Where do you go in adyar if you want veg food and my first choice is always Prems grama bhojanam. 3 of us went to this place for dinner and as always loved the food. We ordered one mini tiffin, neer dosai, cholam dosai and buttermilk. Mini tiffin was huge in quantity with thatu idli, uthapam, kuzhi paniyaram and panagam. Taste wise everything was perfect and the price was very nominal. Will def keep going again and again.

The chutneys tasted really good. Food was very light on the tummy and very tasty.
Where do I even start? In my one year stint in chennai i visited this place four times and every time my body thanked me for such a soulful meal!
I remember the first time I went there, my first reaction after seeing the ambience wasn't very pleasing. But gradually I understood it is "gram bhojnalaya" and true to its name it serves you wonderful food in very clean and simple setting.
I always used to order there thaali which had an assortment of all things good. But my main takeaway from the place is panakkam. I was so blown away from taste of this drink that I learnt the recipe and now it is a staple in my home. My mother usually doesn't like outside food but even she loved the food here!
Before I left Chennai I made sure to visit this place a last time. Sending so much love to the courteous staff of this place. If I ever visit chennai again, will surely do a stopover at murugan for idlis in breakfast and prem's for a hearty lunch!! ❤️

Chennai
Before I leave from this beautiful city to which I’m attached in many ways .
One last mandatory pit stop 🛑
Prems Graama Bhojanam
Yes a wonderful concept which is a brainchild of N.s. Krishnamoorthi who has done a fantastic job by introducing millets in to some exotic dishes served .
Yes the food at prems has a unique touch - one would have a home made feel and enjoy a healthy and nutritious meal 🥘
Each dish served here is unique and tastes divine .
👉🏻Started with Coconut 🥥 nectar
A perfect sweet and refreshing drink made from flower buds of coconuts trees .
This one is mind blowing and has loads of medicinal values in it .
(They call it as Neera or Padhaneer in local language)
👉🏻Then tried the mushroom 🍄 soup made with fresh veggies . No artificial colours or preservatives used !
👉🏻 then comes Kolaurundai - Madurai speciality which is made with soya chunks , coconut , Chinna dal.A perfect appetiser .
👉🏻Apollo paneer a perfect replica of hyderabad speciality apollo fish .
But this one is made with paneer and millet coating ,loved the tangyness and finely chopped garlic used in it.
👉🏻Special thali - this compromises of millet based veg biryani , millet sambar dish , millet based rasam dish and miller based curd dish .
The chutneys are given as accompaniments - allammaagaya, pappuchutney .
It comes with roti , Channa masala and poriyal.
.
To end this meal we have black rice Halwa which is just divine
(Reminds me of Thirunelvelli Halwa 💓)
On the whole it’s a roller coaster ride of native touch with robust flavours I could sense with each dish served .
If you are in chennai do head to
Prems Graama Bhojanam for an offbeat experience.
Summing up my trip on a delicious note
Food -5/5 excellent and taste is divine
Service -5/5 dutiful and warm staff
Ambiance - 5/5 simple decor with Great Wall arts around . Feel at home kinda place
VFM 5/5
True value for money
(Special thanks Naveen Suresh for the Prems breakfast meet and introducing me to uncle back in bangalore )
Every time I’m in chennai I’m coming back to Prems 😁
Chennai
Prems grams bojanam serves some healthy breakfast with only சிறுதானிய or millet
Prems grama Bhojanam which is located in adyar they are now recently started to provide healthy breakfast
Millet - Types Of Millets,
Kambu, Thinai, Saamai, Varagu, Kuthiraivali, Ragi
Nowadays people are becoming more and more health conscious. We all started looking for some better alternatives for rice and wheat to reduce its daily consumption. For those people, millets are really wonder grains or miracle grains I should say. Millets are the power house of fiber, calcium, minerals & Iron
The intresting part is their vada which is not a regular one .They mix up (spinach + flax seeds) that is (கீரை +ஆளி விதைகள்) along with it
They have some reasonable price ranging Combos like
Millet idly + sweet potato masala dosa + vada ( keera+ flax seed)+Millet pongal + millet jaggery sweet for just 75 INR
Price differs on the combo what we choose but maximum price of combo is 75 INR
Ambience was peaceful and good
Self Service
Taste wise they were really good and the main thing about this place, it is healthy and organic
Dont forget to tatse their lunch varities too where they serve kuthuravali rasam ,thenai sambar etc

Rating 4/5
We went with family and relatives on 9th August.
