This little café is an absolute delight! Doesn't have a big seating space inside and can accommodate 6 people max.
We ordered bacon quiche and ham croissants followed by lemon meringues and a rich chocolate was just mouthwatering. They have a lovely range of authentic confectionery and all the pastries were just perfect. They have lovely sour dough breads too, which we bought and brought it all the way back to Ooty. The Artisan Backerei is a small destination point on the map of Goa!
Their cakes and snacks are good and I would recommend the hummingbird as well as there salted caramel chocolate cake to die for♥️ Hummingbird cake is abit rich but it's really worth it!
Firstly I would say I love! Yes love their desserts! Been here thrice and would recommend it to everyone. Their hummingbird cake, as well as their pastries are top notch. Only wish they had a few more beverage options besides cold coffee.

The outlet is situated opposite to Baskin Robbins on the Candolim - Fort Aguada road. They just have 2 outside tables to sit so you might have to wait for your turn at times.
But this dessert parlour is something that you just can't miss when in Goa! Lovely!!

The cakes just literally melt in your mouth. We had a chocolate chip crossiant, the hummingbird and the blueberry cheesecake (The latter is a must to have always).
A cute little cafe with friendly staff located on the busy lanes of Calangute serves gratifying pastries made from age-old recipes. By evening, most of their chicken savories are over so be sure to visit early. We tried their Devil's chocolate cake - a 19th-century Jamaican recipe filled with soft heavenly chocolate cake and red velvet cake in the middle. Will surely go back to try their famous hummingbird cake and chicken croissant.

This beautiful little bakery is located on the busy streets of Candolim, and this is my third time here, that's how good the items on their menu are. It is a small bakery with limited outdoor seating. The menu mainly focuses on desserts ranging from cakes, which are pastry based, meringue based, sponge based along with cheesecakes, cream cakes, muffins, pies, tarts, and some vegetarian and non-vegeterian savoury dishes. They also serve some freshly baked loaves and bread. For all those who keep a check on their diet, Artisen bakery uses low gluten wheat flour along with brown sugar in preparing these dishes. Not only they sell their cakes per peice, they also sell it per kg basis ranging from Rs900 to Rs1500.

Coming to the desserts, my favorite of them all and probably one of the best cakes I've had is the Zuccotto Fiorentino, which is a classic vintage 16th century recipe. It is a dark chocolate cake filled with hazelnut, cherries and Cointreau cream which tastes just so delectably crunchy,and rich in flavour, that you wouldn't stop at one. A total must have.

Second favorite cake was Hummingbird, which is an early vintage 20th century recipe with bananas, pineapple, cream cheese frosting, topped with walnuts which makes it moist, smooth with a cinnomony taste. Worth a try.
The lemon blueberry Zucchini gateau was ok-ish.
From the savories, loved the classic sicilion pizza roll, made of sun-dried tomatoes, bell pepper and gruyere cheese making it spicy and flavorful. The croissants are a definite must have.
This place is a definitely worth a try.

We came across a ton of good bread and bakery products in Candolim and we decided to try out this name as we struggled to figure out the reason behind the quirk in their name. As soon as we stepped into the place, the aroma transcended us to another world altogether. The bread and pastries in the display looked beautiful and delicious.
We tried their Blueberry Cheesecake which was a total beauty in itself. The base was slightly crumbly and it was topped with a generous layer of cheesecake followed by blueberry compote. It was creamy, loaded and slightly tangy owing to the blueberry. We loved it.
After this one, we ordered a Butter Croissant and a Cherry tomato, mozzarella, basil croissant sandwich for breakfast. The delivery was super smooth and the croissants arrived fresh. They had these tiny little paper mats in their packaging as well. The Butter croissant was flaky and smeared with lots of butter. It was delicious even without anything else.
The Cherry Tomato and Mozzarella Sandwich was delightful. The cheese was perfectly proportioned and the taste of cherry tomatoes and basil made it a perfect snack to munch upon. We totally devoured this one.
It was indeed very unfortunate that we could not try more things here due to the lack of time. However, from whatever we had tried, we loved everything about this place and if you are a dessert lover, you must visit this place!

