I had one of the best Italian fine dining experience in my food exploration so far. The restaurant is one of the best for authentic and flavourful Italian food which brings the traditional Italian cooking to our table. I was surprised by the quality and the taste of the food which is cooked to perfection and the ingredients used are remarkable to the Italian cusinie. The Fettuccine Sicilian pasta is really my favorite. As a dessert lover I really enjoyed the classic tiramisu infused with the coffee flavor. Outstanding service and food experience to tingle the taste buds.

This is my first time at Chianti it is a lovely restaurant loved the ambience from the start and getting started with an engaging experience of bruschetta platter was really good going in with starters and ravioli pasta, thin crust pizzas ,tomato sauce pasta , and finally ending with a dessert of blueberry cheesecake and sandy cake with mango cheese cream (most fav) was an entire Italian experience at a wearing a lovely experience will be going again for sure !
This is my second review of this restuarant.Also,was having dinner here after a long time.Was happy that the food,service continued to be excellent.During this visit,in review,ravioli/pasta etc were very good,but that brownie and ice cream was simply extraordinary.

Wow! I just loved all the dishes I had here. Especially cannelloni, it is my new favourite dish. And they are a great host. The dishes were brought out to be served at a perfect pace once after the other which I never had in any other restaurants before!

Coming to the ambience, very cool space. I saw some Italian touches here and there. I mean the paintings, then the tabletops. A very calm place to have a nice dinner or lunch.
Coming to the menu: I was surprised by the language 😅 first I couldn't able to read then there was English down to the Italian lang. 😅 The menu was huge indeed. Couldn't able to stick with particular ones. 🤪
But we made it lighter by ordering: Spinach Ravioli in mushroom sauce, bbq chicken pizza and virgin mojito.

A good place for all your Italian cravings, tasted minestrone soup, crostini, and pesto pasta. Everything tasted good especially pesto pasta, and also they have served complimentary freshly made bread, and DIY bruschetta which was good too. My only concern is that Chianti could have started out as an independent restaurant instead of in a mall. The whole experience factor is missing, when you know you are in a mall.

First came the complimentary,DIY bruschetta.Loved the DIY touch.
We were then served with our appetiser.The mushrooms were yummy but felt the quantity was less,even for two of us.
The pizza was very good - thin crust with sufficient toppings that went well together.
The tiramisu was brilliant - definitely one of the best i have had so far.
The only deterrent is that it is an expensive place.

Claiming to bring in the authentic Italian flavors, "Chainti" has been growing and doing its best in Chennai. With open pantry on one-side and rustic interiors , the ambiance brings a kick-ass welcome to the diners. Chianti is on the expensive side, though.
Their menu has a wide collection. As we went for a causal lunch, we weren't that hungry and settled for Pasta and Pizza.
Also did I not mention about their welcoming Bruschetta platter as compliment?
Our order included:
• Verdure Pizza : Flavor induced classic pizza topped with black olives, sun-dried tomatoes, bell peppers and zucchini plus mozzarella.
• Fusilli Primavera: Fusilli pasta with Italian herbs and veggies. A regular that everyone would like.
Overall, we were satisfied. The one disappointment was that, they didn't allow the zomato gold option, even when it was available. Their response was : "We had previously and not now".

On a Friday, from our office, we visited this place for lunch. We were about 10 people and ordered 3 pizza, 1 risotto, 1 viola, 1 juice, 1 pasta, and some more items. The loved the cheese sauce in the risotto very much.
The ambiance was good 👍.

3 of us used our Zomato gold here which results in the total price in 4k....not bad. Average Price of items at this restaurant is 400 in the menu, it is a little expensive but ok for often time.
Overall I like this joint, need to visit once more with the lesser member to enjoy the real taste of that duck leg stuffed ravioli.

Heard a lot about this Italian restaurant in phoenix market city from my son . So after watching a movie , decided to have a late night dinner in the mall itself . It was 10 pm only , not very late though only one or two tables were occupied . We liked the ambience and found the place neat and clean , so we placed the order for toasted mushroom and garlic crostini . Crispy hot bread topped with mushroom was very tasty . But when we were about to start eating our dish we found there was no proper cutlery on the table. We had to request for that , but it came as we requested. They didn't keep everything in one go . Then we ordered for spinach and cheese ravioli in butter and sage sauce that was also very nice . But staff didn't know about the portion of the dishes . From dessert section we tried tiramisu which was an average dish. Quality , quantity , cleanliness , ambience every thing was good except the service . If you want good quality food in neat and clean place with good ambience then you have to pay the price for it , so even if it is little costly one should not mind that , but after paying so much if you don't get good service then no point .

