We had rajasthani spl thali, different kinds of rotis and spl veg curry.
Jowar and bajra roti were simply perfect. Not burnt and not dripping in ghee or oil. Just perfect. This is the place to try different kinds of rotis in winter.
Thali was very good. Pulkas, rice, papd and curries were unlimited. Rice was basmati. Portions were very nice. Even ice cream that comes with thali was big and had drugs fruits.
Staff attitude is very nice. They are eager and service is very good.
Little crowded.
Ambience is ok. It is not a cramped place.
I wish they could open a branch in OMR.
Chas is simply excellent. Better if they can increase their glass size.
Got their rajwadi thali and daal baati for parcel.loved their soft rotis and sabzis.
Brilliant tasting food, consistent every single time over years!
This is my place to go when I want to have home cooked Rajasthani Thali.
Once you enter it strikes you with simple and clean ambience. The most important thing in any restaurant is cleanliness and I would rate it very high.
The glasses are clean and so is the water pure to drink. Now for the Thali it costs 195 with GST for a simple Thali where phulkas are served unlimited with kadhi , dhall and 3 subzis. Cant ask for more. They ensure not too much of masala is put in but enjoy their ghee s.
Try their orange ice cream for dessert along with Mal pua lip smacking.
For me its a regular go to place for good proper meal. Thank you
Amazing service. Fast even if the place is crowded and yummy dishes and steaming hot ones. Loved it
Best Rajasthani food served here. Usually crowded and takes 10 minutest to get a table here.
Ordered Rajasthani thali, which is the famous dish here. And also ordered Roti and Methi Matar. Service is quick. Would surely recommend to others and would visit soon again
This is Rajasthani Thali which consists of traditional Rajasthani dishes served in a platter. In the centre is the phulka which was the highlight of the platter which was served with different sabzi which gives you a taste of Rajasthan.Second dish is Dal Baati Churma which is a most famous dish in Rajasthan where the dough balls are served with hot dal. This dish is a must try if you wish to taste the real Rajasthani cuisine. You could visit this place if you want to try traditional Rajasthani foods and the bread varieties are really good in here!
Very simple ambience, simple menu, good quality food. Would have visited many times, have not got disappointed. It would be great if you have put a poster of what subji you server every day so that it will be easy to choose Special or ordinary Thali. Thank you.
Went here this afternoon for lunch with mom and dad. We had 1. Rajasthani thali 2. Sarson ka saag, 3.yellow daal tadka, 4. tomato soup, 5. masala papad, 6.gulab Jamoon 7.phulka 8. Makki ki roti. Bill came to 849. Total value for money. Loved the tomato soup, in particular.
Loved the food.
U can eat as much as. It is a crowded place you will have to wait for 15-20 mins for the table especially at night time. But afternoon time table are always available. And taste is well really good.. and the variety too.
Had the 300 rupees thali. There was a dish based of besan which was the exclusive subjee for this thali along with aloo ka paratha. They also served corn and panner which was nice and aloo subjee which was ok. I was a little disappointed with the dessert option. It was a questionable ice cream flavours which didn't get along well with the rest of the meal.
We found this hidden gem on Zomato while searching for a vegetarian thali. They have an excellent rajwadi thali.we had to wait 30 minutes to get a table, that shows their popularity. The service is quick and efficient.Highly recommended.
Food is good, and you can feel the taste, since it's tssty we have to be early as it is crowded, but it's worth the wait and price is ok, not too high.
Wish they should be maintaining the same standard.
Looking for best north Indian thali in annanagar this is the best place... Decent place with neat seating..
Food:
Special Rajasthani thali .... unlimited.
Starting with flavored butter milk...
Thali includes a sweet, aloo paratha, bajra rooti, phulkas , three different sabzi , dhal, kadi , dhahi, paapad, rice , ice cream and pickle
Aloo paratha was filled with aloo and topped with ghee tasted good with their pickle and ghee
Bajra rooti was too dry.
Phulkas was too soft and drenched with ghee ..
Three subzi .. Aloo subzi a regular subzi
Paneer subzi was good with their authentic
Taste.
The other vegetable subzi is with double
Beans.
They change the subzi menu everyday.
Dhal and kadi tastes good with rice.
