It's really a heaven for north indian and Punjabi food lovers. Great atmosphere inside and the staff is also very helpful and cooperative. No waiting for food once ordered. Just that weekends can get a bit busy. So would suggest to go early. Bon appetite :)
This place never ceases to amaze me each time i go. I have been a patron here for god knows how long. And each time i have never come out without nothing less than a big smile on my face. I can easily say with my eyes closed that this place serves the softest, juciest paneer in chennai. Period. Their unlimited table buffet is another feather in their cap. U get a large variety of starters, gravies to satiate your appetite. If there is a restaurant in chennai that tickles your tastebuds and excites your brain, that restaurant in one single word has to be PIND. Kudos to Divya Parwani and her team, you are always guaranteed to come out of PIND with your biggest grin.
Small tip : Try their Classic Mojito at thoraipakkam after your sumptuous meal. It is the next biggest thing after their paneer.
Yaaa loved it awesome food and honey chilli gobi and masala paapad, kadai paneer and alot of items had a good weekend and I have enjoyed alot...
Awesome environment and hosting . It was like home food paneer was soft and curd was delicious.
Amazing food and lovely hospitality. tomato soup , paneer pakodas, baby corn pakodas etc etc. were superb to relish.
We had good fun during our transit halt at Chennai from TVM to Vizag. Our family enjoyed authentic Punjabi khana n ambience!
Relaxing atomosphere, kind staffs.Best paneer tikka, though quantity is less for the price we pay its worth a try!!
Literally the best North India Food in Chennai. Love the vibe of the place. The waiters are the sweetest. There has never been a time where i have come out of the restaurant disappointed. Its an absolute bliss every time. I am missing their food so came back to write a review during lockdown :)
Definitely a good place to have a decent food
Waiting time though
Good service from Mr. Lalith and team was really good
If you are looking for a place which serves north indian food, look no further. This is authentic, and a perfect change one must have to break the idli-wada-dosa-rice monologue. And please ask for 'LC' she will make sure you are well taken care.
Ambience is really cool, colorful and like a Hi-Fi Punjabi dhaba. Parking space available. Even the staff are dressed in desi attire. Everything that we tasted was really yummy. Service gets late in case crowd increases. Staff is friendly.
Can improve on cleanliness as we observed one of our Roti ki tokri had leftovers from previous Roti servings. Lassi should also be included in the Thali menu as it feels incomplete without finishing the meal with a lassi.
All veg foodies try this restaurant.taste is superb.
I am from Punjab and i have come here in Chennai for an official purpose. I can bet, no restaurant in Punjab can beat the taste i have enjoyed today at this place. While going back to Chandigarh, in a few days, I am getting some food packed from here coz i really want my wife and my son to taste it.
My special thanks to the girls who gave us a very special service which is unforgettable for me.
Next time I will visit Chennai just to have food here😉😉
Fantastic north Indian restaurant with great ambience. Panner fingers and bhindi fry was one the best i have ever tasted. Service was pretty good and they attended to us very fast. Overall a very satisfying experience.
If i have to suggest an improvement then it would be the detail about parking. Since it was my 1st time i had to search little bit as no one was available outside the restaurant. But after i went inside and asked everything was taken care quickly.
Will visit soon.
We want there for a office team out. Food was excellent... We tried palak paneer, tandoori paneer, chilli babycorn, babycorn manchurian, mix veg gravy.. Veg pulav was okish. Falooda were gud but quantity is less compared to pricing
This is a really good restaurant for north Indian dishes
It cost like 1k for three of us to leave happy.
It's a small place inside velachery, vijaynagar.
It's always packed with crowd, 😊
The cottage cheese here is a mention.
Only con is the music is very loud and food is a bit costly. 🙄
Such an amazing restaurant with an ambience made me feel I'm in punjab being in Chennai..... Such an authentic North Indian food u never had in Chennai. Worth visiting to have some punjabi tadka in Chennai.
Food was great awesome ambience
We enjoyed the time in restaurant
We'll come again again see u soon thanks to all
Staff's are so friendly...
