The best restaurant in paloleam. We stayed in paloleam for 5days. We never missed a single day to visit this restaurant. Food is awesome with perfect price. Staffs are good .. they r also preparing food according to ur taste.. eg. I want maximum tym spicy . So they prepared according to me ..
Must try here
Went to this place which is very close to the beach and you will be surprised with the amount of crowd it pulls. The taste of food is quite good. We tried some mocktails and fish kebabs. We also had Crab and Prawn biriyani. Both the biriyanis were quite good. This is place where you can comfortably go around with your family.
The people over there are very amicable and courteous. You feel comfortable at this place. Definitely revisiting. Cheers !!
Butter garlic crabs are simply amazing along with other sea food. Fish curry rice is also a speciality.
Tried their fish thali and veg thali,
Fish thali -150rs served rice, bangda fish, sabzi and fish curry sabzi was okay but curry was wrost,
Veg thali - 150rs served rice, sabzi, dal, roti and dahi
According to price it's not worth, you can find many good restaurants near palolem beach in same price.
Couldn't find any thali serving place in Palolem due to off season. And this was open during noon time. The ambience is pretty amazing. At night it would be more lit.
The food options were varied and this one was famous for it's thali as recommended by a local.
What we ordered:
🔹King Fish thali ❤️💯
This fish served was fresh and crisp fried in rava. The gravy served in both thalis was so delicious, tasty and spicy at the same time. There was a veggie served on side. Some sukha fish. Rice and pickle. The thali was indeed amazing.
🔸Prawns thali ❤️
Four huge prawns served in thali with sukha, gravy and rice and veggies and pickle. Loved both the thalis. It made us quite content. The gravy was spicy but our soul was happy after eating this.
🔹Golden Fried Prawns ❤️
Loved the quantity. Prawns were coated in Golden batter and were crisp which was served with mayo. A good starter if you're boozing. The marination could have been better.
The booze rates are cheap. The food rates are reasonable. Do try the thalis. They'll definitely leave you happy.
Good food and service, the place is situated behind the beach and has a wonderful ambiance! The pricing is not very expensive as compared to many other restaurants in the same locality
We ordered Fish Thali and it was ok in taste. Rice was in good quantity but no chapati/roti included. Rates are reasonable. Friendly staff and quick service
One of the cheapest food joint in Palolem. It's bit away from the beach. Food quality is good. Price is way cheaper then any other restaurants in Palolem.
Awesome and good quality food
Tried dal tadka, roti and masala papad
Want to avoid french fries and pasta, try the food here
Ambience is average
Service was good. And the food was just the way we like it. chicken vindaloo was fire brand.
Free parking in the premises.
The online menu is outdated.
So we where on our trip and we where at south goa and found this restaurant we ordered total veg because it was ganesh chaturthi all tasted good we ordered paneer butter masala , paneer tikka masala, dal tadka, aloo gobi, jeera rice and naan their bar menu is also reasonable must try if you are in palolem.
This joint is near Palolem beach is to find , having very good atmosphere at fisherman , provides very good authentic Goan sea food along with indochinese cuisine, I have ordered chicken xacuti which was mouthwatering, subtle spicy dal fry , flavourful , crunchy eggs fried rice . Must visit if u r staying near Palolem Beach.
After a tiring early afternoon at the beach we descend to Fisherman's for a lazy rest of the day. We ordered chicken chilli, calamari masala fry and veg manchurian as starters. The chicken and the calamari were perfectly cooked and were served coated in a hot but well balanced sauce. For the main course we ordered chicken briyani, chicken fried rice and veg fried rice. The veg as well as the chicken fried rice were flavourful but the briyani could do better. A little bit more spice in the briyani would have taken the briyani from average to good. We also gave their kingfish Goan fish thali a try. The thali had a rava fried steak of kingfish, Goan fish curry, dry mix veg sabji, dried prawn kismoor and steamed rice. The spicy, tangy as well as creamy coconut based fish curry and rice combo was very good. The star of the thali, the fish steak was very fresh and perfectly fried.
The good food along with the soft music playing in the background and the sea breeze makes you not want to leave the restaurant ever.