It was a small and neat place. Some of the family members were skeptical about the kind of food that we could get here, but we settled down in few tables and went through the menu. The manager explained that all the food here were made of millets.
We ordered mini tiffan, Need Dosa, Thinai rava Dosa, Thatte Idli, millet halwa, khulfi, Pathaneer etc,
All items were tasty and the feeling at the end if the meal was one of healthy satisfaction.
All staff patiently explain the dishes ( mostly forgotten rural recipes) and encourage you to try them.
Will visit again!
One of the best no nonsense places for south indian tiffin in Chennai - the food is millet focused, but you will really not be able to tell. There is no compromise at all on taste. Food is very reasonably priced, and all items are excellent. The thatte idly with peanut chutney and the palm jaggery kulfi are especially good. Since they have recently moved to a larger place two streets away, the seating is more spacious and relaxed. Its the kind of place your tongue and your wallet both want to keep visiting
OLD WINE IN A NEW BOTTLE
We all know how PGB sculpted success through their introduction of traditional millet-based lovely esculents. Their first pleasure point where we used to quench our culinary needs was in a place adjacent to GRT Jewellers, Adayar. Now they have moved over to a better place at 23/10, 3rd Main Road, Kasturibai Nagar, Adayar, Next to Shiv Nadar University Office and opposite to Indus Ind Bank.
Advantages in the new place:
Ground floor.
Air-conditioned.
Parking facility.
More covers (I think).
Things that remain unchanged:
Smiles from the entire family of NS Krishnamoorthi who runs the show.
His cogency in maintaining a pleasant rapport with his patrons
Variety and quality of the dishes.
My comments about the food at PGB will be inconsequential as they have already earned in abundance laurels and analytical appreciations from almost everyone who took a seat at their tables. Yet falling within the line of control of this forum, I post some of the delicacies I had in their new place.
For two of us we shared the following:
1. Pathaneer. I have to say that this delectable palm nectar is a new entrant in their menu. Wonderful!
2. Thatta Idli. The mind-boggling soft idli that contains no rice!
3. Davengare Benna Dosa. This dosa is felicitous.
4. Apollo Paneer. This is a personal creation of NSK which is a ‘must to try’.
5. Kola Urundai. I till date can’t make out how a vegetarian dish can taste so much like non-vegetarian stuff.
6. Cholam Ghee Roast. A millet marvel.
We paid a total of 516/- including tax and exited with full satisfaction from that warm and friendly place. I’m sure the new joint is going to burst at the seams with eager customers. I inferred this on witnessing the chockablock of guests on the day of my visit.
I had been here several times. Pure vegetarian. Food is really good, means tastes better, healthy and costs also normal. I had one time Lunch sambar and rasam with Miller was awesome. And another time had dinner which pesarattu dosai I liked. I would say this one is a must go place if you are an vegetarian.
Food of good quality and healthy. So I give a full rating. If you are diet conscious and taste conscious for this budget friendly option. From millet utthappams to ragi dosa with sweet potato masala, it is 'taste main best' !
If you are looking for healthy alternative in Chennai, this is one of the best places.
Have ordered Peseretu which served with Peanut chutney.
The food was great esp. the peanut chutney.
Highly recommended.
We were here for lunch with family.
> Decent atmosphere.
>Limited menu, so we will not run out of time choosing receipies.