Right from the moment you enter, you are greeted by courteous staff and great music. Interesting interiors. Have ample space. Great menu. The Thali and Buffet are worth the price and gets you feel super heavy.
Wonderful place for foodies to have a great time. I'm sure u will have no space left in ur tummy after starting to eating..
Do visit this place with family and friends....

Pure Punjabi Desi - The restaurant excels in desi Punjabi cuisine, showcasing more than seven different flavours of their quintessential paneer tikkas. The staff here is cordial and usually dressed in traditional Punjabi attire.
The place has some very interesting Punjabi wall paintings and hangings, loved the colourful kites on the wall, Punjabi Dhaba themed seatings and unique lighting arrangements.
Let me discuss on the dishes that I have tasted.
1. Cheese Corn Balls, corns are well steamed then mixed with some spices and presented as crispy balls, when cut through the balls we could actually see cheese ooze out of it.
2. Tiranga Paneer Tikka, three flavours of tikkas completing the tiranga- Achari, Malai and Hariyali. Loved all the 3 Tikkas and they have justified the dish. The Paneer was so soft and perfect.
3. Malai Methi Aloo, the dish is a pure Punjabi desi, the flavours of the dish are really good. Loved the bright orange colour of the dish.
4. Mini Tandoori Basket (Butter Garlic Naan, Methi Parantha & Tandoori Aloo Parantha), the breads were so soft and prepared with so much of precision and the were large enough to satisfy a person. The basket is a perfect choice for a group of 4 as we get a total of 12 prices and it’s very economical as well.
The cooking process was good and the way the dishes were treated is very appreciable. All the dishes looked and tasted delicious.
Over all I am so happy that I get to taste and enjoy the above dishes, I would recommend all to try it out.
Wanna try Authentic Punjabi flavours like Sarso Ka saag, makke Di roti, Kadhi pakoda, lassi, rabdi ?? Well this is your destination then.. Amazing flavours.. brings North Indian flavours to Chennai..
This place needs no introduction, Chennai's most evergreen place or should I say old is gold and will stay like this forever.
One of the places which open by 11 AM to serve you the best North Indian Foods in Chennai. Much much better than any 5-star property can serve in Chennai.
The weekend brunch is the most happening brunch option in town every weekend. You could get more than half an hour waiting if you are not reaching early for it. This is the best during Lunch and with friends and family you can enjoy the Punjabi village together, not to forget you could also pair it with a glass of "Punjabi beer".
The menu is awesome yes you could pick up any item fresh juice, Paneer Tikka, Gol-Goppe, Achari Panner Tikka, Dahi kabab, Dal makhani, PINDI Naan, Gulab Jamun, fresh Rabri or Veg Platters You can try anything and you will like it if you like authentic North Indian Veg food.
During peak time there will be waiting for more than half an hour to be ready to wait.
Friendly staff. Especially Philip and Farooq. Exceptional paneer tikka that you don't get anywhere here :)
The ambience and lighting are too good
Good watery with authentic dishes. Rupa our host was fantastic. Liked the Rabdi, Kulfi and China’s platter. The phyllo was good as well. Overall good dinner.
Quick bites:
Location- 4/5
Ambience- 3/5
Food- 4.5/5
Service- 3.5/5
WFM- 4/5
Parking- valet parking available
Ambience- dark, congested but cozy. When we had gone, the ac wasn't working properly so we felt warm and stuffy.
Food- we opted for their lunch buffet. Everything was amazing and unlimited. Dessert options were very less.
Service- apart from one or two experienced staff all others were kind of amateurish and didn't respond well.
Must try dishes- honey chilli Gobi, pudhina paneer, Pani Puri.
One of the best North Indian restaurant in Chennai. Quality of food is amazing. Super delicious. Service is amazing. Must eat for North Indian lovers.

