I was pleasantly surprised to see how big the airport is. Of course we arrived too early in the morning to see the full fledged working of the airport. It is clean and well maintained. Not many flights take off from here so it is not too crowded. Clean washrooms and ample seating. Some landscaping has been done. One huge guitar had been placed for pictures.
It's beautiful, well maintained but a small international airport situated on a fine location away from city rush. The another good thing is that it is named after one of the greatest revolutionaries of India "Sardar Bhagat Singh" which makes it more special.
Over all our Airports are getting facelift, Chandigarh Airport,quite cute,shops have decent ethnic collection with some contemporary ones as usual, Chandigarh city WAS,well planned city with sectors not any more, too commercial now.
