The ambience was amazing,with all the wall paintings which gives out a good vibe.
The food is reasonably priced and some of the dishes are worth again visiting for !
Loved the food here. Even though the prices are a little high the food is excellent and the quantity is very good. Staff were very friendly, dessert and drinks were a 5 star.
Absolutely loved the food and ambience at Bastian. They serve some of the tastiest ceviche I have had in India -- the fish is chunky and the flavouring is bang on. I was particularly impressed with the lobster dynamite. It was incredible how they managed to pack that kind of heat and flavour while keeping the sweetness of the lobster intact. Quite wonderful! That the cheesecake selection is really good goes without saying, and made for the perfect ending to a lovely meal.

Mamagoto is definitely a safe bet when comes to Asian cuisine, you know you won't be disappointed..I love the ambience of Chennai brunch totally , full of wall art and colorful.. This time also the dumplings are as per the excellence..Tried first time Kolkata Spicy Noodles, the portion is enough for 2 people with medium appetite..The noodle tasted really good though it's really really spicy ..I felt price is quite high compare to the regular, this noodles cost 600 bucks.. Service was prompt and good...

I’ve been here twice in a year’s time. This place has the best asian cuisine and the menu has a wide variety of options to choose from. Also you have extremely courteous staff who can help you choose dishes of your choice. Well I’m not really a soup person, so we started off with the 1990’s chilli chicken, that was tangy and hot. The BASIL CUP - minced chicken are my favourite and i have it every time i go there. It’s basically minced chicken sautéed with spices and served on basil. The best part is the juiciness that the chicken retains. Also tried the fish fillet and I’ll rate it a 3/5. Had Hakka noodles for the main course and can’t complain it had all the right flavours. The menu doesn’t have great dessert options but they do offer a range of smoothies and beverages. The place has aesthetically painted walls and red background base.
Ps. The yellow door (entrance door) is a definite instaworthy picture place.

Located at KNK on the first floor, there is a lift and the entrance to the restaurant is bright. When you enter, a colourful ambiance hits you with a mock tail counter towards the far right. Adequate seating. We were a group so ordered a variety of dishes like, Rock Shrimp tempura, Hua Hin highway rolls, Water chestnut spring rolls, Crispy fish fillet in spicy black pepper sauce, 1990's Chilli chicken, Schezwan pepper chicken rice, Hakka noodles, Chicken with bamboo shoot.
Before the starters and mains, we ordered Tom Yum shrimp soup and it was tasty.
The Rock shrimp tempura was tasty though the shrimps were pretty small.
Both Hau hin and Water chestnut spring rolls were very tasty, specially with the accompanied sauces.
Crispy fish fillet was not up to the mark and felt it was too soggy.
1990's Chilli chicken was okay
Schezwan pepper chicken rice was tasty and well presented though one may feel quantity is less for the price.
Hakka noodles were tasty and well made.
Chicken with bamboo shoot was okay.
We were full by this time and ordered just one Chunky caramel sponge cake.
Price point is high. Portion sizes are medium.
Overall experience is good. Ambiance is good. Service team is excellent.

I had the old school gyoza chicken dumplings. I've looked and looked for the best dumplings with the 'right dipping sauce' and have found it.!! Please never lower your standards and keep making the best! If you want the best you'll have to pay for it. It's worth every rupee.
I visited mamagoto nugumbakkam two days before with my friends. It is an pan Asian restaurants it served fusion Asian cuisines. The dishes I ordered Tom yum soup anti platter dumplings, mocktail pitchers are amazing the service staffs he is explained the each and every dishes. Especially service and food was excellent. 💓 Quality : Great. Perfected. Both the food and presentation were great.
🧡 Ambiance : Compact and lil noisy during peak times and that's obvious. As this place is quite famous, people with lil pockets visit here and we can't blame the place. Its just that, it can be expanded and restrooms were neat too!

We ordered hua hin highway rolls, veg dumpling platter, a kiwi mint lemon cooler, and a orange virgin sangria.. We were literally full after just having this and two bowls of fried chips.. The dips and the different type of chilly oils they give with the dumplings are great..
On the whole.. Very nice spicy asian food.. Loved it.. Will definitely visit again and try more...

When you get asked more than once how your food was at the end of your meal, you know they value your time and effort to dine in at Mamagoto. It was my very first time and had a really nice experience.
Tried: crispy lotus stem, street style spicy dumplings, spicy bangkok bowl, berry in a hurry - loved the entire bunch. Went here more to have some serious discussions and to enjoy some good food while we were at it.
It’s a very fancy place and if you are new and clueless, you can just ask the waiters, who also make sure to ask if you have any allergies beforehand.

The quality of the food 🍲 and service here is just like what I expected and what I have eaten in out of the country. We had tried the fresh tender coconut pineapple 🍍 flavour I loved it, and we move on to the Starters we ordered traditional crispy lamb which is absolutely fantastic, Hot basil chicken cups, Sushi Ebi tempura, Peking dumpling chicken 👍Tom yam shrimp soup, for mains, we had spicy Bangkok bowl 🍜 chicken it has enough Thai flavour it was amazing. highly recommended!

