Finally!! Finally visited the place that actually brought variety kulfi to chennai for the first time..And after visiting them after all these years i am kicking myself for delaying it for all these years..A small little cute typical kulfi place..And Service was quick and as it needs to be...
Ordered myself a basic malai kulfi and it definitely ended up being the creamiest and richest malai kulfi in comparision to other branded kulfi place...
And for the pricing it cant get better
One of the restaurant to visit in Adyar to have an amazing taste of kulfi. Gulkand kulfi taste is touched my heart. The ambiance is neat and clean. In Adyar, this is the best restaurant to have different taste of kulfi.

Best authentic and natural flavor kulfi is the main attraction of Bombay kulfi. Such a cozy and comfortable place to have ice creams. We can feel the natural flavours added to it when we taste the kulfi

One of my favourite places to visit. Just love the gauva kulfi on which the guy sprinkles salt and chilli powder. Gives us the authentic gauva taste. Other varieties arenβt as amazing as this one though.
Best kulfi place after the actual Bombay Parsi dairy kulfi that I have had. Visit the beach and stop over at this place. A taste that pleases all ages. Pretty creative flavours and all worth a try. While the cliched flavours are there, there are some Interesting resting ones like paan chili and gulkand.

We had the gulkund and sitaphal kulfi (YASS, it's in season now!!) last night. Both were so rich in flavour and had small amounts of rose petals and custard apple respectively for the natural touch that they promise.
Gulkund and Malai are two flavours that I keep going back for since their first outlet in Adyar.
Kulfi means Bombay kulfi....their guava kulfi with chilli powder is all time favorite. Get a slice or stick come out and enjoy next to beach.

The outlet is quite small and empty . Recently plenty of Kulfi shops are coming up all across chennai , Bombay kulfi were the first ones to come up . Their taste is definitely unmatched . Love their Paan kulfi , obv a fan of Paan . The natural flavor range is also too good , the tastes are almost real . Especially the tender coconut and guava .
The kesar kulfi is too sweet. The chilli guava kulfi is excellent. The spice, the sweetness is just right. The chilli guava should be a must buy.

For a Friday evening, the place was pretty vacant (Lucky us)
The ambience was cool with all quirky Hindi quotes providing a Mumbai kinda feel.
Tasted 2 varieties.
1. Tender coconut: was goood. Could feel a few coconut pieces.
2. Jackfruit flavour stole the show. Me being an ardent Jackfruit lover, the moment I tasted the first scoop, It WAS AWESOME..
I was like "Just take my money and give me another slice of that heavenly flavour :) "

Must try place for kulfi lovers. Wide range of flavours. My personal favourites were regular kesar pista and vanilla Oreo. Usually there is wait here. But worth it.
This is a tiny place at Besant Nagar, little hard to locate. Shared a guava chilli kulfi with a friend and i have to say, this is the best guava chilli kulfi ever! With every bite i felt guava seeds and it was generously topped with red chilli powder. I actually felt that i was eating an actual guava with chilli. Will definitely visit again!
Very small outlet and hard to located because it is in between many other shops. When you taste its Kulfi it is really nice. You will get lots of flavour in your mouth. When you are tried after roaming on beach or you want to roam on beach while having this, it will definately give you a more beautiful memory.

Gone there late on a Saturday, and was startled by the range of kulfis they were offering. We tried many flavours, fulfilling our sweet tooth cravings..
First we ordered Tender coconut and chilly guava, they served the guava kulfi with sprinkled red chilli powder. It was just amazing, just like the roadside guava you have.
After that we ordered Sitafal(custard apple) and black grape kulfis. We were lucky enough to have them, as they had it's last batch, because the season for the fruits had passed.
All the fruit kulfis we're very tasty, natural, with the seeds and peel off the fruits frequenting your tongue.
Atlast we took the kesar-pista kulfi home, as the craving may start anytime again. π

Went to the shop yesterdayπ...was really attractiveπ...we spent a nice time in that shop...we tried the most popular guava with chilly powder...amazing π.. the staffs (Pravin) was so good they are specially trained for this I think ππ they will make u love the shop and will turn u as their regular customer ππ... This place got some really good kulfis. The Malai kulfi is just classic. Can eat forever and would not get bored. Try guava flavour as well. It's delicious. Thumbs up Bombay kulfi !!
After a long time I tasted kulfi.. honestly the best kulfi house in town. Well suited area. The ambience wasn't that cozy but still we enjoyed it.
My favourite was Calcutta pan and mango. They were so yummmm.. I would really love to go again.

The kulfis are hands down yummmmmm! Best kulfis i have ever tasted!! Had ordered for a guava kulfi with masala, a tender coconut kulfi and a sitaphal(custard apple) kulfi. All the 3 tasted out of the world! We could taste the pulp in them which proves that the essence is not completely synthetic, they use natural ingredients.. will definitely visit again.

