An excellent place for authentic Asian cuisine.
We had a great experience here. The hospitality was amazing. This was our first time trying Thai cuisine. And I must say, I am eager to try more.
We used Zomato Gold and got a great deal too.
We went here accidentally and found that the place offers really amazing food on a slightly expensive side. I loved the tofu fried wrapped in bania leaves. The garlic fried rice and noodles were nice as well. I wish i had time to try many other options on their menu.
The ambience is quite calm as the crowd is limited.
We ordered
TOHU TEMPURA :must try! Would definitely order again
Steamed rice and chicken green gravy: the taste was great and I liked everything!
Courteous staff and it gives out a nice vibe.
Would I visit again? Yes
Good place to have a cozy sunday dinner with friends. The starters and soup was great. Food was good too, though the menu was not understandable, vegetarian dishes had quite some varieties. Definitely a different type of cuisine to try.
Tasty food with authentic spices and Thai palate. The sea food combo was excellent. The spiciness is done with red real chillies so you may want to remove them. Two main course were diffident for the three of us. Expensive though. Shall visit next year :-)
What to do when two best friends have the birthday at same day, we go out and celebrate by eating Thai food :) and this time we chose Absolute Thai after reading all reviews. Booked table through zomato and used zomato gold :)
Soup - Tom Kha - has good flavours with lot of vegetables and it was the best of most of the Thai places I had in Chennai.
Starters - money bag, crispy corn, tofu tempura and spring roll. All were equally good and the tempura was the best. The crispy corn and spring roll was perfect with texture and taste. Money bag alone we felt it was little oily but tasted good. And the portions were neither small nor huge and was enough for 4 people.
Main course - Ordered one basil fried rice and Thai green curry with white rice. Basil fried rice was little spicy but tasted good. Thai curry no complaints over there. And the portions were enough for again 4 people
Desserts - banana fritters, water chestnut and one rice ball in milk. Fritters was good, water chestnut and rice ball one was huge. And tasted good too.
Overall a good experience with whatever we ordered. We couldn’t order non veg since it was lord Krishna’s bday too :) will def visit to taste their non veg menu too. Price was around 2.7k for 4 people including zomato gold discount which was pretty decent.
Food - 4.5/5

For some tangy and spicy lovers !!!

The ambience is simply superb. Its very calm to dine in. They have very mild lighting and spacious dining. To talk about food on my plate was -Tod mun khao pod (baby corn starter)
This was very crunchy kind of canopes. The filling was Lil sweet and spicy and well caramalised.
-Khao phat bai krapao (basil fried rice)
The rice was perfectly cooked and it tasted medium spicy.
-Pad khimao
This is flat noodles with basil flavored and with tender pepper corn.
Over all its perfect place to dine in and to those who have feel that we cant taste Thai food... its definitely not, u must try it over here !!!

Approx - Rs 1000 for two
The chef is from Thailand and the food is very authentic and flavorful. Great food and service. We ordered Som Tam, Green Curry and Pumpkin Custard. All were very good
I recently visited this restaurant to clinch my thai cuisine cravings. I ordered four dishes Pad Thai Phak, Pad Thai Talay, Rad Na Talay and Phad Khimao. They started with complimentary Refreshment drinks (lemon and ginger) then they gave us beetel leafs with accompaniments like dried Carrot, lemon pieces, onion, peanuts, sweet syrup and chilli. Towards the end of the Main course they gave a luke warm finishing digestive drink.
I’ll just list out few pros and cons.
Pros
1. Authentic Thai Cuisine
2. Good Ambience
3. Less Crowded
Cons
1. Slow service
First time trying Thai 🙈❤
Without no expectations visited this place , Placed order with their own suggestions . The food satisfied us and morethan their food the service satisfied us .
Should visit to all smiling faces and their service .
Hav zomato gold to pay less here .
Will visit again for sure ❤
Absolute Thai didn’t disappoint at all on the Thai food 😊
Ambience - perfect 👌🏻
Staff - spot on 👍🏻
Cleanliness - clean 👍🏻
Food - delicious 😋
They had few complimentary items. Started with peanuts, lettuce & sauces to make a self serving wrap. In between the meal we were served the Asian tea. Post dinner we were given ginger-lemon juice.
I really had an amazing dine in experience. 💕
One of my fav restraints in town, friendly staff and authentic taste! We ordered the starter platter that allows you to choose any 4 started from the menu, also had the chicken green curry with jasmine rice 🍚 which was my favourite
This is really a good place to experience with unique food and style. The presentation is something we really need to appreciate. The choices are vast and cover most Asian cuisines.

