Shivers is a casual dining located at Candolim, North Goa. It is a multicuisine restaurant which specializes in continental, goan, north indian, chinese & seafood. The food served here never fails to impress its diners. In my opinion it is one of the most gorgeous, very cosy, romantic and elegant restaurants in Goa to have dinner with your loved one. It will make you fall in love with the aroma and beauty of the Garden. Amazing place! It's beautiful in the evening and the live music playing just adds to the ambience.

Had dinner at Shivers on Tuesday. As we dont eat non veg on Tuesdays, we tried variety of veg items and all of them were cooked very nicely. Specially the Goan veg thali. The portion size is above average so order cautiously to avoid wastage. Poi (local Goan Bread) is a must try.

One less star because the rest of the food was really good, but didn't seem much different from the rest.
Each dish an absolute delight, if you want tatse of some of the best goan food go to shivers, great food, great people.....one of those places you know there's more to it than meets the eye. The Goan fish Taali takes the cake.

I love places where the staff treats you well it's always a plus according to me . As you enter they greet you with a welcome drink (delicious) and a snack with condiments.
We ordered the seafood thali (coz I love seafood) and my hubby ordered a chicken thali.
So much food for two and we thoroughly enjoyed it.
You can also ask the staff for suggestions about the chef's specialties.
Tried this place for their Zomoto ratings & it was 15 min away from my hotel.
The food, ambiance & friendly staff is just over expectation.
They first welcomed us with complimentary drink (cranberry juice) & complimentary snacks (garlic bread with various dips).
We had ordered veg & non veg goan thali, which was seriously mind boggling. One should definitely try the thali.
They also arranged cab for us as it was too late.

We visited this place based on zomato review. Located very close to the king's mansion, this restaurant is a bit off the main road. The place is divided into various sections. Bar area, Lounge and open garden seating. We ordered for a fish and prawn thali each for lunch.

The staffs were too cordial and helped us in selecting the menu proactively.
Two chicken continental main course were taken along with iced tea and a mocktail named Blush.
The goat cheese chicken and the keiv chicken were mind blowing.
The staffs are highly trained.

Great place. Mr. Sandeep the manager is very welcoming and courteous. Place is simple yet attractive. Veg thali is great all the contents could be consumed. Fish thali was equally great but few contents might be hard for some to consume. Food is bit oily.
Shivers is a lovely place located just behind the Candolim Beach lanes. We had the Thalis (a specialty here) which were really tasty, packed a whole lot of different food on the plate, and were really filling as well. The service was very friendly and nice as well, and it was great value for money. Would most definitely recommend and would also most definitely return next time we’re in Goa!
Tucked away in the bylanes of North goa..near the kingfisher villa... This place is a great find. We went there for a Sunday lunch which was a very sleepy but surely tasty affair. However, I could see the amazing Ambience that there restaurant could provide in the evening. Candle lights, fairy lights, billowing curtains, romanantic seating and soft music, I am sure it's a romantic dream.
The service though very very slow is very cordial and polite.
We had the first thali...which was superb. Fried fish, fish Curry, rice, chapathi, papads, several interesting pickles and amazingly sour rasam types kadhi. It was a fish lover's dream. We also ordered vegetarian Indian paneer preparation for my husband which was very good as well and am omlette for my kid.
The guava cocktail was spicy and nice and they went out of their way to prepare fresh orange juice for my kid.
I am sure I am going to return some evening this week get the full experience of their ambience the next time!
It's a bit heavy on your pocket considering the quantity they serve. It's a laid back place with good food and quality ambience. It even has a Karaoke and a game bar to help make it a good experience.

Shivers is a small and cosy restuarant which I would definitely recommend to friends and followers. Keep an eye out for the lane bang opposite the Kingfisher villa, the restaurant is a little way into the lane, they do have parking inside and outside the restaurant. I personally visited the restaurant to try out the Naga pork thali and I must say I wasn't disappointed. As I'm from the northeast, I'm very familiar with Naga food and the thali brought back a lot of nostalgia. It was delicious and spicy, just the way it should be. My husband ordered the Roast beef in brown sauce with mashed potatoes which was pretty good. This restaurant is pleasant, has friendly and attentive staff and some good food that is a must try. My recommendation to everyone is the Naga pork thali!!
This is the best place to visit for lunch or dinner when you are around Candolim,Aguada fort or sinequarium beach...visited this place around 4pm for lunch and was satisfied with their service and food....lot many option in the menu...every dish is cooked perfectly...loved the ambiance as well...