Bombay kulfi! Rapidly becoming one of the rising kulfi stars in town. They will have your mind blown and your tastebuds frozen with their varities of flavours. They surely are a real freezy treat to your tatstebuds and a perfect dessert to bring down the body heat π₯π. I'd personally suggest #guava and #tender_coconut, they are a must try flavours. The ambience is good during mid-day ,because they are usually crowded in the evenings. The service is quiet quick.

Went on a Monday evening. Not crowded. The outlet is quite small and had only stools to have a seat.
We had pista kulfi slices. The slices were so good and it melted down the throat as soon as it was taken in. It was my bad idea to roam around and have it on the streets, it melted down rapidly. I would recommend you to stay there in the outlet and enjoy without the kulfi being melted down! Definitely worth the money!

So much have been already told about Bombay Kulfi. In the age of frozen desserts, finding a milk only icecreams/kulfis such as this has become hard. I have tried three different flavours of Kulfi slices and all of them were stimulating and delicious. The best among them was the Guava flavoured one which comes with salt and chilli powder sprinkled on it. Yes, just like you would eat a Guava. Though I was skeptical in the beginning, it ended up being my favourite. Coffee walnut and Gulkand where delicious as well. The outlet being small, you might have trouble in finding a place to sit down.
It's just near Elliot's beach so you can't miss it. I have tried 2-3 flavours from its list of multiple offerings which are all unique and innovative. One kulfi ranges from Rs 45 to 70 depending on your flavour chosen. If you don't have much of a sweet tooth then one kulfi is enough for two people ( though I suggest don't share it's quite tasty !) Although when we went, there was an issue with quality of some kulfis. Kulfis are all brought from Mumbai and some had gone bad so n be careful and choose the right one. The Shop is small and cutely decorated but not much of seating space, so just take the stick or cut kulfi outside to beach and enjoy!
An ideal place to have Kulfi with Bombay style cool ambience right opposite to the beach and yummy to the core...I liked the multiple flavours they serve .. had a delightful experience and service also top notch with outlet team thanking us for visiting ..Bombay Kulfi rocks !!!
Kulfi is all time favourite... any time of the day. Bombay Kulfi is clean, has a long list to choose from and always consistent in its quality and taste. Place is small and get quite busy in evenings. Not an ideal place for a sit in as there is not enough stools but still a great place to pick up kulfi and hang out

After a crazy long day, simply fooling around Bessy led us to this place. We couldn't locate the entrance at first. After a while, we managed to enter the place. Small tiny ice cream place with a big heart! Their menu is quite impressive. Since there are not many Kulfi places are in Chennai, they make the best Kulfi in Chennai π€π One Kulfi and a nice long walk in the beach. Perfect evening π

Do try the Sapotta/Chikku kulfi. Try their fruit flavours. The place is very small so might have to sit out and eat but still, the kulfis are worth the effort.

I haven't much to say about this place apart from the fact that they have some whacky flavours that taste pretty good. My favourite here would be the guava flavour (with a twist), the tender coconut flavour and their Kolkata Pan flavour!
A tiny outlet located in one of the by lanes of besant nagar. It's in the same building as Tuscana. We zeroed in on the place on a late night after a failed dinner n travelled from W.Mambalam for the love of Kulfi.
Though tiny, the place was really pretty and super clean. There were a couple of chairs inside and even at that hour, we could see people piling up outside for their tiny treats :)

Tender coconut: subtle but tasty nonetheless.
Guava: served with chili powder and salt, a wondrous concoction that took me back to my school days :)
Litchi: again too subtle to get the flavor at the first bite but worth a try.
Gulkand: the sweetest of all for my tastebuds.
Chikku: the second best flavor for the night. Totally yummy!
Kesar: Authentic! But again too sweet for my liking.

We usually come to Besant nagar on weekends on busy time we haven't seen this shop earlier and now we are coming weekdays at night after 10:30pm on first time we saw this shop and my instinct says to try when we enter we found that this is best know to all. We have seen different flavours of kulfi are written in the coloured chalk piece which give some lively feeling. We were confused to choose the flavour and finally we choosed tender coconut , seasonal black grape and blueberry. Here kulfies are available in slice and stick. We tasted the real flavour of kulfi to be true. We tried many flavours after that and it was good. Now Bombay kulfi is the reason for me to visit Besant nagar. We are usually buy kulfi and go outside and sit in the roadside. Prices are reasonable. Tender coconut is must try.