They serve thick curd.. and gulab jamoon was yummy.. bit sadly it's limited..
I wanted to try their Rajasthani thali.. but unfortunately couldn't go their ND hog.. so I ordered through Zomato.. the packing was too good, not even oil spilled out of the bag.. the food was amazing , what I loved from thali is bajra roti and three different varieties of subzis.... The chaas is filling... Would definitely visit for their thalis
The food was simple and good. I loved their MANGO ice cream very much. Unlimited spl. Thali was 300rs. A bit expensive for what they serve. But yes the food was tasty. Good one ✌🏻
Very good restaurant that I see in Chennai for north indian specially for people who belong or like rajasthani or punjabi food this is the best place.
I have been coming to this restaurant from 2008.food quality then to now not changed.always been best place if I think to dine out.cheers to owner who has been successfully maintaining the quality of food. Ok
This is a Classic place for amazing Vegetarian Indian food that reminds of your Home. Their unlimited Thali's are Set! The staff members are so committed & dedicated in serving delicious food non-stop. They are so consistent for ages and to them providing people with Best Quality food is beyond anything in their life. Go with good appetite, you will walk out happily.
A real bliss for the north Indian looking for rajasthani food.authentic and balanced.we had ordered rajwadi and special thali the difference was of one ice cream , aloo paranth and gatta sabji.. gatta sabji gets u nostalgic.total value for money.
Best part is everyone speaks hindi so no language barrier.
For south Indian friends you can ask for ingredient and staff is courteous to guide you.they mean business so it's like eat and go.
Great for family out. In all paisa vasool
Such a nice place ! It gives the real taste of Rajasthani dishes ! Loved it . Services were good . Enjoyed the taste of butter milk . A must visit place for Rajasthani and north indian dishes lovers .
If You are in Chennai, searching for a rajasthani flavour food, then u must visit this place. A place full of rajasthani food and taste. Please try that maharaja thali once and u will love it.
Tried their Rajwadi thali. Pretty standard fare served hot. The staff are business like and don’t waste time with courtesies.
The restaurant is on the 3rd floor served by a lift. One enters the restaurant, is ushered to an empty table by one of the staff, shown a menu, order taken, food served quickly and bill fetched with alacrity. Next customer please. Thanks for your custom.
Staff with the liquid part of the Thali serving daal and kadi, curries and rotis come by regularly to ask if a refill is needed.
The place is reasonably well lit, tables spaced decently and food served hygienically.
Despite the lack of personal touch the food is tasty.
I liked their message asking patrons to not waste food.
Parking isn’t an issue and the lunch is value for money.
Hands-down I can say that Shri Rajasthani Dhaba serves the best Rajasthani food in town. My family has been having food from this place for many years now and we have not gotten disappointed even one day. We have always ordered their Thali to go and it comes with basmati rice, dal, khadi, rotis laden with ghee, 3 kinds of sabzis (that changes every day of the week), two kinds of pickle and roasted papad.
Their Sabzis are top notch and my favorites out of the Sabzis that I have had are aloo, paneer, baingan and bhindi. These go so well with the rotis that just drip with ghee. Dal and rice is also a very good combination with the papad.
On the whole this is just the perfect place to have some soul stirring Rajasthani thali!
Visited this place yesterday ! What flavours, so yum ! Authentic Rajasthani cuisine. Would recommend the paranttas, paan ice cream, rajwadi thali and gatte ki sabzi. Must try !
This place in anna nagar is a paradise for the Rajasthani and vegetarian food lovers around.
Been there almost 4 to 5 times, and never they had disappointed in terms of their lovely thali they serve.
Tried their thali versions and loved their whole spread, especially their phulka, the sides they serve are the best. The butter milk is so good too.
ambiance: 4/5
food, taste: 5/5
service: 3.5/5
cost: 3.5/5
I ordered for aloo matar gravy but i got an aloo gobi masala instead,i requested for some extra mirci kutti but they dint send any,the rest of the food was as delicious as ever.

Had been to this place 3-4 times, the ambience is decent. Food is authentic and homely. The thali's are great. Paratha's are also good. The service will be little slow.
Overall excellent place to have good rajasthani food.
