For sure you may have pleasent experience, a time escape from normal life, such good peaceful and soothing experience, food and service also perfect, I am loving it, very perfect place for Date Night
Been almost 4 years since the last time i came to the resort...this restaurant seemed like new addition...ordered the nonveg version of the soup of the day which was chicken cubes in creamy mushroom flavored stock...ordered a couple of mains-grilled lemon basil prawn and fillet of snapper...
The soup was wholesome and the two the main dishes were almost perfect
Food-4.5/5 ( could have given a 5 but for the bucks you pay,you expect a dish that blows you away or one that you ll remember long after)
Service-5/5
Ambience-4.5/5 (its literally perfect ,they take a lot of steps against mosquitoes and insects but still a bug flew into my cup and another bit my leg and got an allergic reaction to it)
Verdict:it is expensive, but worth it...a place to go when you want to have charming/romantic experience but slather odomos before you venture here
P.S.no photos because i was rather busy battling my allergy
Had a staycation in the resort, hence had to choose one of their restaurants. Chose this place as it had Italian cuisine.
Food was good with the right ingredients and style of Italian. The lasagne was the best. Soup and the potato where good.
About the ambience, too much mosquitoes.
Service could have been much much better for the tax we pay
Loved the place for its ambience and food. That said its an open restaurant so visit in nicer climate. I visited in May :) a bad call but regardless the food, drinks were good. They have custom menus too if you need one. I got pasta for my kid which was not on the menu.
Thanks team for the service. Would love to visit again.
If you are looking for good food and great ambience,Upper Deck is the best place . I had chosen the place to celebrate my anniversary and it was totally worth . From the menu , Bruschetta was wow , Ratatouille lasagne was a treat , Four cheese grilled chicken 🍗was a delicacy and Tiramisu dessert was yum!!I would definitely recommend this place, can't wait to visit again.
Luxury dinning with a great view. Food 5/5 though the menu has minimum variety. My most favourite place to have drinks. I think it would make for a really great place for dates
This place be best ambience for anyone around the world. The food is good and you can be here on a late evening to enjoy the breeze of the sea and sound of the waves .
Must try any sea food and desserts!
Ambience- 4.5
Food-4.5
Service-4.5
The place is well set with the back drop of the sea. It's a semi open place and the sea breeze makes it a pleasant place to be in. The ambience is comforting; can't say much about the food as my friend and i had some hot beverages and vegetable bruschetta. However they do serve alcohol and have other options for snacks and food. definitely a tryout place.
I would like to share with you some of our happiest and Special moments❤️
The sea is calm to-night.
The tide is full, the moon lies fair
Upon the straits , Glimmering and vast
Let me be true about this place
Its the world, which seems
To lie before us like a land of dreams,
So various, so beautiful, so new.
It's the place where we were so very alive in Our time
In one word it's so eye popping💙
One of the finest gourmet Italian restaurant in Chennai under an enchanting setting with the signature touch of Taj hospitality. The Chicken Liver Pate and Pumpkin-Zucchini Ravioli were excellent. They could do better with wine selection though. Not many interesting choices if going by the glass. Food prices are a steal for the quality it serves. Definitely worth the drive for a romantic evening.
One of the most wonderful place for candle night dinner..Decent food.. Good ambiance. We ordered soup of the day peanut soup it was delicious.. Friendly staffs
We went here for a romantic dinner date and it turned out to be the best date! Ambience is just perfect. Do book in advance as there are limited tables. You also have access to beach till 9pm. We had a great time! Hope you would love this place too.
What we ordered:
Starter- Lemon Basil Prawn (Very tasty and fresh soft prawns. Best quality less quantity to sum it up)
Grill (Non-Veg)- Grilled Chicken stuffed with four cheese and mushroom. (Just loved eating this stuffed cheese chicken. Although we didn't like the fried potatoes that come along with it)
Main Course (Non-Veg)- Smokey Chicken Risotto (Dish with minimal spices)
Been here sometime back ...lovely view from the restaurant ...food was good too...we went there as a family and extended family members...all tummies were happy..
