It's mid August; the monsoon is subsiding and it is about time to hit the beach again. On this pleasant Sunday afternoon, I visited La Brise to attend their Sunday Brunch. The first line of the invite email read, "Your Sunday just got better with the all new Beachnic, a Sunday Picnic & brunch at the La Brise beach shack by Novotel, Candolim," so I didn't really know what to expect. I had never been to the place before, even though it launched last December (2015); so it seemed quite a plan to spend my Sunday afternoon at the Beachnic by La Brise.La Brise is one-of-its-kind uber chic lounge space and is absolutely different from the shack experience. This colloquial seafacing restaurant on Candolim Beach, North Goa is a place to be at for a chilled out Sunday afternoon at the beach, accompanied by some delectable food, freeflowing drinks and vibrant music. Beachnic : The Sunday Picnic & Brunch at La Brise is priced at INR 1599 + taxes. But there is a Buy 1 Get 1 Offer running until the 4th of September. So you might as well hurry up and reserve a table soon.
My my.. What an ambience. Lounge (open air) overlooking the beach. Owned by novotel I suppose. Sets up the mood for a perfect evening with ur special someone. Food though is average. Service is amazing. Felt like a 5 star restaurant. Rates are very high. Digs a hole. Need to work on the taste to make the rates worth it. :)

Its a restaurant overlooking the beach. Me and my friend visited the place a day back.
The ambience was great. Had a lovely time.
Food was equally good.
Service was up to the mark. And Melvyn(who was attending to us) was very prompt and helpful.

This is a beach view restaurant overlooking the sea.. Ambience is really good. We only ordered Chicken cafreal and it was tasty. Didnt order any drinks as it was priced very high as per Goa standards. Service was pathetic. The bill came in 30mins only when we threatened to leave.

La Brise is the beach side restaurant for the Novotel Group of hotels in Goa.
If you're a guest staying at Novotel, you'll be provided with free shuttles to and fro.
The food, overall was good, and it ranges from Goan to North Indian to Continental Cuisines. The menu is modestly(well..... relatively) priced. Anyone looking to sit down, relax, and indulge themselves in the exceptional service should consider a visit.
Appetizers - We didn't order any appetizers, but the menu does have a pretty decent spread.
Entrée - The Grilled Lobster!
Slow Grilled in either Continental Butter Garlic style or our own Indian Tandoori style, the lobster was one hell of treat! Served with a side of fries and salad dressed in olive oil, it is perhaps one of the finer items dwelling on their menu. La Brise is one of the only few places in Goa which serves Grilled Lobster at a moderately affordable price(2000-ish. Other places will serve lobster which is priced anything North of 3000 or even 5000.
Teeny tiny note - This is NOT a red lobster. But it's still astounding.
Chicken Biriyani had a little too much oil, but otherwise it was pretty good.
Goan Prawn Curry was absolutely flawless. Ordered with a Goan Poe(pronounced something like poi-ee) and Plain White rice. It was a wonderful blend of Goan spices and prawn cooked in coconut oil.
Goan Prawn Xacutti. Ideal to eat with Roti or Naan or Rice. Very different from the Goan Prawn Curry, as this has a relatively richer and thicker gravy. Goan spiced Prawns are somewhat of a favorite and they are highly recommended.
This also comes in Peri-Peri(translation..... Super Super Spicey) along with a few other variants.
Expenditure - Unless you're going to splurge on the lobster(which I still believe is worth every rupee) you'll end up with around 400 to 600 an individual.
Ambience - You're greeted by a rather mundane looking massive wooden door which opens up into a wonderful pathway leading to the seating area near the beach.
Verdict - Brilliant for dinner. After a long day, it's an amazing place to unwind, sitting there enjoying the sea breeze. Service is top notch.

