Visited Kipling Cafe recently for a family get together. We booked two tables, and was having lip smacking starters we loved the Chicken Soup, malabar fish masala, fish and chicken chilly as they tasted so yum along with liquor. The Drunken Noodle and 4 Cheese Pizza's taste were Outta the world.
We loved the way resturant manager arranged and managed our visit as we made special' arrangements.
Throughout our time at the cafe Mr.Vasudevan was our attender and was very polite, charming and professional, he was very keen on listening to our demands and provided the same.
We spent close to 20,000 at the place and leaving
with No Guilt ! best food, and good liquor satisfies Soul so our wallets cry less, it's a good place to spend with family or as a couple.. the waiters were cool and understanding !!

After long time i visited a place with my wife. We ordered two pizzas and a garlic bread. We spoke to chef "Mariappen" and he made a pizza for us which was excellent. But garlic bread could be better, size of bread were not good. "Mr. Raj" from f&b service department took care of ua well. Service was good. one more guy was there i forgot his name, he did well also. Must visit this place. Keep it up guys. ❣️❣️❣️❣️

Got the Hawaiian and kipling special pizza. The team was kind enough to customize veggie option for Hawaiian pizza. Ordered through restaurant directly and we got delivered promptly. Both the pizzas were yummy. Toasty crust with so much cheese. The margarita one was family favorite with extra garlicky flavor. Go for it if you like garlic and cheese combo. Hawaiian pizza also tasted delicious. The cheese layer is thicker than crust. Pizza cravings done right. Thank you for serving us.

Kipling cafe located in ECR is definitely a great place to chill around with friends. Their outdoor seating and the wind with good food gives you a nice vibe.
Tried their French fries which was great the quantity was good too..
The pizza was again good and tried their opera dessert which was okayish.

Such an amazing place with a peaceful environment. The service was quick, the staffs were friendly. Probably the most bestestttt pasta I've ever had ❤ Highly recommend this place.
I was amazed by the ambience of this place, particularly the lighting. Perfect place for a romantic evening. However, there are a limited number of vegetarian options. Having said that, the taste of every item that we ordered was delightful.

This place is ideal to have a romantic dinner at, with it's absolutely beautiful outdoor ambiance. With soft music playing in the background, and good food, this sets the mood for a beautiful date with your partner. It has a really good menu, with a lot of options. They serve some pretty delicious dishes, and some of the dishes we had tried from this place are:
1. Lemony Mushroom Pasta 😍🤤
This parmesan cheese overloaded pasta with button and forest mushrooms is delicious. Bell peppers add color to the whites of the cheese sauce, and give it a beautiful look.

It's got a good amount of cheese, and had a good blend of nuttty mushroom and creaminess flavours. Though, it was a little bland for my liking. Nonetheless, the presentation was on point.

3. Fungi Risotto
This is by far one of the best risottos we've had so far. It was so rich and creamy and was bursting with cheesy flavours. The rice was cooked to perfection, and it as a whole it was simply heavenly. Will definitely recommend this particular dish to all, especially to cheese lovers.

The cheescake was not at all delicious (as they call it).
Also, they didn’t ask for a flavour and added whatever they wanted to.

I had Thai green curry and rice. It tastes good except for the green peas which had a slightly bitter seeds, otherwise the curry was great.We also had baked pasta which was average. The oera cake is delicious but would have been softer at the base, still it tasted good.

Kipling is an experience in itself. From the tropical island vibes to the amazing Italian food, we spent around 2.5 hours easily. The beach is close by, just a 2 min drive, the service is good and the experience is A grade. The ambience is my absolute favorite. The only gripe, if I may have any, is the lack of many options for vegetarians. If you wanna chill and spend quality time unwinding, then go here. But go in the afternoon...
Went on a weekend evening and it was crowded. The outdoor seating was comfortable and had nice ambiance, polite staffs. Spinach Ravioli was outstanding. Noodle was too good with lot of vegetables. Garlic bread was too hard and have to improve on the taste and quality.
Overhyped place and Price is costly. It is good to hangout with friends when money is not considered most.
This is a very quaint place with great food, drinks and excellent service. The staff are very courteous and caring. This is a must visit if you are in this part of the town.

