Healthy and tasty food menu that comes along with good service. Would highly recommend.
To start the staff & management are very helpful & courteous. Just loved the food & the kids enjoyed too. The interiors are comfy & welcoming. Food to the table time was very prompt. Scrumptious food & we’re sure going back...
Good food and great service. A very creative space as well, for creators and ideators!!!
My friends and I went there for a quick lunch but spent almost 4 hrs there. Great food and excellent service. My vegetarian friends said they had a lot of options. I will keep going there often.
After ditching writers cafe, with no second thought we headed to this beautiful place and lunch date turned out to be an amazing one.
One of few places that actually makes me want to go back to try other dishes.
Fantastic place. Lots of healthy and tasty options. Staff are great.
Great ambience and awesome vegan food varieties.😍🙌🏻

Great place, awesome food, excellent hospitality!!
The spiced pumpkin cupcake & scones are amazing !
Awesome global cuisine foods
Good ambience friendly staffs
I like it
Went here for the first time after the lockdown. Not many people for dining at 4-5pm. They have good collection of bakery and pastries.
I ordered chocolate eclairs and a cafe mocha. Both Tastes very good. But the quantity of their hot beverages are very less. Their menu seems like there’s something for everyone and every cuisine. Good spot for vegan and Asian cuisine.
What a place❣️. Must visit this place if you are a fan of breads. The quality of breads their texture are awesome. We went for breakfast there and it was a good breakfast. Service staff was pronominal ❣️❣️. I am happy to see that there are most of the staffs are female. Good work guys keep it up.
I want to visit again this place❣️❣️.
A good place for brunch. Quite a good variety of menu for breakfast. Would definitely recommend to all people looking for brunch.
Grilled chicken pizza, fried rice, sesame chicken, pumpkin soup - 4 amazing dishes! Enjoyed!
I wish they had some Pepsi, coke drinks to cool off! Overall, amazing continental mix Chinese experience.
I’ve been on the quest to get a half decent croissant in Chennai. Which seemed like a mission impossible! After trying out many places out here and pissing off a lot of people by saying a croissant is not supposed to have the texture of a bun.
I’ve finally found it, “The pumpkin tales” made my morning. Perfect flaky and the best part was the inside had the perfect honeycomb texture. Can’t wait to try their sour dough and the rest of the menu.
Ps: Not the best croissant I’ve had, but definitely the best Chennai has to offer.
Went for Christmas ,had their eggnogg and it was amazing. They have a unique menu ,however I couldn't try much coz we were in a hurry Their baked goods are however literally the best ,they are just so fresh literally right out of the oven .The taste just lingers in your mouth if you eat it ,and makes you want to go again and again for sure.Hjghly would recommend this place.
Amazing food. Great vegan options. Love their Taco Tuesday! Dine in style :)
Please let us help to keep this restaurant in business
Loved the Mexican bowl, the desserts as well as the funky drinks! A little pricey but the ingredients were fresh and yum.
I was here for lunch.. I recently switched to vegan so was looking for options online and I found this!! I have to say, lovely place, food and every thing nice! I was here by myself and ordered for the vegan malabar red curry rice and they have a few options for vegan baked goods (which felt like heaven to me) so I had ordered for a banana bread and to top it all off, a soothing Black coffee.. the place is amazing, didn't burn the pocket. If you need a quiet place and great food. This is it 🥰
Been wanting to try this place for a long time.
Ambience - neatly done . Colours were pleasant. Comfortable seating.
Staff - excellent . Very courteous and friendly .
Service - was fast enough considering the place was full on a Saturday night.
Food . Overall all the dishes were good. The Mango sorbet was amazing awesome texture with a truly pulpy feeling . High point of my day. The balinese curry was nice with good flavours. We had also ordered the chicken calzone and a grilled chicken pizza which were nice . I felt that the dishes needed a little more zing to them to make them excellent . But overall a nice experience . Willing to go back to try some more dishes
One of the gems of the city. So many amazing vegan options - blown away by the choice, variety and price. Loved everything we ordered - well done. Can’t wait to go back next time we are in Chennai! :)
The ambience was great with great food to complement it. Great variety of vegan and vegetarian options as well. A must try, either with friends or family.
