Amazing menu and live counters are too good
We had a good view of beach and would be nice if they set up our table before our arrival because we had to wait for a long time and called them to clean our table and chairs
But overall nice place
really really loved the service. specially staff lets you feel homely and welcoming. Parashuram and Mohit are champs in the service dept. All the staff are very good. Highly recommend.
Visited this breezy and exquisite place six months ago as an attendee of a conference. Was truly smitten with the environs within the confines of the resort. Its location is its primary vantage offering a serene exposition of the beach and serenading waters of Bay of Bengal. The restaurant skirts the beach and this proximity and excellent ambiance lends gravitas to the moderate tasting food. Absolute hangover even after six months!

Settling in for dinner at Seacrest, the restaurant at MGM Resort, we were informed that buffet was the night's special. The live music on the day was very good and added to the ambiance.
Started the night with pan fried fish - very shallow fried fish with cream marination, along with dry south Indian chicken. The paneer tikka was super soft and grilled to perfection. The sheikh kebab was lovely too.
The chicken biriyani was complimented with amazing mutton curry. The pieces were well cooked, and the flavour was gripping. Felt the chicken curry to be a little bland, may be a little under-salted.
The desert options were plenty including cakes, rasamalai, grated carrot based payasam, a fantastically prepared chocolate fudge (unbelievably good) along with the regular ice-creams.
The buffet experience was good, with most of the dishes above expectation and few that could improve. If your idea is to have a buffet to fill your tummy, there are so many options in the city itself. I'd only take the trouble to come all the way here, if I wanted to spend a relaxed time with family/friends, enjoy the music and embrace the breeze.
Family treat. First of all it’s too good. Except few things. Family dinner @ weekend. Spread is decent enough both veg & non veg. Fish is too good fresh, taste... especially soup is yummy. Ambience is wonderful sea view Woww breeze with waves soothing sound. Mock tails menu & drink. Salad limited only but good taste. OMG they have to take care mosquitoes. Overall I will recommend

We dropped by this gorgeous place on the way to Pondicherry for a quick lunch. Its neatly tucked by the beach and has a lovely ambience. The beach is accessible and offers a great view while eating. The service is really good and staff is ever so polite. We opted for their lunch buffet and I tried the local cuisine and was elated with my choice. Lovely place to dine with family or friends. Ample space for large groups and huge appetites. Needless to say the lunch wasn't quick as the food and view was great! Highly recommended!

We chose to eat at Seacrest Restaurant on our first wedding anniversary.
We were surprised, but also very impressed about the perfect job both the servers and kitchen staff did to adjust the menu to our wishes and needs
The food and the service were just outstanding. One of the best dining experiences we have ever had.
And they even made a small surprise for us with a special cake and Anniversary song that played a tune for us, when the dinner was over. That was so nice and well thought.
We will definitely come back next time.

Spent family dinner last night at Seacrest Mgm resort. It was a great experience! We had buffet, food was excellent except starters, Starters should be more eye appealing apart from that food spread was good. The buffet was quite expensive comparatively other resorts in ECR. Service was excellent staffs were having nice and warm smile on their face and everyone was eager and ready to serve us. Manager Aashif and Other staffs were very helpful the beach views table was very nice and relaxing, neat and maintained beach. I'd imagine there's a bit more traffic during high seasons, but either way, we'll definitely be back! Highly recommended!
I have been to this pleasant place multiple times.. I visited here for the 1st time when I was doing my schooling and now I'm going here with my kid. This place is were I feel I get peace and pleasant environment. Food - yes not as very great as we think but pretty decent. Love for mgm

The food seemed delicious the location is just beautiful but a lot more can be done with the place there was a communication problem between the staff and customer but its fine as we speak different languages.
On asked for recomdations for the best meal they have currently the staff suggest a garlic hakka noodles well it was pretty good
The chicken and panner was marvellous
The fries were frozen and didnt taste that good
The panner was a bit hard and soggy in the chilli panneer
The kadai panner was just yummy
The tandoori roti(roasted bread) was a bit hard and chewy .