I'm in love with the food here. I have eaten thai cuisine only twice before but this restaurant was truly very very good. Must try items are beef satay with peanut sauce, fish cakes, pineapple rice, steamed rice with green curry.
And the desserts were something totally unique. Water chestnut and sticky rice with mango are a must try. You just can't stop eating them.
At the end of the meal they serve some nice and soothing lemongrass tea.
It was my first time experience with the true Thai cuisine. The ambience was so soothing and calming. The aroma essences were too good. It was like you've walked into a Thai spa.
Coming to the food, they served the Miang Kham a welcome snack which is served before every Thai meal. It was absolutely an interesting welcome snack.
Coming to the starters, we ordered the absolute Thai Combo. It had 4 starters of our choice. We chose 2 prawn starters, fish, chicken. The prawns were amazing! Totally loved it.
The soup we ordered deserves a special mention. Thailand's most famous Tom yum goong (prawn) soup. We got to experience it here. I am still not able to get over this soup. Lemongrass, prawns, spices perfectly cooked into a soup. It was so flavorful. I loved the lemongrass flavor with the prawns. Will definitely go for this again!
The main course what we ordered were the usual. A spicy Thai Prawn Fried rice and a pad Thai chicken Noodles. I loved both of them equally.
Coming to the dessert, we got the Khoa niew mamung! Known famously as Thai sticky rice. Yummy. Who wouldn't wanna taste it? It's a just try guys.
Overall my favorite place for Thai Cuisine. I'll always wanna go back again. If the prices were reduced, it will definitely be my go to place. I find it a bit too expensive.
I would give it a 4/5 overall. For the food, a 5/5 for sure ❤️
Justifying it's name, it sure was an absolute Thai cuisine ❤️ Totally fell in love with the food.😍 Every dish was so authentic and tasty. The must try are the starters and the Tom Yum Soup🤩 The soup was too good! Definitely worth a try. The ambience was too calming. I found it pricey though. Overall a 5/5 for the food and taste! Cost wise I would say a 3/5.
A much awaited visit to this beautiful place left me spellbound. Let me start with the ambience. The complex houses 3 incredible restaurants and this is one of them. You enter into, what feels like, a garden with two narrow paths leading to the restaurants. When you enter, you're greeted by a wall of bright lights and another of coloured tiles. The ceiling is decorated with Japanese umbrella lights. The most courteous and soft spoken staff will lead you to your seat where a wall of the Thai script is present. Everything about this place is as enticing as it can be. You'll be welcomed with a non alcoholic lemon shot and it will be followed by a sort of palate cleanser consisting of peanuts, coconut, ginger, lemon, chilli and onions with a jaggery chutney wrapped in a leaf. You can add the contents as per your own discretion. I've never experienced such a gastronomical explosion in my mouth before and I urge you to try it with an open mind. We ordered ourselves a veg Khao Phat Bai Krapao and a Gai Kaeng Ped which are Thai basil flavoured spicy fried rice and Thai chicken red curry. The fried rice is by far the tastiest preparation of rice that I have ever had and I could eat it even without a side dish. The Thai style curries are all cooked in coconut oil and even though I'm not a fan of coconut oil, this dish was an exception to my preconceived notions of dishes made in coconut oil. As you eat, you're also served an aromatic lemongrass tea. If you're looking to have an authentic Thai gastronomic experience, definitely give this place a visit.
Great food and service, would highly recommend...Went there on mothering Friday ... Everything perfect. Such friendly staff.
Ambiance was great
We tried prawn tempura and pad thai
Thai street food available at Absolute Thai till 30th April.
The food is authentic, the ingredients are fresh and the service is excellent.
I loved the prawn wrapped with minced chicken starter, the rice noodles had the yummy succulent prawn and crispy fried tofu with panko coating was yummy!
The desserts were perfectly to my taste and healthy too. The black rice and plam jaggery surely helped in making it healthy.
Nithyalakshmi Sundar
I love thai food and not many places does it well. Absolute thai was absolutely thai as the name suggests. Good food, great ambience. Definitely going back for more.