We have become regulars at Chianti. Every dish on the menu is outstanding. Love the duck meat, pork ribs, steak, pasta... all delicious and excellent quality.
Ask for a waiter called Manas. He is the best, polite, friendly, and will ensure your meal is excellent. 👍👍

This beautiful italian restaurant located inside The Phoenix marketcity serves some of the best italian food I’ve had so far. Although place may come out to be a tad bit expensive for a few, I feel it’s worth it.
A few of the notable dishes I would recommend would be the the black currant and apple from the beverage section and also the Involtini Formaggio Di Capra.
Bottomline: This restaurant definitely deserves 4.5+ rating :)
We had the veg starter platter (bruschetta, Aglio olio mushrooms, mozzarella cheese sticks, and stir fried veggies) which was quite filling and every dish on the plate tasted divine. Ordered gnocchi and ravioli , Gnocchi tasted bad and we couldn't even eat half of it.. Ended up wasting it.. it had a weird taste to it... Where as ravioli was mind blowing.. For desserts we ordered panacota and tiramisu, out of the world desserts.. The place looked good and the service was fast. They have qr codes in the menu and when you scan it you can see how the food will look.. kind of innovative.. Overall a satisfying experience

My favourite place to eat when I come shopping. I absolutely love their chicken Caesar salad!! The lettuces are fresh and crunchy and the bacon and chicken strips are cooked perfectly and it all blends perfectly. It’s like a perfect love story!

Let's talk about the food first. They serve a 'make your own bruschetta' as a complimentary dish and trust me it was yumm! I felt it was interesting thing to do while one waits for there food to come. Totally loved the concept. Since I'm a vegetarian we ordered a Vegetarian platter and it was amazing. The mozarella fritta was the best. Then we ordered a Fusili Primareva pasta and Rustica pizza, both were just amazing. For dessert we tried there Cioccolato Marma Brownie and it was fab. Tried the tiramisu as well, and even that tasted good. All in all, a great dine-in experience and I would definitely love to go back again.

The best Italian food in the city so far. Tad expensive but backs it with quality. The staff is very friendly and the good cooks continue to remain on roll. I have ran through their menu over the several times I had frequented this place. Only the lamb chops I disliked so far, perhaps more to my acquired distaste. The whole theme is Italian, the decor is nice. They have menu with QR codes so u can see the dish in AR. This is really creative, as it allows the patron to have a proper visual of the food they r ordering. They also give you DIY brushettas while Ur waiting for the order, which personally I feel is really cool and entertaining. The food is very well presented, like actually effort is put into it. Chianti as the name suggests brings us to the heart of Tuscany yet retaining certain subtle tastes for our Indian palate. Nestled in the hustle and bustle of Phoenix Market city Velacherry, this restaurant specializes in Italian cuisine. There is a very warm welcome by knowledgeable staff and we are surprised by a make your own bruschetta as a welcome starter. We ordered a minestrone soup and crostini with a mix of veges. A very tasty hearty soup and there was no dearth of vegetables in either. Along with the starter we got some freshly baked warm bread with butter.Then came the time for the main course and we have been across Chennai to some very good Italian ristorante's and love the pink sauce. Both the dishes we ordered had pink sauce as the base and Chianti's pink sauce tops any sauce we've ever had! Their Chef Manivel bought to us flavors from the heart and what a beautiful sauce it was. The spinach ravioli was plump and well stuffed and their pasta was truly melt in your mouth. Finally for dessert we ordered the vanilla panacotta and out came a perfectly wobbly panacotta that was simply delicious! We were given a complimentary orange and caramel custard wherein the notes of orange balanced against the sweetness of the caramel. This is the era of the not too sweet but balanced desserts and this custard is to die for. Chef Mani has this love for food which translates into his creations and takes us into food heaven! Considering the prices, this restaurant is totally worth it. My 10 year old who is a picky eater could barely move after eating here. She was so skeptical of the ravioli but when she put one morsel in her mouth we had to fight for our share. Wanted to add that there was a salad too which we had ordered and it was so fresh with a beetroot coulis and I think was a pumpkin puree on the side. Very healthy and all the vegetables sung in delight! Thanks for this wonderful food experience and looking forward to more of your outlets in Chennai!!

