We ordered dinner takeaway from swagath last night comprising of Chilli paneer,Half boneless chicken,Paneer lababdaar,Dal Makhani and for breads Lal mirchi parontha,Garlic naan,Malabaari parontha.The food was good except the Paneer lababdaar had minutes gravel (kankar) in them which were encountered on multiple bites.Rest of the food was quite fantastic except the packaging seemed like the food came from a dhaba,there was oil dripping from the butter chicken and the paneer and it leaked from the container into the breads, though the breads were packed in foil paper but the entire unpacking process was quite hideous.A fine Indian restaurant such as Swagath should pay a little more attention on its packaging in times when majority of restaurant food is being delivered at home.
Murgh Tikka Lababdar and Malabari Paratha is by far the best combination and works for us. Good preparation and service standards.

Recently visited this fine dine-in restraunt in sector 26. The handi food was pretty good but the fish left much to be desired. If you wish to have liquor then happy hour one + one is a bonus. Dal makhani and tandoori roti is a must try here.Overall a real Good experience and perfect place for family dinner.

A fine dining restaurant that is reminiscent of the times when families used to go out for a dinner together. That is not to say that the place is old or ancient. That only means that it is a restaurant that offers you a peaceful, dimly lit, personalized service. The food is well prepared, well presented and fulfilling. The portion sizes are though not as proportionate to the pricing, but nevertheless worth the entire experience one is getting.
I ordered Paneer with malabari parantha and that is a meal for ages. Just have one of those and go home and crash. Sometimes one just needs to indulge in such pleasures of food that is simply mentally rewarding for allowing one to let the steam off. My vote for Swagath if one needs to go for the option of traditional dine- in experience with family and/or friends.
We were there to celebrate my mother's bday, food we ordered was paneer and chicken delicacies but the best was their dessert sizzling brownie, ample seating area but table booking is recommended, polite staff, overall a unforgettable experience.

This Delhi restaurant chain has found a home in Chandigarh, being the best South Indian restaurant in the city. They have an extensive menu filled with Chinese, Mughlai, and South Indian food to choose from. I’ve tried quite a few things here, loving their Hyderabadi biryani and malabar parottas. The chicken ghee roast is quite heavy (the sauce less oily than usual), but the chilis certainly shine. The Mangalorian gassi pomfret had plenty of curry to soak up the fish as well. Though this restaurant is quite pricy, it’s probably the closest you’ll find to authentic South Indian food in Chandigarh.

All the starters especially Paneer achari, paneer malai tikka, tandoori Khumbh, momos are out of this world. An all time favourite Indian cuisine restaurant. Be it North Indian or Mughlai or South Indian, they don't shy away from anything. Have a long list of favourites but I'd recommend the Chettinad chicken, butter chicken, paneer makhani, and dal makhani. Malabar parantha or lehsuni naan go well in breads. Ambiance is alright with minimal focus on a theme. Wait is long on weekends, so book in advance.

Definitely liked this place. Relaxed atmosphere. Had chicken tikka lababdaar & malabari paranthas . Food was served hot. Bit late in serving but was amazing. Also quantity of chicken was bit too less (probably for 2 persons only) so order accordingly . Going back for more 👍🏻

Went for official lunch with around 8 people opted for soup and paneer starter and then had appam which was awesome ... finished with fresh lime soda good place for South Indian as appam was awesome
Loved their bhuna ghost with malabari paratha, it had kerfect flavour and paratha was very flavour full as well. Also, tried the prawns andhra styled which were ok. Would definitely visit this place again.
Really nice place, and gets really really crowded on weekends so plan your visit accordingly.
We ordered a lahori chicken tikka, malabari parantha and chettinad pepper chicken to go with it, all the dishes were superb in taste, quantity was good enough for two people but the pricing is high.

My favourite place for Indian food , the butter chicken and malabari prantha is my patent and really yum , don’t order the butter chicken if u don’t like sweet chicken , also try the ceylon chefs special paratha as it’s a fusion of egg paratha and malabari

This is a perfect place to satisfy your taste buds. Food is great and ambience is good too. Paneer Kasturi and Dal Makhni are the two things which are my absolute favorite at Swagath. Variety of breads are worth trying. Overall a must visit if you're out with family for lunch/dinner.

In main course, we had ordered dal a sawagath, navrattan korma with naan and Swagath special rice.
In the end we had ordered Virgin mojito.
The soup,starter and main course was delicious and full of flavors but mojito was a letdown(it was just lime soda in 200 bucks😂).