To be very true and honest, Shivers garden is one of the most romantic restaurent I have visited till date. We wanted to explore a new outlet near candolim for dinner and while browsing the internet, found some beautiful pictures of this place. Those pictures were so amazing that I insisted my husband for a dinner at Shivers. He was confused for a while but finally agreed. This restaurant is situated at the Fort Aguada Road, opposite the famous Kingfisher villa. There is a small lane on the opposite side of Kingfisher villa where this tranquil Little Romantic Oasis lies. This place turned out to be much more amazing, well decorated and pleasant then the pictures I found on the internet, with a beautifully decorated garden with soothing live music.For us, biggest surprise was the 'Naga Thali' in the menu. Both me and my husband are big fans of authentic Naga food cooked with some local herbs. We ordered two naga thalis along with some starters and everything was excellent. We also tried some desserts suggested by the hotel staff which was yummilicious. The hotel staff is very friendly and service is very good. Till now, we have visited this restaurant three times and every time, this hidden paradise surprises us with it's amazing food, service and beauty. Our first experience in this restaurant was so good that we promised to visit this place whenever we visit Goa. This place is my personal favorite and I highly recommend this place to every tourist in Goa.

Tried the restaurant after reading the reviews here .and not been dispointed although it's off road not visible from main road unless u know the place good open air restaurant .menu prices on higher side but worth trying have tried fish thali @490 Good portion of fried fish nice curry also the veggies included was very nice dried fish salad excellent. It's including bibinca. Worth trying.
Tried Pomfret which was good in taste. Naga chicken not so good. They mentioned its spicy, but for south indians that wont be called as spicy, even I felt the taste also not good. Might be they are cioking food by keeping foreigners in mind. It will be better if they cook and add up spicy levels according to the nationility of people.

Oh god thank u Zomato for recommendation or else would have never found this gem in Goa. We went for a holiday in August and wanted to go to a place for a quiet romantic dinner. And what a find shivers is. There is ample parking space once u reach inside the lane it is located on. The ambiance is perfectly romantic, the owners are gracious and the staff are perfect hosts. The food is authentic Goan and one thali was enough for both of us. Never will my trips to Goa be complete without dining at shivers now. Hope to see u in November.

Just incredible. We had the tandoori prawns, fisherman's basket, mermaids in blankets and chicken curry with garlic naan. Superb. The best food we have ever had. The service is amazing too (ask for Adam, he's the best-but to be fair they're all so helpful). The cocktails are superb. We would eat here again and again.

A hidden gem in goa streets. Soothing ambiance with seating inside and in open. I went here for lunch in late afternoon and sat outside, with lots of greenery around a fan was sufficient. A must visit place. I had the famous veg thali, its more than enough for one. Small advice just ask for raita and extra chapati to complete the combo. Gulabjamun served with thali was hard and could be made better I also had pina colada, and it was perfectly made.

Shivers...yes it will give you shivering joyous experience the moment you enter there. Very friendly and helpful stuffs. They have awesome welcome alcoholic drink and bruschetta to offer you if you do check-in with selfie in Insta or FB. Though it was bad that being a non-alcoholic, couldn't taste the drink. However enjoyed the self -assembled bruschetta.
And if you have any issue while choosing the dish they protectively will come to help you. The mouth watering Prawn thali is so delicious. The king fish thali is good, only did not like the fish curry, because it did not match my Bengali taste. However if you are Konkani, you definitely gonna enjoy it. The serving man clicked nice pics of us as well.

One of the most eye catching restaurant in Goa. The place is hidden in a some Lane in candolim, but when we get inside then there is no better place to spend some quality time. Here we get option to choose where we wanna seat, we can sit outside with a small bridge and some flowers dazzling around or we can comfortably seat inside with the background of bottles of wine. Lovely crowd and the staff is very interactive. Talking about the food, you should try the fish thaali.It's presented in such a manner that it grabs your eyeballs, the taste is proper goan. When I asked my husband to drive to this place and we stopped at the entrance , he wasn’t too pleased as it looked like a place In the middle of nowhere in a small street with no parking.Boy was he in for a surprise.
Well, as it turned out they do have some parking within the restaurant .
This restaurant was a gem of a find all thanks to zomato and all the reviewers who did us a favour by eating here and telling us about it .
The restaurant is extremely romantic looking and has seating indoors and outdoors with a small stream and fish, a garden with fruit trees and a grape vine, white flowy curtains and friendly , warm staff to make your experience complete.
We ordered a Veg Thali ,their signature fish thali for the husband and a burger for my daughter .
This is not your regular thali place firstly .we saw the staff bringing out fresh plantain leaf for the thali and the food is served beautifully .
It’s actually quite heavy and the veg thali was shared between two of us easily.
DH loved the fish thali , he couldn’t stop gushing about it.
We just loved this place and think it’s definitely the kind of place to stop at for a beautiful meal.
Have visited on several occasions now . To date had no complaints . Have had Sunday lunch twice both times very nice . Staff are friendly and welcoming . My only concern is the parking which in season I can imagine will be very tricky . Would visit more if we were closer tho .