If I had to review pind five years ago. I would have rated it as average based on their service, but now they have improved their service levels. The ambience is good, There is huge menu for Soups, Starters, Main Course, Desserts and Beverages. The price may be a bit on the Higher side but the overall experience is worth the price. Their Desserts and Masala Buttermilk are simply out of this world. If you love vegetarian food Pind is one of the Best options out there.
Amazing Food and Good Ambience. Service was Quick.Chilli Baby corn Appetizer to the start and Finished with Dil Bhaar Lassi which was amaze. Main course including Schzwan fried Rice , Butter naan Dal fry, Aloo Gobi, Paneer Manchurian was spicy which added to our Taste. Must visit Place.
A must to visit place for any North Indian looking for an authentic North Indian food with a perfect blend of spices and a wide variety of items on their menu , this place will reminiscent you of your native place
Great food, great ambience......but very slowly service. You should definitely try panner butter masala with kulcha. Lassi is a mouth watering drink.
Excellent place to dine. Excellent service too though it's a very crowded place being weekend. Food taste is superb...tried pudina paratta, laehha paratta, aloo kulcha, Punjabi paneer masala, chilli mushroom, shangrila wine and kulfi....I loved the taste of chilli mushroom...only drawback is our waiting time.
I have been here a few times already and for sure Pind had continued to maintain their level in terms of quality and quantity, so no disappointments. Nice ambience and interior decoration in Desi Punjabi style is refreshing every time you visit. The only hiccup you can argue here is with limited capacity, the hotel could not serve over 65 to 70 people, still they manage their show pretty well. 1300 rupees for 2 people is a fair deal is my view on this, so if you prefer to have a proper north Indian variety of food, am sure that this a place to try.
The first thing you’ll notice about this place is the entrance, or lack thereof. I remember someone saying “this does NOT look like it’s going to be a good place”. But thankfully, we were taught not to judge a book by its cover from a young age so we entered and were absolutely delighted that we did!
Very dim and cozy ambience. Like the name says, their theme is very Punjabi. Food was AMAZING. Being a hardcore non-vegetarian, I was slightly disappointed when I got to know it serves only vegetarian dishes but how can a person remain sad while gorging on delicious butter paneer, kofta, naan, kulcha and lachcha paratha?
Service was slightly slow but good things take time I guess.
Would definitely recommend going there if you’re stuck in Chennai and craving for some North Indian delicacies!
Absolutely delicious. Oh my gawd.
Such authentic North Indian food in centre of Chennai.
A menu with a lot of variety, delicious starters and polite serving staff.
Highly recommend to everyone.
A authentic Punjabi Dine in Chennai. If u r here for travel and dnt get alpng to well with South Indian food den its a must visit. We ordered Achari Panner and Harbhara kabab in starters. It was good. We order Lassi which tasted good bt could have been much chilled. In main course we ordered Panner Lababdar, butter roti, cheese garlic naan. All tastes good. Sweet lime soda also was not chilled which shld be taken care of. The staff is courteous n well mannered. All said its a worth a dine.
The experience at pind was really amazing. Mr. Yuvraj provided us a very courteous service. The service staff was caring. The restaurant is worth a second visit.
Best place to dine but you need to reserve or end end up waiting for tables as place is fullost of the time. Ambience is really good and staff are also good. Coming to food it's was just mouth watering and mataka panner was the best
The food was very good.we ordered stuffed dhingi(mushroom )was vey tastt.. yuvraj helped us choosing the dished. He was very friendly n informative.. very happy...
Best Punjabi flavour and veg restaurant. And I m a die-hard chicken fan.
One of best dishes- makai ki roti & sarso da saag with lassi
And for sweet tooth-rabdi.
Cost-5/5
Food-5/5
Service-5/5
Well this is one of my favourite punjabi cuisine place.
Must try - Dal Makhni(it’s finger licking good)
You might get lost while searching for the place but once you reach there you will have amazing food on your table instantly cause the service is quite fast and staffs are courteous.
Awesome service
Food quality is excellent
Paneer is very soft
Keep it up
Will definitely recommend for buffet
Very reasonable rate 499 per head
A nice restaurant for North Indian food lovers. Visited this place during the Christmas holidays, and tried their buffet menu.