This is a place you gotta visit to experience true north Indian cuisines .. Well located in Anna Nagar , Worth the money , their special thalis are delicious..🙂
Food was great as always !! Must try: Malai Koftha. Just one tip though : this is a high in demand place. So, if you're ordering food, order one hour in advance. It takes close to an hour to get delivered!
This place in shanthi colony provides authentic rajasthani food! I chose the rajwadi thali which had bajra ki roti, ghee phulke, matar ki sabji, aloo ki sabji, bhindi masala, chaas, pickle, ghee rice, kadhi, dal, papad and not go forget the delicious halwa ! They have other thali options too but this is my fav ! Yumzaaa
Price - 400/- for two
Taste - 4.5
This place is located on the third floor in Anna Nagar Main Road and a little tuff to spot and park cars. Okayish simple ambience and excellent food. Quick service and the prices are very competitive. Thalis are worth it. Feels like eating Ghar kha Khana.
I am a regular customer ..infact more than that its like my place where I have had food here innumerable time's .... Though few items in the menu are fixed, regular and standard , the taste and home made style made it more craving.... The menus like potato curry, dal, besan with capsicum are very much part of the daily menu.. yet they tastes awesome , delicious and taste the same for many years ... The chaanch, sweets, papad needs a special mention ....lovely place for a good lunch or a dinner ....
Its like eating yummy healthy food outside but still feels like home food.Authentic taste, pure ingredient, quick service, very reasonable. The chaas is tasty and has no artifical ingredients. The curd is thick and has the freshness of home made curd.Kadi is one of the tastiest with the right balance sour n spices which most other places get it wrong.
Great food and service. The Phulkas were served at apt intervals. Ambience was okay. Prices are nominal. Overall great experience at affordable price range.

Serves really delicious food for a very decent prize . The thali's are a worth to try .so are the other dishes . Ambience could be improved .but food and taste are fabulous . Worth it completely . A must try for all north indian food lovers .
Go here if you want only authentic Rajasthan food.
I'm in Chennai for business and I totally love this place. Ordered masala papad, phulka, rajma and kaju panner butter masala with chaach. Loved everything. Plus the prices are reasonable.
Food- 5/5
Service - 5/5
Ambience - 4/5
Would visit again and again
I got this Special Rajasthani Thali , its Priced at Rs.300 , Exclusive of Taxes , and it has a variety of dishes , The quality is Good , People who like simple food would love it , The Food was not spicy or had lot of masala ,
The Items Marked in the Menu with (*) Mark , were given In 1 quantity like Butter milk , papad , Ice Cream , Sweet (I got Rasgulla) & Curd - Rest all items are served generously .
The Ice Cream was also good , it had a unique taste .
Ambiance was ok , I went on a Holiday , So There was rush in the restaurant , Many People waited inside for table to get allocated to them , I had to wait for 20 mins or so .
Overall it was a good experience.
Craving for some kind of North Indian Food in Anna Nagar, I came across the restaurant in Zomato. The first challenge - Find out where it actually is.
It takes quite a bit of walking around in circles, and a lot of craning your neck over the trees to finally see the board inviting you to the 3rd Floor but all the appetite you developed will be satiated well
In terms of preparation, the food is served warm and fresh. Not the best Roti and Dal that I have ever had but one of the best in Chennai
Pros: Gives you a good glimpse of North Indian/Rajasthani dishes
Cons: Minor issues with table cleanliness
Special Attractions - Dal Baati on weekends
PS - Price slightly steep if you want to be a regular but if you really can't do without Roti everyday then go for it
Small nice place. Very good delicious tasty simple food. Bhendi fry Khadi and Phulkas are awesome. Been there to the restaurant 4 to 5 times.
Amazing Food every time I dine here. Been a regular visitor for the last 18 plus years. Great service with finger licking food. Friendly owner. Must dine place.
speed delivery.. awesome service by the delivery guy ..so humble
We Ordered the Rajwadi Thalli and It was worth the Money.
We got Three Types of Sabzi :-
1. Aloo Tomato Masala.
2. Peas Masala.
3. Cauliflower Masala.
After this We got Phulka and Bajra Roti (it was kinda hard) and Buttermilk was Amazing Freaking Good and Rasgulla.