One of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to in India entirely! I knew I had to give this new place a go as one of my closest people was raving about it. First of all, the ambience - neat, young interiors with good music, along with some very friendly staff! Coming to food, we had Mozzarella Fritta, Fettucine Siciliana Pasta, and Pollo Alla Griglia Pizza. I have to mention the portion they serve - it’s quite a lot. The pasta was vegetarian, but to my surprise I ended up liking it a lot, made me secretly crave for some grilled chicken on it. It was that good! 5 stars already! And the pizza was authentic! The sauce and cheese went really well together. The entire pizza was so well made! The Mozzarella Fritta was great too! I’d easily give this place two thumbs up and I’m already looking forward to going back to this place again! 👍🏼
I have visited Chianti quite a few times and I'm a huge fan of their service. I wouldn't mind repeating this place simply because of the ambience and the service.
This time I tried their barbecue pizza .I'd rate it 3.5 coz I've had better pizzas from them in the past.

Fab food . The mocktail was on special request. Spicy pineapple moctail. I mean this drink har me smilling till the end of the meal.

Inside Phoenix, at the ground level, next to mamagoto, is this place. Decent ambiance. Pleasant service. Decently priced. Good quantity. Everything about this place is a WOW! This place is a lil crowded on weekends n i would recommend reservations on weekends atleast. They can accommodate around 50+ ppl at a time. We were two, here for late lunch and a four-course meal sufficed us costing us around 1400.
We took CROSTINI w/ mushroom and garlic. It had 4 long breads with lightly sauteed mushroom and garlic. Tasted too good with just bread n garlic mushrooms. ZUPPA DI POMODORO is still the best tomato soup i have ever had! Their 8 sliced RUSTICA PIZZA had everything right on proportion. It was CARAMEL DI ARANCIA for the dessert, an orange based recipe. A perfect blend of tangy n sweet ingredients topped with nuts.
I wish i had more of my appetite to have tried more in this place! a Must visit place for Italian Cuisine. Would definitely recommend this place. Kudos to the whole team.

Great Italian food. The pastas and the canneloni were really good. The service is a bit slow, but they bring you a bread basket.. So you can nibble on that till the food comes. The only drawback is that there is no alcohol.. So kind of diminishes the experience of eating Italian food.
I really enjoyed dining here. I just popped in for a quick fettuccine before a late night movie and it's now my new favourite pasta place in town. This is a lovely Italian gourmet restaurant tucked away next to mamagoto in Phoenix market city. The ambience is welcoming and tasteful. Since we visited on a weekday afternoon, the restaurant was quiet. The Chianti staff were courteous and extremely attentive. We ordered fresh lime soda and the cranberry basil cocktail. Both were excellent.
Next we ordered the minestrone soup. This tomato based soup was refreshing, delicious and spicy along with tasty zucchini bits and pasta
We then went to order the pizza Verde (a vegetarian pizza) along with the pollo de Chianti (grilled chicken breast with grilled vegetables and mabshed potatoes in cream of mushroom sauce). The pizza was nice, thin, crunchy and full of vegetables and had a nice sauce to base ratio. The chicken main also was light, creamy and had a wonderful taste while the chicken breasts were grilled perfectly. The accompanying mashed potatoes was creamy and fluffy while the grilled vegetables were sauted along with tomato and spices to give it a nice almost salsa-esque taste.