Their Pumpkin Pie Smoothie was an absolute treat! Perfect amount of natural sweetness from the banana. I would never have thought of putting pumpkin seeds in the smoothie too... a great idea, and smart way to add in a source of protein while keeping with the pumpkin theme!
Good food. Good decor. Really Good staff. 9/10 Would love to go again.
This restaurant has the perfect vibes and environment to enjoy your meal with your family, friends and your loved ones.
You can taste the commitment which goes into each of their dishes thay come out of the kitchen.
I had Rainbow Bowl from the salads and Saffron Pasta.
The vegetables were cooked to perfection with their natural crunch and seasoned really well. This doesn't stop. To the bowl soft slices of tofu is added which takes this dish to another spectrum.
Pasta mildly seasoned cooked to perfection and married to creamy cheese, mildly seasoned.
For dessert I had Tiramisu.
This is one the best I ever had.
I would surely recommend this restaurant for having an amazing dining experience.
The food was awesome. The waitress Iban was very polite and kind to us. The Roast Chicken and Guiltless Fried Rice were too good. I would have rated this restaurant more than 5 stars if I could. Me and my family enjoyed our time in Pumpkin Tales. Thank you for the excellent food.
This place was bookmarked from long time and finally decided for Christmas lunch. The place has valet parking and it is in residential are so it was calm. The staff was very courteous and they were quick on the table to accept the order and serve the same. The food content looks very healthy with good presentation. The food is good and in proper quantity. The tables were full but still the place didn't look crowded or congested. They have good desserts option on display and kids will love it.
Overall good recommendation for friends and family
Great find. 12 of us came here, and we all loved the food - and we all had different things. Really nice ambience and attentive staff as well. The snapper was really yum, as were the deserts. The Bakery downstairs was good too. I’ll definitely come back
A new find for us and it lived up to the expectations! Was a great place, we started by having the tasty pumpkin soup. We wanted to have fish for starters and had ordered Fish Cake which was not bad. The highlight was Umami Bowl which was brilliant to our liking ! Wouldn’t mind another visit !
1. We ordered a Grilled Chicken Pizza as appetizer. Grilled chicken pizza comes with thin crust of flat pizza bread, tomato sauce, Caramalized onion, Grilled chicken, chedar & fresh herbs. The Chedar cheese was overpowering the flavours of other ingredients. We couldn't taste the tomato sauce or onions. Chicken was well cooked.
2. As main course, we ordered "Oh no khow svey" which is a soupy wheat noodle cooked in coconut milk & chickpea flour topped with peanut fritters, fried garlic, onions & boiled eggs. The dish had a subtle and comforting taste to it. The warmth of the food was perfect for the rainy weather. I loved the blend of various ingredients in the dish.
My first time to this much talked about place. I must say was a pleasant experience. What i liked? Everything, from the ambience to the service and the food. They were par excellence!
The girls were warm, friendly and well trained. They knew about the food and the ingredients in the dish.
The soup was fresh the ingredients used in the dish had flavour and freshness. The bibimbap was excellent and gave us a feeling we were dinning at Korea.
Kudos to the team, keep up the good work!
I visited Pumpkin tales after a long time keeping this restaurant in my bookmark. Staff and service is the one I should give 5 star. The food is good but not great for me. I felt this even I have ordered their top-selling bibimbap and umami. It's ok....
I should try this joint once for breakfast...
I should suggest Zomato to increase the price for two. Since it easily costore than 1100 or 1200 for two.
I spend about 1900 including tax for 2 main course, 1 starter, 1 coffee and a smoothie.....