They have a wide variety in the a la carte as well.
About the delicacies :
Thai king noodle soup - a perfect consistency soup prepared with vegetables and noodles which leaves a hint of spice at the end.
Hong kong gobhi mint flavor- delicious fried cauliflower with a crispy exterior and a soft flavorful interior.
Lasuni paneer tikka - one of the best lasuni paneer tikkas I have ever had. It had just the right amount of garlic. The tikkas were luscious and marinated well.
Palak chole ki seekh - chickpea and spinach seekh kebab. They were a little dry, but the combination was really good. Paired up well with the green chutney.
Tandoori vegetables - potatoes, cauliflower and capsicum, well marinated in tandoori sauce.
Onion rings - the best I have had till date. Very crispy, thinly sliced onion rings, batter fried until golden.
Gol gappe- the paani waa flavorful and spicy. Puri was stuffed with potato, onions and sev. Together they went well.
Salad - all 3 salads were fresh. The peanut salad was crunchy and had masala. Cream cucumber salad was as the name suggests, very creamy.
Dahiwali bhindi- deep fried okra cooked in yogurt gravy.
Paneer pasanda- soft paneer in gravy, very flavorful.
Gobi mutter keema- minced cauliflower and green peas in white gravy. Tasted really good, had a sweet flavor.
Veg kofta- potato dumplings stuffed with carrot and green peas, served in red gravy. Really tasty, the gravy was thick and creamy.
Punjabi roti - tandoori roti, it was without butter. Really soft and well cooked.
Kulcha - soft kulcha with onion seeds and coriander leaves.
Roasted papad
Raita
Punjabi beer - thick lassi prepared with yogurt.
Gulab jamun and vanilla ice cream- the perfect combo of hot gulab jamun served with vanilla ice crem. It left a sweet yet satisfying sensation on the palate.
We did not try the tawa pulav and noodles as we were already stuffed.
Overall the food was extremely good and the staff is very polite.
Ambiance is a set up of Punjabi village, just as the name suggests - Pind. The background music gives a Party like feeling.
Cost wise a really good deal, with good amount of food.
The Christmas special menu costed 1260 for 2 diners.
Food tastes excellent. The service is great. Had the lunch buffet which was delicious and worth every penny. Do visit for some amazing vegetarian food. The panneer here tastes just.. wow.
The ambience of the hotel is very good. The food is also very tasty and delicious. The best thing you need to do there is that you need to have chaas which is the best .
I had been hearing good reviews about this place for a while, so a visit was mandated.
The waiting list upon reaching the restaurant was something I didn't anticipate and it took us a good 40ish minutes to get seated(Saturday).
The owners have indeed tried to integrate the elements of the dhaba culture in the décor tastefully.
Everything aside, the staff was very courteous and patient right from the guy writing the table waiting list at the entrance.
I believe the food is pretty good and probably the best of this kind you can find in Chennai 😛.
There are however few disappointing bits; the sarson ka saag however rich in butter didn't match up to my expectations and the makki ki roti to be fair is a SHAM. That is not how the makki ki roti is.
Keeping these bits aside, otherwise the food was very inviting. The owners one of whom looked like a Sikh chick could be seen criss crossing the place the whole time most of which was spent in the kitchen and that I believe is what makes the food here so authentic.
Keep up the good work and do something about the makki ki roti😛.
Excellent taste and service. Main course was served piping hot. The starter was served lukewarm though. I highly recommend this place for their dinner service.
Pind is one of the few pure Vegetarian restaurants in Velachery with a great deal of variety. Their food is very tasty, and the buffet/combo meals are great value for money. I love their ambience, pretty simple. And the service is decent. The place tends to get very crowded over the weekends. Meal for a family would cost 2.5k-3k.
