Amazing service (by Mr. Sameer) with great asian food! The best dishes for me were Iced Milo (not that I'm a Milo fan but this was actually amazing), Crispy Lotus Stem, Corn and water chestnut dumplings. Fried ice cream was a let down and can be avoided.
After reading the positive reviews on Zomato, we decided to try this place. Heard a lot about it from friends. The place is located in Anna Nagar in the same line as Witco. For those familiar with Chennai and Anna Nagar.
Ambience: Though the place is not very big, they gave us a nice corner table so that we could keep our baby's pram. Away from the crowd. The place was packed by 9:30 p.m.
For starters, we went for the Wok monk chilli chicken and Chicken Satay. Both the starters were excellent.
Mains:- We decided to order the Kway Teow noodles. The person attending to us recommended the mixed seafood Kway Teow. The portion was small and the taste was ok. I would have given a 5 rating, if this dish turned out as the starters.
They have one of those Rickshaws that you see in Bali and Bangkok, which did attract quite a few kids as well as adults in the restaurant.
Overall, with the GIRF deal, it was a nice Sunday evening.
The experience at Wok monk was a absolute win win , though the food is pricey, the service the taste and quality is top notch. Compared to other restaurants serving pan asian the quantity is less. Our host Mr. Thomas was very warm,smiling and understanding ,special kudos to him.
Brilliant!! Ordered Schezwan Peri Peri Panneer Noodles. The paisa factor is a no worry when the food is absolutely worth it. I'd suggest less mayo and oil though. Way to go. I rarely write positive reviews but this was a great meal.

Had a wonderful Valentine's Day lunch at "WOK MONK" Pan Asian restaurant in Annanagar. ✨✨✨
food was awesome. They have menu from Thai Chinese Indonesian Japanese Malaysian. What I liked the most is, they have not customized it to Indian taste buds. Food is really tasty and authentic. They have good vegetarian choices as well. On this day obviously I was with my wife 😉 and hence I had to go for veggie main course - Phad Thai noodles (it had such an interplay of flavors, sweet and sour noodles tossed with sprouts toffu and peanuts) and a veggie starter - Tofu Satay (well marinated with coconut cream and roasted chilli paste and served with a lovely peanutsauce). But couldn't resist my craving so ordered a chicken starter- Dry Chilli Basil Chicken (the taste filled my mouth. (Its a pan fried chicken tossed with chilli sauce and basil, what added to the taste was the caramelized onions and garlic) which was super good. Finally we got a complimentry dessert from the menu which was ok. Please see the pictures below. The maincourse portion is good for 2. I felt Tofu starter portion was small. But the experience was awesome. I Would definitely recommend this to my friends and will visit again. Special mention about #Benjamin who hosted and served us quite well.

Unexpectedly we found ourselves in wok monk on a Sunday afternoon. The reviews were good and we wanted to try the cuisine. I'm glad we did, as I am very happy to report that food here is delicious.
For starters I had ordered spicy chicken and celery wonton and for the husband a portion of chicken satay. Both were very very good. The satay was just crisp and soft on the outside with the right amount of spices. The clear veg soup was refreshing except for pieces of herbs that keep getting in the mouth.
For mains we ordered nasi goreng, the famous Malaysian rice and flat chicken noodles. Both didnt disappoint. And sonce the helpful maitre d had suggested not needing a gravy with the above, we went for a lamb starter and it was ideal. We ended the meal with a milo and vanilla and a pancake desert.
All in all I was one happy girl and the icing on the cake was getting the entire bill amount at 50% discount. We ended up having a sumptuous, tasty meal for half the price thanks to GIRF.
Well, restaurants are generally associated to food primarily then ambience; hospitality; comfort etc etc.
But here though I want to say, their food was awesome. Ganesh, the brand manager there, his hospitality was mind blowing. Warm. Welcoming. Accommodating. Quick to respond. Understands situation without even we needing to call him up. Great! 👍🏼💐. Keep up the good work Ganesh & team.
The ambience was needfully lit. The Furnitures were comfortable. Cutlery were carefully picked too.
Moving onto food. It was mouth-watering. The aroma. The presentation. The taste. The quantity. Pricing. Everything was fantastic.
I don’t want to sound over lauding them. But this is the fact.
I’m generally a hard critic. So praises coming out of me should be considered 1½ times.