Its a small resto near palolem market, good food, average ambience, value to money.
You can get good veg options here. Service is also good. They will suggest you dishes as per your taste, must try in palolem
As their name suggests, they are hold the best kept secrets to a fine sea food dining.
I carried a beer with me and they had no issues with me consuming it while at their place, although I did buy several beers inside.
We tried the fish Thali, king fish and some fries. Amazing food and great pricing
Very tasty place, not so much expensive with the rice plates, the seafood its little more expensive but very good quality. If u re at palolem i recomend you heartly, wifi its so fast!
Great ambiance .... Food quality is too good .
Perfect place to chill out in Palolem
Every thing is good here . I order Goan food , which was awesome. It is very much close to the main entrance .
We had been searching a restaurant serving local Goan food, very close to Palolem beach and would think of Fisherman's, but the reviews on Zomato scared us. Finally we mustered courage and decided to visit this place. To start with, the ambience is not great or even clean for that matter and needs improvement. Service is pretty decent so no complaints there. It's located right on the main shopping street so can be found easily. We ordered the famous fish thali, not special one and prawns biryani. Thali does not come with roti so needs to be ordered separately. Personally I felt the thali was reasonable for the price but not outstanding. The prawns biryani was delicious; it was the perfect combination of spices, rice quality and prawns masala, with sufficient quantity for one person. We would definitely go back to this place for prawns biryani.

I'm surprised to see so many people criticising the food, decor and prices. In my opinion, if you don't know what to order in Goa, it's your fault. As the name goes, this place serves authentic local Goan food and does it very well. They could fine tune the ambience and presentation a bit, but that's about it. One must always remember that South Goa is not the same as North, you won't get dirt cheap food in South simply because the competition is less down here and you will have to make do with what you're given. Having said that, I spent 2k for 4 big eaters which included alcohol, starters & main course.
Order: Goan fish thali and chicken xacuti.
Service : took some time to arrive even though there were not many customers around.
Ambience : bright paintings on the wall, but not very well lit at all tables.
Quality: fish thali was good, tasted fresh and authentic, chicken xacuti was average on best.
Food-4/5
Hygiene- 3.5/5
Service-4/5
Price -4.5/5
This place is located very near to Palolem beach. On our casual stroll found this place out. Situated in a jut out portion from the main road. Indeed this place and the ambience and their owner complete that fisherman's den kind of feeling. Bad thing-they don't accept cards, as most of restaurants in Goa, especially Palolem. Food was exquisite and fresh, really fresh. We had requested for a prawn garlic dish to be made of small prawn and it was delicately made. Mixed fried rice was excellent. Nothing extraordinary but enjoyable. They allowed us to have our own drink. We also purchased drinks from them. Drinks was pretty cheap too. Bill for two including 2 drink was 720. Food included one starter, one main course, one main course. Interesting interiors and painting.
Had their fish thali for lunch several time. The thali spread is minimal and very plain, almost homely in a good way.
However, the fried fish in the thali stands out and make it special. Ask for their boneless fish and not the regular mackerel, if you want to avoid bones. Also order an extra fish fry to make the thali compelete if you feel the quantity is less, like I do.
Yet to try the fresh seafood in the evenings here.
I'm shocked to see 3 reviews out of 5 giving 1.0 rating Cuz when we went to this place, the staff was really nice and the food was great.
We ordered 2 kinds of Fish Fry, Crabs, Jeera Rice, 2 kinds of Prawn Masala and King's Black Pint. The bill came up to 375 per head among the 8 of us, which was a little expensive but the food was that delicious.
I was in love with this place as soon as I had a first bite of mussles that we had ordered along with a beer. A little off from the beach, located at the main street, this was a hidden gem at Palolem beach area. The servings were small and so were the price, but the food was great. The music was playing softly, mostly rock. I came across this place on my second trip to this beach, and I will coming here again.
Good food. Both times had relatively long-awaited services. However sea-food dishes are the best. Also try Aloo Gobi.
