I personally love tandoori chicken of this restaurant. They cook it very well.

Very old and popular place serving food since 1990 and visiting them regularly since I came to chd

perfectly cooked food. balanced salt, spices. we always order non veg and find this perfect fresh chicken, original mutton items. also my husband is body builder and hence eat balanced protein diet. tawa gives us option of health bhi taste bhi. we recommend it highly.
They are serving food since 1990 at the same place with same taste always nostalgic visting here good on food and service with pocket friendly price
I was ordering the channa with amritsari kulcha and it was really nice nd so yummy...
very tasty food as always
Tawa special chicken is my personal favorite, tender chicken, quantity, taste at its best and the service is quick.. Preferably you must dine in to enjoy the good taste
Good food, good service and best experience. Visited twice - just got my taste buds wanted to eat again the same food. I ordered chicken curry and roti. So far best soft chicken I ever had.
Love to try some other recipies next time!!
It's Good but you must try their Amritsari kulcha. It's mouth watering and damn tasty.
Thumbs up for it.
Haven't tried anything else of it.😄
One of the oldest restaurant in Chandigarh famous for their tawa spl chicken . Tried out kadhai paneer and malai kofta with stuff nan
And abience to the place give special addition

Located at an unusual spot
The ambience is not upto the mark
No compromises on food and taste
Service is quick , efficient staff
Not hard on pocket
Been there twice. Food is great but ambience is not what you would expect from a famous restaurant in chandigarh. If you are a foody, this is the place you must visit once.
Six People. Catered to our needs at 1500/-. The food was satisfactory. The ambience, not so much. A little dull atmosphere. But the food makes up for it. We ordered- 1 Dal Makhni, chicken masala, Kadahi Paneer, Shahi Paneer, Tandoori Rotis. Dal was tasty. Would rate it 4.5/5. Chicken was a little undercooked. But the gravy was tasty. Both the paneer dishes were average. But still. A 3.5 rating by my side.
Good Place for the Dinner. Ambience is perfect with dim lights. Both Veg n Non Veg items are upto the mark. Chana Masala, Non Veg Soups and Kadai Chicken is awesome.
A must try. Rates are reasonable :)
Nice place, but little dark. The service is good. Food was amazing, fully paisa-vasool. Try their Tawa special chicken, its too good. Seating arrangements should be improved. Perfect place for a family dinner :)
There are some good places in chandigarh which do not go loud for their promotions but offer pretty decent food. its located in sector 19 and is the solution for hunger of many in the city. Its offering good north indian food for more than last 20 years. Its just a few steps away from my place so its a regular visit for me. the food here is really good. i have tried almost all the dishes here. in the starters one should go for cocktail kebabs and cheese chilly. if you are fond of chinese then garlic noodles should be given a chance. in the main course paneer lababdar, paneer makhani and dum aloo kashmiri are really good and are usually on my order list. they provide a good decent ambience, service is fine as the whole staff is very polite and helps you order the best dishes. it goes very well for the pocket and if you are fed up of the other places, its a good decent visit.
the food is very tasty! the restaurant has a decent ambience nd overall it is totally worth it! it is a nyc place to dine in with your family.
If you are fine with restaurants that are not located in the prime areas then this one could be a good choice. It is located right next to the internal traffic lights in sector 19. The restaurant was established years ago and it is sort of lineage of great food. The place must have seen business graph going up and down in general but it didn't shake. The taste and flavors of food hasn't changed over the years and it is quite an achievement in itself. As I said before in many of reviews that I don’t explore dhabas menus much so is the case here. Try their dal, chicken curry, or kadhai paneer. It should taste immaculate unless it is a bad day for them. The spices and flavors do not leap too far in any other unknown dimension and come as you expect. The ambiance is minimal and has not been given much importance. The prices are reasonable. Service is decent. A place definitely worth trying and recommending.
Been here many times and not once have I ever had any complaints.. The food is good.. Pindi chana Is ek dam mast.. Really love it.. Service is quick..though ambience is little somber .. Dimly lit but overall good food .. Value for money. .. :)
A very nice Place to have good Indian food. If you don't want to think more about options in north Indian food.