>Healthy choice, we get ragi and soya varieties, rice only from millet. No added sugar or chemicals even in desserts.
>we had regular meals made of millet - sambar rice was excellent taste, puliogre, rasam different taste, curd rice, ragi chapathi though bigger was very light, dhal and veggie.
> kali kalavai with 6 ragi balls & curry was so yummy.
> kola urundai - protein soya ball, my patti could not resist holding fr a photo, it was light n good
> Dojo kulfi is out of world taste.
> Ppl can try panagam here which is fame in narasimha temple.
Esp water is tulsi water so good taste.
Pls try healthy food with your family here.
Very tasty and healthy food prepared in a homely method. Worth the money you pay. They use different kinds of rices and pulses to make idli and dosa.
Ambience: 2.5/5 (this is a mess kind of setup, so rating is not for ambience but cleanliness)
Food: 4/5
Service: 4.5/5
Value for money: 4.5/5
Overall 4/5
This place is on the top lists of any blogger, and review sites. So decided to visit for some authentic Southern taste. From the waiting time, the place appeared to be quite popular among the locals.
This is not kind of a restaurant or cafe but its more of a mess kind of setup. It is set up in some kind of residential property. So you can't expect any good ambience but I felt there's a huge scope to keep the place clean.
Coming to food, we ordered Benne Dosa, Ghee roast dosa and kulhad kulfi. They taste really good. The sambhar and chutney were amazing. If you love spicy and tangy Tamil Nadu style sambhar like me, over sweet Karnataka style, you'd like this place. Kulfi was okay and frankly I didn't have huge expectations as well..
Service was very good. All employees were very polite and prompt.
Overall a decent place for South Indian food but I felt slightly overhyped in different platforms including Zomato.
Wanted to try out some healthy food and googled this dine-out. Location is easy to find using google. Order took some time, worth the wait. Food was different from our regular dishes and was really good. Everyone should visit this place to have a taste of our traditional.
A must-go place for Authentic South Indian healthy food. Excellent service and a perfect place for graama bhojanam! Nominal rates with good taste.
Tried the below,
Benne Dosa, Red Rice Dosa, Neer Dosa, Thinai Rawa Dosa, Pesarattu , Paniyaaram , Natural Pot Kulfi, Millet Dosa, Thatte Idli, Herbal Water.
- Organic food @ it's very best ❤️
Must try :)
Location is quite difficult to find - Next to Kalyan jewellers, Adyar.
As part of our Friday food hopping, me and my friend decided to get on to try some healthy chains in the city. Prem's Graama bhojan did take you on a healthy road of food. We had millet bhajji, pesarttu, thattu idli, roti combo, uthappam combo, buttermilk, paanagam and Sukku coffee.
The best of what we ate would be podi thattu idli. It was well cooked, the podi was proportionally spread and the getti chutney combo just made it super delicious. The next was bhajji. Never eaten such a soft bhajji. Wondering how it could be so soft, I found that it was cucumber on the inside and it's flesh have the soft texture and the outer have the bhajji flavour feel of it.
Buttermil and paanagam was okay. I have had better. Sukku coffee was too good and leaves a good throat.
Reducing a star for the service style and the price.
In love with the simplicity and taste if this place :) love their dinner menu ! Neer dosa was the best :-)was a tad little disappointed with akki roti but overall had a very hearty meal :) paid 375 very happily for three
When you enter this place, the ambience suggests humbleness. It has a very soothing effect on you unlike the busy street that it's located by. The food is authentic and traditional and has a very healthy touch. One of the few place where you needn't feel guilty for having food outside of your home.
Best millet lunch in town.. u will get variety rice , sambar sadam, rasam sadam, curd rice, each made of different millet. rasam rice is out of the world.. the Kali urundai they provide s delicious.. visited several times for lunch, they do maintain the consistency always . The water will have jeera in it.. we can also get cold drink - panagam n butter milk. I like their panagam. Tasted their kulfi too, which is good.
But dinner is not up to level with lunch.. it's decent one..