If u wish to run away from the hustle and bustle of the city for a good dinner then Taj is ur place ( Provided u have deep pockets😜). The cool of the night air and the breathtaking view of sea will definitely make ur dinner experience a heavenly one. All the dishes were well made and delectable, especially the Grilled chicken with cheese and potatoes needs a special mention. The staff were very courteous and they made sure each dish was satisfying our expectations. So do visit this place if ur craving for Continental food at a place with great ambience.

Awesome beach view. Calm atmosphere.peaceful environment.
Totally Italian. Don't go if not interested in Italian cuisine.
One of the european specialty restaurant at Taj fisherman cove . The ambience feels good, as it overlooks the beach and you can hear the sound of waves crashing .
We ordered :
Soup of the day: which was broccoli soup which was refreshing and can be given a try.
Artichoke and water-chestnut filled potato with turkish sauce : As the name describes grilled potato with minced articoke and water chestnut served with yumm turkish sauce.
Risotto : mushroom risotto which was yum and well prepared , only downside the food does not have salt and you need to put some .
Fettuccini : fettuccini served with artichoke and pesto sauce . The dish was ok and again the problem was seasoning .
Grandmaa chocolate cake: heavy and yummy chocolate cake with ice cream .
Went for an evening drink around 4pm with friends
Food-Good
Drinks- Good (liked the chili based raw mango Cocktail)
Ambience - Good (one word - Wow)
Service- Quick and Good
Price- Pricey ( Good things don't come cheep )
Star rated restaurant with star rated experience. A peaceful place with excellent view and polite staff.
Food is good , have a good bar collection and service is fine.
Overall a must place to visit if you are opting for a 5 🌟
The best place in chennai for calm and peace with all the drinks and continental stuff.... best place for calm and peace mind...this is the 1st place in chennai for an superb lovable romantic xperience ❤️❤️❤️ its like 30km away from city but u will get tripped if u go on a full moon day 😍
This was one of the best meals I have had in a long time! Everything we ordered was exquisite. The service was really awesome! We ordered the grill shrimp, gnocchi and a risotto. The desserts were also too good!
The rating of 3.5/5 is for the ambience , calm & serene , this is one of my favourite hangouts in chennai . When it comes to food , seafood is their specialty and their mocktails are very good . Tried the scallops and it was truly awful . The chicken dish was nothing great and none of the food stood out to mention here . Go here for the ambience and chill and don't expect too much when it comes to the food . My advise would be to. Have some drinks here and go to bay view for your dinner .
Good ambience , good service and good food and good presentation.. more over the quality of food was very good and fresh and the beach view and sound of waves definetly adds up to the whole experience
Wonderful ambience and quality of food. The pastas are amazing and so tender on your palette. Amazing location by the sea side yet far enough for it to not disturb your dinner. Loved it!!!
Perfect romantic getaway.
You have got everything in here - sea , the ambience so just get the romantic side of you do the rest of it .
Pros:
1. The location as the name suggests "The Upper deck" the restaurant is elevated at a height which is higher than rest of the property.
2.Opens only after 4 pm so perfect to enjoy the sea breeze have a drink and enjoy your food.
3. The shack decor created it looks awesome and the lighting is quite dim just enough to be perfect
4. Food is more on the continental side. So if you have a penchant for spiciness like me might not be very very satisfied with the taste as its sort of bland but nothing to complain its a continental, Italian,French cuisine so cant ask for anything else here.So food I would rate as average.
5.Very courteous servers who help you out in the selection of the menu items enlightening you about the daily specials etc.
6.Biggest plus is after dinner you can take a stroll by the sea in their private beach
Cons:
1. Can increase the number of items in the menu
As its a star hotel so it is a bit on the pricier side. However its worth the money spent you the experience you get is priceless it doesn't feel like you are in hot and humid Chennai anymore.
If you want to try a genuine food prepared by the one of the best chef & alos to mentioned the presentation style, ambience, food quality is so good. So must try it for sure.. next time sure you will come back..😃😃😃😃
I should say this was one of the best dinner i ever had in my life ! Ambience top notch , music was awesome, Service was fabulous!
5/5 Tomato basil broth
4/5 Pesto fettuccine
4.5/5 Grilled chicken stuffed with cheese
Really amazing experience and a great value for money.
Just fabulous !! Very romantic ambience !! As the evening goes by !! One of the best places to experience the sea breeze !! Great place. Cheers !!