Best food and service, I had dinner buffet last night for my wife birthday 🎊 food and service was good and band was nice , staffs where prompt and courtesy especially our server MURUGAN , chilli planner and the mutton starter was exelent, we finished dinner and about to leave suddenley Manager BALAJI & ANAND came with cake and writen my wife name with flower bouquet it was surprised, They made our day this was the best birthday celebration we ever had our life. Highly recommend place for special Days...

Celebrated my daughter’s birthday at a very reasonable price. Food and ambience was very good. Birthday table and music band arrangements were set. It was pleasant surprise for us. Complimentary snacks were onion pakora and paneer bhajii which was yummy. Warm Food was served to the table. Overall experience was awesome. Had a wonderful time near the beach. Would highly recommend this place for any events and parties. Balaji MGM manager was very friendly and made it a memorable experience.
One of my favorite spot in Chennai. Had visited for dinner with my spouse. This place give kind of peace when we sit on the shore for drink and food.
And I always find good crowd here. Great environment. And during big sports occasion (IPL, World cup) they play the games on big screen . That give us complete entertainment,

I often visit this place when I drive through ECR. Been here for dinner and for evening coffee . The evening menu is limited . Their coffee can be improved a little bit . Good sandwich options . Wonderful place for a date . Good food with considerate service !

Went around 4pm and only snacks and juices were available.. we ordered chicken tikka sandwich , prawn 65, watermelon juice , pineapple juice ... all tasted good but price is jus exorbitant.. total came to 1500 inclusive of taxes .. ambience was the only factor which will bring the customers back .. we get a nice sea view without any harsh sunlight filtering in .. good for a romantic eve out with your partner if you are ok with the expensive pricing ..

Nice ambience, cant say a negative in that. Food is also good, but MRP 19 rs water bottle they charged 50 Rs.
Alcohol, they have decent stuffs, but at high price, which actually should be agreeable, because its usual in all high end bars and restro bars.

We discovered this place by chance. Was travelling to Mahabalipuram and saw this resort. Best part is that it's sea facing so the ambience is picture perfect !

Pretty place with a very beautiful ambience. Having lunch or dinner by the shore is a very beautiful experience. Food is very good and delicious. Seacrest special- seafood platter is something worth trying. A little expensive but worth visiting once.
This place has a good view to offer while u gobble ur food down. The food here is nothing out of the extra-ordinary. But the kids will have a nice time in and around the restaurant if u visited there with your family. Nice place for group outings. Very spacious. Feels like chilling along the beach side.
Service was good though the buffet menu items were less , the 4.5 is for the ambience . I feel they should provide more options for starters .

Today we had b'fast at the restaurant. We had a very good experience. Mr. Harish who is the restaurant manager is charming and a very good person. He personally come and check the quality, check if you need anything and makes you comfortable. I would recommend this place.

The restaurant opens by 7.30pm only. reached a bit early. So we went for a stroll in the beach.. captured some photos and by the opening time we were at the restaurant. great food, good varieties in the buffet as it was a Bengali food fest was going on. and the most imported note is the service, the waiter who was serving us was having enough knowledge and he served us in very well manner. would recommend to go there.