Wok Monk was our pick for the new year lunch as it was the one closest to out place. I could not get the reservation done over the phone still walked in to find out it wasn't that crowded.
Ordered the Bhutaneese Curry Soup which stood out from the other soups in the menu. It was quite disapointing as it turned out to be a little spicy clear soup ( i was expecting something "Currylicious") and the chicken shreds were little hard.
Next was the Prik Tai On Prawn which was a clear winner of the whole lot.. Perfectly cooked prawns and an excellent Chilli Basil sauce with Tender Pepper Corns. Must try dish if you are visiting.
Chilli Beef was good nothing to complain and nothing surprising as well. Good comfort Beef starter for a leisure lunch.
Then came the Prawn Har Goa , super delicious dumplings with prawns , water chestnuts and Bamboo shoots. Excellent combo and wonderfully cooked . Came along with three sauces, yet the pepper sauce and the dumplings were the holy combination to me.
Nasi Goreng was our main course choice and it did not disapoint as well. Perfectly cooked. Right flavours.
Was suggested to go far the wok monk spl fried rice which is pretty much a normal (but neatly done) fried rice. Easy choice if the menu is confusing for you. Could not say what is special about wok monk here...
Overall a good experience. Asian-ic ambience. Compact and comfortable ambiance.
Found the dishes on the expensive side. Normal soup was priced over 250rs and total bill was around 3200 for 3 persons.
also found huge difference in the prices compared to the menu posted in Zomato. Beef was priced about 500 i guess but the menu in zomato shows 379.

Nice place that you can try once in a while. Quite a small place too. Taste wise it's better than most pan Asian places in the city but quantity that they serve is really very small. Or at least that is my opinion.

We visit here quite a bit and love the food. Off late the service has been getting slower. When you are with kids, I would suggest that you remind frequently for the dishes to be served quickly.

Moving on to the killer part, the chilli chicken 🍗was delicious.The sambal prawns 🍤 was great.Starters were damn good.
Not to forget the dumplings a must try.

I have tried authentic Chicken Pad Thai 🍜 before so I would say this is the only restaurant in Chennai which came almost to that taste.
If you want a spicy kick then try Veg or Chicken Goreng Noodles a top-notch dish for me here.
*Desserts - The quantity was too less.I ordered fried ice cream and Milkshake both were good.

Our sudden thai cravings brought us to this interesting place. Overall v had a good experience, the rendang chicken n turmeric rice, and the nasi goreng chicken rice was the best. Although the starters v had ordered, dint satisfy our taste buds at all, especially the beef we ordered was really tough and rubbery. Definitely worth a try 😊
Great lunch at Wok Mok. All dishes are excellent no compromise in dishes. This ia my first visit and felt the dishes with same originality. Phad Thai taste is same as what I had in Bangkok.

Went here as a gang of 5 people. The moment we found this place on zomato, we fixed it.. Pretty easy to locate too. We ordered lotus stem honey chili, cendol champion, kaffir mojito, lemon iced tea, sayuran goreng, wok monk special rice and wok mong vegetables, teriyaki pizza, beef something. I forgot what it was.. 🤣Then for dessert, vanilla panna cotta, grilled banana, chocolate tsunami.
The cendol champion drink was very good and also the fire cracker lotus stem, which we ended up ordering twice..
The wok monk special rice and veggies was a very good combo.. Both together tasted really good.. Teriyaki pizza was good too, but we felt it was small than what we expected and that too for that price.
Idk about that beef dish, but my friend told me it was good..
The highlight was the lotus stem starter.. Definitely try it.. And the cendol champion drink toooo.
All the desserts were unique, and lip-smacking.
Definitely will visit again.
The only issue we faced was they took lot of time for our order. Guess there was a lack of coordination between the stewards... And also they can change the way the menu is. Its a plain black and white xerox copy, not clearly visible and not appealing too.
But overall its fine since the food compensated it all.