Italian cuisine nowadays has been pretty common to find, but getting good food becomes tough.
Chianti is a lovely place with the basic Italian menu and they have kept the difficult to pronounce Italian names for the dishes as it is, with dish description given below. Photos in the menu can be a value add. The presentation of food is interesting by using lot of Colors on the plate.
A group of 4 ordered:
Cream of mushroom soup: authentic taste, rare to find in Chennai
Spaghetti in arrabiata sauce: yumm with right amount of tomatoes cooked to give the tangy, charred taste along with garlic pieces.
Main course: Creamy chicken breast piece and grilled chicken with mash potatoes. I personally liked the latter over the former.
The most authentic Italian restaurant in Chennai. Mr.Manas was so kind enough to help us through the menu since it was my first time to the restaurant. He taught us how to make the bruschetta and to choose the best out of the menu according to our taste palate. He even explained how they make their own cheese and pastas. And the desert was the shop stopper here. Especially the tiramisu ❤️ . The ambience and decor was amazing. The service and staffs were good. Price is worth the food here. I hope they consider this point to add wine in their menu like the restaurants in Bangalore. It would have made the food even better .
We were 2 and we took the 3 course meal, which include a starter, a main course and a desert.
As a starter I ordered the veg ministron soup. It was taste and hut. For main course I choose linguini with veg's and tomato sauce - dish was taste but a bit small portion. For desert I took the egg-free panacote. It texture was as expected and taste was good.
Overall food was very good but we left a bit hungry. service was fair and price was moderate.
I recommend this place.
Since this was a new restaurant and with really good initial reviews, we wanted to try it. I am glad we did!
We were 4 in number and we all loved all 4 mains we ordered. We ordered Fettuccine Alla Bolognese, Pollo Del Chianti (grilled chicken breast), Costolleta Di Maiale (roasted pork ribs) and Gratin Di Verdure.
All 4 were really good, the sauces weren't heavy on your stomach. Friend who ordered pork ribs was ecstatic having pork melt in his mouth!
They also serve nice, warm and fresh breads before and during your meals. Icing on the cake is their equally warm service!
We would definitely revisit the place, and visit it with hungrier stomachs!
Food was delicious. Specially the pork. The waters are very humble and ensures the best food is delivered.

There was one **prawn dish**, don't remember the name but you can check the photo. That was the best dish of that night.
Had *pork* in Chennai after long time and that was awesome. So tender and perfectly spiced!
**Dessert** - though we didn't have the appetite , but missing it would have been a sin. 😜😜 and no regrets. Awesome it was.
We had the ravioli with duck meat and chicken roasted in sauce with mashed potatoes and garden vegetables . The ravioli was really good and was a real Italian experience. The mashed potatoes was one of the best we have ever had. They also provided 'make your own' bruschetta on the house. The staff were courteous and the ambience was good. One thing about this place is that they charge 10% service charge additional to gst.
Located in pheonix Marketcity this place serves some good Italian food. We ordered fried mozerella sticks, a pizza and pasta. It was tasty no doubt but a little too expensive. Actually a little more, so it's not recommended for people on a budget. It's a nice place with a ambience far away from that of a mall. Overall its its 7/10.
On the whole, it's a nice place. The ambience is good and the service too. We loved the pesto chicken crostini appetizer. For the main course we ordered chicken with lemon capers sauce.the dish was tasty in itself but lacked the flavors of a true Italian lemon n capers sauce which we are fans of. Also the chicken breasts were on the drier side. So that was a let down, but still with vegetables and the yummy mash, it held together very well. And I loved the beetroot sauce on the plate. Tiramisu was ok. The mascrapone was very light and fluffy. It was too sweet and that for me drowned the coffee flavour. But my husband really enjoyed it. We will definitely go back to this place to try more of their pastas

Excellent ambience, color scheme and lighting. Absolutely loved the interiors and the soft lighting. They play soft instrumental music which is perfect for a dinner date.
There is a complimentary item called the Chianti Bruschetta which you make yourself with some ingredients they bring to your table. It was surprisingly delicious. The bottle on your table contains both black liquid which is Baksamic Vinegar and yellow is obviously Virgin Olive Oil. Do try the Vinegar on your Bruschetta.
Food is phenomenal. I've heard great reviews of Chianti from my Bangalore friends but frankly I'm blown away. We ordered the soup Minestrone Di Verdure which was one of the best soups I've tasted. Followed it by the Rustica pizza which was also very soft and deliciously juicy.
Service was excellent. We went during a busy weekend and I think our table went unnoticed for a few minutes but once we got service it was brilliant. In fact the waiter forgot to take my tip (not sure if that's policy)

Been here multiple times and love the food! The food is a little pricy but it's the best Italian food I've had in a long time. As it's inside Phoenix mall we usually visit this place while going for a movie or shopping.