This is surely the best place in town for authentic South Indian food. A must visit for anyone who is visiting Chennai.
Great place! Awesome taste! Awesome service!
Well deserved - 10/10
This place never disappoints. Traditional food with an authentic taste. I am a fan of even their water. They add spices to their drinking water which is utterly butterly delicious. Their different sweet dishes are a hit with my family as well. Try it at least once. Total VFM.
Simple and great.. had meals and everything item was clean and tasty. The rasam sadham . Will definitely go back. Reasonably priced. Would like to have more veggies
One of the best traditional south indian restraunts. Being from Mumbai, we barely knew even the names of the dishes served here but the waiter explained every dish so nicely and the Service was top notch
Went here after seeing the ratings and reviews in Zomato. It lived up to the expectations. My family loved the food and service. Every dish was unique, healthy and tasty. Best part is that kids loved the food here. A must visit place for healthy and tasty food.
It is one of the best places in Chennai to eat if you are looking for vegetarian and healthy meal. The place is small but the food here is amazing. The staffs are very friendly and they treat you with utmost care. Price is reasonable too. Even when you order online, it comes with a nice packaging. You just don't have any cons to say neither about the place nor the food. MUST TRY!
Little did I expect before going here, as most of friends did not tell what it is specifically, they just said it is good place to have food. But it is really a special place and should be given more recognition than it is given right now. Only restaurant which has all the items made with millets. Menu has just the required number of dishes instead of having more fancy names. I must say that WATER is so tasty here. it has a touch of basil and tasted so naturally satisfactory. I tried regular meals and ragi roti here. Rasam sadham was ultimate and sambar sadham too (all are made with millets). Sweet also made not with sugar but with quinoa rava and palm jaggery and it is soo tasty. I also tried the coconut sweet they have at the counter for sale, that was so tasty too. Whenever I eat the regular meals here, I feel so satisfactory from within. Do try this place if you are in chennai. Happy Eating !!!
tried regular and value meals.. their sambar was nice on the day we went.. quantity was bit less i felt.. natural kulfi was ok..overall i liked it... planning to try dinner ..
Prem's Grama bojanam has been in "To my go list" for so long now.I have once before visited them an year back and it was a lunch menu.wanted to try their dinner menu . Got a chance today
Went with mini tiffen. The mini tiff to my surprise was huge.you get half a thatte idly which is even huge with a benne dosa and 3 big kuzhi paniyarams with a choice of their beverages (Buttermilk,Panakam, and sukku coffee.) Went with buttermilk which was so good and probably most underrated I guess There are rave reviews on sukku coffee but if you get a chance try the butter milk too.
.In the mini tiffen I liked the kuzhi paniyarams the best.In chutneys peanut chutney was awesome.
Finished with Kulfi .It was made with palm sugar, figs and dates and mind blowing.
One tip would be to order Kulfi some 10 minutes or so before u finish ur main course as it takes some time to melt
One more thing I loved about Prem's is right from food plates to water mug to matka kulfi .Everything is plastic free. One request to management would be if they make their carryout too like the bag and the box too plastic free it would be awesome.
Best things come free .The water they serve are divine and also don't miss out on the fennel seeds with pepper.
Overall a must try experience.
Very good place to have tasty soft dosa's,dosas are made of different millets which is healthy.A good place to have food at normal price in chennai. They server drinking water mixed with tulasi and some herbs which tastes very good and healthy
Unique menu choices I have tried. Appreciate the research done by management to design menus. The food and service is excellent. To find location is bit problem. If taking car please do park in nearby streets and come by walk.
A friendly unique healthy and tasty vegetarian place. It is a must try for Adventerous vegetarians with a taste for South Indian flavors. Recommend only the limited thali. It is relatively affordable for the thali option. service was good. The time we went was very quiet - weekday lunch hour and a rather rainy day as well. Restaurant could have a better sparkling upkeep given that it is super small but seemed clean nevertheless. Will certainly go back on future visits.