Candolim location.. we went here for a late lunch at around 2.45pm.. there was no one else so we had the luxury of choosing any table..
the place is right opposite Kingfisher villa now known as Sachin Joshi villa.. the place (Shivers) is much larger compared to the narrow entrance.. parking for 2-3 cars and many bikes is easily possible..
coming to the restaurant features..
Ambiance: Amazing.. be it day light or chandelier lights in the evening.. the setting is so good.. they have 2 bridges and fishes are running here and there below them.. water drops at a steady fast pace from the puncturted pipes above, creating an illusion of rain sound.. seats are comfortable and table height is just right..
Service: well.. slow.. very slow.. but wait.. just read the food section below..
Food: we ordered Veg Thali (recommended by the server) and Naga style Chicken Thali..
it took around 20-30 minutes for the food to arrive.. we wondered why this much time even though Veg Thali was suggested by them.. thanks to the fishes and good setting of the restaurant, we spent the waiting time looking around..
Finally the food arrived.. Oh My God!
The presentation itself was so mouth watering.. we knew in a second why it took time and how awesome it would taste.. if you see the images in this review.. the food was served on Banana leaf with earthenware.. I somehow took the pics as I was dying to taste the first bite.. all our thoughts of the waiting time vanished with just the look of it..
all items in both Veg and Chicken were very well cooked.. full of taste of the ingredients and not of too much masala and almost Zero oil.. the Naga Chicken Thali was entirely new for me and all the items in it.. it also had a stuffed chilli.. even with the Veg Thali all items were superb.. a gulab jamun in it looked pretty tempting to have at the last..
everything was homely cooked and with Love..
the food was so good.. we would have waited an hour for it..
Suggestion for the restaurant: nothing from our side but we hope they provide similar well cooked and tasty food even when the restaurant has more guests..
Recommended: Definitely.. try it at least once if you are in Calangute/Candolim.. Personally I will surely go back on my next visit to Goa.. may be dinner next time..

Have no reason not to give a perfect 5 rating . The restaurant was suggested by a localite at a tourist place. Then I searched it on Zomato and tried . A bit interior so need to find out . The place is small but cozy and has lively atmosphere . Met the owner of the place - Melroy , a very charming personality . It was not too crowed . As decided went for fish thali , a juicy chicken patty burger and chicken momo . Thali was simply fabulous - finished every bit of it . Burger was yummilicious - my son enjoyed it thoroughly . Momo cud have been better . But surely a worth trying place .
1. The restaurant is in a lane and you may think there's no place for parking, but surprisingly there is place inside the compound where 3-4 cars can easily be parked.
2. The restaurant is awesome. Loved the place. Amazing ambience. Continuous water pouring from the artificial water fountain. Loved the outdoor seating.
3. My friend is from assam so she wanted to have north Eastern food. We had the pork Thali. The food was so tasty. We Loved it. I've uploaded pics of the Thali. You can make out how tasty the food was.
4. We ordered cocktails and it was good but a little expensive. It had baileys in it so it was worth it.
5. Food was pretty expensive but worth it. We were full and had a bill of 1400/- including the cocktail. Worth every penny spent. Would love to visit again.
For good North Eastern food do visit this place. They have special roasted non veg buffet on Sundays which is very famous.

I recently had dinner at this Cafe. The ambience is too awesome with some pleasant water sound at outside sitting . The sitting here is divided into three sections one is inside siting that is the ac section, the second one is for hookah and the third then there is this third section for friendly sitting.This place is good to go on dates. Specially dinner dates. Service here is great. The manager was helpful and polite with fluent English. Plenty to pick from on the menu. We started here with chicken gralic kebab. It was tasty a bit sweet in taste and an must try dish. Then we ordered chicken fried momos. Momos here were ace in taste the best I had tried so far. The sauce with momos was a bit sweet and sour. The French fries were sauteed in chilli sauce . Which gave them a perfect spicy taste. Lovely fresh food with good quality. Loved this place for its super calming vibes with some nice lighting and fountains.Worthy a visit.
Must visit this place if you want to try thali, we had prawns thali and fish thali it was delicious. Moreover we tried barbecue pomfret, if you like less Masala then you must try it. Ambience was pretty clam and pleasant. The person (waiter)who was explaining and suggesting dish was so polite.