Nice restaurant serving Italian food with a great ambiance. Best part of the restaurant is that it's present a rock like surface and has a sea view. Choices were limited as they had very less options in the menu. We ordered Roasted Veggie Wrap. The taste was not so great, but not bad too. But the hotel is by far the best one in Chennai where we can spend hours together..:)
What I loved most about Upper deck was the breathtaking setting. If you can, must ask for the 3 tables nearest to the beach.
The best part of my meal was the mushroom risotto.
Skip the cheesecake, hog on the golden something desert (pic).
Though the food was good, the ambiance is what really took our breath away!

Amazing ambiance! added bonus if you dine on a full moon day.. But the food could really have been better. The sauces on our chicken was minimal and mediocre. dessert was nice. But a must visit if you are a romantic!
This by far the best place I've ever been to in terms of ambience. Just too good. Beautiful. The food is very good. It's place where you can spend hours together. It's the best in chennai.
Really good specialised specific regional Italian. Loved the caprese, soup and desserts grandma's cake, tiramisu and cheese cake.

I had been there for my wify's bday. She ws thrilled with the ambience and we were early and enjoyed sea breeze before dinning. Though i hd been thr many a tyms this was cool, the upper crest ws real romantic and they served french cuisines, its a Ideal place for a moon light dinner and that sea breeze along with sea waves whistling sound super cool.
The food was served with care felt im at taj at every moment.
It was 7.45pm and we started dining classic way soup/starters/main courses and ordered 2 mocktails .
The Soup Seafood bisque was very much fishy smelling with good taste, its made from seafood broth which is supposed be smelling fishy by the way suggest for seafood lovers only and tomato basil soup gave me the feeling of being dipped into a french soil. Tried lemon prawn & salmon tartare for starters , they had different tasting sauces and did give chance to fulfil my appetite and longingness for new taste.
Grilled chicken and fillet of snapper grilled were very tasty n still feel the taste in tongue even now. I liked the rosemary bunch put on top of the grill chicken but didn feel it be that fresh as it was a bit stiff. Everything that came with grill was real tasty, grilled baby potato's , mashed sago along with snapper and the snapper grill was very very tasty.
The cucumber mocktail was real pleasure like i took bath in cucumber tub , was refreshing till last sip of it.
My wify happy with treat, was big surprise for her and came out around 10pm.
Initially booked for bay view , that was near the sea then changed my mind to upper crest the move was really worth of it.
This deserves 10.0 just for the view! What a beautiful place!
An open-air restaurant overlooking the sea. Perfect for a romantic dinner or a relaxed evening out with family.
Now coming to the food - we had their mesculin salad, polenta skewers and artichoke something as starters. The food took a really long time getting to our table, and a bread basket can only go do far to satisfy your hunger. The salad was good, but I didn't really like the cheese puffs that come with the salad - I expected something better. The polenta skewers were ok - but they could have done something to make the polenta tastier. The best was the artichoke something which came on a bed a cous cous. The sauce was YUMMY!
We ordered a lasagne as well for mains. It was nothing out of the ordinary. The desserts didn't look too inviting, so we asked for the cheque and indulged in amadora ice cream on ECR (which is really nice and actually has good service, unlike the one on KNK).
Service was excellent and I must comment on the property, it's just lovely! A nice evening out for sure!
We went there on the occasion of our son's birthday. It is a beautiful property and you walk through it till the end to reach the restaurant, which is made on an elevation. You are very close to the sea in an open air restaurant, enjoying the lovely sea breeze. The menu is limited and has Italian and grilled dishes. Service is easy paced and all the dishes are made fresh using the best ingredients.
The only negative is the drive from Chennai to the hotel which is slightly dangerous in night with expansion work going on ECR.
Good setup by the sea. The ambience is perfect, as you can hear the waves. They serve Italian and French cuisine! Very limited options for veg. It's a Great hide out for a couple dine in! Approx 3k for dine in for 2
Visited for a candle light dinner...! We were given a table around the corner.. The ambience was too good.. Started off with a wine.. Then we ordered salmon and indian breads... The service was very good and the manager was very composed in his manner.. The bill was quite heavy since we ordered wine. Other than that the food price was up to the mark.. No wrong in shelling out few penny for vivanta.