This quiet little place tucked away in a compound (it shares with 2 other restaurants) on cenotaph road is a delightful surprise. The wonderful relaxing aroma of Lemon grass greets you as you enter. Very courteous staff. We ordered Chicken Tom Yum soup, Thai garlic fried rice with chicken and minced Chicken in hot basil sauce. The food tasted delicious and very authentic. Except they could have added a little more Fish sauce. But nevertheless, taste was superb. Fresh ingredients.
Reminded us of the food we ate in Thailand.

Current favorite Thai restaurant in the city. The service and Ambience were amazing. Every single dish ordered was delicious. A really good blend of flavours. Will definitely visit again
Best place for date and you can feel Thai here 😍 foods amazing, the way serves is so nice and very comfortable, for candle dinner perfect place
Authentic thai food at its best
We went there as 3 on a Wednesday for casual lunch. The restaurant is located near mount road. The place house 2-3 eateries to choose from. A small entrance leads to the restaurants and valet parking is a must as space is a constraint. The restaurant is simple yet eye catching, we were warmly greeted. Since it waid week, there wasn’t much crowd and hence we selected our own table. We were greeted with a welcome drink which was a lemon punch. Taste was okay for a freebie. We ordered their recommended hot and spicy veg soup. Meanwhile as the soup was being prepared, they have us their free appetiser. It was basically a palak leaf, peanuts, red chilli, dry coconut, ginger, lemon and jaggery sause. Just put everything together in the leaf and swallow like a beetle leaf. It was amazing. For the starter, we ordered combo of 4 (2 veg and 2 non veg). The dishes were spring roll, crispy baby corn, leaf rolled grilled chicken and satay prawn. The soup tasted very delicious with one tasting a lot of different flavors. Thr statters were also good. Only feedback would be thr items could be brought to the table much hotter. The main course we ordered sea food basil fried rice and tofu and basil rice. The flavors were good and no complaints. We were almost full hence skipped the deserts. We were also given a lemon grass hot water which was okay. Overall the experience was good and definitely looking forward to go there again. The staff were friendly and recommended the dishes to go for.
Quiet place! Subtle but loud decor! Amazing food, friendly staff! ♥️
Was with Thai friends and they thoroughly enjoyed the taste of the food!
The dishes I tried -
1. Tom Yum (Veg)
2. Som Tham
3. Phad Phak Rum
4. Tha Thim Grob
5. Bua Loy
Compliments from the chef, Mee Nyung and Lemongrass Tea!
Ambience 5/5
Loved the lanterns on the wall and colorful umbrella pattern on the roof
Food 5/5
Both the dishes were very savoury
Service 5/5
Courteous staff, who were also very kind and showed us the cute little Japanese space upstairs! ^.^
Starters : Chicken wrapped in Pandan leaf
Main Course : Phat seew
Very friendly and courteous staff to start off with. Make sure you try the Prawn Tempura, very crispy and tender. We tried the TomYum Soup as well, made it extra spicy and tested ourselves and must say was worth it. The Phad Kimao flat noodles was brilliant. The desserts were decent, not as good as the food.
The ambience is so peaceful and calming. Soothing music plays at the background. Food is amazing. Great flavours.
We ordered tom yum soup (prawn) and chicken wrapped in pandan leaves as starters. The soup is spicy but very tasty. Chicken was good too.
For main course, we ordered pad thai noodles with prawn and minced chicken with spicy basil rice. Both were very tasty and full of flavour.
The service was also very quick and efficient. Didn't mind paying the service charge as it was worth it. Very kind staff. Had a great time overall.
Went in with 2 of my friends in Chennai and just as the name - absolutely loved it!
Ambiance and service is top notch and you definitely see the effort with which a stand alone restaurant has been made.
Thy have some delicious Thai offerings and we were just in mood for it! Started with my all time favourite Chicken Tom Yum Soup which was delicious. Great flavours and taste.
We decided to go for their Raw Mango Salad and Chicken wrapped in pandan leaf for starters which were both delicious. The chicken presentation and smoked flavours were lip smacking.
We decided to do the burnt garlic vegetable rice along with their minced chicken stir fry for mains which I must say were fantastic. They have some nice starters and accompaniments to go with all the dishes. Highly satisfied with both their food and service and recommend it for sure! Good work guys😀😀
Absolute Thai is a Thai-themed restaurant located in Cenotaph road within the same compound wall as Cafe de Paris and Sushi in a box.
Came here for a Saturday night dinner with family.