One must try place. Had gone there for lunch and had a regular meal. Each and every item was just too good. Pocket friendly place serving healthy food. Keep the good work guys!!!
Was here last week. Impressive place overall !!! We ordered a bunch of stuff to my surprise everything tasted really good!!
The place is made to look authentic like a village/ small town and the vibe is quite good. The coffee in particular was different from what I am use too and, had quite an intriguing taste!!! Everything here is made without rice and this was extremely surprising to me as some of the South Indian dishes such as idly n dosa are almost entirely made of rice !! The food is extremely palatable and is a must visit !!!
This place is very small but no doubt about the food. Still i love to go for the nature food. The Ragi Rotti & Tattai idly was awesome to have with Peanut Chantey. My only issue with this place was take away order or through Uber Eats. They pack the hot Sambar & Chantey in polythene cover which is really bad. Hope the management will see this message and change the packing with foil packs.
Perfect place to have vegetarian meal in Adyar. Karakozhumbu,Benne Dosa and Kulfi are the best to have. Place is small to park a four wheeler. Staff are good and if you are health conscious or on diet, this is your must visit.
Excellent food . But 4 wheeler parking is the only issue . People are very polite and good service . Drinking water is very good . Overall it’s value for money
Situated in a small place. Initially there was no one to guide but then the service was good. Right from the water they served to the food everything was amazing. Karakozhambu was just too good. Such good tasty healthy food at pocket friendly cost. Was very much satisfied with them.
Food was so yummy... Quality and Quantity also good...
Ordered from here a month ago.
The food was neatly packed and went to a state of surprise how vegan foods can be this tasty.
Are you a strict vegan or a suffering from puratasi masam restrictions.
This place can treat your taste buds!
A perfect place for those who wants to enjoy home cooked food at an outside eatery. This place helps one to relish food that's made of healthy grains. Order anything on the menu - they are all made of healthy grains. Price is very reasonable. Must try - Idli, Rice varities and Kulfi. One would definitely feel comfortable eating the food here. From their drinking water which is made with cloves, pepper, etc to their main course until desserts, there is no added artificial ingredients or in short any unhealthy items.
In short it is *A heaven for HEALTH CONSCIOUS people*🤩
I was riding through Adyar and wanted to try this restaurant for dinner. Heard good reviews from my friends. Came to the restaurant at 730 pm. Ordered Sweet Potato fritters, Benne Masala Dosai and Kulfi. The fritters was really good, a bit salty to my taste. Benne dosa , I never expected the dosa to be so thick. But the Ground but chutney and sambar was extraordinary. Next time will try the ghee roast. Thick dosa are not my forte. Kulfi was good. A bit over priced for my liking. Cost some 72 rs. Overall was a nice experience.
I regularly visit prems.. never disappointed me..
Their lunch is also perfect menu which ll right fit for normal eater.
Millets yet tasty..... Love their combo which comes with half thattu idly, panniyaram and dosa... Don't miss to ask for Peanut chutney...
Sukku coffee is the right one to finish ur meal..
Ohhh finally... Their flavoured water need 5/5 .
Though located at a uninspiring building complex, the quality of food is awesome. It should be visited for the authentic south Indian food and food only. The aesthetics, lack of air-condition are a let down. Also it's nearly a self-serve restaurant, except that the food is dropped on your table. Even a friendly request to serve since your hands are soiled, will be politely turndown.
I have dined at their Bangalore restaurant last year and was amazed that so much could be made from Millet, and it could all taste so delicious.
I had the set meal today at the Adyar branch of Prem's, that consisted of a Thaali and every dish made
in millet Millet sambhar, Millet rasam, Millet coconut rice, Millet roti, et all.