Mixed Veg Crystal Dumpling – Translucent dumplings with a mixture of veggies; very soft, spice-less yet had the flavour along with each bite
Xiao Long Bao – Soupy Chicken Dumplings served on individual spoons, but why? Top the dumplings with your favourite sauce and dump it in a single bite to avoid major soup spillage
Yin Yang bites – Was well fried with baby corn and mushroom; had a strong fragrance of garlic and was spicy too
Malay Curry Squid – First time trying out a squid; I personally liked it since there was no strong smell; the squid was well fried and with the bell peppers, it was kind of sour; the curry sauce tasted like an Indian one

Kaffir Mojito – Kicky Mocktail filled with citric Kaffir (lime) leaves with mint; had too much ice though
Ice Milo Shake – Cold Milo served with a scoop of Milo Powder on top; WOW
Cendol Champion – Signature SE Asian delicacy filled with jelly, coconut milk and palm sugar; tasted kicky and sour from the bottom, sweet and chewy in the middle but on the whole, a Nonpareil drink

What does it take for a restaurant/hotel to gain the “Chennai’s Finest” tag? It’s not only the food but also the ambience and service at few places.
The service over here is a class apart. The staff were courteous enough to take care of all their customers with a smile and without any hesitation. Quirky décor and neat setup are a huge bonus for this place.
Speaking about price, this place can very well be listed under PAN-ASIAN delicacies at decent pricing in Chennai.

A beautiful day for a drive and our path lead us to a comparatively new eatery in our part of town.
The Wok Monk in Anna nagar (opp. Sea shell).
The decor is sophisticated and lively and we got our table next to the huge glass windows. So a lovely view!
Their menu is Panasian and there were some items we were yet to try overall. So here was our chance.
This is how our order went. The first starter was 'Larb gai salad' (229/-), a Thai chicken salad with onions, lemon grass, and lime juice. We felt the flavour was a bit too pungent with the lemon and lemon grass overpowering the taste.
For our second starter we had 'Pan fried chicken and mushroom dim sum' (269/-). These were really tasty and the accompanying sauces were great.
We also ordered a 'Rendang Chicken pizza' (479/-). This was a medium sized, thin crust pizza with chicken and cheese. The taste was moderate.
For mains we had 'Guay Tiew Phad kheema talay' (329/-) which was a mixed seafood phad thai in spicy sweet sauce. Surprisingly, the squid was very well cooked and the fish and prawns were actually visible in the dish. A very flavourful dish and satisfying as well.
The next main course was 'Chicken Phad Thai' (269/-) which had a sweet and sour sauce. Personally, I felt the sweetness was a bit much.
The desserts looked inviting and on the recommendation of our server, Benjamin, we ordered 'Chocolate Tsunami'(129/-). These were a real surprise flavour bomb. They are small dim sums stiffed with chocolate and steamed. Our server guided us when to eat them and once we did, they were excellent. You need to put the full momo into your mouth and as you bite into the warm steamed covering, a rush of warm deliciousness fills your mouth😋 a sure treat for chocolate lovers!
Our interest was also piqued by the 'Vanilla and Milo Panna cotta' (129/-) and we were not disappointed.
The supporting drinks we ordered were 'Ice Milo shake' (149/-) and 'Ice Orange' (129/-) which were really good.
As a complimentary token our server gave us another tasty dessert, 'Creamy mango sauce with Sago'. I have never really had sago in dessert so this was interesting. Much appreciated.
Wok Monk is a lovely family restaurant and the service is very attentive and helpful. Our server, Benjamin, patiently explained about the dishes and was very courteous.
A definite place to revisit in the future.
One of my repeat restaurants in Anna nagar! Amazing food, ambience and friendly staff. Best in the house from menu - the soupy momos, the sholin brocolli, pad thai/mei goreng and the complimentary fried ice creams(not sure if it applies everytime).

Variety in the menu. Parking facility is available. The staffs are very friendly. Good music. A good spot to hang out with friends.

Went for lunch couple of days back. They do have an elaborate menu. We tried the
1. Bhutanese chicken soup and Tom yum veg. Both were refreshing.
2. Kimchi baby potatoes and yum mamuang ( green mango salad) were great but chicken Satay gai skewers were just fine
3. Schezwan rice and pizza was good too
4. Cendol champion (coconut milk palm sugar drink), chocolate tsunami ( white/ dark chocolate in dim sum) were excellent
And the service was great too.
This is a great Chinese Restaurant near the Roundtana in Anna Nagar. The guy Ganesh who runs it, is a great guy to meet and you can be sure that the food he serves in his Restaurant is great, different from the regular Chinese, has a great variety and all of his food tastes great. There is his Crackin Lotus stem starter that is a must try. He has this Basil Chicken again a great starter. Been here many times with friends and each time it has been exemplary. His Indonesian drink with jaggery is a must try too. In desserts his Sago Mango is great and Fried Icecream is a must try.

