First time in Chandigarh. I liked the place because it's simple, it's got a pool table, not an extensive menu but sufficient. The staff is polite and extremely helpful. The food was good, ordered for chowmein and veg assorted snack. The alcohol is priced well. The ambience is nice, slightly on the darker side but enough for the mood.
Visited this place almost after 12 years . Taste ,ambience, quality of food and the warmth of service still remains the same. Only thing missing was the crowd .
Literally down under, coz you feel nothing inside the moment you take a step outside suddenly it seems like that you are standing upwards....It happens occasionally mostly in winters. .. admirable ambiance
Nothing has changed over the years at this place, ambience remains the same, food was average, service was average plus, this place is cost effective but people can pay for good services these days and class of the crowds has dropped can envisage unless the place is re-done will soon turn into road side eatery. This would be more of an option rather than a choice.

I've visited Down Under for countless times during my college days. Infact this was the very 1st bar I ever visited. One of my oldest buddy returned from Cape Town last week so we made plan to relive our good old memories by visiting this place. So me along with group of my old friends visited here at least after 5-6 years.
After entering this place we all realised that the place has lost its attractions. Limited seating area and old interiors, I think even sofas were same as these were 10 years ago. So nothing can attract u to visit again and again here.
Coming to the food it wasn't bad though. We ordered lemon chicken, fried chicken, chilly chicken, spring rolls and paneer tikka with drinks. Lemon chicken was best which I don't like at most of places. Chilly chicken was average. Fried chicken had its typical taste. I don't always like any veg dish after eating non-veg but paneer tikka was so nice. Cheese quality was ultimate as it was so soft. Overall snacks were good.
There was very limited choice in main course. But after having some drinks who cares for main course lol. Butter chicken was average so does dal makhni. Kadai paneer was good.
I would have given it 2.5-3 if It was my 1st visit here. But giving 0.5 extra for my visits in golden period of my life I.e college days.
I went this place many time. A beer mug is much tasty i ever found. Loving place.
Down Under is a very good Pub, loud music played by DJ in his caged cabin, good ambiance. It is a very good.
I have been visiting this place since long with my close friends and it always have been good. The quality of Pizzas and Food that you order here is good (just as Hot Millions). The quality of sound is too good and it gets over you.
Awesome place, fast food, Continental and Chinese food tastes good. So many range of beer and alcohol available, perfect place for hangout.