What I ordered :
1) Tom Kha soup (a must try)
2) The Absolute Thai Combo
3) Rad na (a must try)
4) Thai Garlic noodles (a must try)
5) Tub Tim Grob
6) Guray Tod
For those who enjoy coconut flavour and a little bit of sweetness will surely enjoy the Tom Kha soup. It was really good and I enjoyed eating it.
The absolute Thai combo - it’s a really nice concept where you get to choose 4 starters (veg/non veg) of your choice. What I had - Thai fish cakes, Prawn Satay, Chicken Spring Rolls and Pandan wrapped chicken. The combo was really nice but it was served cold which made me a little disappointed.
The main food - Thai garlic noodles and Radna. Radna is gravy noodles. It’s something different indeed. In order to make the meal less messier they gave individual bowls for eating. It had a really nice flavour to it. The Thai garlic noodles was really good as well. Both noodles do not require a separate sauce/side dish to eat with.
The desserts - The tub tim gorb is water chestnut with coconut milk. It is something I’ve never had before. Truly unique but not many may enjoy it. The Gurray Tod is banana fritters with Vanilla ice cream. It was good but again was served cold.
The service and the ambience were really good. The staff were courteous and friendly.

Absolute Thai - An adeptly executed authentic Thai classics restaurant.
Aroma and the dish presentation were very refreshing and the dishes looked absolutely mouth watering. The dishes kind of sets us to good mood. The dishes were presented in such a way that it showcased us how skilled the chef was and the efforts Chef and his team has put in to make the dishes stand out.
When comes to taste I loved all the dishes.
1. Po Pia Phak, Spring rolls are a common dish throughout Southeast Asia, especially in Vietnam and Thailand. It’s a simple construction of vegetable filling wrapped in paper thin sheets of pastry, served either deep fried or completely fresh.
2. Gai Hor Bai Toey, Chicken in Pandan Leaves, this Thai dish with chicken marinated wrapped in pandan leaves steamed, then deep-fried, and serve with sesame sauce. This dish is absolutely stunning because it is more delicate in preparing and appearing.
3. Phad Khimao, the dish is saucy, oily and salty, lot of different flavours at every bite.
4. Phat Seew, stir fried noodles with some fresh vegetable and soya Sauce, very simply but yet very delicious.
The cooking process was good and the way the dishes were treated is very appreciable. All the dishes looked and tasted delicious.
Over all I am so happy that I get to eat the above dishes and I would recommend all to try it out.
So they start you off with a complimentary welcome drink which comes in a shot glass. Then comes the Miang kham, which is a leaf wrapped salad bite. You can add or leave out what you don’t want and stuff it in the leaf, It’s a one biter! Basically a savory version paan.
Coming to the food, we ordered some green Thai curry with jasmine rice, was good. And some seafood flat noodle which was really good as well. Will definitely come back for more.

I went for a birthday treat on 20.01.2019 for lunch. Oh my God the silent ambience with rope hanging yellow lights turned out to be one of the lifetime movements.
Now abt their food what to tell from their clear soup was nice, money bag starters eye catching nxt banana leaf wrapped chicken was good their sea food prawns was too good with the stirred sauce now their fried rice and noodles were also good. Deserts banana fritters was great. Over all cosy but worthy try u will fell the same.
To their service 5 out of 5. Full dedicated staff.
Been here a couple of times. Love the fact that we can have Thai food and sushi in the same place! Pad thai and tempura sushi both tasted good.
It is an excellent restaurant!!! Firstly, to commend the restaurant manager and his staff they are courteous and help the customers to pick dishes based on the taste and guiding them to appropriately to their elaborate menu. Most importantly they help us to customise the food based on the taste buds of the customers.
Food is excellent and they serve with great care and detailing to the last.
Expect and would like to cherish many more lovable experiences in this restaurant.
Any one looking for some real Thai cuisine.. Well you are here.. This place is absolute beauty.. Coming to their ambience, they are calm and subtle their service was really great especially Mr. Swami Nathan.. Please do ask for his assistance.. Their menu is vast and we took more minutes deciding on the food.. We ordered tempura prawn, phad khimao and bhai krapao gai kai..
No flaws in any dishes, it was just the way we expected it would be..
Food was fantastic, i really enjoyed it. The while ambiance was great and the food was good aswell. Definitely a must try place if you crave thai food.
My family came upon this place while looking for a pan Asian cuisine. This restaurant is nestled costly between a cage and a sushi place. A warm and cozy ambience with extremely polite and courteous staff.
One look at the menu and you know you are in Thai predominant restaurant.