Everything was wonderful, but especially the thali. We ordered kind fish thali with cashew fenny. The fish and seafood was really fresh. I personally have a keen dislike towards stale seafood. For me, getting it this fresh literally meant foodgasm. Our server was very kind. He would refill upon request and genuinely enjoyed us watching inhale the entire content of the thali. Will visit again. Must have if you're around.
This place was very simple. We tried their local thalis. It had that local taste which we were searching for.
We have tried fish thali(normal), fish thali-king fish and prawn thali.
Overall the taste was okay okay type. In thali, they have served that specific fish fry.
Food is very delicious. Seafood and non-veg food mainly. Service seems a bit slow but okay. It's always a go to for food whenever I stayed in Palolem. Have some parking space also for cars so a plus one. Also, not that expensive in regards so must visit place for good food place.
One of the best places in Palolem to eat fresh fish. We repeated the visit as not only we enjoyed the freshness of the food but staff was also very courteous. We enjoyed crab and lobster specially. Curries, though they were tasty, were too spicy despite asking them to not add too much of spice. We mostly ate fish, however we also went for Malai kebab. Meat was soft and yummy. I definitely recommend the place for sea food lovers.
Ummmm..... Being in the middle of the Market place but near Paloleum Beach, the good place where you can find good quality sea food. The taste is so nice that you won't get the smell of eating sea food. The prices are quite high but the service is good too. The main thing is you get a very good parking place which is rare in this market place. Can't say more about their menu but overall ambience and hygiene is good. Good that they have a clean washroom facility too. Thank you 😊.
A must visit place in palolem beach road , had awesome Goan Fish Thali
It's a great restaurant near palolem beach. Both veg and non veg dishes are available here. Food is very tasty. They serve tandoori chicken items with finger chips and green salad. They also have non veg and veg thalis. Mr. Pintu is very nice, polite person and he looked after our orders on my last visit here.
Update October 2023 : Food taste is very good. Staffs are very friendly and cooperative. Service is also quick. Especially fish thali and veg thali's are very tasty. Ambience is great with good music.
So went here just searching for some local food not fancy restaurant
Fisherman’s thought it will have good fish dishes and it did not fail to impress
Ended up ordering
Chicken thali had a punjabi style gravy sadly but nicely made unexpected in Goa sweet flavour of onion and perfect cooked chicken with aloo sabzi
Fishermans
Fish thali had clams masal
Made in basic onion tomato
Turmeric served with good quantity of rice
Sukhafish which usually takes over other ingredients made in stir fried bell pepper and onion softened
Fish curry made In coconut milk was show stopper with some zesty mild tang The perfect technique to Rawa fry surmai I could see here
The fish had not absorbed much oil quite impressed still crispy and flaky perfect cooked 😍
Better thali than so called famous kokani kanteen of north ...
Food was great. Loved the fried fish and cocktails / mocktails.
The good thing is that they have some space available for car parking. We were here late in the afternoon around 3:00 PM, and there were a good number of people, but it wasn't too crowded.
The wait for a table was a bit excessive though. There were tables where people had finished eating but were waiting around for the final bill. They could use at least another person in the wait staff.
The food was really good. The butter garlic calamari was crazy. But we felt like they were charging us,
way too much, for the small portion that was served.
P.S. Oh it was year 2022 and hyper inflation was trending. Maybe it was that.
The location of the restaurant is good with amble parking available including some shades for parking scooty.
We had fish thali and chicken cafreal. The thalis were good and proportion of the food was satisfactory. The fish was delicious. The chicken in the was delicious and spicy, the pieces were on the smaller size though. Beers are also available during meals. The staff were also good.
Would say this is a good place to visit if you want to have Indian food.
We had our lunch and dinner here, the food was delicious. One should definitely try Rock Fish tandoori OR King Fish tandoori, both are so good and tasty.
Good food, good beer, overall a good vibe. It's also one of the few places on this stretch that has parking. We had the lepo fry wich was good and the quantity was also more than expected. We also had the special sea food thaali which comes with a whole variety of sea food.
Great food, reasonable prices. They are packed throughout the season, so go there if you don’t mind some waiting. Service is excellent, but I feel they are low on staff given the crowd.
