Always a great experience visiting and today was no exception.
The staff make sure you order right and will politely tell you if you’re over-ordering.
The tables are spacious and the restaurant well ventilated. The chopsticks aren’t the throwaway variety but decent ones. Ask before starting to eat and they’ll place the chopsticks with pleasure.
The veg garlic clear soup and thick spicy mushroom soup whetted our appetite like only great soups can.
The crispy corn with coriander is so delicious that one can just eat corn and drink soup and end the meal fully sated. The touch of coriander is genius and the consistency good.
The vegetarian dim sum were served steamy hot and with two types of sauces. You’d think the table was full of people who hadn’t seen food in ages given the speed at which they disappeared 😁.
Main course was spicy and mild fried rices, veg balls manchurian style in brown sauce and stir fried vegetables. The portions were appropriate for the price and served in quick time by attentive staff.
The taste of the rice was perfect and the rice sat light in the stomach. The stir fried vegetables included beans, broccoli, baby corn and mushroom.
It was pleasing to see a number of south East Asian dishes - popiah, mee goreng, nasi goreng and even ice kacang. I think it’s the right diversification from being only Chindian 👍.
Parking is no issue. You need to take about 7 steps to access the lift.
Overall great experience and one I’d gladly repeat.

From soup - starters - main - dessert, they serve the best. For old timers, memories are in store with this place.
We have ordered two times from this place and loved the food here.
* Chicken momos which are soft and given with two sauces tasted well.
* Chicken lollipops cooked well in sauces are very juicy and soft
* Chicken fried rice is tasted well too.
Go for this if you like Chinese food.
Their dragon chicken is a must try for everyone.
Terrific ambience properply taken by calm and supportive staff.
They guide you well.
Dont forget guys to try out their chicken mushroom noodles.

Rice ( any order) is always good. we've been ordering from this joint for a while. We ordered prawns and it was the usual (good but not extraordinary, considering that it's rates are a little above most other restaurants ). portions are very generous, thanks to the restaurant ,service is sharp, thanks to zomato. packaging is unique and probably better than the polythene tubs used by other restaurants, but it's a bit difficult to take out the stuff inside neatly. I must say it's a bit annoying. it'd be nice to get a menu brochure,tissues with the order.

Check the bill before paying, we had chicken clear soup but the billed as chicken manchow very disappointing.
We had yummy Chicken clear soup 🍜 which has smaller shredded pieces of chicken and spinach leaf which It is neither too heavy on the stomach nor it is too light.
And we had deep-fried crispy chicken 🍗 and kai chicken(chicken lollipop) with this crazy saltiness and crunchiness to it, and punchy flavours of ginger, garlic, chillies and all the ingredients that make a happy like Indian dish and we had some golden fried mouth watering crispy and delicious appetizers made with Prawns 🍤 and chicken wontons. these crunchy appetizers served with a yummy garlic sauces
In main course, we had the chicken noodles 🍝 which has amazing fried chicken pieces tossed all over it and it is hot and spicy.and some prawn fried rice 🍚 made in Indo chinese style. Simple & delicious fried rice made with tender chunks of prawns
Coming to desert we had Hot chocolate brownie and vanilla ice-cream 🍨in just the right way on a piping hot sizzler plate. The aroma of molten chocolate brownie, and the fizzling sound of frozen ice-cream on a sizzling

Amazing place to have Chinese or Thai. The Momo and dimsum are genuinely tasty. Equally are the other dishes which we had in our two visits. If u like Chinese, you surely should visit this place.
I had a very good experience here. The ambience was okay. Was not so appealing. But the food was awesome. I had ordered 4 kind of dishes for ₹600. I was happy with the food. I've always been a fan of American Chopseuy. A great place for the Chinese food lovers.

Mid sized restaurant with good ambiance. Good portion size in comparison to the price. Food didn't have unnecessary Indian spices so the taste didn't get Indianised yet they tasted good. Will recommend this place to people looking to try Chinese cuisine.
Food was good. Had the red Thai curry. One error - curry needs more lime leaves, and lemon rind..And please remove cauliflower - this just made the curry taste uncomfortably close to Indian mix veg curry..

The Cascade is a simple restaurant that serves Oriental and Chinese. This typical Indian - Chinese food joint has a pleasant and soothing ambience. The menu is large on its variety for non-veg diners and there and multiple options under every meal course. The portions are large and a single dish can be served for a couple of people. The staff , service and presentation of the food is great. Personally I have never found anything on this menu that has thrilled my palette beyond words but this is definitely a place one can host family outings or a corporate get together.
We had here for Dinner with good service. Ambiance was good. Food quantity was good. Had Dragon Chicken for started which is always our fav...Chicken Hot & Sour Soup was very filling & fab, garnished with lot of herbs...really liked it :) For Main course we had Thai Seafood Rice, Chilly Chicken, Banana Leaf Fish (i didn't like it for its essence) which were okok...I wished it were little more spicy...Desserts were the best - Fried Ice cream & Hot Chocolate Brownie Ice cream..both complemented each other.