Artisan is a pretty bakery in Calangute with outdoor seating. It definitely fulfilled our sweet tooth cravings. We tried a lot of deserts from their menu and they all tasted delicious.
1. Zuccotto fiorentino: It was a dark chocolate pastry dome filled with hazelnut, cherries and cointreau cream. Zuccotto tasted delicious and the portion served was very large.
2. Hummingbird: It was baked with banana, walnut, spices, pineapple and cream cheese frosting. It is one of the best offerings of cafe.
3. Irish coffee muffin: I didn’t like the muffin much, it was very dry.
4. Carrot cake: If you are in artisan then their carrot cake is must try. I didn’t know a carrot cake can taste so good without frostings.
Intricate and delicate desserts crafted with brilliant recipes and great care. The staff is friendly and the nice is nice and comfortable. I'd recommend the Hummingbird cake, carrot cake and chocolate cookies.
First I tried the Apple Pie and I loved it.
Next up, I am writing this after a crazy sugar tooth and having ordered A Decadent Chocolate Cake. And I can just say that knowing how bad a thing it is to have something sweet before bed, I still do not regret it.

Always love finding quaint little bakeries like this across Goa. But this particular one was hidden in a location I knew all too well and it definitely surprised me. @artisanbackerei has been carrying out business for a while now and has a very simple ideology of making things fresh using organic and quality ingredients while also keeping tradition and age old recipes alive. When I say age old, I'm not talking about decades but many many centuries! I had a lovely BBQ chicken croissant with a strong black coffee and a few pastries but the star of the show (swipe left) was definitely the hummingbird cake. A 19th century Jamaican recipe with pineapple, banana, walnuts, almonds, spices and cream cheese. Super moist and creamy with a melt in mouth consistency and packed with flavours and textures. Loved the toasted and sliced almonds on the top! Now I know what cake I want for my next birthday 😭♥️
Stray away from your usual bakeries and try this little gem out! Bringing you desserts from all around the world and using long forgotten recipes, some dating back to over 400 years, this place is a gold mind for food lovers who love a food with a bit of a back story! I tried their Hummingbird cake and Esterhazy Torte and can't decide which I love more! Their savouries deserve a lot more hype - especially the Quiche Lorraine - a light, airy tart of eggs, cream, cheese and generous amounts of bacon. The croissant sandwiches are just delicious!! All their breads are made in-house, no refined sugar is used in their offerings and everything comes with a very affordable price tag! It was a last day in goa and we had our dinner. Was just lurking around an alternative for ice cream and my eyes just sparkled when i saw this cafe.
Food : I was just looking for dessert on a perfect evening and i just got that. I had cheese cake brownie which was just out of this world. May be i had best brownie till date.
Quality : Just wow and it was served pretty nicely.
Ambience : Such a wonderful ambience for a small bakery. It has good lights and cakes and pastries are set up nicely as well.
Price : Rates are little on a higher side. But i think its worth it.
Awesome place....must go. Humble old uncle who helps you to select the best.
And treat for eggless eaters too...except one everything is eggless.

It is a great find in Goa for a very thoughtful curated menu for your sweet tooth. Very polite and friendly people run the place. Both the Savoury and desert are awesome to taste and different from the rest. Items listed in the menu ought to be a special mention.The croissants are a not to miss.
Artisan Backerei sits unobtrusively next door to Babute's loud oily masaledaar ambience, and coyly serves out rich baked sin!
You really appreciate the fact that they do the "traditional classics" -- I recognized Sacher Torte and Mille Feuille and Opera Cake and Honey-cake -- cakes that I've only read about. Even 5-stars patisseries don't have this line-up.
I ate the Lindzer Torte, covered with lovely Almond flakes... fabulous! Another reason to visit, their savories - I couldn't sample any but their names were lip-smackingly good. Saw breads too. And beverages. Really earns the Artisanal epithet. 10 on 10, will be sampling as much as I can when possible.
A labour of love and a family of stars originate from this small bakery (Backerei German for Bakery) to bring you long lost forgotten wonders from the sweet world of sin. A must visit for your sweet tooth craving and coffee fix. Highly recommended.
