , very fresh and overall it was very authentic which enhanced the overall taste.
The Fish Recheado was good, nothing as expected as the Fish was quite small but the quality of the fish was great.
The Butter Garlic Mushrooms , which I tasted for the first time was very delicious.
Almost All the dishes were served with Fries.
The ambience is also great and the view of ocean is also soothing.
The pricing of beer in Goa is the best(compared to almost all places in Bangalore, but BTW I had Diet Coke 😜😜😜).
The service was very good.
The prices also were very reasonable.
This place deserves a visit if one visits Calangute.
Flying Dolphin for me has alot of fond memories of time spent with my cousins and friends.The location of this place is the best part of it for me.Nestled on the beach,the sound of the rustling waves and the cool sea breeze makes every drink enjoyable.The comfortable sea facing seating arrangement is relaxation personified and as the sun sets into the sea the golden glaze it creates takes you into another dimension.The natural ambiance is worth the visit.This coupled with good eats, friendly staff and value for money make this a place one must visit.
Yummilicious food ....the tapas are great specially the gambas pil pil and mini chicken skewers .the pinacolada is the best I've had. The sunset is awesome.

Located at a prime location, this shack provides a beautiful view of the sea with some lip smacking food.
They have indoor seating on various levels. The front part would be completely occupied with chairs on one side so people would directly face the sea!!
The have a full open bar with a perfect combination of music around.
We had some great food including French fries, Chicken Thali, Fish Thali and chicken tandoori.

If you are visiting calangute and are a bit tired from the journey, you could definitely visit this shack as this is at a walkable distance, has soothing music and amazing food, which provides all the refreshment you need!!!
Perfectly located in a quieter part of the beach, this is a cheerful and efficient shack. We had a lovely party here so found the dance floor and bar area useful plus of course the beach facing chairs. The food is ok and the drinks are fine. The staff is really pleasant and efficient.
Tried this shack once...For dinner around 11...These guys were open almost till 1.30...There were no much people on that day n they served all fresh food...

Flying Dolphin is an obscure little restaurant tucked away in the by lanes of Goa. The beautiful beach view and the wide range of beers (yes not just Kingfisher) are definitely the USP of the restaurant. I ordered a few starters which were delicious; the garlic bread was made to perfection. Tossed salad, crispy prawns, paneer fingers and the milkshakes were all well prepared. It's definitely a value for money joint where you can nibble on some good food.
I loved their butter garlic pomfret.

Been after long time to Goa with friends . That was the last day of my trip we visited Flying dolphin . Ambiance was good . We just sat next to the beach . The view was beautiful. Then we ordered for breakfast. I got a poached eggs which were perfectly cooked and overall breakfast was good but looking at the bar collection . We couldn't stop ourselves nd we started with the beer . We don't know how much Beer we drank and one of my friend ordered SEESHA . So it was " BIN BADAL BARSAAT" After that we sat on the bar counted and we ordered for tequila then bartender ask us to try a fire shoot so all we started with fire shoots and we enjoyed a lot .
Highly recommended to visit this place it will be memorable day for you .
Nice ambience by the Sea. Perfect Shack for family and friends.. Get high with the Flying Dolphin special. Alot of non alcoholic options here like Mango mock, Pina Colada and more.. we liked the Baked beans on toast and Goan Rice Curry. Relax on the Sunbeds post meal, what more do you want ;-)

Chosen primarily for location but also the amazing beach view, ordered the prawn biryani and couldn't have been happier. Had that right north Indian feel to the rice flavoring and the prawns were more than adequate. Would definitely recommend for the food, if you weren't already sold on the location and view.