We were provided welcome drinks if lemon and ginger which served as a good way to get you palate and tummy ready for a delicious meal.
You are also given a platter which is something similar to the Indian version of beetle leaf with stuffing of a variety of things. Didn't try it but my husband loved the combo of it.
We started off with Tom yum chicken soup. It was hot and spice with the aim of lemon grass blended in wonderfully with the chili. A must try for those who like it spicy. This was followed by the platter and choose the prawn tempura (just one word OMG!), The fish cakes, chicken satay and fried corn fritters. No complaints on any of the starters as all were good. With 4 pieces of each starter, they was not a crumb left behind.
We decided to go low on the mains as we were already half full by now. We ordered the fresh greens tossed in soy sauce and the regular noon spicy chicken fried rice. It was just perfect.
To reset our palate every now and then, we ordered basil sees red (a strawberry and basil based drink... Refreshing though I would have like to see few basil seeds in it), watermelon mojito and liner mint cooler.
Overall, I must say that the staff were amazing, the service was clean and quick and the food was delicious. Book a table in advance so that you don't have to wait and watch people relishing their food inside.
This place had a really good aroma and ambience. Staff were very polite and friendly. I felt that the service was a bit slow.
We ordered pad thai phak which was really great, phad khimao pak (really spicy), phad khimao gai (good taste and quantity) and khao phat bai krapao goong. It has really good options for vegetarians as well.
An unplanned visit to this Thai restaurant turned out to be a great experience. The ambience was great and the staffs were polite. Got Phad Khimao, its a spaghetti flat noodles was really good in taste. In Single plates, tried Bai Kripao Gai Kai and the omelette and chicken were served with rice. Then we had wait long for Khao phat as they missed our order. The overall food experience was good.
A quite and calm restaurant with light music which will calm your senses . But the menu will take your mind to a toss as the names of each dishes are so difficult to pronounce . Had the Phad Khimao noodles , spicy and yummy authentic flat noodles filled with corn and other veggies. Also had the Khao Phat Bai Krapao which was once again extra spicy fried rice with mixed flavours . For both the dishes no curries or sides were required. The waiter was kind enough to explain most of the dishes in the menu and even suggest the good ones .
4.0/5
An "absolute" delight. Tried 4 dishes in my last visit.
The golden money bags were crispy and scrumptious. Greasy, but that was a given since they are deep fried. The noodles in soy sauce was a bit subtle for my tastebuds so I amped it up with some chilli flakes and soy sauce.
The chicken with chili and basil was served with rice and an omelette. Would have preferred an extra omelette since it went so well with the spicy, aromatic chicken.
Ended it with the pumpkin custard served with ice cream. Mediocre dessert.
This restaurant is as authentic as a Thai restaurant in Chennai could be.
Extra brownie points for them serving 2 complimentary dishes. One, a sweet ginger and lime drink served in a shot glass type of vessel. Extremely refreshing. Second, beetle leaves (I'm presuming) with a plethora of toppings such as roasted coconut, chilli, lemon, roasted peanuts, ginger and a sweet and sour sauce to go with it. You wrap it like a parcel and pop it in your mouth. Great appetite stimulator.
The pricing is a bit steep but a must try for sure.

The 2nd best place in Chennai to have authentic Thai food ... very good ambience as well !! Their soups and noodles are definitely not to be missed !!
Best best best place ever... One of my friend had suggested me this place and i was dying to go here and finally i made it for a weekday lunch. Since weekday there was no crowd at all.
Let me start with the location first, it is very easy to spot but might be a lil confusing because they have another restaurant on the first floor which actually serves japanese food, hence to avoid confusion absolute thai is on the ground flood next to Cafe De Paris. The ambience is very cosy and comfortable, a small note the place smells of lemongrass.
We are given a ginger lemon drink as a welcome drink, after which we placed our order. We had ordered for the tom yum soup and it was the best soup i had had in my entire life. It tasted just divine. Then we ordered our main course which is red thai curry veg and jasmine rice aka sticky rice. The rice pretty much looks like the normal rice we eat, but it tastes very different and is sticky and is very filling. We had asked for the mango dessert but it was unavailable because it is based on season.