Our experience at Pumpkin tales was decent enough. We ordered the chicken laksa, the shakshouka and the pawn bibimbap. The shakshouka was my personal favourite. The eggs were cooked really well. There was mozzarella cheese on top. It had a lovely cumin flavour and was served with crusty bread . The laksa was also good. The broth was very hearty and warming and I loved the noodles in it. My least favourite was the prawn bibimbap. I found it to be too bland and not pleasant to eat. The service was really good. The waitress was kind enough to change the order to accommodate our food allergies. Overall it was a decent experience.

This is a mid sized and a comfy stylish space. I went here for dinner with my bestie y'day night.
This contemporary cafe's menu is filled with Western style small and some large plates.
We split the chicken herbal soup (very wholesome with a nice tumeric-peppery clear broth) and had two mains, the Umami bowl and Javanese curry bowl. I loved the Umami bowl, which filled with colourful veggies and an interesting sweet-sour flavour to it. The curry bowl was a little more straight forward, but was tasty. We ended the meal with an absolutely scrumptious carrot cake.
Service by the all ladies team was professional yet friendly.
Price points, well it's definitely above the average, but justifies the quality and portion size!
Highly recommend!
Excellent service and food
Best for Chinese and Italian cusine
Finally the deserts were awesomeee
Literally didn't expect it out but they managed it so well
Excellent Taste❤️
The food✅
The service✅
The atmosphere✅
Everything is really exceptional. For those who didn't try this out do give it a shot.
Oh I love almost everything at #Pumpkintales. Quality of the food and authentic flavour make this place as one of My Favourite places to Dine. Excellent service.
We have few places that you never get bored, pumpkin Tales is one such place for my Tummy 😀 our recent visit was to try out Sichuan stories. Each dish put across was authentic in taste, Desserts were different. We are Glad that authentic cuisine is available near us. Oh I must say for Vegas n vegetarian plenty of options.
Delicious food.... fantastic staff.... a place for mush visit in Chennai Alwarpet.
Good ambience. Very neat and clean. Green curry chicken was good. Glass noodles had lots of veggies and noodles was comparatively less. Chicken in noodles was bland . The waitress were polite.
Food 8/10
Ambience 10/10
Cost 8/10
Suggestion would be - glass noodles can be improved by heroing the noodles instead of veggies and the quantity as well

Just now came back from this really good place with a full tummy. I wished we had ordered the pizza or calzone. Will definitely go there again to try out their pizza. Today we had the megoreng and pepper red snapper. Both the dishes were amazing and just enough for one person. For dessert I picked the tiramisu and my brother got the choco banana moist cake with latte. Both of them were just too good and we cleaned the plates.
The staff were very courteous and helpful in suggesting dishes. The service was prompt and we really loved the experience. Definitely going again soon.
A place that was on my wishlist for a long time! finally on fine day i decided to head to this place for lunch. When i entered this restaurant the scent of that place gave me a really good vibe. the staffs were really very kind and sweet. its located on the main road itself, very easy to spot.
we ordered
1.chicken wings
2. chicken sesame bits
3. grilled chicken pizza
4. tiramisu
both the chicken starters were awesome. the one thing tat amazed me here is the quantity of the food. the cost of it is definitely worth the food and the quantityy!
the pizza again was really different and tasted yumm. ❤️
it was loaded with cheese and grilled chicken.
FINALLY ABOUT THE DESSERT❤️
The best evereTIRAMISU i have tasted so far😍😍.
it was awesome to the core and its a must try dessert.
they have a good variety of desserts💯
overall rating-
food-4/5
cost-4/5
ambience-5/5
service-5/5
Excellent food. Well presented and tasteful. Wide array of choices on the Menu. Service is an absolute delight. Relaxed ambience. Wonderful experience.
