We had an exceptional experience at coal barbecue restaurant !! My parents and toddler enjoyed the food there and the range of cuisines as well as dishes were amazing. We were treated well by the wait staff. highly recommend :)
Really ossom experience there. I can surely say that it is best of all BBQ's in chennai. Very good place for dinner with friends and family. Great ambiance. Good food. And finally yummy Desserts. Those who all dessert lovers should surely visit here for dinner. Worth..!! Happy eating.....!! ���
Had a great experience when I went for lunch with family. Was very disappointed with barbecue nation in Chennai when we went for team dinner. So did not have much expectations from coal barbecue. But they proved me wrong. The food and service both were awesome. Was spoilt for choice with the spread they had. Am sure they will replace ABS and Barbecue nation as the best option in Chennai for barbecue cuisine
The very ambience of the place is just awsome... Food is inexplicably good...number of varieties are high... Specially the starters are too good... Specifically honey Chicken is awesome.... I thought after eating till neck I was afraid that it ll take a long time to digest ... But nothing went wrong actually... This explains the quality of food...place to go specially when the number of ppl are more than 5.... Loved it completely...

Coal barbecues has wide range of starters and maincourse and deserts. Among the starters my favorite was the chicken wings and crispy corn . And they had good jelabi and jamuns too . As a whole u will have good experience
An amazing unlimited buffet experience. There is no negative to it at all.. Honey chicken was top notch and the best of the lot. That really good among other contemporary chicken starters.
To add toppings, the dessert and live grill was also really good and fire pan was the perfect ending!
Obviously one of the best buffet restaurants in Chennai. They have a huge variety of starters and desserts.
I've been there a few months ago for one of my friend's birthday celebration. They do provide a small cake with sparkles and sing a happy song. It's really the best place to spend time with your family and friends. Staffs are Gentle and responsive.

Coming to food taste, Trust me, most of the dishes tasted awesome. They didn't compromised anything in taste. Only thing I didn't like much is their kinda seafood dishes and soups except prawns, prawns were excellent. I'm sure you will love the honey chicken and go for it many rounds

Coal Barbecues is one of the best place in Velachery to have food, I was there with my colleague and ordered Chicken Chilly and Cheese Roll. both was ultimate tasty, I would recommended.
Wow! What an evening! The best among all the Barbeque outlets that I've been to till date! I have heard a lot of excellent reviews about Coal BBQ, and boy, it didn't disappoint!
It was a friend's treat, 3 of us went for that. We ate a lot, can't recall now what all we ate, but the starters, veg & non-veg both, were just exquisite. All of them were great, the standouts among them being Honey Chicken, Cheese Potato, Chilly Paneer. The main course variety was great too, it was awesome to see a good menu of main course compared to other BBQ chains. Another standout was the desserts- such great variety. Pan Kulfi is a must try. The staff was very well mannered, polite and courteous. The head chef came and asked for our review, it was really great. All in All, a great dining experience. Don't miss the smoke pan in the end for a good photo capture!

This is my go to place for buffet whenever I am in Chennai and this place never disappoints.
The atmosphere is quite vibrant and lively , the quirky decor and the entire setup is amazing.
The staff at this place is what stands out for me . They are extremely hospitable and courteous and always checking up on you and your dining experience.
The buffet menu offers a lot of options along with the live counter that you are spoilt for choices .
However I think they can improve the taste and quality of some of the kebabs, that will only elevate the entire flavor and experience.
They prefer you reserve your spot by phone or online so make sure to do that .
We booked at the 2 pm slot it was an over crowd. We got a table after 15 mins. We tried all the starters that made me full . Thanks for good food . Price was 4700 for 5 person .
The food was quite good and good place to take your family on week or weekend days. They have veriety of dishes, nice and good. You can have both North Indian and South Indian food along with continental. They have good services. Happy to enjoy , you can celebrate your birthday and other functions.

This place had quite the vibe,it is slightly bigger than usual barbeque buffet restaurants and surprisingly all tables were occupied.
The staff were also attentive, although we had a bit of delay on getting our starters refilled at first, but later it became smooth. The welcome drink was also quite good. The staff doesnt come and ask you too many questions in between having food, they ask just the basic questions like spice level and quality, which is good .
Coming to the food, we started with soup , the usual starters and barbeques. Special mention to their mutton seekh kebab which was exceptional.
The main cource was a bit disapointing, with only a few options. The taste was also average, but i guess that is fine coz we were already full with the starters. The dessert was the best part. There were a few things which was quite new for us. The live counter was also good, with pizza , chat, pasta , dosa etc.
Overall, it is a good place, but if you ask me to choose between bbq nation and coal barbeques, i would pick bbq nation. I think maybe in the near future this place will come up to that level.
I was pretty excited to visit here for the first time. I would rate the service very high since each of their staff members took exceptional care of every table. The food however was disappointing tbh. The spread was great but it didn’t leave me craving for me. Overall, it is good value for money given the number of dishes made available as part of their buffet.
My biggest disappointment was a simple lemon soda - I don’t think their bar staff knew how to make drinks. My drink was extremely sweet and pretty flat so I had to send it back, the next time around it was less sweet and very flat (more so like lemon juice). The manager figured i didn’t enjoy my drink and didn’t charge me for it. A lemon soda needs to be fizzy and sharp. I hope management pays attention to their beverage menu given their premium prices.

Had team lunch here. Both veg and non veg starters are great. Farook was helping us in bringing our asks. Other main courses are as normal, could be improvised. Recommended.
Starters were good the chocolate fountain was great. The service was good and quick. The Mogitos are not that great ice cream was good. Fruits were fresh. Place was congested though. Language barrier is a big problem there. We had fun. Honey chicken was especially good. Place and restroom can be more neat and tidy.
It'd give a 5+ star for service if it's available. Such a comfortable service they provided here. Visited the place for my parents' anniversary and they loved spending time here. The staff here made my parents feel so comfortable, and the food was delicious too. Loved the dessert platter particularly - and the variety provided here was amazing. Loved the song the team sung for my parents for anniversary wish too! Should definitely thank them for their love towards my parents.
Recently went for lunch to this place. Customer service at it's best...loved the overall experience. Being a vegetarian the spread had tasty varieties. Starters were served with utmost care and the staffs were extremely attentive. Highly recommended.