One good place in chennai that serves yummy asian food. The food is served fresh and the milo is myfav here it is damn and i really wanna visit dos place again n again.
Visited this place for the first time..A quaint little place..polite service, good ambience and good food. Had the satay which I enjoyed a lot, the dumplings were nice and juicy. The pad Thai was not authentic... was too sweet for my taste and was missing the bean sprouts... the fried ice cream was nice..on the whole wash nice experience..and the price was very reasonable as well..
Visited this place after several months and I was impressed by the consistency in food and service.
I really loved the fresh and scrumptious tang of the Xiao Long Bao and Prawn Har Gao Dumplings. Excellent burst of flavours in the mouth. Loved the dips that came along.
Mushroom Satay was well cooked, tender and succulent. Loved it.
Also, Cendol Champion is always a favourite when here. A great blend of moong bean jellies, palm sugar and coconut milk. Perfect coolant for the summer.

Its pretty decent place with decent atmosphere at annanagar near roundtana.
The service was good. The menu was different. This is the first time i have seen serving pan Asian pizzas. On my plate was Mushroom and baby corn fry, dimsum, mie goreng, theriyaki pizza and hot chocolate dimsum.
Must say that theriyaki pizza tasted really different. It was loaded with stuffing inside and topped with hell lot of cheese 🧀.
And even mie goreng noodles they made according to my perference, usually it will be so spicy that its very difficult to have but they just prepared according to my requirements !!!
Yummy Asian food! Would definitely recommend if you are looking for spicy goreng and mouth watering thai food! Cendol champion drink with coconut milk and jaggery is so good and a must try!! Amazing food and awesome location 👍👍

After seeing good reviews I have been wanting to visit this place for sometime now. Finally we made an unplanned visit on 7th July.
As soon as we were seated, we were told that we get 50% off on the total bill (dine-in)since the restaurant was celebrating tre 1st anniversary. (Valid this 12th).
All the food ordered were suggestions made by the stwewart Benjamin.
1. Bhutanese Chicken & Veg soup - it tasted very different from the normal soups we usually have. It had curry flavour taste and was loaded with diced chest nuts. A must try, if u like new flavors.
2. Honey Chest Nut - Everyone in my family loved the dish, the chest nut was perfectly glazed with honey. I dint refer it that much because my brain was confused whether I was eating potato.
3. Sambal Prawns - perfectly cooked prawns with spicy sambal. The prawns wre very soft and tossed with perfection. Prawns literally melted in my mouth.
4. Sholin Brocolli- the star of the evening. Brocolli in general is not preferred by everyone. But we enjoyed this deep fried brocolli in a green sauce which gave it a bit of pesto flavour. We ended up ordering two since my niece loved it.
5. Wok Monk Veg Rice - Covered in lotus leaf, the fried rice had deep fried tofu peices and hint flavour of lotus.
6. Tom yum fried rice - it was one of the okay dishes which I dint enjoy much. There was bits of (some element like ginger) which was not nice. Was the only dish which I found to be not too good when compared to other dishes.
7. Pla Rad Prik Fish - Seared and gold brown fish tossed in a spicy red sauce. It complimented the both the rice perfectly.
8. Soup dumpling and spicy chicken celery dumpling- out of the world. Loved the broth inside the soupy dumpling and the freshness and moist chicken in the spicy dumpling.
9. Fried ice - butterscotch fried ice. We dint try anything else because we had plans to visit another place for desserts.
Overall bill was 3300rs and with the discount we paid 1660rs. Totally VFM.
A note to all to Stewart's and servers. They were excellent in taking care of us. Special mention to BENJAMIN, he was very kind enough to suggest the best and also took care of all the requirements perfectly.
Brilliant place for Asian food! Good ambience, pleasant staff, good presentation, short and neat menu.They have Japanese, Chinese, Indonesian and Thai cuisine. I had a lot of things but one that stood out to me was the Indonesian nasi goreng. The flavours are different with great taste.🍜🍜🍜🍜🍜