I do not write too many reviews, and only do when very impressed. I had recently visited Pumpkin Tales with my family for dinner. The brilliance about this place was that every single dish we ordered was incredible. Be it the pumpkin soup (undersalted but soulful), the vegetarian aubergine pizza (the addition of figs - inspired), the khow suey (probably the pick of the mains), the Balinese curry with rice, the grilled fish and the shakshukha (did not regret eating such a delicious breakfast item for dinner, and definitely yum)
Each dish was amazing and the portions were huge. The mango sorbet (very seasonal) came highly recommended. Despite us being super full, we polished the sorbet and the rather tasty cheese cake. Could go again just for the sorbet.
Overall a very pleasant experience.
I liked everything about this place. A good spot to catchup with friends and enjoy food. The menu was limited as we went before 6. Note that The full menu is available only after 6, for dinner. So we waited until it turned 6. Loved the dishes we ordered.
The food is definitely worth the try! It's was all cooked to perfection!!! Especially the Thai green curry❤️ I'm in loveeee!! But Nasi goreng wasn't upto the expectation levels!! The starters butter garlic prawns and sesame chicken bits were too good!!! Overall we had a happy ending at pumpkin tales!❤️ Service was also good!! Will definitely visit the place again for the Thai green curry!!
A must-visit restaurant for vegans in Chennai. All my orders, Veg sausage and peppers, rainbow bowl and mexican bowl tasted great. I would say this is the healthiest meal I have eaten. A vegan dessert, banana cheese cake with strawberry slices was out of the world. Service was wonderful and it was a great experience!
It was a sunday afternoon that we decided to go to Pumpkin Tales and it was indeed a good decision. Good ambiance, good food, slightly sluggish service as we had to call the guys quite a lot (maybe because we were seated just behind the pillars and were not so much in sight)
The roasted veg flat vread pizza was a smacker and the chicken steak was a absolute banger. As I was on a no sugar diet, I couldn't try much of the coolers and mocktail. Maybe some other time.
Overall a pleasant experience.
Pumpkin Tales!!!! Firstly kudos for the courteous nature of the staff, surely a splendid service they provided. The unique feature about this restaurant is that, they have taken the only most famous Dishes from each ASEAN Country and have mastered it. Right from Malaysian Mee Goring and Nasi Lemak, Thai’s green curry, Balinese peas / chicken curry to the Singapore famous Laksa are all there. Do try their Hainanese Chicken fried rice for the authentic broth cooked rice and veggies. The Lunch and dinner menu is young and limited but they’ve mastered it well. The taste and experience is authentic and we jus loved it. The challenges of this restaurant is that the prices are a little on the creamy side for a common man; But if you are someone who doesn’t mind spending a little more for the authentic taste and experience, then we strongly recommend you to visit this place. Also we wish they introduce sea food option in their main menu in all dishes.
They also have a good breakfast menu and a bakery wing add on.
Overall this place is a must go, must try!
Food 4.5, Service 5, Ambience 4

Great Ambience and friendly staffs. Addicted to butter garlic prawns and zhug 🐔cubes 😍. First time i have tasted the calzone and turned out to be fantastic. Looking forward to frequent visits 🤩.
A quaint place off most people's radar that needs to be noticed more. Pumpkin tales is perfect for a lazy Sunday lunch with it's warm ambience. Bathed in, well, pumpkin colours, the restaurant is quite true to it's name. It boasts a menu ranging from Italian to Indonesian food.
The food is delicious and there are tons of options for vegans. Their Thai food is some of the best in the city.
Do give it a try.
Such an amazing and underrated restaurant in Chennai. If you want clean and healthy food this place is a must visit.Theres also the added bonus of the fresh bakery downstairs where I always pick up some great bread!
I had 'calamari in Sambhal sauce', wasn't as spicy as i imagined it to be. I must have explained my expectations, may be.
Also tried 'Egg shakshuka' here, was good.
we had cheesecake for dessert, it was also really good.