Overall experience was very good, staff were courteous and the pricing is also fine. (Zomato gold was helpful here)
Absolute Thai, Absolutely Amazing! Food is just a delight here and a Thai Culinary Celebration happens here! Full Marks to their Food. Pleasant Ambience, very Good service
The most authentic Thai place in the city. The Tom yum soup is truly authentic . The flavor of lemon grass is dominating and soothing to the throat. The other flavours blend like magic and is really delicious. The portion size is very generous. The pad Thai noodles with its spicy tangy taste is the one I would recommend most. The green curry with its coconut and lemongrass flavour with good veggies is a nice combo with the jasmine rice .Though I usually prefer garlic butter rice with it. Both the vegetarian desserts - sticky rice with mango and the one with rose and water chestnuts is a delight after meal . To end our meal we had a nice soothing tea.
Had an amazing experience at Absolute Thai. Great staff and amazing service. Before our food arrived, we were given this Spinach leaf with condiments with jaggery sauce. It was quiet unique. We ordered Tom Kha soup to begin with. It was creamy and coconuty- something worth recommending. Then we ordered money bags- they were cute dumplings packed like a little money bag- absolutely delicious and yummy. Tofu stir fried vegetables with basil leaves cane in next was equally good. And lastly Thai green curry and steamed rice. Super authentic food ! Must try definitely.
Good food.. enjoyed the ambience and the staff was courteous. Well balanced sauces is a big trick in thai food. And they managed it really well. Liked the complimentary appetizer.
As you enter you will be greeted by a strong scent of lemongrass and as you settle down you will appreciate the perfectly ambience lighting. This place serves some of the authentic THAI cuisine in chennai and its evident of the south-east Asian crowd thronging this place. some of dish names are a real tongue twisters but worry not the waiter will be happy to assist you and they have the menu numbered so you can save yourself the embarrassment of trying to pronounce THAI food names .
Soup - TOM YUM TALAY : super tangy and super tasty! a must try.
THAI RED CURRY - tastes exactly like the ones you find in Bangkok.
PAD THAI - Quite bad and i dont recommend it at all ..
Apart fromt the PAD thai all the dishes here were amazing. A must visit place for any THAI CUISINE lover .
When you miss the good old bachelor trip to Thailand and your wife wont allow you to go there anymore , this restaurant is the second best thing to having a tom yum goong in pattaya ....
I have been the place last week with my friends.
This is my first time to any place and try authentic Thai food the place was great and service is too equally. About the Food
We ordered tung tong je royal money bag for starters thai roll mix platter Next pad thi phak veg noodles for the Main and Thai green curry with steamed rice.

A niche cosy restaurant off cenatoph road near the Kotturpuram flyover.
We've been haunting this place ever since 2016 and mostly since we end up knocking at restaurant doors past 10.30pm and only very few take orders post that unearthly time for eating.
So as usual Absolute Thai did not disappoint us, although we were told that would be the last order.
So we quickly ordered really minimal coz didn't wanna waste or take back any food.
It was a simple spicy 🌶 chicken Tom yum for soup
GAi phadrik for starter ( this is chicken tossed in spicy chilli flakes and sauce with basil leaves topped)
Sticky white rice to go with Thai yellow curry - fish for the mains
As for the taste I liked the chicken.
Rest of it was ok.
Taste and quality wise #absolutethai Is always good, however this time I felt pricing is bit on the higher side.
Maybe that's because I feel now there are couple of new pan Asian restaurants that serve variety at reasonable rates that have come up in chennai.
Ambience and service are good at this place though!
This time I would rate the restaurant at 4
If you ask me new Thai restaurant or Absolute Thai, I would opt for the new one !

Located at Foodies Kitchen at Teynamet, Absolute Thai was one of the places I’ve wanted to go to for so long. As soon as we entered the ambience was beautiful but there was a strong smell of a room freshener which disturbed us. Coming to the food, I had the following:
1. Tom Yum Soup (Gai)- Classic Thai style hot and spicy chicken soup. The chili hits you first along with a tangy lemon zest kinda flavor. A good dish for people who love actual Thai food.
2. Absolute Thai Combo- This amazon platter consists of 4pcs each of Royal Money Bags, Thai Fish Cakes, Chicken Spring Roll and Prawn Tempura. This was the best dish of the lot. You’d have to love Thai food to realize that the Fish cakes are amazing. Other three were jus perfect💯
3. Pla Rad Prik- Deep fried fish with chili sauce🔥 Crispy fried fish coated with chili sauce. Really good.
On the whole a great place for people who love oriental Thai food. Cause that’s what the place is absolutely good at and that’s why it’s called “Absolute Thai”🙈❤️
Just wow... but people there won't give right information. Also give their free signature (paan)on request. But overall love the taste.......Also they have not given their welcome drink..... really sad on this.