Love their , Panakkam and don't forget to try their Millet Kulfi for dessert!
nice but no salt in dosai and panagam too tangy

Perfect sukku kapi
Polite staff prompt service

Awesome Food And Great Taste Living Upto The Name Of PREM GRAAMA BHOJANAM. Authentic and Great Value For Money. One Thing Would Be Of Great Help If Something Is Done For Car Parking
Being in Chennai for 4 years I was looking for millet based hotels in Chennai. And this hotel happened to serve some Karnataka dishes too.The hotel is bit inside a narrow lane but is well maintained.
I am a native from Karnataka and my review is comparative to its hotels n taste. Took Kali Kavalai ( Raagi mudde/Ragi ball) and the sambhar provided with it was so tastier. Ragi balls were of the size of Jamun and were a bit hard. Jowar and Bajra Roti were good but they need to be very thin and cooked properly. For non kannadigas it is a real hit but for me it was an another nice hotel.
Prems grama bojan, i visited here after the zomato review. It took a little bit effort for me find this place. I had millet meal and panany. As non vegetarian cannot fullfill my tummy only with veg. Even though is a new experience having different millet at a time. I even have no idea what are the millets they served me,😎.
We just returned from dinner at this place. I've given it five stars for great quality food and very good service. I went with my parents and we had neer dosai, thatte idli, red rice dosai and kambu adai. We enjoyed all these dishes, and the chutneys served with them were all tasty. We had paanagam and sukku kaapi to finish the meal. They were a perfect end to the meal. It was a great place to take my parents to, who generally prefer south indian food and don't handle masaledar food well. They have thulasi water, which made for a refreshing drink with the meal.
Of note, the service was very good. The person serving was intuitive. When he realised we were sharing all our dishes, he brought all the following dishes already dividend in three (dosa cut into three for ex). This intuitive service is rare these days.
We have already planned our return to this place. That should tell you how much we enjoyed it.
After sleeping in my.wishlist for over 3 years I finally got to eat here a couple of days back. It is also noteworthy that this is one of those places that survived the three years of drastic market fluctuations and gimmickry that the competition does yet this place had kept it simple and clean throughout.
The place is located behind GRT on the first floor. One would easily miss the place amidst the traffic and other bright hoardings. Two wheeler could be managed to park on the inside, cars is a bit difficult.
Note if you're going here for dinner, the menu is close to empty by almost 9 at night. So if you wanna try out the chutneys all in all out be there by 730 and hey it's good habit to eat an early dinner.
We tried upon a couple of dosas, rotis and idly. The neer dosa was a disappointment as I was expecting a rice ridden soft variant as against the paper thin one that was served. I understand the texture difference is due to the absense of rice yet the term neer dosa was deceiving. Benne dosa was soft yet had sparse ghee, no complaints in the quality otherwise. There is no hint that this was made with anything other than rice. With the veragu rava dosa and onion dosa hold their special places in the menu. With a no rice or maida in the menu I admire how these dishes taste equally awesome, because I've eaten all of these made at home and they all turned terrible.
Service was a bit sloppy on nearing 9:30pm with the chutneys running out and a bit of slow refills. Also the crowd kind of lowers by late 9ish.
The best thing about the place is their tusi and camphor water, that remind you of your last Perumal koil visit.
Cost for four people was about ₹ 600. Not cheap but definite VFM. Given the cost and availability if organic raw ingredients, this price is more than justified.
Food - 4/5

I am Ganesan, living in Thiruvanmiyur & my cell no is 9884867133. Yesterday, I have ordered 3 ragi rotti thro' Zomato. Great/excellent quality of Ragi Rotti, Kara Kuzhambu, Peanut Chutney & kara Chutney. Whenever I am ordering thro' Zomato, Pl add 1 more Kara Kuzhambu. The taste is delicious

Food was very good but portion was less. Also the combo mentioned about any 2 choice of rice, but we were able to make only one choice in the app.
excellent taste ....d after tatste of the food is still lingering in my mouth ... restaurant can consider pricing..... thought it's a little over priced ...