The best lamb rack served at Fisher man cove by Taj Properties , That being well order taken by the server and well described and served us ,While me and my was on a date there. Nice place ,Nice breeze and had a great dine at Upper Deck
Great ambiance... beautiful clear view of the sea from most tables. Evenings would be the best time to visit this place. Right before sunset.
Food was a little bit of a let down for the price.
Atmosphere: 4/5
Food: 3.5/5
Service: 4/5
Value for money: 3/5
The two of us enjoyed the Mediterranean cuisine.... The food was yumm great ravioli type pasta and the fish was superb! Wine selection is limited! The bar was beautifully lit and the simple lanterns on the floor added to the ambience at night
The food was really good , ambiance was awesome nice place well maintained they had a beach view which was really a pleasing view but one draw back didn't expect they won't have a proper parking
This is my all time fav hangout with my family .. I mean the best so far in ECR .. If u driving away the highway with group of friends ,loved ones or family when you want to rest a little and go for a some quality time with them with sea facing breezy dining experience then this is it !! This place is like a magic .. It soothes ur mind and bring peace and all I can hear the sound of the ocean .. Good food and amazing view with you and your loved ones .. What else you need for a perfect time to spend?
Everything else : they cook fresh sea food in front of you while u can opt for ur fav fish .. Worth the money u penny u spend .. Great place and must come in evenings ..
An Amazing place, the sea shore in front of you at night turns more beautiful. The seating arrangement is luxurious and the food served is too good. Went out for my birthday treat given by a special friend. Enjoyed the serenity and peace around. A musts visit!
One of the best hotel Groups in India , the Taj Group . Vivanta by Taj , fisherman's cove is a beautiful restaurant ambience with a view of the sea . The resort is well maintained & also hygienic living up to all it's bilking of a five star .The food is excellent & value for money . The starters like garlic bread , mushroom dishes are good . The pastas are prepared well & taste very good . Other main course dishes are also tasty . The Deserts & juices are also wonderfully presented . A good place to have a celebration & Can be visited with friends, families .
I have never been to big five star properties but I wanted to do something special on my wife's birthday( who was then my fiance). So I took her to fisherman's cove on a dinner date. The Upper Deck restaurant is an open air restaurant on an elevated platform over a rock. You can hear the beautiful sound of the waves crashing nearby. It was a candle lit dinner and the place was very very romantic. There were hardly anyone in the place and we had a quiet private time. I couldn't afford most of the dishes there, so we went straight for a starter and a main course. A lobster dish and a white sauce pasta. They gave a complimentary bread basket and after the 1st dish, they gave us a neutralizer which was like a crushed ice scoop with some syrup flavor. It was suppose to neutralize our taste buds for the second dish. They probably felt sorry for us and gave a larger serving of pasta, enough for both of us. The bill came to 2000 odd INR. A record low bill total over there I guess..haha. When we were done, the chef came over and asked for a feedback and gave his card. It was royal treatment. We went for a stroll on the beach and came back with a big smile. Who said money can't buy happiness !!!
I can without doubt declare that this is the best of all restaurants at Taj Fishcove. Its called the upper deck as this place is on top of a little hill and you can see the beautiful Bay of Bengal from your table. As the winds of the sea brush your face, you can relax by listening to the soft background music. The place has subtle lightning, candles on the tables, and drapes flowing on to the chairs and tables- making the place perfect for a romantic dinner. Upper deck opens only by late evening and a table booking is definitely suggested. While walking to upper deck, you can stroll through the beautiful gardens of fishcove and give your romantic dinner a beautiful start.
The menu has limited items, but not a problem since they have some delicious courses available for veggies and otherwise.
Their service is not quick, I wouldn't say slow, but not quick: which is fine if you are on a romantic date but not okay if you are dying hungry and you starved yourself all day to eat there.
Its a five star restro, so I cannot or more accurately will not comment on the rationality of the prices. I think at such places you pay for the experience more than you do for the meal.
Must try: classic falafel in pita, four cheese zucchini and eggplant rulatini, calabrese pasta.
Ambience: 5/5 ( I love beaches, so sorry if I am biased )
Food: 3.5/5
Service: 4/5
Value for money: no comments :D
Have fun!