I wanted to try Thai cuisine from a long time and this place was perfect choice.
Started with the Tom Yum soup (hot and spicy) as name it was spicy n tasty .
ordered starter Ghai hor Bai toey( chicken wrapped in pandan leaf) .. it was so yum.chicken was so soft n tender, well cooked with the perfect taste.
Main course was Thai green curry with rice and it was so good blended with perfect flavours.
Ordered dessert 'Mango with sticky rice' and it is just ok may be not my cup of tea.
Overall my first Thai food experience was good.
Can't wait to go back :)
Great food, great service, great ambience!!! An unforgettable Sunday afternoon spent here... Still remember the scrumptious pad thai noodles at this place. Hope to drop in again soon... :)
Absolute Thai is definitely a Thai food lover's paradise ! The menu showcases the definition of delicious comfort food. The food is great and it only leaves you craving for more.
Golden royal money bags: This starter was exceptional ! It's flavours are subtle, yet beautifully bursts in your mouth. One of the most remarkable dishes I've had in a while.
Tempura Prawns : Crunchy and tasty jumbo prawns. The crispy crumb fried overcoat made it Delish Max ! MUST TRY !
THAI BASIL SPICY FRIED RICE : sounds simple, but surely warms your soul. It was full of spices and flavours and the quantity was enormous for two average eaters.
MANGO ICECREAM: A great accompaniment for the rice.
COCONUT PUMPKIN CUSTARD: A great way to end our meal. It wasn't overly sweet. The custard and the melting icecream only made it better.
Service is super prompt and courteous.
Overall, it's a little expensive affair, but it's worth it.
This is my second visit hear I like the atmosphere so relaxation whatever I came to restaurant the are do good.
I had few of dishes it's so amazing like
Tom yum chicken soup, phad Thai chicken, Thai fried omelet everything goes well I wanna thanks to Mr.Hidar who giving wow experience excellent service...
Visit again....
The food was good, loved their interiors. Tempura Prawns and Tom Yum soup was delicious. Would highly recommend it to all the Thai food lovers out there.
The food especially the non veg was top class. The staff was super courteous.I used my Zomato Gold privilege over here and got a really good discount. They also gave us some complimentary stuff which was delicious btw.The welcome drink was really tasty and so was the lemon grass tea at the end .The only thing I didn't like was the veg hakka noodles they were horrible to say the least.I visited this place for dinner with my family. This place had a good ambience and some authentic Thai food. You should definitely try out the chicken in pandan leaf and the money bags.
I love Thai food, and when I found one in Chennai, I had to go try. I loved the ambiance and the soft Thai music playing in the background. They serve lotus leaves, and we add peanuts, roasted shredded coconut, onions, Thai chili, lime, and this amazing sweet sauce. It is complimentary. It was really good. For starters, we had the Prawn Bao Buns, and it came two to an order. We also had chicken dumplings, which were amazing. They are three sauces that are served on the side with it. Hot oil, sweet chili, and green onion oil. My favorite is the green onion, but adding some of the hot oil with it to eat the chicken dumpling is just perfect. I also ordered soft shell crab and OMG it was really good. For dinner, we ordered the Prawn Pad Thai. It was not like the one I've had back in the US, but it was still good. Overall, the service was great. I will definitely come back.
Ambience was simple. Food is to the costlier side. We had veg soup it was ok. Baby corn and mushroom tossed in garlic pepper, Thai burnt garlic fried rice with Thai green curry, Fried ice cream and tender coconut ice cream. Similarly like pan they serve a dish with spinach, peanut and chilli that was different and good. Fried ice cream is a must try here.
They have valet parking available.
Delicious Thai food. Loved their pineapple fried rice especially which was served in a scooped out pineapple. The Thai chicken satay was spicier than expected but we did ask for spicy option. Glass noodle soup was sublime. Excellent service: something which is becoming rarer and rarer post pandemic. Good ambience. Service team was well coordinated and cheerful.
First time I'm trying the Thai foods. Rich influence of coconut & peanuts in most of the dishes. Love the taste and ambience. Even it's a weekend didn't find much crowd. Perfect joint for hangouts with friends and couples. Once difficulty we faced was the chairs it's big and long. Every time we have to lean/push forward than only we can comfortably eat a food.
