Currently under renovation. But still has access through side entrance. Quality of food and pricing remains the same. One of the trustworthy vegetarian restaurants. Overall rating : 3/5 Mushroom biryani : 3.5/5 Bisi bele bhath : 4/5 Dahi Vada : 3/5
This place is like old world charm I come to know that this place serves amazing dosas And it was really really good choice to have dosa here because it was out of the world. There sambar is fantastic and the plus point is the dosa they made in ghee. What an aroma I highly recommend this place
The food was perfect and tasty. They were served with minimum wait considering the fact that the restaurant was pretty busy when we came in. The service was good but could have been better. I just saw one person shuttling around attending to all the tables. This can be improved by having more waiter
I have been visiting this restaurant for ages but I never wrote about their excellent taste. If you are looking for Udipi cuisine in chennai, this is one of the must try places. Usually we order rasam vadai, curd vadai, idly and many varieties of dosa. I love their Lunch thali too. I don’t recommend
Recently last Friday we crossed out one restaurant from our bucket list which was pending for a long time and it was one the best decisions made. This place is a Veg lovers paradise. Rasa Vadai and Curd vadai is the best dishes available here and oh my they were so hot literally burnt my mouth and
If you're a vegetarian visiting Chennai, you must visit the Mathsya Vegetarian Hotel in Egmore. The restaurant offers an extensive menu of vegetarian dishes that are both delicious and affordable. The restaurant's ambiance is pleasant, and the staff are friendly and attentive. The menu includes a w
Though looked small and not so appealing at first. I wasn't sure is it a right choice to take my friends from north who wanted to taste typical South Indian meals. Man, what it delivered was complete. We were all full to the neck completely satisfied. Go to restaurant for a South Indian meals. Stand
Premium fine dining vegetarian restaurant. Amazing Amazing place for breakfast. Had Masala dosa, vada and their special Rocket dosa which was 3 foot long. The rocket dosai was 450 rupees. Dosais tasted amazing, so did their sambars and vada too. Nice ambience and service as well.
A good friend turned me on to Mathsya, telling me it was the best place to great South Indian vegetarian fare. He was right! From the classic So. Indian breakfast, to great veggie entrees, to delicious Chinese Hakka Noodles...all fabulous! I also had their special Udupi Thali, which was simply amazi

We had been to matsaya Egmore more than a dozen times and it's still one of our favorite places for delicious South and North Indian cuisine. Service was great and the ambience is good. Would appreciate if the management can improve the restroom condition as I feel it could be restored..
Great breakfast place, courteous staff, decently spread apart tables, quick service make for a good experience in one of the most congested parts of Chennai. Parking can be an issue during peak times.
Dont believe the recent fake paid reviews listed here. This place is under construction since last one month and its not listed anywhere on the business. Its definitely a great restaurant no doubt about it. I had to face the inconvenience because of the fake reviews. But looking forward to visit nex
This is again a popular Dosai and South Indian place. I ordered the litmus test dish first : idli and sambar. It turned up well. So went on to order 7-piece uthhappam, rava Dosai and ghee roast Dosai. Good stuff.
The food here was good. It's a little difficult to find. We had the podi dosai here which was really good, served with two chutneys. The mint mojito was not good at all, it was too sweet. We also had the aloo 55 and it's very yummy and a must have.