Lovely place with a beautiful view! I like the drinks better than food! Should come to spend a weekend here :) very calm and serene. Can improve with the chicken starters here.
Went out for dinner , Never been toa Mediterranean restaurent the staffs were so helpful in choosing our dish ordered Moroccan chicken soup as starter which tasted nothing extraordinary but the main course seafood riso and smokey chicken pen were awesome especially the prawns and oysters were well cooked and tasted good had maple tiramisu as dessert and shirley temple mocktail the bill amount came to R Rs3633 I have to mention about the ambience it was extra ordinary I really liked the ambience will visit this place again just for ambience alone!!!
We decided to host a dinner for my in-laws'35th anniversary at this place because of the wonderful reviews we had seen on this site. It was also really important for us to give them an experience which will set it apart from the other high-end dinner joints in the city and must say we came back really impressed with the service, the care taken to help us choose the right wine, the mains and the appetisers and to understand the basics of Mediterranean cuisine. Before rating the food, a word for the ambience....our table was set very close to the beach and while eating the delicacies we could hear the waves rise and fall and that really set the tone for the evening. We started with the Mezza Platter which introduced us to the Mediterranean staples of Baba Ganoush, the hummus, falafel and the pita bread. We also tried two of their non-veg appetisers-the Boonoonoonoos Lamb Kebabs and the shrimps. A special word for the Kebabs which was succulent, tender and melt-in-the mouth of the highest standard. We also tried the soups - The Moroccon Chicken and the Tomato and Crisp Tortillas respectively and one should definitely skip the vegetarian soup. For our mains we chose the Trio of Sea Crustaceans, the Two-Way cooked Salmon, the Duck Confit and the Champagne Riso. The Trio of Sea Crustaceans stood out which was a combination of pesto-scampi, lobster in olive oil and lemon garlic and tiger prawns. The seafood was well-cooked and nicely balanced and the star of all the other dishes we tried that day. However the duck main was a little dry and the salmon was also not outstanding. However the place offers to provide personalised service, cooking as per individual preference and the perfect setting for a special occasion to make it a memorable evening and Upper Deck more than lived up to its promise so definitely highly recommended.
The brand says it all. A TAJ venture it is.
This was a surprise dinner date for me.
We walked to the upper deck from the reception. That path is just too amazing, between all those villas and greeneries. You will fall in love with this place.
Upper deck is a perfect place to spend a romantic evening with it's superb ambiance and the beach view with the sound of shores on one side and pleasant music on the other. There's no way you would not love this place.
He had already reserved the best table for us. There was candle on the table. And he had pre-ordered for a red-rose bouquet and a cake. As I said, Surprise dinner! ;)
The food tasted good but it's quite expensive. Portions are neither too less nor too much, they are tummy filling.
The light is not too dim to call it a perfect candle-light dinner but it was not too disturbing bright either. The best thing about this place is the beach and it's sound that you get to hear. Breezy enough to not make you feel hot or sweat. The service is just perfect. They give you enough time to finish your starters and then bring the main course and so on.
The menu was limited else I could have given it a 5 easily. Rest, you need to visit this place to feel it's awesomeness.
P.S. That bouquet was amazing and that cake that you see in the picture was complimentary. :)
Not too much needs to be said about an establishment like this.
Everything from the time you step in to the time you leave is taken care of.
The quality of service, ambiance and food is exceptional.
Some people might find the pricing a bit steep, but this sort of place is supposed to be something you treat yourself or someone else to. This to me justifies the pricing completely.
The standards that they have set for themselves are very high they each time I have been here they keep exceeding it.
For a city built on the coast, Chennai has a woeful lack of good places with a good beach view.
The view here is sublime and makes you forget where you are.
And, let me not forget why we came here in the first place - the food!
Yes the food here - seafood I mean, is nothing short of exceptional.
A must visit if you don't mind the dent in the wallet.
If you are looking for a romantic dinner with candle light , this is the best place . I told them before hand that I need a roses and cake , the people serving are too good and they reserved best table and boque of roses is too good ,that shez happy .perfect place to go for a date.very very Limited food menu but ..