One of best places for Lunch in North Goa, away from crowded & cheap shacks at Candolim Beach. The Quality of food and the service is one of the best i have ever seen. It has a beautiful setup & the breeze from the sea makes it a memorable experience. Free shuttle service for guests at Novotel. Highly recommended 👍🏼👍🏼
Just when we realised it was a sister concern of Novotel group of hotels, we knew it was going to be good. We had the red Snapper, texas chicken wings, stir fry chicken and fried rice and many more things. We came twice and even a third time to try their breakfast spread but unfortunately they were filming a cooking show so maybe they had closed shop. A great place to have a meal by the ocean. I know it is beyond their control but if they could clear the smaller shacks before them, it would be a total win! The shacks kind of blocked the nice view of the ocean.
The place is done up beautifully. You must try and catch the sun set view here. We weren't in the mood today too much so we ordered just the nacho and cheese and the chocolate mousse. Both were enjoyable. I would go back there again. This place is owned by Novotel & Mercure so they arrange free picks and drops to this restaurant if you are a resident guest.

Beautiful location...definitely recommend it for the ambience and the Lobster Thermidor. The staff is extremely friendly. Do visit it when you are in Goa next.

This is run by Novotel and if you are staying at any of the Novotel hotels, a free shuttle is provided to La Brise which is on Candolim (Bardez) beach... The setting is idyllic with a view of the sea and time almost stands still... Service is laid back but friendly... Food is awesome - some not to be missed items - batter fried Kalamari - the best I have had in Goa and that includes places like Martin's Corner and the famous(?) Sousa Lobo, stir fried prawns and beef stakes... Bartender is competent and makes good martinis, gimlets, pina coladas etc... A piece of paradise... The only issue which would need a bit of working on the part of management is that on any given day many items on the menu are not available - for lunch no crabs, for dinner the next day no beef, crab cakes etc....
very beautiful restro by Novotels for all the guest they provide a pick and drop service !! we ordered mix souce pasta and mix veg with garlic souce along with a side order or hakka noodles ! excellent food just your taste and amazing view of the sea too !! just the sound of the chimney is annoying seems as honeybees as around !
Amazing location on the bardez beach. This place has a great view during sunset. The decor is very classy. The staff is amazing and so is the entertainment. You must visit place at the time of sunset
It's on the beach so you can enjoy your food and drinks while seeing the sunset. Nice ambience, food and music. Service is awesome. Loved this place as was able to enjoy the beach with lunch/dinner
the ambience is what is terrific.. the long walk amidst lighted posts ending with a restaurant that just opens out infinitely on to the beach is something you will least expect. sit outside in the evening, if you can manage a table, else, inside which is also not bad. coloured led lamps on each table adds to the mood. the food was good, quantities right for a person, so you will need to order for each person. the tiramisu was superb! all in all the whole family was thrilled. food takes time to be served but then the place is meant for you to spend time..
The look and location are fabulous. Food is good and can get better. Service a bit slow. But the overall Ambience makes you want to stay longer. Can visit again.
Amazing starters and main course. Their beef dishes are to die for. Butter garlic prawns are also a must try. Do not go for their desserts.
The restaurant overlooks the sea which is a plus point but I wish they did not play their music that loud.

One of the best fine dining restaurants in Goa, which is connected to the beach! The place has an old world charm kind of a decor, which makes it quite different from other famous restaurants in Goa that focus only on the food & not the decor.
If you are lucky you may get a table outside overlooking the sea, which just adds to the evening!
The menu is very long and as the restaurant is multi-cuisine, one is spoilt for choices. Its better to ask your server for recommendations, which we did and each and every recommendation turned out to be better than the other.
A few dishes that we tried, which are worth mentioning (though I feel most of the food we had was great):

Prawns butter garlic
Meeth seekh
Grilled Red snapper
Chicken Biryani
The staff if very friendly and know their job very well.
The only downside of this place is that they shut shop by 11, which I felt for a place like Goa is too early.

Absolutely exquisite and an experience worth every penny. We spent a lazy Sunday brunch there in a group of 24 ranging from infants to the 40s in August and it was the highlight of our Goa trip.
Beautifully built with a stunning view of the pristine Candolim beach it has a lot of space and a very relaxing atmosphere. We were lucky to be there on a sunny day offering great views and the perfect temperature. We opted for ala carte to cater to the varied needs of the huge group and were left satisfied with almost everything we ordered, be it appetizers, entres or beverages.
The singer for the afternoon was probably the highlight and he wove magic with his soulful voice and selection of Indian and International classics forcing the laziest of us to get up and swing. We ended up spending 4 hours at the restaurant and the connected beach and could have stayed for much much longer if we didn't have other places to be.
Being owned by the Accor group (Novotel & Grand Mercure) they accept FHRAI cards which makes it an altogether steal if you happen to have one.