This place looks very pretty even though it's small. (They even have beautiful Koi Fishes.) The staff are well trained and friendly. The food is good too.
Went there after seeing 4+ ratings for this. And it was totally worth it. We were the only customer at that time but they gave us prompt service. We ordered Murgh Achari & American Cheese Burger, which turned out to be the best burger I've ever put into my mouth (sorry McD). Also the ambiance was pleasent, sounds of water pouring makes you feel calm. I'd definitely recommend it.
For beginners the food is simply amazing... Had the beef roast and the tongue roast.. mind boggling.. the staff is as friendly and courteous as they come.. although located on the inside, the ambience is surreal and romantic. The cabbanas and the waterfalls create a magical feel.. wanting to spend more time..will be back for sure.
Their Goan Thali is the talk of the town, I have a strong craving for Thali and this place is highly recommended if you would want to taste the authentic Goan fish thali, I was stuffed enough that I could have anything late until supper.. more over the ambiance is pretty cool .. Not enough superlatives for Shivers. Everything about our meal was 1st class aside from the bill. We had Szechuan wings, a steak, Thai chili basil noodles, all of which were excellent. Two double G&T's and large Kingfisher beers. They also gave us a welcome aperitif as well as some and a tasty appetizer. Our servers, R&R (sorry terrible with names and spelling) were brilliant. Ambience was great. Cost was roughly 3300 rupees for a large, filling and excellent meal.

We had their home grown food items which tasted very good. The perfect spot for a quiet and romantic evening with a lot of lip smacking delicacies with spicy Naga dishes as well for north easterners.
Comfortable ambience, delicious food, every bite was an unique experience, very humble n prompt service by staff. Would be visiting more often to try out all the spread they hav to offer.
Dinner in this beautiful restaurant was definitely worth it. It's on a small lane off the main road.
They have both outdoor and indoor seating. We enjoyed the outdoor seating.
Their staff told us the days special and helped us order starters and drinks. They have a really fantastic cook from Nagaland and they use those chillis in their food.

Speaking of the chef, her expertise was evident in every bite. We had Lobster for the 1st time and her guidance was really appreciated. The Lobster and fish fillet were cooked to perfection, leaving me with a lasting impression of their culinary prowess. The attention to detail in the preparation was truly commendable.

Best restaurant in Candolim. The reviews are true. Great food. The place is decked up neatly and very cozy . The staff are extremely courteous and well mannered. I would like to specially mention about Mr Alam and Mr Rohit.
The only drawback is the location, entrance to the restaurant and the parking .
All in all ... it is a must try atleast once.
We had a variety of chicken and prawn starters, alongside sushi and fried rice. Loved the atmosphere, service and food! One of our favourite meals in Goa so far.
Amazing place for fish thalis. One place which gives you fish thali at all Times.
Me being a fish lover I went in search of fish thali in North goa but at a later time than usual. Usually restaurants don't serve fish thali after 3pm but this place even at 4 was serving fish thali. So highly recommended for a fish lover who is always used to having late lunch 😂.
Taste was amazing. Typical Goan style fish thali . It was served in earthen vessels . Sweet dishes like bebinca were served . Even the curry had two pieces of king fish and fish fry too was of a great size. If you have a bit more appetite even then your stomach will be full.
Ohh and how can I forget the welcome drink they served. It was jeera masala flavored kokum sharbat served in a unique way in a test tube .
One con about this place is it's not pocket friendly.
Loved the place. The service and food here is amazing. It's a must visit place with a good ambience. People staying in Candolim do check this place out, you won't be disappointed.

Had a great evening at this place, the ambience is just amazing, surrounded by beautiful garden and traditional type restaurant with all delicious cuisines. The most attracted for us was the commendable hospitality and service. Food was amazing as well. Cocktails and drinks were just awesome. We spent a long time enjoying the food, garden, rain and hospitality.

This place is literally a hidden gem !!
It's nestled inside, and if your cars large-r, you might have some adapting to do, to park.
Once you're inside, you'll see that they've taken the time to develop the place with the trees, wood and wicker work and the bamboo-waterfall-thing that offers a natural cooling system like back in the days in Goa.
It took me back to stories of the time when our ancestors would use dried palm sheets over windows and then throw water over it to cool the house down, ah the old ways!
They have sections for book lovers and a sports loungey in-doors area.
The staff are attentive, friendly, and take the time to walk you through a context on certain dishes.

Our first meal in Goa was a great success at Shivers, a restaurant in Candolim. The restaurant is located in one of the smaller streets opposite King's Mansion, and it has a huge outdoor/indoor lounge and a bar. Good for parties and get together!
We tried the Goan King Fish Thali and the Chicken Thali, and both were excellent. The portions were generous, and the food was flavorful and authentic. They serve quite a number of dishes/cuisines. The service was also excellent, and our waiter was very attentive.
We highly recommend Shivers to anyone looking for a delicious and authentic Goan meal. The thali sets are a great way to try a variety of dishes, and the service is top-notch.
The Ambiance is like no other very subtle. Polite and professional staff shout out to our server Rohit, Manager TJ and Head Chef Food was exceptionally outstanding never the less kudos to Ruth and Melroy for going over and beyond to make our experience tailored to our taste. Liked the place the ambience was lovely the food could have been better but good for a moderately priced place. The garlic butter prawns, the Naga bao & the Steak were outstanding.