We order food last week from this outlet for birthday lunch of my friend. We order veg & nom veg both. In veg dal makhni is very tasty & creamy texture with flavors of spices. Order veg biryani also & that is also very well cooked & all the vegetables mixed well In the biryani, quality of rice is excellent. Non veg biryani is also rich in taste. Overall very much satisfied with the food & enjoyed a lot.
Dine in was fine. Super Long island tea and ice peached tea. Must try : soya chaap malai, meet Dosa. Cons : Very costly affair to go frequently .
There are practically endless options for tikkas, tandoori and Maa ki daal at Chandigarh, however this one truly stands out. If you are looking for a fine dine experience with some great North Indian Cuisine, with family or friends and office colleagues, this is the place for you! They have an array of some really amazing dishes, but what I would recommend is as under:

Though this place has a South Indian Management, with a very warm and hospitable staff, the food is among the best North Indian cuisine restaurants in town. No trip to Chandigarh is complete without a visit to Swagath! Its a must have on your check list.

The Murgh Peshawari Tikka was very tender, masaledar and yummy. Dal Makhani very very tasty..and butter chicken was perfectly sweet and spicy.
The icing on the cake was their Signature Tooty Fruity. It was delicious!!

Well people looking for a family restaurant having mouth watering food??? This place gave it all....so I must say they have most flavoursome non alcoholic beverages....the food is delicious tough they provide small portion...their ambience is quite impressive....must try is sizzling brownie....just make sure u make reservation if u guys are visiting on weekend cause it is quite engaged restaurant..!! Swagath has been serving us since years. Although the food is amazing but sometimes it’s not upto the mark. But it’s a good try. From soups to starters to main course everything is worth it. And trust me the brownie is mouth watering.
Fine Dining has ALWAYS been a pleasure at Swagath. I've been coming here literally for years. When it comes to dessert, nothing beats their Hot Sizzling Chocolate Brownie and Vanilla Ice Cream.

Swagath has been serving us relishing food since years. Anything and everything served by the restaurant is amazing when it comes to taste, flavours and the aromatic pleasure. Out of the ‘need to try it all’ menu we recommend you the two dishes that you have to try. First is the Hyderabadi chicken biryani, served with raita. As they write it in the menu, the dish is cooked with chef’s own blend of spices, they live up to it and the secret spices turns out to be relishing experience. The chicken is nicely marinated and soft. They have vegetarian variant i.e. Subz Biryani which tastes delightful and the vegetarians shall not regret as the equally good blend of flavours is served in the vegetarian version too. The second amazing thing you should try is the Malabari parantha, it is a layered parantha (flat bread) distinct from the famour lacha parantha. It is fluffy, flaky and very light (so ne ready to re-order). You usually don not find a perfectly made malabari parantha in the Northern region but Swagath stands-out and serves you a perfect malabari parantha. You can have it with any dish (vegetarian/non-vegetarian) from their mughlai or swagath handi. Usually a dish is reviewed and you are asked to accompany with any flat bread but in case of malabari parantha it is opposite, order it and choose any of the dishes (preferably gravy based).

Tempting food, excellent service..we enjoyed our dinner.. My family and friends are highly satisfied. V nice Ambiance.... Will surely recommend others also. All the staff right from reception and manager are outstanding. During the meal Chef asked the feedback in very humble way and take instructions for improvement if any required.......but I v happy to see like that......All my friends..... Best fine dining restaurant in chd acc to mee..i had a lovely time there..i ordered schezuan chicken- crispy with lots of garlic nd bell papers tossed in sauce..in veg i orderd saute vegetables-fresh veggies blended with butter nd garlic..talumein soup was good too..in mocktail i had cindrella- juice base moctail..now best of the best- sizzling brownie-no exp required..ambience was good..in tdys modern world..fine dining is not the preferred choice..still swagath has kept its taste intact..families prefer these restaurants..thumbs upp to the team 👍👍👍👍

Nice, classy and well managed place with great helpful, mannered staff always at your service. Restaurant with little high rates but worth in standards and quantity. We went for casual dinner with friends and it was nice experience. Food quality is good. Not like it was ultimate or extremely delicious, but yes nicely cooked, spices were correctly add.
Alcohol is fine, not much variety but it was nice to have a drink or two with dinner.

Food - preparation is in most dishes authentic and thence tasty. Bar needs a major revamp , some milkshakes drinks need a redo , as they very expensive and totally not worth the taste . Just go here for the main course , you won’t be disappointed. Best part is , its a all day dining.

The portion size was excellent the taste was at par the dishes were made fresh and the Tori was crispy and soft

Was looking for good vegetarian options and my friend took us to Swagath. Being a hardcore non vegetariani don’t really fancy veg food but the food here was delicious and I didn’t really miss non veg. The ambience is nice and the staff is attentive and courteous. Service was good and it’s a nice place to visit with family. Their portion size is small though and hence once star less.

Best butter chicken ever. Try with the Kerala porota. Dal Makhani is an absolute delight. Mutton burra tastes similar to Karim's from old Delhi. Pair it with a good collection of wine or beer. The food is so delicious that I visited this place thrice during my stay at Chandigarh. The staff is very polite and the place has a nice ambience to it.