Life is a Beach
Located on a quiet part of the world famous Calangute Beach is this quaint “all-year-around” open Beach Shack - which boasts of a great relaxed ambiance and arguably some of the best food in Goa. Part of the Golden Eye Hotel and located at the very end (read beach) of Holiday Street, Flying Dolphin is a popular destination of both domestic and international travellers.
Ambience
The ambience is warm and inviting - at the same time bright and colourful - with the lavishly used blue colour (on the table covers and upholstery) going well with the wooden bar and the thatched roof. The USP of course, remains the unparalleled sea view - made even better by the comfortable row of armchairs.
Drinks
The bar is extremely well stocked and features a wide array of foreign and domestic beer, gin, vodka, whisky, brandy, rum, liqueur, white and red wine, as well as traditional Goan feni. They also have an exhaustive range of special cocktails - with the “BBC” being a must-try - a fabulous concoction of Baileys, banana, Kahlua and cream - the cocktail is a lip-smacking delight. For those who prefer to skip the alcohol - take your pick from a choice of juices, milkshakes, soft drinks, or mocktails. There’s something here for everyone.
Starters
Flying Dolphin is one of the rare places in all Goa that has a special Tapas menu - from which we ordered three starters - Goan Sausage Bread, Gambas Pil Pil and Crunchy Fish Cigars. The Goan Sausage Bread was (as the name suggests) melted Goan sausage (chorizo) with crunchy vegetables served in toasted local bread - tasted excellent, with the melted sausage creating an interesting mix of textures with the toasted bread.
The Gambas Pil Pil was essentially sizzling prawns in chilli and garlic olive oil and again tasted wonderful - the prawns were crunchy on the outside and succulent on the inside. The Crunchy Fish Cigars were fingers of fish with a crispy crumb coating served with a garlic mayonnaise as a dip - the fish was fresh, the coating was beautifully crisp and the garlic mayonnaise complemented the dish perfectly. An excellent start to our meal.
We then ordered three starters from the regular menu - Goan Beef Roast, Squids Recheado and Fish and Beef Croquettes. The Goan Beef Roast was pieces of well-marinated beef stir-fried with onions - a typical Goan delicacy and a must try. The Squid Recheado was another Goan favourite - the sweet-sour taste of the famous Recheado going well with the bland squid. The Fish and Beef Croquettes were a novelty - a rare combination of two very different meats - crisp from the outside and soft and flavourful from the inside.
Main Course
For the main course we ordered five dishes - Chicken Xacuti, Kingfish Recheado, Pork Vindaloo and Prawns Balchao - a sampling of the five main Goan flavours.
First up was the Chicken Xacuti - which had a thick gravy with a distinct flavour of grated coconuts, onions and chillies - and tasted amazing with the rice. The Kingfish Recheado came next - two fillets of succulent kingfish - liberally covered with the iconic tangy, sweet & sour Recheado masala - truly a treat with the flavours just bursting on our tongues.
The Pork Vindaloo was up next (vindaloo being derived from a Portuguese term meaning “meat marinated in wine, vinegar and garlic”) - a spicy and tangy dish with a unique and fabulous taste. Last, but definitely not the least, was the Prawn Balchao - a sweet and sour dish with a fiery aftertaste - specially because the word itself means pickle.
We closed the night with a shared plate of Crepe Suzette and another of Mix-Fruit Pancake with Honey - a perfect finish to a great meal!
Visited this quiet place right on the beach on two evening and it was the best time I had in Goa. The ambience is great,the beer was just perfect,starters right from peanut masala,boiled eggs,masala papad,chilli chicken were just perfect. The staff was courteous and more than willing to get the best possible. A must visit place if you dont like noisy and crowded place...

We had visited Goa from Oct 2-Oct 5 , 2014. This place was very near to our hotel. As this was just starting of the season, not much options were available there near beach. So, we choose this one.
We spent almost 6 hours here, just by eating, drinking and watching sea. Food was awesome. We tasted chilli prawn goan style, fried rice, some other prawn dish and fishes (forgot names) and almost everything was awesome. Service was very quick and all service persons were very efficient and friendly.
We got a small piece of glass, inside fruit punch and they replaced it without asking any question. Variety of food, drinks are also good.
You can seat there and enjoy the crowd and sea or you can seat in sand and they will serve you there also.
P.S. : We had an excellent foot and head massage from one of the service person and that was awesome. Will visit again.

Tried Chicken Hyderabadi, ordered it again and again. The food here is amazing, worth the price, though we had just a couple of gravies and roti/naan/kulchas.
We had Sachin as the live musician for the night and his vocals were surprisingly spectacular. I haven't heard of anyone better than him till now. His crowdwork, quips and effortless voice modulation will make your night memorable.

It’s a lovely beachside shack on Calangute beach. This place is always very busy. The interior is minimalist but there is ample of seating area inside as well as open area sitting outside. The service is prompt and the waiters are attentive.

I had a fantastic experience at Flying Dolphin Beachside Restaurant. The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance and offers the best hookahs. The service was excellent, and it made our first day in Goa truly memorable. We absolutely loved our time there.
Good sea view. Right on the beach. The roads are a bit narrow and big cars can't come in all the way. But once you're in, it's pretty cozy and appealing. Well placed seating with nice matching cushions. Good blue and white theme. All well planned and decorated really well.
We came here for breakfast. Orders well taken and polite staff. And finally the breakfast was lovely.
Overall a great experience. Will definitely come back and recommend as well.
And yes, their menu is QR based but they also give you free wifi.
Fabulous location ... on a beautiful sandy clean quiet beach... beats Purple Martini or Thalassa ... serene, good chilled beer and reasonably good food. Owner is mostly present which makes a huge difference in service / food quality. Sun set is a delight.
The owner is very accommodating and friendly. It’s a beach shack with good food.. It’s a safe place for solo women travellers.. I enjoyed my time there. The beach beds were good only drawback no towels so pls carry one.. Food is a bit expensive..

An outstanding beach bar and restaurant in Goa, Flying dolphin 🐬 is on a lovely stretch of the Calangute beach away from the crowds yet not too far away and with easy access. An ideal place to lounge around and relax. The ambiance is superb with nice beach beds / sun loungers. The restaurant serves delicious and very reasonably priced food. The waiters do a very good job of service with a smile. the owner is always around to promptly sort out any issues that his customers may have. Most nights of the season there is live music. A decent place that one can visit with family and friends.
Only decent place this side of Calangute beach to sit in. One of the guys who served me for 3 days, forgot his name but is pursuing graduation from a Kolkata college in Hotel management has superb hospitality and friendly skills. Wishing him all the best to make a good career in hospitality industry. Food was decent.
Except for one cocktail which was a bad experience and had too much cinmamon powder that was Sangria. Skip the cinnamon please. Over all decent place, more so because it’s beach facing.
I have visited Goa twice.But the restaurant feel like Flying Dolphin does not come anywhere else.First of all, the food here is very good.But it takes some time to get the food to the table.😂😝😜 "Lagta h kuch special banke aane waala hai"👨🍳😜But the view of the sea that comes from the front of this restaurant is number one.