I had been here with friends a couple of years ago , and went back last week with family. We had Red rice dosa ( very soft and tasty), Thatte idly ( soft and tasty) thinai rawa dosa ( very good), enjoyed the peanut chutney. Asoka halwa was excellent! The highlight was the vettiver infused water - so refreshing ! Service was very prompt and while the venue is simple and no frills - food is excellent! Only suggestions are - being on first floor may not be accessible to some seniors while they may enjoy the food, and to have some side dishes without onion/ garlic! Looking forward to going back!
Must try place. Absolutely unique concept, very healthy and tasty food. As good substitute for home food. If you are looking for healthy substitute to home food, then a must try place. Can have daily but unfortunately it doesn't deliver at my office location.
It was my first day at Chennai and I wanted mouthwatering south Indian food and this name was flashing on zomato page so I decided to hit this place as it has handsome rating plus it was healthy too.
You won't be very happy with the ambience because it is designed in a flat and hence the look is not so appealing, however it hop into service, food and treatment, it is seamlessly convincing.
They only suggested me to go for mini meal which offer different kinds of millet in the form of rice. Very delicious and stomach filling. Post that, they recommended me to try out kulfi which was made of milk, jaggery and dry fruits which was super healthy and the owner Aishwarya selflessly answered all my questions and to my rescue, she was a saviour in Chennai. I also bought peanut Jaggery laddu and beetroot Jaggery Mysore Pak (very yummy)
Thanks a lot for such a heartening welcome. A must visit places for health conscious people.

We ( Me and wifey) have been a repeat customer for Prems Graama Bhojanam for a long time.
One small but well setup outlet where you can have a lot of surprises waiting.
Each and every dish is made up of millet in traditional way. It is a clear winner if you are looking for something healthy.
The regulars always:
Thatte Idly - Softest and huge ones literally dissolves once you put in mouth
Neer Dosa - Thin, light on stomach and tasty too. Simply superb treat
Benne Dosa - Soft o the inners , crispy on the outer , with generous amout of butter
Pacha Payir Uthappam - Healthy green uthappam
Spicy and tangy Rasam Sadham - We order it usually if anyone of us is sick. Hot and delicious for the throat
Sukku Kaapi - Nice finisher for aiding the stomach.
The best of the lot are the sides which accompany the mains
Peanut Chutney,
A regular sambar,
Kaara Kozhambu,(On demand) - My favorite
Tomato onion Chutney - Our Favorite
Last but not the least - The water they serve here tastes like Perumal kovil theertham or we cans ay it is herbed water. You will never want to stop drinking.
I would give
Food - 5/5
Ambience - 4/5 ( Tough to get seats)
Service - Fast and Amazing
We will keep going to Prems. and We don't have count of how many times we have been there .
Ok Got it now. Misunderstood the millet with rice. Taste of Ragi balls were Good. Completely a new experience. Now I am changing my review and Ratings.
At first, I would like to highlight the tulsi water they offer. It's just very unique and refreshing... One of the restraunts that offers healthy food in the area. The rahi, jowar mini uttapams were grt... Pessarattu and paniyaram were also good... It's a nice small place... Only if the ventilation in the small house turned restraunt would be better, the experience could have been delightful..
Kara kuzhambu taste is super
Super fast delivery! Once again the same delivery guy as last night, the only one who carries and gives back correct change. Well done.
After a week of vacation and too tired to cook lunch. We went to Prems Graama bhojanam for a quick lunch on a weekday.
Surprisingly the restaurant was crowded and busy serving lunch.
Pros
Healthy similar to home cooked meals.
Less oil and more millet options.
Tried and liked👍
Plantain stem soup ( good and refreshing)
Keerai vadai
Apollo paneer
Organic traditional meals
Millet meals( outstanding)
Chapathi and soya chunks gravy ( good)
Veg Kola urundai( not cooked and too spicy)
Cons
Hygiene and atmosphere inside the restaurant area and wash area needs lots of improvement.