Finest Thai food in Chennai! Simply delicious 🤤 we ordered Chicken XO dim-sum, Pad Thai ,Nasi goreng and satay. The tenderloin satay was blast of flavours and meat was so tender. The dimsum was tossed with chilli Co sauce.
The Nasi goreng was served with prawn crackers and two grilled prawns. The prawn smelled raw. The pad Thai was bit sweet yet had plenty of meat chunks! The ambience was calm and wonderful customer service. The sticky rice with mango pudding was not available. I would recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic Thai food in Chennai.
If you're craving for Thai food, this place is a must visit. The staff are so welcoming and they even offer a complimentary dish for every visit. The advantage is that there's also a Japanese restaurant at the same building and they offer both the menu. So you can enjoy both Thai, Japanese and Korean food here.
Very good ambience, prices are worth food. Service was very good. Food is good
This is the right place for Authentic Thai foods in Chennai. I try most of Thai Restaurant in Chennai and this one always the best foods since they're open.
The XO Sauce so good, and now the starter plates come back again after quite sometime they stop.
The Green Curry and Tom Yum very recommended.
Tenderloin satay: Spicy grilled tenderloin on sticks. Absolutely delicious. The meat was somewhat rough but the spices on this was perfect.
Mee goreng was one of the finest in Chennai. Mostly mee goreng is cooked like other Chinese noodles recipes. But it has its own consistency. This restaurant has perfected it.
Thai red ruby: coconut milk and water chestnuts dessert. Again, it was well made.
First time Thai and I loved the whole experience. I went here with a native Thai person and the only complaint they raised was it wasn't spicy enough the Thai standards but trust me that's spicy enough! The best part was would be served with a complementary appetizer plate named Miangkum. It has Chaphlu leaves served with a lot of condiments like peanuts, chilli, lime ,ginger and a sauce made from jaggery. I loved it so much.
For main courses we ordered 3 dishes.
1. The classic Som Tum - Raw papaya Salad.
2. Spring Rolls served with sweet chilli sauce
3. Pad krapao gai Kai dao - Chicken with basil served with rice and fried egg.
The dishes were so appetizing and yum. I really loved the stir fry rice.
For dessert we ordered the Tum Tim Grob - Water chestnut and coconut milk. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! It was very authentic.
I don't think you would be disappointed with Thai cuisine because it is very balanced and rich in its own way. Do give a try to this place! ;-)
Food, ambience, service were all good.their dessert with sticky rice, coconut milk with some lichi topping is a must try. The complementary betel leaf custom stuffing options was good, funny.
Fish starter, chicken fried rice, dim sum were all good. Thanks to the staff for providing the sauces for fish starter on request
Lunch at Absolute Thai was delightful! We had the Salmon sushi (the California sushi roll I believe) which was very good! The dimsums, Tom Kha chicken and tom yum prawn soups were delicious and on point! Green curry was authentic and just soo full of flavour! Finished off with sticky rice and mango dessert and fried ice cream! Definitely coming back for more!
A neat ambiance and their foods are absolute thai 💯 👌🏻...
The food here is really amazing, the ambience is just so lovely. The staffs treat you with very good care. Must try place. Right from Soup to desert, everything is just amazing ❤️💚💫✨🔥🤩😍
Absolute Thai
When you think its time to treat yourself with some Thai cuisine then this is the place for you.
Prawn tom Kha
A creamy soup which is quintessentially thai through and through. Made with entirely coconut milk, this soup leaves you wanting for more and the mildly flavoured prawns and the rice noodles ensure you have a bit of a variation in the taste rather than the coconut overpowering the dish. Reasonably priced considering it has seafood.
XO Chicken Dimsum
XO sauce is a very spicy sauce made using seafood and chillies and is common in China and HongKong. In this dish traditional chicken dimsums are generously tossed with the XO sauce such that every bite makes you sweat and yet keeps you coming back for more. Spicy and absolutely delicious though bit heavy on the pocket for what it is.
Mango with sticky Rice
Having not had any rice for the entire meal, decided to go for a different kind of dessert which is rice cooked in condensed milk and has a thick consistency and is chewy. This is served with a thin slices of mango which complements the sweetness and has it's own tanginess too. A heavy dish which is really expensive but worth it if you are on the lookout for something different. The dish still makes me wonder if I liked it or not, so there's all you need to know about it.
Lovely, delicious food with generous helpings of vegetables. Just loved the noodles with spinach and celery. The staff- Biswajeet, Gore and others are very friendly, helpful and attentive. Keep it up!