We found out about this place on internet. It is run by all women staff. And the owners seem very inspiring, as in the way they have come up together and maintained this place. The place has an amazing aura. I hope someday we hit this place for break fast.
With numerous cafes opening in Chennai and established already, there are a few that stands out from the rest and this cafe is one among them. Nice ambience and lovely service first of all. Located in a very calm place, it's very relaxed. Butter garlic prawns and zhug chicken cubes are delicious. I tried wonton veg soup which was really nice. Burmese noodles is their signature item. Pls try that if you visit.
A trio of us. I ordered the bibimbap, which was authentically served in its stone pot; extra points for that. Taste wise, it was almost like the real deal. Singapore curry laksa was tasty and on point. Green curry was also certainly better if not the best I have tried. Loved the ambience too! Would definitely come again to try other dishes.
Nice place with vibrant interior. We went there to have saturday breakfast. We ordered scrambled egg with chorizo sausage and sour dough bread, hash brown ( its not a typical hash brown cmbination of potato n sweet potato baked ) with mushroom cheese egg and bacon on the side. Both dish was super yummy. Coffee was also up to the mark. Though it was on a higher side in terms of price ( 1200 for two for breakfast)but we are satisfied with the overall experience. Frindly staff good food and good place is enough to forget the price.
The Bibimbap was delicious and their pumpkin soup was the best. It was nice place to chill with friends and the food was quite good. Bit pricey but worth a try
Excellent food and ambience. Great service. Loved the Thai green curry and Sichuan prawns. Thai green curry’s quantity could be better. Sichuan prawns were perfect.
Decided to go to this place as it was on my list for quite some time now
Decor and ambience is good and lively
The staff is very friendly
Food is very delicious however the portion size does little Justice for the price charged
Ordered black beans tacos, garlic mushrooms and a roasted veggies flat bread pizza
All the three items very amazing and tasty
Excellent food and ambience!!! A place to cherish!! Sunday morning breakfast are the best with wide range of options from eggs to pancakes !!’ Likewise very many options keeping healthy and clean food in mind... Need not mention about the staffs and the owners are courteous and welcoming with a smile on the face makes us to visit this place again and again!!
I have never eaten so much and felt so deliciously full in a really long time. My second time was with a ramen, first time having it, it was warm and taking my time to have it was special as it did not cool off and go stale too soon. Felt real like home. Ambience is more food focused and the hosts there are a delight. Caring more about the experience you have with the food rather than the billing.
This is a late review as I had been to pumpkin tales over two months ago. Once for breakfast and once for lunch.
The Breakfast was a quick affair as I just needed a place to sit and work, but they did serve a wonderful Mexican bowl and hot chocolate.
The first time I had been here however was because my friend and I were craving for pumpkin soup and we placed our bets on the restaurant which had the name of the vegetable!
We were not disappointed. We did not eat anything else that lunch, just two big bowls of pumpkin soup and two contented tummies behind it.
I looked at the menu and was a little overwhelmed by the list! So, I went with the Pumpkin Soup. It doesn't sound as delightful, but it was the best-decision-ever!
The soup had this slightly glazed orange texture with a tiny trail of cream, topped with pumpkin seeds. It was just right to drink up when it was brought in. (Big plus, because I constantly burn my tongue when I order soups. I'm an impatient child.) AND most importantly. It didn't taste like pumpkin. You'll get just a hint of it.
I was in a hurry and ordered only this. But it is the BEST pumpkin soup I've ever had!
I went during Christmas last year, and the decor was minimal but very elegant. The staff was welcoming. And the seating allows for adequate privacy but doesn't keep you hidden in case you want service.

If you want to feel so home, enjoy some amazing food and get pampered with one of the best hospitality then this is the place to be. The quality of the food is extremely great. You don't experience an irritable tummy and every morsel you take is so flavourful. If you are in Chennai then you have to visit this place.
This is a beautiful little place. The service was top notch. I felt very welcome and cozy. Also the music was very pleasant. Food was good in quality. The washrooms were clean.