For a city which has the second longest beach in the world, Chennai is woefully short of good beach facing restaurants. A trip down the ECR and way past the second longest beach will take give you glimpses of some restos, but not too many that will stick to your brain. The restaurant in Fisherman's Cove's far north beach is one that will stick. Their Sunday Brunch is supposed to be outstanding and I got a glimpse of it and it had lobsters and stuff, but since we went at the fag end of the brunch, we made a reservation for dinner.
At dinner time, the place had only 7 tables of which 4 (including us) were full. It is a beautiful restaurant, perched on a small rocky surface with a beautiful sea view, which would have been way better during lunch, but the ambiance at dinner is not bad at all. The restaurant is manned by only two waiters, who, you might think own the place - that is the level of commitment and smile they have even at the fag end of a long day. This is a nice fancy restaurant with a limited menu and produce from around the world. Scallops, angus beef and Norwegian salmon are all on the menu. Its a pity that we were full and did not have the appetite, but whatever we had was amazing.
After we placed order for the soup, we were served our amuse-bouche, which was a pear soaked in something and though it could not create space in our not-very-empty stomachs, it was nice. The tortilla soup wasn't the best soup in the world, but it was nice and I wish there was more crisp tortillas inside it. Once the soup was done, we were presented with a nice palate cleanser - a nice raspberry sorbet!
Full review at http://www.chennaifoodie.com/2014/01/upper-deck-fishermans-cove.html
We had a wonderful candle light dinner and the staff made it a point everything was taken care of.
We were unable to find Cream of Broccoli soup after we returned from Singapore for good and on special request the Chef and the team managed to prepare it on very short notice from my end as a surprise for my wife.
Ambiance - Great
Service - Great
Thumbs up and recommend it highly.
Upper deck is a kind of Restaurant which, as a guy, you would want to take your girl on a date. Of course the Restaurant is great, but what makes it extra special is the distance from the Mainland Chennai. Its neither too far nor too close, perfectly located or should I call it Romantically located, for a nice evening drive and back home on time (if 11pm is on time in your dictionary). Fisherman's cove as a Resort is the go-to place for any beach lover and what more could someone ask for if the Restaurant is by the bay. A nice Hut-like set up with dim light all over welcomes you.
The evening can be started with a nice chilled wine (or drink of your choice) with the description of mouth-watering Mediterranean delicacies decorating the menu card (you would be given a pen torch to see the menu in that dim light). Though the Pastas are tempting in its description you should explore other options to treat your taste buds well. Go for something new, something which your heart tells you at that point of time. Be guaranteed that whatever you order will be too good to excite you, be it Veg or Non Veg ( yeah, there are some unusual Veg dishes as well). A drink and food of your choice, with natural music of sea water splashing on to the rocks in the shore is an absolute bliss to you and your soul. And don't forget to take a walk on the beach after your meal, to complete your experience. Yes, this experience is light on your soul and a bit heavy on your pockets.
We went there on a special occasion. And we had a wonderful and peaceful eve. To reach the Upper deck, we chose to walk along the beautifully designed landscapes. It was so memorable. Upper deck is situated, from where you can have a good view of the sea and hear the waves which makes you feel like heaven.
They have a wide collection of wine. Their variety of breads were so good. Everything was served neatly and I love the way they treated us. Their food was so... so very delicious. I couldn't thank the chef then, so let me send him my warm greetings through Zomato. You were awesome.
Are you looking for a candle light dinner with your special one on a special occasion? This is the right place for you in chennai. UPPER DECK - VIVANTA BY TAJ
We visited 'The upper deck' for a private dinner. The set up is very refreshing as you dine overlooking the Bay of Bengal with the mighty waves crashing the shore voraciously.
The food is very nice with fine detailing.
The staff strength is not much but is just enough to cater to you and offer you the much wanted privacy.
We ordered for a salad, soup and pasta which was enough to feed our two souls.
We were offered complimentary sorbets while we were waiting for our food to arrive.
The only put down was there was no substantial dessert suitable for vegans.
Breeze, Moon, Shore and waves, a dimly lit, table and European Cuisine, just made our day, the experience was peaceful, romantic, laughs and bonding was the result.
I went there of the experience and I got what I wanted.
In the food department, each and every dish served was good, live up to its claim, pure European bliss
Nice collection of drinks as well!!
Highlight - Four Chesse Stuffed chicken and Signature prawn
Upper deck ⛩
Best and exotic view of beach.
