best place for south indian food.they serve north indian food as well but south indian food is much better than that.service is fast.staff is polite and quick.
It is one of the authentic south indian restaurant in Chandigarh. The variety of Chutneys served by them will just amaze you and will leave you licking the small bowls. The dosas are great, utapams are soft and delicate as required. A plate of medu bada is sufficient for one person who and will keep him full for few hours. Place is elegant and spacious and all the Corona precautions are well intact.
Good eatery place with a distinctive taste in Chiense and South Indian Cuisine. Hakka Noodle and vegitable dosa/Utpam are worth trying/ The place becomes over crowded at times and one may have to wait. The Group also has a branch in sector 35, Chandigarh

I ordered upma, jalebi and vada idli from this outlet and it comes out so fresh and tasty. I am not much into south indian but this place realy have my heart now.

My favorite out here is rawa masala dosa, so crispy and delicious to eat. Forget about counting calories when having south Indian fare. Top it with a cup of filter coffee
Good food as always..had paper rava dosa and South indian thali . Food here is much better than Panchkila outlets where we are regulars but this outlet at 17 beats all others, hands down. ..barring the rasmalai.
The rasmalai wasn't as good but then it's not a south indian delicacy ..better go to sindhi for that craving ;)

Visited sagar ratna after long time last sunday and again i had good experience.
Dosa was average in taste, loved the taste of chutny and sambhar.
Service was on time, ambiance was also good.
I was craving for south indian food so landed in sagar ratna.
They have decent interiors and ample space for seating also. Seating were comfortable.
Had Dahi Vada, Paneer Masala Dosa. Dahi Vada were amazing but paneer dosa has not impressed me. Dosa should be more crispy, yes filling inside dosa was nice.

This is a place where my family likes to have occasionally dinner. It’s crowded on weekends but the service is superb. And food specially butter masala dosa is buttery as it meant to be n sambhar and side chutneys are good too.

This place is a vegetarian paradise because everything is veg.
We tried their chole bhaturay, plain dosa, spring roll dosa and lassi.
Chole bhaturay were so good. It was served with onions and pickle.
I also loved the spring roll dosa. The chutneys they serve were so good.
The only disappointment was the lassi. It was so not worth the price.
The staff and service were also good.
Overall a great place for vegetarians.
This is the oldest family restaurant we love to
visit to have mutiple cusine. And I really love
there dahi vada and dosa.

Outstanding food and service. This is the best way to summarise. The Kulcha’s are phenomenal and so is the South Indian dishes on offer. Must visit.

I visited Sagar Ratna with my buddies. Its a nice south Indian cuisine in the heart of Chandigarh. I ordered masala dosa & onion vada. Food was very delicious & perfect from preparation to presentation. Staff was very nice & well behaved.
I’m freaking south indian food lover. Choose this restaurant in Sec 17 chd for my farewell dinner with International friends. Had Plain dosa and onion uttpam served with different south indian chutneyss and sambhar. Tangy and spicy flavous will always make you eat more 😁😁

One of my most favorite South Indian outlet in Chandigarh has to be Sagar Ratna. I have been visiting this place many times.
I am a fan of their Masala Dosa, Crisp Uttapam and Filter coffee. I bet nobody makes such crispy and delicious dosas anywhere in the city. Other rivals like Karthik have not maintained their quality but these people have surely done wonders to their quality.
The staff is super cool and offers super fast service. Needless to say, this place is a must try for any South Indian food lover. Happy eating.. :)
We ordered Veg. Rava Masala Dosa, Masala Dosa and msala Vada. Masala Vada was nice. Masala Dosa was superb. Rava Masala Dosa is an attraction. Sambhar and Coconut chutney are Nice. Vada here is really fresh and tasty. Both were made to perfection and are very fairly priced.

Visited Sagar Ratna today, the ambience of place is very nice and staff is very friendly. I ordered Rasam-Aplam, paav bhaaji, mini tooty fruity and hot gulab jamun. All the dishes are fabulous specially rasam. Price were little high but quality is up to mark. This is one of the best place to get south indian taste in city.

Sagar Ratna, even the name give you the South Indian vibe, and if not just enter the place to see amazing textured setting on the inside, hygiene level is good and the food quality as well as presentation is really good. Place is filled with positive vibes and different tastes my recommendation is rava masala dosa

i love south indian food. personally dosa is one of my all time favourites.. and sagar ratna gives you variety of dishes to satisfy your taste buds... they provide simple sitting place with sober interiors..
One thing i want to add that my experience with thr lime soda was pathetic but ther fresh juices are something you can try .. (special mention : watermelon juice)

The food was nice, but I am not giving 5 stars due to the packing of the food. It was packed in polybags and therefore I had a lot of difficulty serving it as it was hot. Moreover, I did not receive the disposable plates which I had requested for in the special instructions column.

Sagar Ratna has retained its authentic South Indian flavour and taste since long and this place never fails to please your taste buds. The staff is courteous and food is served hot and tasty always. Their dahi vadas is my all time favourite and I ensure that I order one portion of those every time I am at Sagar Ratna. Prices are decent and a decent lunch for 3-4 people will cost around ₹1200/-. If you are looking at trying out good South Indian stuff in Chandigarh, Sagar Ratna is the place to visit.

Tasty, clean, fast and great value for money, lots of parking in the evening, toilet is clean, it would be better if they have two toilets or make both toilets as unisex instead of men and women so that the women's toilet that remains vacant most of the time gets used often as well.
South Indian is amazing. They have a variety of dosas, so if in mood of a different taste go for it. Also, I like Chinese and ordered spring roll dosa, it was yumm too. Didn't like chole bhature much though.
There’s not a lot of South Indian breakfast place open early in Chandigarh but Sagar Ratna isn’t one of them - they open relatively earlier than other places. 4 stars for food and 5 stars for service.

Most places skimp out on Coconut Chutney and Sambhar but here they give you ample extra portions of it..