Harissa Chicken - tasted nice. Like it much.
Bibimbap Chicken - tasted good & unique
Tiramisu Sundae - liked the Tiramisu flavours
Overall food were good but bit high rates.
Courteous service & pleasant ambience.
An amazing experience, loved the food, however the highlight was the amazing staff. Will definitely recommend this place 100%
Had a great breakfast there. Plenty of unique options in the menu. Caffé Mocha was really, really good. Worth a try!
It was good. Food was good. Service could've been better. It was very noisy in the restaurant. But the restaurant is not to blame. Indians are loud people. They take for granted that their talking loudly doesn't/shouldn't affect others in the restaurant or other public spaces they visit. Probably the restaurants should request (via the menu they provide) their patrons to maintain decorum by keeping their voices low and keeping their kids under control.
Great breakfast options.
Service was a bit slow.
Dishes we ordered were good except the juice - gosh that was a total mood spoiler.
This was on my wish list for a long time and so glad I finally got to try it. Lovely interiors and was pleasantly surprised that the place had a lotta veg options.
Later we got to know that the co-owner was also a vegetarian and she had insisted on a good spread of veg food !
Loved every dish we ordered especially the mock meat starter and the mushroom spaghetti.
This place is surely a must visit even though it can get a little heavy on your pocket!
Great food and great place !!
This restaurant sets the bar high with its excellent food. Every dish is a masterpiece of flavors and presentation. The culinary expertise is truly commendable. A must-visit for food enthusiasts!
This restaurant effortlessly combines a captivating atmosphere with outstanding service. The ambiance is inviting and enhances the overall dining experience. The staff's attentiveness and friendliness contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. A perfect choice for those who appreciate both a pleasing environment and impeccable service.
It was a pleasant surprise. It was recommended the friend who I went for breakfast totally enjoyed. Planning to go along with family again. Forgot to click the pic before I started to eat.
We had delicious food and an amazing time here. Their customer service, quality and quantity of food are commendable. This restaurant is highly recommended place for soul-soothing food. My all time favourites: Balinese Curry Veg, Garlic sherry mushrooms and Tropical Mango Bubble Tea.
I went to this place for breakfast on a Thursday morning. It wasn't crowded, and service was reasonably fast. I got the vegan bagel breakfast with roasted veggies and potatoes on the side. The plate also came with a side of fruits. Everything was fresh and tasted delicious. The cappuccino was also good. The staff were courteous and the place had generally chill vibes.
Wonderful breakfast. I asked the server for their recommendations and picked the eggs Benedict with bacon .large portions of food with lots of sides, the fresh fruits ,baby patotos and bacon that came along with the dish was amazing. Pain au chocolate/chocolate crossiant was gobbled up in seconds . Overall good breakfast. However try to come a bit early as breakfast options close at 11 am.
The food is super delicious. We tried fish, ramen, Korean noodles, pumpkin soup, Sambal. The staff is very nice. Ambience is decent.
I ordered for takeaway delivery. I ordered for roast chicken. It was absolutely authentic and delicious. Chicken was well cooked juicy and succulent. Roast gravy was very delicious. Mash potato was smooth and velvet like texture. In my opinion one of the best roast chicken dinner in town.
Good ambience. Very polite staff. Pretty smiling lady Stewardess and friendly waitress. The food tasted good. We as a couple had pumpkins soup, chicken Laska, prawn bibimbap and chicken sesame starter. The chicken sesame starter was strangely soft and tender. The strangeness was yet admirable. They were playing billy holiday songs which was classic.
Simply a nice experience.
Multi-cuisine food variety and taste is great and service is good. Ambience is wonderful but the place tends to get more noisy if there are a small kids. If the noise factor was less this place would be great for an overall dining experience.
This place opens at 7.00am and has good breakfast options. A good experience on every visit but it could do with some decor renovation.