Something Chinese/Asian/Thai/Seafood is all me & my friends wanted last night, and their it was 'The Cascade'. The ambiance was good,service even better.We ordered Dragon Chicken, Chicken Hot Sour Soup for Starters followed by Fish in Banana Leaf,Thai Spicy Fried Rice,Chilly Chicken,Egg Fried Rice for Main Course ending with desserts Fried Ice-cream & Brownie with Ice-Cream.
From Starters,the Chicken was good but didn't like the soup at all.Well I would say Fish in Banana Leaf was good not great.
Dessert was great.I would recommend the Fried Ice-cream.

The restaurant is in the 3 floor in the building with Words and Worth. Their speciality is Asian. The menu is wide spread. You are sure to be treated with authentic Asian food that makes you want to go back for more. The price may be on the higher side. But you'll feel justified for its taste and quantity. The reason I gave this restaurant a 5/5 rating is for its service. After our entree, when we ordered for the main course, the waiter told us that we had ordered too much, and the quantity for each dish we ordered is quiet large for our group. We decided to take off two dishes from our order. When the food arrived, we were convinced that we did indeed were about to order too much. I feel it's things like these that makes the customers very satisfied. We were properly informed of the quantity and recommended the best option for us.
The Cascade is my favourite for Chinese dishes. Been there many times with my family and friends. U cannot complain on their food quality. It was started off with the Manchow Soup which had the spiciness it required. The quantity was more than expected. The soup was served with crispy noodle sticks to enhance the taste of the soup. The not so catchy looking crispy mushroom was quite tasty and the Chilly garlic potato wedges were actually cooked quite well and that was the best item ordered so far. Then came the main course which was Fried Rice and Tofu Thai curry and a glass of Passion fruit mojito to wash it down.
The tofu was too rubbery but the taste of the gravy made my eyes close. The passion fruit mojito was too sweet for my liking.
The service was excellent and the food was delivered to the table quicker than expected. The place, though not too attractive, was neat. Overall, I must say that it has been a pleasant experience.
Update: I tried Crispy Corn and it wasn't fried properly. The momos I ordered were okayish. I really haven't tried the non-vegetarian dishes yet.
Always a safe place to fall back for Chinese food. Perfectly located, convenient for adyar, besant nagar and Thiruvanmiyur. Very reasonable price for the quantity served. Always open to making minor changes to suit your taste buds. Friendly staff
I've been to two Cascades over many many years - the one at Nungambakkam and more recently to the one at Besant Nagar. They have never failed to please with the quality and quantity of the food served there. Service is adequate and courteous. And given the quantity, is a very affordable place for every kind of foodie.
Had a great dinner at cascade.. The ambience is decent.. The waiters are courteous and the service is good.. I had the dumplings basket which is an assortment of dumplings of chicken, & seafood.. Then for the main course we had seafood fried rice.. The quantity was big.. And the food tasted great.. To accompany we ordered a mutton fry.. Which was done to crisp.. It went well with rice.. The price is a little on the higher side but it was a wholesome meal nevertheless..

Noodles tossed with garlic,lots of veggies(Cabbage and Carrot), Chicken and sauses stirred up together
made it a complete meal. Soya sauce, Chilli vinegar sauce and Tomato sauce complemented the noodles

Finding a family place with good food in Besant nagar is not so easy. The cascade was one of the options, the smell of lemongrass welcomed us. We had dragon roll, made very compact and the sauce served with it was a hit. Chili garlic noodles and crispy lamb in chili sauce. I did not find it spicy but my mother found it really spicy. The ice kachang, a Malaysian dessert, was vanilla ice cream surrounded with hard scrapped ice and rosemilk essence, with fruits and jelly. The quantity is huge, service is good and a tad expensive too!

If you want to have great Chinese food which is good in quantity and quality, this should be your stop. This restaurant has been in Besant Nagar for a long time. Due to a bad experience with the nungambakam branch, I had been avoiding this one. But I realized it is wrong to compare that way! The chicken and lamb were tender and perfectly cooked , while steamed fish was soft and perfect. Ambience and service was also good. Perfect place for yummy Chinese food!

Its one of the trusted Chinese restaurants in the city. Ordered take away recently. I love their momos and manchow soup. So I ordered chicken momos and chicken manchow soup, both were great.
This is a place where I can just walk in and have one soup which will satiate me. Their portions are enough for two good eaters and three poor eaters. Especially their soups! The taste is unmatchable but they're definitely overpriced.