This is good place for team outing, vacation and for couple.
They organise a candle light/moonlight dinner near beach with customised options as per your request. That totally depends on you, how much money you want to spend on this.
During evening a light breeze of air makes you feel better than any place near the beach.
Good ambience, seating with direct beach view. Very good when weather is good in evenings and night. Food is good enough.
At night there is some music which was too loud and it kind of spoils the ambience. The sound emanating from the waves will be much nicer. Even when there weren't many guests and we requested several times to lower the volume, it wasn't attended to.
Overall good because of beach facing, aa despite such a huge coastline Chennai doesn't have such places.
We went to have dinner. First of all They need to mention there proper timing for dinner as its available only after 7:30 PM. We reached early cause our table was booked for 7:00 PM but we had to wait. The good thing is while waiting you can go to the beach and enjoy the view or simply drink something at the bar. For Dinner we ordered 3 dishes and we were 2 people, the quantity was good enough. Coming to the Quality, well Its good' peeps. We ordered ster chicken, chicken noodles and one tandoori item. Everything was well cooked and properly presented to us and taste was great. While having your dinner you can enjoy live music and you can also request your own song and ask them to sing it for you. Overall I had an amazing evening dinner date there and would fully recommend to all of you esp. If you are planning to have a Romantic Date with the love of your life or simply want an amazing time for relaxation. Also the staffs there are very good and would take care of you and your evening.
If you are in chennai you must visit this place amazing location, fab property. Very thoughtfully made. A splendid way to enjoy ur meal with sea. It's right touching the beach, infact it's part of it.
Now about food all the value for money is for ambience. The food is good would say not that great or to talk about. But still good.
Service is a little problem as staff is not able to make it with the size of various different sections not to forget room service.

It's a beautiful place to visit for lunch or dinner. The restaurant is located right beside the private beach of the resort. You can sit right on the beach and eat. Drinks are allowed inside the restaurant and you have more options to drink than you get in Tamil Nadu otherwise. The food is quite good. The buffet costs 900 plus taxes, but every bit of it is worth it. We got to have good desserts as well. The private beach is absolutely clean and is an extension of the Covelong beach. I had an awesome experience. Will come back again!

This place was on the checklist for a long time . Finally headed here for dinner . The Ambience was really good , located near the shore . We ordered for corn bon Bon , fish tikka and garlic noodles . All three tasted really good .

This review is only on the breakfast we had here.. And that was complimentary too as we had stayed here.. Did not feel like having the dinner there as we felt it was a bit on the higher side and one has plenty of other cheaper options once you step out of the resort on the ECR..
The spread was really amazing and what a view to have once you get up in the morning while having breakfast.. (Check the pic uploaded)..!!
The taste was also not disappointing right from their already prepared food to their live counter (Masala omlette to Masala dosa to Channa Battura ).. Tried all of it..!! The fresh tea was also good to top it all..

Day before my birthday that is on Feb 4 were my friends and I wanted to meet up after a long time so I wanted have wine and dine dinner with them and probably was planning to visit Hilton but we are supposed to book tables atleast few hours before dining there and we didn't find any tables there so my friends every one were trying to find out some nice place to dine and there they found sea crest in MGM beach resort so finally booked the table and we made it there by 8 in the eve the place was well decorated with pretty lights and it was so welcoming and my friends made me believe that those arrangements were made for my bday....lol

What a fantastic restaurant at the MGM Beach resort. The beachfront dining restaurant and the food were both amazing. A good mix of different foods. Rather than the usual Paneer Butter Masala and Kadai Paneer, there we a whole host of subzis - avarakai poriyal, kathirikai pattani, vazhakai chops, achari khumb mutter, satrangi subzi along with the usual fare of pasta, thai curry, biryani and fried rice. The deserts on top topped off the meal.
Kudos to the executive chef Harjot Singh who has put out an outstanding buffet (at a very reasonable 1700+tax) and our server G. Sujatha who waited on us with patience.
Location is superb and food is good. But can have bit more on Indian during dinner so children can have alternate. Hospitality is excellent. Sullu taken care of us and baby food prepared and provided for our son is really in good taste
We stayed at MGM for 2 days and dined at this place over the course of four meals. Firstly, every place has a story. This one has seen some hardships, like the tsunami and the cyclones, that regularly hit the place. But they, the management and the team, keep coming back strong.
The view of the sea is literally the closest you could get, of a restaurant of this standing.
The service was overall courteous. A lot of non-local people, and often smiling and happy about their job.
The food and quantity is good. The spread of the breakfast buffet is quite generous.
Off course, the prices will be on the higher side, as it is a premium, for a beach view this good.
However, I would recommend, some cushioning on the hard chairs. Especially since the tables are arranged with such cutlery, why must there be compromise for matters concerning the other end.