I went here for my Birthday dinner with my family and I honestly have no complaints apart from the service charges! It was around 500 rupees just as service charges. Apart from that, food and service was excellent. The portions are pretty big so just maybe order a little lesser than you normally would. We loved the 22 ingredient soup! :)

The place is really lively. Fair amount of justice to items they describe in the menu. Good joint to hang out with friends. Funky interiors. Quantity per serving is a bit high. 2 dishes for 2 people is a little tough to finish.
The best place to have authentic Thai red curry with sticky rice in Chennai. Ambience is good and sets the mood for the food. Wait time during weekends is more, so better to book early. The Ramen is also very good and flavourful.
Located on Khader Nawaz Khan Road, this place has a very pretty ambience, depicting different Asian cultures. The service was very efficient and good. Food was pricey but tasted very authentic.

If you’re a fan of PAN Asian it is the designation to crash into, the ambience would make you feel like in Japan and the food is delicious. The service of food is a little delayed and the prices are on the higher side compared to other eateries with the same cuisine.

The food was really yumm. I ordered thai fried shrimp rice and crab tacos. It was really yum. The food was a must try here. The prie is costly but still worth the taste.
The interior is very good and welcoming. Feels like home and comfortable with friendly staff.
Now on to food:
Chinese Sour & Pepper - very thick and very nice. The right amount of spice.
Tom Yum Soup - bit disappointing. The oil layer was visible and was very thin soup. The taste wasn't good overall and it was left over.
Basil cups - the lettuce taste was off but the portions were well seasoned and tasted better without the lettuce. Could be better.
Dumplings - slightly expensive but they were so soft and perfectly cooked. If you looking to try some good dumplings, this is a good place to start.
Bangkok bowl - the highlight of the day. So good. Great quantity without losing quality. Right from the first bite till the last one the taste was consistent. The complimentary snack was a perfect touch and we ended up getting another bowl.
The waiter also asked if we had Zomato gold and that helped to reduce the cost of one dish. Overall satisfied with the food, interior, and staff.

I ordered for hua him highway rolls, basil cups and Mama's spicy ramen bowl. My favorite was basil cups, they were so fresh and healthy. Minced vegetables on a lettuce(shaped like a cup) is a perfect and a healthy starter. .

I've been here as part of team dinner. After trying out Asian food at benjarong a year ago, I found myself in love again with Asian food. This time I even learnt how to use chopsticks and it was a different experience for me. Everything we ordered was amazing, starting with the lotus stem which is a must try to the maki platter to the dumplings platter and chestnut rolls. The staff was courteous and professional in their service and the food was coming to our table without much delay. I wish I had not overloaded on the deserts because I wanted to eat more but the deserts were amazing. This was a wonderful experience and I'm very sure I'm going to be back again for more.

Love the foods specially platters and i loved the decrotation of the food when it came to the table. Had one of the best dim sum in Chennai. Highly recommended the Assorted Non-Veg Dim Sum. The flavours are so authentic and it really captures the real East Asian essences and flavour. Price wise is a bit high compared to others but still worth the price.

Rice crackers - Oh WOW!! Perfect snack to start the meal with, very crispy, and with the 2 dips (One thick and spicy, the other watery and sweet) this was on-demand 🤩
Tom yum soup - Spicy and strong chicken soup with so good lemongrass flavors (topped with kaffir leaves); the signature Thai flavor was amazing but the meat was mediocre 😌
Gomai - Supposed to be sweet spinach salad but this was celery; crunchy and seasoned well with sesame dressing, GOOD 🤔
Chicken satay - Not the best and had high expectations of a Satay; the umami flavor was saturated well inside the meat, juicy but the meat was not cooked to perfection, MEH 🙄
Bite-size corn fritter balls - SO DAMN GOOD!! Crunchy on the outside while soft on the inside, the oriental sauce with it was spot-on as it elevated the sour flavor along every bite 😍
Tofu lantern chili and peanuts - The best tofu which was freaking soft and just melts in your mouth (braised in Chinese wine so the natural umami kick); tossed and sautéed very well in chilies and peanuts; EXTRAORDINARY flavor 🤗
Chicken fried in dried red chili and garlic - Similar to the tofu but this one had a strong fragrance to it from the burnt garlic & spice; the meat was well cooked which went great with the spicy peri-peri dip, similar to a popcorn snack 😄
Miso broth Ramen bowl - Japanese style soft ramen in soybeans & rice broth, topped with veggies and smooth silken tofu; very strong umami taste with the soy aroma dominating all around, not sure why it was a cold noodle but the broth added good spice to the bowl 👌
Fried rice with Thai yellow chicken curry - Very disappointing fried rice with a stench smell to it. But, the Thai yellow curry was the best I had in recent times; sweet from the coconut and strong from the lemongrass; fragrant from the basil, this had well-marinated and perfectly cooked chicken, WOWOW Curry 😘😘
Hakka noodles with stir-fried vegetables (with crunchy almonds) - Stir-fried noodles tossed in Hakka sauce and loads of veggies (or meat). Yet again, the meat was a disappointment since it was hard in spots and wasn't cooked to perfection 😑
The gravy was soupy and very well done with exotic veggies and strong garlic, soy sauce, and crunchy almonds, It's an INTERESTING combo!!! 🙌
Coconut and palm sugar ice cream - YAYYYYY taste with evident coconut texture and sugar kick; soft, no crystallizations, melts slow but hits hard on flavors, GOOD!! ☺️
Ambiance/ Price:
Their ambiance is always positive for them since they are decorated with native paintings and embellishments all across the place. Their service was spot on with quick attention to detail and were courteous enough to take feedback for their dishes which didn't strike home-run.
Table booking is recommended but we went on a weekday, was empty and the walk-in did well. Valet parking is available with decent parking space underneath.
When it comes to the price part, they are quite expensive and one might re-think the prices for individual dishes. So, I'd recommend trying out their buffet where you get to try all their assortment under one standard menu (Card offers from various banks would be useful).