This place is a boon to north indian in Chennai. I visited it first time way back in 2007 , I was pretty homesick and decided to find a good north indian restaurant to my surprise I found this place. I loved the food. after that day I have been here like several times and this place has evolved exponentially in terms of food, service variety and never compromised on the quality and taste. One of the best place to have thalis.
We took advantage of the 25% off offered via Zomato and ordered the only thali that was available that day - The Special Rajasthani Thali. We usually get the regular thali, so this was a royal treat indeed!
The special Rajasthani Thali includes6 phulka, 1 bajra roti, 1 aloo paratha, basmati rice, dal, kadi, 4 subji (the traditional aloo subji, the channa subji, cauliflower subji and the last was gatta subji (a Rajasthani specialty made out of cubes of boiled besan flour), 1 sweet, 1 abu ghatta ice cream, 1 papad, salad, 1 glass of buttermilk, 1 cup of curd and pickle. Whew! A substantial meal indeed.
To this order we added extra phulka and Gatta Subji.
Their phulka is the best out there. Fresh, soft and with a generous spread of ghee on top. I have eaten 8 of them straight when dining in, and I am a very moderate-eating vegetarian, so that gives you an idea as to how light and awesome they are!The bajra roti is great as well. The subji in general is good, albeit on the (really) oily side, which seems to be quite common in Rajasthani cuisine. So, if you are ok with the oil, you can really enjoy this meal. Their palak-based sabji and the one which has paneer, baby corn and colored capsicum are our family favorites. Both, the dal and the kadi need special mention.
The sweet was a halwa made of channa dal, ghee and nuts. It was superb. The abu gatta ice cream is loaded with nuts and is rich and delicious.
Their orange ice cream, which comes in an actual orange peel is a must-try.Their ghee-dripping, piping hot malpua is another must-try.
Their jaleera pani is the perfect accompaniment to digest all this richness. My only hope is they use bottled water for this.
One of the best value for money restaurants out there. Special kudos for clean utensils and surroundings.
The only reason I docked a star is because they charge Rs.50 for delivery, which is too much. We are located hardly 1 km away. Also, this meal came in so many plastic containers that considering our environment, it become a real deal-killer. So, if the restaurant could come up with some bio-degradable containers, it would be worth the packing charges, in the hope of saving our planet. Until then, better to go for dine-in.
Went today for lunch and ordered special rajasthani thali. The food served was amazing and the spice was also very less thereby even kids can enjoy the food. Roti aloo paratha(limited) and another kind of roti made of bajra was served also with four subji dhal and khadi. All the dishes were served hot always and the staff were so kind and kept refilling whenever the plate gets empty. Rice and dahi is served at the end. The dessert include sweets and ice cream which was delicious. Spl mention to the malpuwa it was yummy. Overall a wonderful experience of trying a different cuisine.
All dishes we ordered were tasty.
Phulka - tasty.
Gobi mutter dry - tasty. Sufficient quantity. Can easily manage 2 phulkas. Correct spicing.
Mutter paneer pulav - tasty. Correct spicing.
Abu gatta ice cream - tasty. Good flavour.
Pulav was a bit costly.
Nothing to complain. Good service. But we went early.
Will visit again.
Highly recommended.
I ordered special rajasthani thali tat came with two sweets, lassi, roti, stuffed parata and 3 veggies with 3 gravies along with pappad and rice .. It is an unlimited me and they keep filling wen the quantity gets reduced from the plate .. I really liked the serving and the taste of each items in the plate.. It comes wit affordable cost.. Do try ts out
Starter: Masala papad : Good
Aloo and Paneer paratha : Tasted very good
Shahi paneer : Very good
Paan Ice cream: Tasted very good
Orange ice cream: Orange ice cream was inside original orange skin, Tasted very good
Very good tasting restaurant
Rajasthani Dhaba provides delicious food!!!! One has to definitely have their food, especially their thali...Thali usually has bajra roti, phulka, rice, papad, salad (cucumber and onion), sweet (kheer), buttermilk (chaach), 3 vegetables (aloo, gobi, hari tamatar), daal and kadi.
Once you reach the location in Annanagar (2nd Avenue), you have to crane your neck as far back as it will go to see it the sign on the third floor. Once you find it and reach the restaurant, you will notice that the ambiance is unpretentious but comfortable and clean. However, we are here not to relax and pass time, but to have a meal. The food, believe me is simply amazing. Their pure vegetarian menu features Punjabi dishes as well as Rajasthani fare and offers a fairly good variety.