Starters served in small steel bowls( not impressive and clean)

I had the opportunity of visiting this place for lunch yesterday. The Ambience is nice and welcoming and Service here is always fast and we were attended to immediately. At Prem’s Graama Bhojanam it’s not just the Food which is healthy even their water is healthy with herbs infused. The food took a bit of time which is acceptable considering that they make everything fresh. Overall this is a Must Visit place if you enjoy your food.
My hyper sensitive stomach forces me to be very careful with what I eat. If my stomach feels normal or good after eating out somewhere, it is a sure sign that the food is great!
So, one afternoon, my wife and I tried this restaurant. The menu is a hodge podge of colors and things tough to pronounce. The good waiter offered a terse, one-line explanations for our questions. Not wanting to push our luck, we went with what we knew: white (thooya malli) rice meals with 3 spinach (keera) vadais on the side.
And the food was DELICIOUS. Everything was great. Thankfully, I'd chosen the 'unlimited' option and got extras of the cabbage poriyal, keera kootu, appalam, and even ada payasam. The keera vadai was fresh, hot, perfectly fried, and crumbled in that perfect way, releasing steam, when pinched apart. It tasted as good as it looked and felt.
Though some tables were vacant when took ours, the incoming lunch crowd quickly snapped up all the tables and seats. The waiters were busy and their attention was tough to capture. Nevertheless, our waiter was a nice fellow who did his best.
The price they charge is commensurate with the ingredients they use - organic millets and traditional rice. Worth it if you'd like to try the various rices.
My stomach felt happy, full, and comfortable. I would definitely eat here when I am in Chennai again.

Economical and delicious lunch. A must visit.
We went here to have dinner.we have ordered the veg kola urundai , samai Kuli paniyaram , podi uthappam
They have a variety of millet dinner items. It's one of the best millet restaurants around Adyar.
It's very helpful for elderly people and diet conscious people 😁
Hotel atmosphere is look an home, you can't expect luxury environment and AC 😉
Best Food at a very affordable price.
This place served dishes so fast that we couldn't keep up with eating them. Starting from water everything tasted good here. I can't tell that they were made with millets and their chutneys are super good too. My family liked the food and you have to be careful when ordering dosa because all of them are not crispy. If you want crispy dosa, ask for that. Their sweet potato masala was a great combo for the dosa.
The place looks like it needs some sprucing up. For serving traditional millets based foods, the restaurant theme is a mishmash of a roadside eatery with Formica tables and clean but not very inviting.
Simply superb - If you want to give a try for millets based vegetarian food please come here without hesitation. Trust me you will 💯 satisfied. I feel very light and satisfied after having these mini meals worth a penny. Initially I thought the quantity was very low but I feel it's enough to satisfy my tummy once I started feeling.
A Google search promoted me to land in this place..
Tucked in a quiet place, the restaurant has just 8 to 10 tables..
They serve healthy millet based food and the taste was quite good.. The variety is kind of limited but very tasty..
The service was fantastic.. My mom wanted no garlic no onion food and they specially prepared this as well..
Car park is easy as the road is empty..
Overall a good experience..
The owner of the restaurant is very nice and gentleman and the staff is really very helpful n servers with a smile on face… The most importantly food is really awesome 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 must must come and try everything here 🥰🥰🫶🏻
Love with the place, food and hospitality 🫶🏻
Visited Prems Graama Bhojanam in Adyar for the first time, based on a friend's recommendation. It was well worth the trip. They have nailed the golden trifecta of eating out -- taste, price, and health!
Added bonuses are the mindful service and generous portions.
We loved the Red Rice Utthappam, and Benne Dosa. The millet "thattu idli" was astonishingly soft. Sides were awesome too, especially the peanut chutney. The panagam and lightly flavored drinking water were a pleasant surprise.
The ambience is homely, with comfortable functional seating and simple decor. We will certainly be visiting again.
NOTE: We were so eager to get at the yummy food that we entirely missed taking photos, except for this pic of a wall decoration!