First we were served with some complimentary crackers/papads which were good.
Next we ordered some sushi and the Dimsum platter. Sushi was good..but not the best I had.
The Dimsum platter was absolutely delicious. One of the best I've ever had..so highly recommended with the side sauces/oil which are served.
For the mains we had pad thai and Goreng. Pad Thai tasted good...but I felt like the soy sauce was used more and it lacked a bit of that original Thai flavour.
Goreng was good and was served with some crackers, skewers.
Ambience and service was good, no complaints.
Overall a good place to try some pan asian/thai food. It's on the pricey side but worth it if you want to try Thai food or if there is some ongoing offer.

It was one of the most happening places in town a few years ago. Getting a table on weekends was next to impossible. Even weekdays were tough.
But when we walked into Mamagoto on KNK Road on a Saturday night, the crowds were sparse. One wonders if there is a wave of customers who make sure they're seen at the glitzy places in town for a few short months and then they disappear to make their presence felt in another zone.
The staff still make valiant attempts to capture the vibe of the past, asking if we had reservations and being quite helpful throughout. The menu thankfully has the same vibrance. And so do the walls packed with frames of kitschy art. There are practically no empty spaces. Even the ceiling has rich bursts of colour.
We started with the Crystal Dimsum Veg. The stuffed vegetables were visible under the glistening skin of the dimsums. And with the variety of sauces, you could make it sweet, salty or spicy. A good beginning
We progressed to the Crispy Lotus Stem. Different from the version available at other places. This was dry and crisp, not sticky. The sauces again allow you to alternate the experience
And then the main course - Stir Fried Udon Noodles Vegetables. Thick noodles with loads of broccoli, mushrooms and exotic vegetables. Both filling and flavorful.
Finally , the chunky Caramel Sponge Cake With Toffee Sauce. Not distinctive but above average.
The food still sings but the audience seems to have melted away. Which is a pity because Mamagoto is still a lovely place to sit back and stare at the walls or the ceiling, with the vibrant colours that vividly break through
We had a great time! the staff were very friendly and nice to us and the food was also very good. The only complain that I have is that when my order “Spicy Ramen Bowl” was served it wasn’t hot anymore :( but apart from that food was exceptional and love the ambience too. 4/5 experience
We got delivery orders of the mamas spicy ramen, tom yum shrimp soup, and sour and pepper soup! They were all delicious, the mamas spicy ramen wasnt too spicy, but the sour and pepper soup was very spicy
Tried Mama spicy Ramen bowl and Java grilled fish. The Ramen bowl was ok. Java grilled fish tasted good. The ambience was awesome.
The ambience was great. We booked tables through Zomato Gold reservation. Not much crowded though (may be due to weekdays). Staffs were polite and the service was good. Will recommend to try authentic Asian cuisine.
This place is everything you need for a good dinner. Great Asian ambiance with all the funny posters. Service is great and most important, the food was amazing.

Chicken Karaage
Oldschool gyoza
Stir fried chicken noodles with black bean sauce
California sushi
Ebi fry sushi
Chicken katsu sushi
Caramel cake
All the dishes had amazing flavours and we finished it all! Only feedback is maybe to make the sushi rice a bit less sticky and soggy, but the flavours were very good!
Small advice: get the virgin mojoto!!

Had their pad Thai, crispy lotus stem and dim sums!! Loved all their dishes. Experimented with a wasabi drink which wasn’t great. Definitely a must try if you love Asian food 🤤🤤 Their complementary chips and sauces tasted yummy as well. Prices are a little on the higher end, but a great experience overall.
