I ate many times at babutes during my trip to goa. It was just walking distance from my homestay and thus was our go-to option to eat and grab anything to eat whenever we were craving something.
It's very spacious..with a huge sitting area and very comfortable chair and very pleasant ambience. It's a on corner of the road and is open from 2 sides. So you can have your food and watch people from different cultures running around the streets of goa.
It has a huge non veg menu. They even serve fishes like sharks which made me suprised as it was the first time I saw anything like that on menu Being raised in Delhi.
The food here was good.
I being a North Indian who loves spicy food felt that the the spiciness was missing a lot.
Its mainly best for Breakfast as they serve American cuisine really nice.
They also have a large cocktail menu to choose from.
And a live kareooke session at night and good music on screen during day time. The staff was also very friendly.
Authentic sea food, I tried crabs and prawns dish and I loved it. Prices are indeed reasonable there and I am sure you gonna like it. Good ambience and polite staff.
Had a great meal here with great staff and atmosphere. Cauliflower tikka and garlic chicken tikka are must try’s, defo be back :)))

Went strolling on the main road late in the evening just for the change. Had seen this restaurant earlier so went for dinner as they were having seafood which is an off season delicacy. We ordered Beef Chilli Fry, Steamed Rice, Dal Fry and Beef Masala alongwith Cashew Fenny with Coconut water and Romanov. The total cost came to Rs. 1050/- which is absolutely brilliant for a full meal for 3 adults. The quantum of food is good and the cooking was also tempered not very spicy or oily - but tasty. I'm definitely going to come over during my next visit to Goa.
Babute's is a nice place. Live screening, good crowd, good location. The booze is cheap and the food is reasonably priced. It's an ideal joint for breakfast or lunch or dinner. We had an amazing time here. Good food.
Try it out atleast once without thinking anything. Cheers.

A pretty interesting place on the way to calangute. The ambience is pleasant however the A/C section stinks. Food was good and flavourful . The cocktail Big Boobs tasted more like a screwdriver.

Fish curry :
A spicy ,orangish coloured gravy, made with Goan spices and coconut milk.It also comes with a piece of kingfish cooked in the same curry . This is The most wonderful tasting fish curry by far I have tasted, the great part is that you can call for another portion of fish curry free of cost .
Subji:
Coconut, beans and carrots sautéed in turmeric and Goan masala. It had a very unique taste to which made in even more interesting.
Subji with prawn :
The same sabji mentioned above cooked with baby prawns.
Fried Pomfret :
Whole Pomfret ( Averaged palm size ) , coated in Indian spices , dabbed in semolina, and shallow fried to perfection. The fish was fresh and crispy, tasty and yummy, it went well with the fish curry and rice .I have Observed that when you eat a thali in Goa , they always serve you a whole fish , whereas in Mumbai they just serve a piece or two of the whole fish .
Kokum water: In Mumbai we are served solkadi as a part of the thali , but in Goa they serve kokum water ,which is made by infusing kokum in hot water , adding fresh coriander and green chilies to it . Spicy in taste and watery in consistency.
Apart from this we got Rice, pickle and salad .
My eating experience was wonderful, since the thali was a mixture of all flavours and tasty dishes .

Visited Goa for 3 days, and had breakfast at Babute's everyday. Entered the place and was welcomed with a lovely smile of the waiter. He almost became a good friend by the end of the trip! Simple, tasty and cheap food. Always had the bacon and cheese omelette with toast and black coffee, the best combo. The place had superb homely vibes.
A must visit for everyone in Goa!

We have been coming to Goa for three years now and always use Babutes on Top. Breakfast choices are brilliant (banana lassi superb). The menu has great choices for everyone, Goan, Indian, Tandoori, Continental and Chinese plus vegetarian.
The staff are all brilliant, friendly and cannot help enough.
We cannot recommend Babutes on Top enough it is quite simply THE BEST!

Situated on the prime road of Calungate , Babute's On Top was one of our lunch destination during our Goa trip last month.Due to the advent of the lean season , it was empty baring one group of foreigners having their lunch.We ordered some vegetarian and non vegetarian dishes that included spicy Veg Kolhapuri , King Fish Masala , Prawns Vindaloo and squids chilly fry.The food was sumptuous and we loved it.My rating 3.5/5I forgot to mention that I had my iconic Lime and Lemony Limca here after so many years too :)
When I reached there I was very hungry and the restaurant is near the holiday street Calangute. Since I was hungry and it was already 3pm I have ordered Chinese food. Fried rice and chilly chicken. Apart from that I have ordered kingfish and beer. The king fish was not that fresh as per Goan standard but tastes good. Chinese chicken fried rice and chilly chicken are highly recommended.

We had chicken Xacuti anr Fish fry which was delicious. Its a local goa dish and must try at Babutes.
Great place to go for drinks, watch sports, chill and generally just have a fantastic night. We have eaten in here on a few occasions and the food is always very good.
The staff are really friendly and attentive which adds that little bit extra to the character and atmosphere of the place.
Price wise, you will struggle to find anywhere else that gives value for money like here.
This is a great bar, guys are so friendly, food is spot on, we’ve dined at supposed 5 star restaurants in Goa and enjoyed most of them, this place stacks up against all of them.
Every meal we’ve had has been fab, fresh and tasty, and the price is amazing.
Every time we have visited we have been really well looked after by Deb . All the bar staff are excellent but nothing is too much trouble for Deb and he works non stop. Highly recommend a visit.