Love the paneer dishes from this restaurant though I prefer to get home delivery from here as I have been there once and dint like the ambience much.. however food is authentic north indian. Right, Anil Jaswal

This place has very vibrant vibe. Very colourful and full of energy vibe all over the place. The place is located in a small alley with no billboard on the main road so Google map will be helpful. They have valet parking .
The atmosphere is really good with enthusiastic staff . They are quick to take orders and serve the same.
They have widespread menu and lot of options to try from for vegetarian crowd.
The prices are justified with the kind of ambiance they have.
The quantity can be improved a little bit but the quality speaks for itself. The food is delicious and not too much experiment was done with taste so it's good.
The place is crowded and after tasting food and looking at the vibrant atmosphere I see the reason why.
Overall a great place to have lunch and dinner with family and friends
Food quality is good and taste is decent. Your request will be accepted for food customisation for you as well as for kids. Staff is good and friendly. Valet parking available. Ambience is good and best restaurant for families. Last but not least, it is pure vegetarian restaurant. Best for veg people.
It's pure vegetarian restaurant. Food is very good and taste is decent. Staff are good and friendly. They accept your additional request if possible.
Wanted for long , to enjoy Punjabi restaurant homely foods. This I visited Y’day and found it very appealing and all aspects worth every appreciation. I love Punjabhi culture, tradition, approach to life. There’s a cheer a grit and rhythm to life. Wish they possessed enough Punjabhi music and played only Punjabhi songs, of Mann Singh etc
This restaurant is a delightful choice for North Indian cuisine enthusiasts in Chennai. It provides an authentic experience that transports you to a different location, making you forget you're in Chennai.
The cuisine is outstanding, offering delicious North Indian dishes, and the service is exceptional, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
Our 2nd visit to Pind & this time @Velachery jn. & last time in Feb'24 @Thoraipakkam. I am a non vegetarian but have always come out with a satisfied palate. Their paneer kabab is too good. The bargain is their buffet (see menu in pic.) @650 per head. The best part is that they serve at the table so you can carry your conversation without being bothered to go around picking up your food. Service at Thoripakkam was warmer, specifically asking about a repeat and making suggestions & explaining what's coming. They keep giving warm water to aid digestion. Dessert could include some hot jalebi as well - as a suggestion. Overall a place worth going with family or with office colleague it's an all-weather safe & dependable restaurant. Valet parking is available.
PS: don't take a cold drink after so much milk based cuisine.
Have been to Pind multiple times with friends and family. The food and atmosphere is brilliant!
Based on my past experience and being a fan of Pind, had organized for a family dinner and decided to order in food from Pind. Chose to order directly from the restaurant than from Swiggy/Zomato as we had to order in large quantities (for about 15 people). Asif was the person who was coordinating. Everything was perfect and so hassle-free! Special appreciation for the attention to detail. Appreciate the team's pro-activeness and prompt response and other communication. To add up to the entire thing, the food was amazing! And oh yes.. the Punjabi Masala Beer was to die for!!! Can't exit Pind without having their signature Punjabi Masala Beer. Our guests gave their special appreciation to the food quality and conveyed that they had a blast!
Thank you so much once again! 👍🏻👏🏻
I ate here first time Punjabi thali , taste is good at little bit higher price. It's theme based restaurant with North Indian/Punjabi taste. It's good option if you are searching north Indian taste. When I visited that time full of crowd but management is good. When you are planning to visit here then better to book your seats. Overall good experience. loved it.💖
Its really an amazing place if you want to have authentic north Indian dishes.
The place is really crowded better book a table in advance. I tried American crispy corn, paneer tikka for starters and both were amazing, for main course malai kofta and paneer lababdaar. They have variety of breads do try missi roti. Rabdi as dessert and it was soo good.
The service os really good, you won't have to wait for long time after ordering the food. Overall its a must try restaurant.
The taste was very Desi and natural with exceptional service and courtful staff which would deserve 5 on this category. A good option for vegetarian. The price was very competitive. Acceptance of payment options like dine out would make it more friendly. One thing was the tables can be spaced better, gap between the longer line as you feel like you are sitting close to a unknown person.