Tucked into the street adjacent to Barista. It was open at midnight when we walked in. If you're a pure kulfi lover you might want to avoid the 3 in 1 flavour ones.
Visited again this place. Last time it was in Anna Nagar with family and this time with friends in Bessy. As usual, just loved the kulfi's. This time I tried something new and it was Gulkand flavour. I must say all the flavours are really good.
Special mention for the interiors, didn't notice the same in Anna Nagar branch.

We visited Bombay Kulfi on 25 Feb 17, a Saturday, and could not have been more delighted.
We tried the Tender Coconut and Guava flavours. The chilli powder on the guava kulfi forced me to transform into a hipster and say ...UH-MAZING...
I mean, it was beautiful. The chilli powder with the melting kulfi was the most serene feeling I have had. It was an orchestra of flavours.
The tender coconut is also really good. A classic creamy flavour with a beautiful after taste.

We always love the kulfi they sell. It doesn't taste like the usual kulfi we get in our streets though. This one has a different taste. A more solid kulfi. I always get a taste of milk palgoa in all the flavours. Not sure if it's just me who feels so. Their rabdi kulfi is so much on demand flavor that out of 5 6 times we went , we couldn't get it !!

But from what I have heard from a few friends of mine, it is rather an acquired taste. Either you fall in love with it or you dont like it. Reviewing this place after my ekachaka visits since it's shutter opened for the first time.
Have tried almost all the desserts in their menu which is of 3 categories. Kulfi sliced, Kulfi stick, Ice cream sliced.
Let me list few of their bests
Guava Kulfi- The chill travel of the guava kulfi along with the bursting Chilli powder and salt seasoning will just explode inside ur mouth. One hell of a creativity! Priced at Rs.75 for 100g. DroolScore-9/10
Tender Coconut Ice Cream- This one tastes so good that sometimes you may even wish to take a cool cozy ride along with the tender slices. It tastes exactly like the tender coconut. No way near or closer. Just bang on the target. Priced at Rs.55. DroolScore-8/10
Roasted Almond Ice Cream- You can actually feel the crunches of almonds, not just like that but it's real roasted aroma. Priced at Rs.55. DroolScore-9/10
Coco Walnut, Jelly Belly & Kesar Pista are few other delicacies which I can never fail to mention.
They do have Rabri for Rs.50 which you can get for Rs.30 as an add-on for your Kulfi.

Their signature kulfi is guava flavored. A must-have.

Accepting my defeat proudly, I should say BK swept me off my feet.
For starter, I had malai and kesar pista.
Right after they go into ur mouth , they melt insanely delicious and I opened my mouth to say Wow immediately.

Had tender coconut , malai , guava and Rangeela. Every kulfi's were yummy. Tender coconut was the best which had creamy coconut and milk flavor and guava was next with the sprinkle of chilli and salt powder . Would recommend to everyone. We travelled around 20 kms to taste kulfi and it definitely worth it.
Iv been here twice..a place especially for kulfi..the love of my life!had malai..amrut flavour..and wat not..its a cute little place which is ALWAYS crowded..love it!

I have tried this when I went to my frnd's house. She wanted me to try their famous 'Malai kulfi' .
The kulfi was so creamy, richened with badam and cashews. I've never tasted such yummy kulfi before.

What's better than a Kulfi, cool and delicious at the end of a day long visit to Chennai. Well had the pleasure of stepping into this modest yet wide selection available for you in my old locale. Loved it.
Must visit place for delicious kulfi flavours. All flavors are good and pocket friendly prices. Slice and stick varieties are available.

Went there and selected the flavors by myself. Ordering via Swiggy may cost more.. but that's not the reason why I went in person :) .They had lots of flavors.. highlights are guava with red Chilly toppings (must try... this is awesome. It's sweet only), seethaphal, tender coconut, Calcutta Paan, 4 in 1 Rangeela ( Orange, Pistachio, black currant and butterscotch), Gulkhand, Chicoo, Mango (must try - all time favorite). Few flavors are either available in slices or sticks... not in both...
Got malai and seasonal sitafal slice and both were yummaaaxx π»π»
They have super wide range of varieties but then by the time it gets delivered, it melts a little π
Must try place for kulfi lovers. Wide range of flavours. My personal favs were regular kesar pista and vanilla Oreo. Usually there is wait here. But worth it.
One of the delicious natural fruit flavour kulfi I have had. We have tried Mango, Ghulkand, Malai, Guava, and Lichee flavours. The kids loved all of it.
Brilliant outlet. All the flavors i tried are awesome. Rangeela (3 n1) malai mango.. etc. Must go if you are near eliott beach in besant nagar in chennai. Follow google map to locate the store.

Tiny place. You have 2 stools outside but can stand and eat outside. Not a huge selection but they live up to their reviews and everything tastes good. Staff were friendly and did a good job. Could add some seating and increase their menu offerings. I would hire them to cater for a party for sure. Overall 8/10.