I have definitely fallen in love with this place. What a splendid location and well done place this is. Right on the ever so clean Candolim beach overlooking the empty shores and beautiful decor.
The staff is amazing and so is the entertainment.
Although we went for Sunday brunch we ended up trying their A la Carte option and weren't disappointed at all.
The veg.options are limited but really good. Everything is exceptional.
The cocktails they make arent that great though.
Food I loved:
-Fries ( yes they are awesome)
-Veg and Chicken Biryani
-Prawn Balchao
-Chicken Fajita
-Chicken in Tequila and Lemon Sauce
-Garlic and Cheese Bread

I landed here by chance, there was no plan to go to this places and it happened just because the place next door was full. What a happy accident!
Other than good ambience and decor, the place has some amazing sea food to offer. Their Garlic Butter Prawns are a must try. We ordered over 10 starters and none of them can be called 'not good'.
A place i just cant get enough of . They have a beautiful location with a huge deck that opens out to beach. The decor is very classy, An ideal place for sunset viewing . Go the beach, play in water and come back and relax.

Food - They recommended to try Bailey's chocolate mousse. Dripping with bailey's . . Amazing dish , presented well and tasted Yumm !!! . Masala chai can be skipped. Parathas are good.. Akuri was dry and good .

Awesome live music, great airy ambience and a mesmerizing sea view. Very hospitable servers and delicious food. This place is a gem. They have lunch buffet as well. We ordered for the a LA carte and were not disappointed. Ordered for ros omelette n two eggs cooked in any style. Ice tea, couple of beers. The food was very visually enticing and well presented. Tasted great.

Great location, great ambience. Large and spacious. Plays great music. Lots of different kinds of cocktails. Make sure you have the cashew feni mojito, it is absolutely lovely! Food wise, not so great but once you've had a few, who cares about the food! Make sure you go here for a sacked out evening.
This place has a great view. Go during the sunset and you won't be disappointed. We ordered the chicken shawarma, mushroom soup with truffle oil and the red snapper. All were good and up to mark. I would definitely go back for the view and drinks!
Good ambience... Nice popular music...OK food...very slow service especially given that it is off season. It has shuttle service from the hotel which is 5 mins walk away otherwise.

Being a regular visitor to Goa, on my recent visit I found this Gem. The food and the flavours were well crafted and to perfection. What takes the toast is the beautiful ambience and vibe. Truly my go to place in Goa.
Absolutely a must for anyone visiting Goa and looking for a place that is visually more appealing then the best lounge restaurants in Bali Phuket or kph samui.

Rating it 4 stars only because of the amazing location on the Bardez beach. They have a beautiful location and a huge deck that opens out to beach. Need I say more. The decor is very classy, maybe because it is operated by Novotel. We came here for sunset viewing and stayed for an hour or two. Watched the sunset, ordered a few drinks. Also ordered the Malai Broccoli Kebab and Nachos. The nachos was basically nachos and cheese without beans. The kebabs were super amazing. All in all a good place though the service is a bit slow but the view is amazing and the hospitality great. Do go here for an amazing sunset viewing experience!!

AMAZING AND REJUVENATING
Amazing is the first word that comes to my mind, after been at this place. The palatable food for a foodie person like me. Music and the ambiance keeps you alive. Beautiful just as it looks in the images you search.

This is the private beach club of Novotel. Attended it during my stay in Novotel. The DJ was arranged for the whole night, till 4am. The food was great. Due to being a high tide season, the beach was closed but I believe they allow party on the beach during Summers. Novotel provides free shuttle service to and fro from this place.
What a beauty this place is for a candle light dinner on the shores! How good is the ambience for a bottle of wine with friends to relive old times. Simply superb