Must try out with a date.
Hospitalization is amazing. 😇
Need to book the table early .
Food is great, so is ambience.
A classic culmination of romantic, authentic with finest touch.
A special callout to seafood!!
Expensive one ☝️
Little feel like you are in maldive .. very nice atmosphere good. Good service
No crowd on a Friday night. Service was very good for India, food was decent. The arancini has no detectable blue cheese but the stuffed chicken was beyond my expectations. Wine was outrageously expensive so we just declined. View is terrific and I love that they have an open kitchen. Overall, the best restaurant at the property, but also the most expensive by far.
Excellent view of the ocean from the tables at the edge of the seating space. It is very quiet, calm and relaxing.
We had veg. soup, lasagna and ravioli. The pumpkin stuffed ravioli was excellent. The ratatouille lasagna was served while we were eating the ravioli and cooled down too fast. So, it didn't taste as good as it should have.
The total cost for the three items was Rs 1900. The ambiance made it worthwhile.
Went there with my girlfriend on her birthday place is awesome on the sea shore, if you want a good sea view book one of the 3 tables which is overlooking the sea book 2 days before or else it will not be available. Ordered drinks, starter and main course with half kg b'day cake(850rs) pls order cake 3 days before or else in short notice you'll not be able order your fav flavour. Total bill was around 3.5k.
+Food is good but pricey which is expected since it's among the premium restaurants in Chennai.
+Ambience is exceptional and must visit for people's need to experience candle light dinner with sea view.
+Staff behavior was very good with amazing service.
We visited the properties beach after the dinner which is around 11:15pm the view was awesome at night.
Advice to management: please have a electronic mosquito trapper in place. at times we faced mosquitos biting our legs under the seat's.
Best and exotic view of beach. Must try out with a date. Hospitalization is amazing. Food is great, so is ambience. A classic culmination of romantic, authentic with finest touch. A special callout to seafood!!
Chef Mark and the team had an excellent prawn grill on. The sundowner menu had some sublime gin cocktails, the Elco Lime in particular. The truffle fries were pretty good too. And the tiramisu tied the ambience and everything else together for a wonderful Taj hospitality experience.
Chef mark is really wonderful. Specifically if I saw prawns fry was really tasty. Best for family vacation. Fun place to be with family and friends

It's a osm experience!!
Really I enjoyed a lot
A lovely candle night dinner.such a romantic place I never seen before. Very good atmosphere.good service.
For two people max 4000 to 5000 price!!
Amazingly romantic place for dining with large and wide beach beach view. Food was just okay. Tried Lamb Chops and Grilled Lobster 🦞~ nothing special about the sea food here. But great customer service by Kennedy. This place is about great experience and aura more than just food.
Nice place and exotic view. The menu could have been better. We got a prawn risotto, a blue lagoon and a drink. The bill was quite costly. But the view and the hospitality was really great. Don't go by the map . Get inside the Taj resort and then ask the security for the way in. We planned by knowing it was a full moon day and moon rises around 7-8. So plan accordingly. It can be both a romantic and a family outing.
Superb place... Sheraton has selected wonderful location for this hotel and open air swimming pool with open air restaurant "upper deck "... Right next to beach... Blue ocean, wide Sky Ans wonderful lights... In the evening the feeling is different!!
This restaurant location was amazing. Wish I got a chance to sit and dine out there. But always there is another time I could try out. Once the covid is far away and things normalize I am gonna go spend some time here at this restaurant forsure.
Excellent ambience. Had a business dinner with few friends from Middle East. Staff were friendly and place is pristine. Do check out their lemongrass salmon, if you’re a sea food lover.
Highly recommend this place for a family or romantic dinner with special someone. View of the ocean from the seating area is priceless. Food and drinks are pricey but worth it for the experience.
Upperdeck is located by the seashore with a very beautiful ambiance, suited for both romantic candle light dinner as well as family and friends get together.
It is within the Taj Fisherman cove hotel which itself is a very beautiful place for a weekend.
Not a lot of variety to eat which means you will not be spoilt for choices.
But whatever they offered and we ordered was sumptuous.
A lot of options and variety for the drink lovers.
Overall, a wonderful experience. One of the better seaside restaurants to visit around Chennai City.