On a friend's advice we went for the thali. The "Rajasthani" thali, seemed too simple, while the "Special Rajasthani thali," looked too elaborate for senior citizen appetites. The "Rajdhani Thali which is slotted in between the other two was what we opted for. The food was really good. The bajra rotis and phulkas were very good as was everything else on the thali. The three vegetables, made in the Rajasthani/ Gujarati style, were excellent and I particularly loved the potato and capsicum dish. All members of our group kept asking for refills and all of us, including a hard core meat eater like me, thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
The service is good and the prices are very competitive. Parking is a bit of a problem.
I order minimum 3 times a week. The most authentic Jwar / Bajra / Maki / Missi rotis you can get in this part of the country. Sarson ka Sag also very good. Sufficient quantity. I tried subzi's also...typical Rajasthani style cooking. Rightly priced. Food quality also satisfying. Yet to try other core Punjabi dishes though. But i'm a happy customer.
delivery charges are very very high!!!
Food is damn good. I'm buying from them long. The only drawback is for 2 of my orders i ordered extra pulka with thali. Instead of 5 they have kept only 4.second time instead of 6 only 4 were there. That's very bad.
I had a sudden craving of Rajasthani food. So, I decided to go here. Although, the ambience is not very great, the food is good. And it's a very busy on the weekends. I ordered a thali. It reminded me of home. Then, I ordered Dal baati churma, which was delicious. Overall, the restaurant gives decent food, not very delicious. I would have rated it 3 stars if restaurant was located in Gujarat or Rajasthan. But since this is in Chennai, 4 it is.
Also, I was disappointed with the fact that there was no gatte ki sabzi in the thali. Which is pretty common in other Rajasthani thalis and Dal baati has to be ordered separately. Here are some photos.
this is one restaurant where u get served authentic food at reasonable price and fantastic service. whether u eat in or order out...quick and delicious 5✴✴✴✴✴
Typical Rajasthani food. Food taste was good. Quality of roti , sabzi and sweet was good. I feel cost was bit pricy. Too much hyped,so go with less expectations . But can be tried
I visited this restaurant after a long time today for lunch. I wanted to have aloo paratha as well but special thali would have been too much, so I ended up ordering Rajwadi thali. Just one word for the food here, AMAZING.
The food consisted of bajra roti, phulka, rice, papad, salad (cucumber and onion), sweet (kheer), buttermilk (chaach), 3 vegetables (aloo, gobi, hari tamatar), daal and kadi.
There is no limit on main course and staffs keeps a keen eye and will replenish bowls with food even before you ask them.
The ambience is not that great but just like any other AC restaurant. Simply giving it 5 star for he amazing quality of food they serve.
Whilst my initial impression of this restaurant was not that great, it drastically improved as the time went by. Upon entering, you would not be greeted with anything special or unique. The place is bare with the essentials but then in came the food. This is the one place that I would recommend every person visit just to taste the thali that they offer. The taste is awesome and the spread is great. In my opinion this is yet another example of not to judge a book by its cover. Totally recommended.
Good food. Taste was very different from regular Punjabi style.Dal makhni was great...Special corn panner cauliflower mix veg Sabzi was Ok, little oily. Phulka was super soft and awesome. Pulao was also good.
It was like a treasure hunt game to find this restaurant and then finally I found this place on the third floor of a complex where there are was a board visible with the name on it ..Phew ! Took a hell of a time 😬
Location - Google it and follow the route ..the restaurant will be seen on the left side of the complex. This place is huge crowded always ..So you have to wait for a long time.
Ambiance - It's simple, Just they have renterd a floor. The restaurant is maintained clean founded always crowded.
Food - We ordered a Special Rajasthani Thali which included everything like almost and was super tasty.
The sabzis are flavourable with the rotis and had some lipsmacking food.
Service - I found it slow a bit as the restaurant is totally crowded and waiters are always found busy serving.
VFM - Pure VFM but I request them to free the chaas item which was superb 😍 It would attract more customers and goodwill will be increased.
Delicious food like home, yumee...
would love to have the parathas with see curd / raita