They had zomato 1+ 1 on food hence we got discount on a starter.
We mainly had starters , drinks and desserts.
Starters we had French fries , Thai dish where vegetables were tossed in a chilly basil sauce , Panner Tikka and a salad with burglar wheat and pomegranate.
Dessert we had opera - a French cake with coffee flavoured cream .
The Thai starter was amazing .
French fries and Panner Tikka no complaints and finally the salad surpassed my expectation .the salad had pomegranate, pineapple , gunner and bugluar wheat. Crunch and juicy it was awesome!
Dessert had cofffee flavour and the cake was soft flavourful and absolute sin!
Drinks were fine nothing special but the cocktails need more attention as the group felt it was pretty light.
I was waiting since a very long time to visit this place. Overhyped yes. But impromptu service. A little expensive too. Beautiful ambience. Would be amazing to go out with a group of people.

It’s a perfect date spot. They have a candlelight setup and it’s really amazing. The lighting and the ambiance is perfect 🤩 Coming to the food, we had their chicken lasagna, drunken noodles and guava punch. Honestly, loved everything ♥️ The best lasagna I ever had. Their service was also good and it was kinda a peaceful spot in a crowded area.

Good ambience, you can choose to dine in a hut, or under the fan. The service is a bit slow, but a great place to hang out with friends and have long coversations. Just a road away from beach, so after a long lunch, can walk it up to the beach. Green thai curry and pannacotta were both delicious!
The place has an amazing vibe . It's a perfect place to hangout with friends and family . The menu also offers a lot of variety . I recommend visiting the place more towards late evening time .

We had an amazing team lunch over here.. The service speed was above the expectations and the quality was also really good… the ambiance was silent and you will not hear any horn or traffic sound.. Great place to go on a date I guess :p Not so expensive, but bit on the higher price side only..
This is one of the must go place in Chennai. Located in the ECR side. Very nearby to the ECR beach but this cafe does not have the beach access. Overall ambience and food are great. Service is also prompt. Surely visit again.

We went to kipling cafe for my husband's birthday dinner.
Ambience was good with IPL live screening🏏 (without audio). But as it was a summer night and weather was too bad there wasn't much of air flow (except for the hut which had a fan).
So choose wisely if you are visiting during summers!

I use to visit this place often but then stopped visitingbecause the food was not great!! Recently had my birthday surprises planned their, it was amazing! They had simple and beautiful decoration done! With the food combo! The combo includes-2 soups, 2starters, 2main course, fruit juice and a dessert

Located towards the beach, Kipling Cafe welcomes you with charming hut-style cabanas decked up with dreamy white curtains and lit by candles all around.
With the advantage of being along the coast, it is not a bad idea for a lunch date either as their inside seating and rooftop dining has got you covered. You can enjoy your meal with a view of the beach from their small but lovely rooftop space and sip on all the cocktails you want.
As for the food - the starters from their continental menu are stellar.
The place is easier to find and the parking is done on the roads. The service here is extremely slow . The order is taken slowly so was the service . The AC is not available. I don't think everyone can take Chennai's heat in April, May and June.
We ordered veg and non veg pasta along with some mock tails, taste was also good 😊
Good cafe to hangout and great for taking pictures. You can enjoy the beach 🏝 on your way back.
As we had dinner there, we escaped the heat of the noon, but had very poor lighting. You gotta reserve and book earlier for the best seats. Perfect ambience for date nights and celebrations. They do the decorations too.
The food was alright, but the service was poor. Several times they had misplaced the orders. I had requested just another candle but never got one. I even received a small slice of lemon only after asking multiple times for it, and by then I had finished half of my food. My favourite was the tom yum soup. Other than that I wasn't satisfied with the food. Panko Fried Fish is just fish n chips but without flavour.
They have great choices for alcohol.
Also, they have a proper parking space.
Booked a Birthday Surprise candle light dinner for my Husband. The arrangements were perfect and we had a great time.