Located in very fine place, easy to reach out. We have been there many times. its always a good experience.
All the dishes we had ordered so far, was up-to the mark.
One complaint we had there was about their Naan. they were half cooked, we asked the waiter there, and he immediately changed those naan. Other than that i never had such experience there.
Overall its a nice place to be in with friends and family when you want to enjoy good quality food.
As is the case in many big cities, you have to drift off the main drag of Chandigarh to discover the best eateries – Tawa restaurant supports the point well. Nip down sector-19 internal road to discover a little ode to north Indian cuisine, as the name suggests. Within the very average room (no big focus on interiors) authentic and delicious cuisine is served. One of the oldest restaurants in the city- no matter how the food business goes in the city-the place has remained firm like a pillar of good food - a pedigree that should draw in anyone who has love for north Indian food.
Situated just off the main traffic lights dividing sector 27 and sector 19, this is not an upmarket, well below plush Indian restaurant. The food is deliciously spicy, fragrant and well presented and has the same taste for many years. No variations have been applied in cookery skills but that’s secures foodie from one critical point, that is, when you are here, you know nothing will go astray. The portions are big so only get in there when you know you are genuinely craving for large meals.
The service is helpful and friendly, but dishes are on the table almost as soon as they are ordered - great if heading for the movies, but not for lingering and talking. It is hard to reckon what days should be good to have meals here since the place gets noisy randomly. I come here once in a while, love coming here though.
Happy to recommend this place anytime and look forward to returning soon Mr. Tawa.
One of the many restaurants that make you a pretty decent food. Nothing out of the world, well there is no place offering out of the world food in Chandigarh but nothing really bad about it.
Your normal Indian food served with hospitality.
Try the Chinese and you'll find the North Indian flavour in it. Worth a shot once in a while.
One of the very old restaurants in the city. The dark ambience, i could never understand that. Its been the same for ages.
Tawa Restaurant is a place you choose to dine out when not in mood of trying something new and plan to go down the conventional road. Good Indian dishes, ample portions and a swift service. The ambience is okayish but thats what I expected out here.
My Tip: Hearty and tasty food, generous portions and easy on the pocket experience. Drop in for a no frills attached dining experience.
It an "ok" sorts place with desi khana like any other ordinary place.
Tawa, as name suggests serves tasty north Indian food. Its a good place to dine-in. Prices are reasonable. Chana Masala & Kadahi Paneer are delicious with Tandoori Roti. Mix Raita & masala papad adds more taste to your meal. In desserts, Butter Scotch Ice-cream is best-em-best. Interiors are so so. But the service of the staff is prompt & cautious. In short, it's "Full Paisa-Vasool Resturant".
Such an awesome restaurant and the food is so tasty and affordable. Coming here since 15 years and counting.
Food is awesome and very nice service and the ambience is amazing
I recommend you all to try the Ved Chow Mien.. I gave it a try and it was rly tasty..the restaurant's entrance look was fantabulously decorated with flowers and bouquets..if you get an opportunity, you SHOULD pay a visit to this restaurant!
Amazing place to dine-in with awesome food. Dal Makhani, Spring Roll, Cheese Chilly ,Butter Chicken are some of the must try things on the menu.
Food was delicious.. Atmosphere was cosy.. like to visit again and again
A nice place to have small get-together. Ambience is nice, waiters are cooperative, food is good, prices are genuine. One of the oldest shop in sector 19. It's situates just near to the sector 19-27 light points in Chandigarh.Card payments are accepted here.
Good quality of food wonderful ambience good services by staff
Place is smaller in size... However, it is pretty well maintained... They have a bouquet shop right outside the restaurant... Clean place... Quick and prompt service... Tasty food... Just ensure you've explained your dish properly otherwise the waiters sometime tend to make it on their own accord...at times you might be surprised but you can always take a precautionary step... All in all... A MUST VISIT OR ORDER...!!
Good food at reasonable price
Good for family outing. Pocket friendly restaurant.
The atmosphere is chill, quick-fast waitering and food is okay too.
personally I would visit again again just for chill Ambience.
Historical Tawa restaurant. It's legacy is unmatched just like its food....Keep going strong, TAWA !