Food - Usually awesome. I've had some average meals here though. On our last visit, we tried their paper wrapped chicken. It was a unique dish that the other Asian restaurants do not offer. Their steam boat soup is an experience in itself. Soup is served so beautifully here. Their dim sum basket is a treat to the taste buds. I've tried their Volcano chicken, bell pepper chicken and sapo chicken many times. They have always been a delight. I love their menu. It is rather extensive with a wide choice. I also like the fact that they have a lot of seafood and beef options as well.

Cascade is the best place for Chinese in chennai without a shadow of a doubt. Their golden Fried prawns is my favourite they can offer. Their garlic noodles also taste very good. But the highlight in the main course is fish wrapped in garlic leaves.
Had been here a week before for a team lunch. The space is good. As it was noon, the ambience is quite dull, but hope it will be really good at night which is evident from the lighting provided.
Coming to the food, I loved the starters especially the minced crab dumplings.
No problem with the service too.

This place has been an absolute favourite. A visit to the Besant Nagar beach was incomplete without dropping in to The Cascade. Over the years I've visited plenty of other Chinese restaurants but not once was I served Volcano Chicken worth comparing to the one that is served here. The place is a hidden gem. Once found, you will keep going back over and over again.
Running low on your wallet but your taste buds won't have anything but the best? Cascade would be the answer to your query. Very calm n pleasant ambience and very friendly staff. Their Chilly beef is really explicit, there is no match for this one. Pair it with Szechwan pan fried noodles and you are good to go (filling for two people of good appetite). Stomach full to the brim but can't resist that dessert? Go ahead and order yourself a Chocolate Brownie sizzler; it's the real bomb. Bon appetite. :)
This place was very close to where I lived. This is most visited place as a family from my childhood for dinner. As each of us liked some or other dish here.

This is located on one of the side roads along the main
street, it is not one of those flashy we-are-here come-inside calling out type
of places. It’s got a very modest entry board and is situated in the 3rd
floor. Once you enter you know you are in cascade with its typical brown beige
theme carried over from its other outlets. The service we had was amazing, from
getting us seated to the courteous response, there is absolutely no complaint
there.
We had ordered a crab meat soup and it was thick and yum.
There was no other flavor and there wasn’t any necessary either. For main
course, it was Singapore rice noodle, which the waiter had asked for
confirmation again before leaving, more like “Sir, are you sure you wanna go
for that?”. The moment he raised that doubtful eyebrows, I was sure I’d be
going for that. Along with it, we asked for chili cheese prawns.
The noodle that we had waited for was exactly like the idiappam
that is found in Kerala - Idiappam with added flavours. Each noodle was hair
thin and had a flavor to it too. And personally it was a pleasant different
experience. Given a choice I would prefer something else next time, but no
regrets trying this new variety of noodle. Typical of cascade, it came in a huge
quantity and the two of us had to order only one to fill. Suprisingly the
chilli cheese prawn did not come in the same mammoth portion as expected and we
ended up having a lot of noodle without a side. The dish was well cooked, light,
a bit sweet and a lot cheesy. On the whole, a good experience than a happy one.
This hotel is near to Besant nagar .
And good for people who loves Chinese food.
I will prefer this hotel for good test and service.

To start with, the environment was very good with thoughtfully designed pleasant ambiance. It will make a good choice for friends, family or a team get together. The food was really good with the perfect blend of flavors and spices. As usual, we tried noodles, chicken and sea food starters. All were perfectly cooked and tasted really well.
My advice would be to keep you order simple and small so that you can enjoy the taste to the fullest rather than to over order and dump it in the end.

A perfect place for a get together! A very different menu and an amazing experience of food. Don't miss out the starters. Started with soup and vegetarian starters. The starters were so good that we forgot to order main course. I should mention Fried ice cream. A crispy layer of coconut and ice cream. Made our day. Keep up the good service Cascade!

Never been there. Tasted their food at my friend's place. They had a buffet. Spring rolls were delicious. Macaroni was just macaroni.

When it comes to Chinese, Cascade holds its place one among top five. Remarkable Chinese food. We were like 12-15 in number, went for a friend's farewell treat. We ordered almost everything in the menu.. Right From the soup to the dessert. First of all it tasted W-O-W. And second of all cheque din exceed 5k. For a 2 digit crowd, it was fairly decent. Special mention about the chocolate cake, fluffy n soft, like a fat baby's cheeks. Be it noodles or fried rice or chicken or fish or prawns.. #Sooper-dooper :)

When it comes to Chinese Cascade is wat strikes out mind , Went with family on a late evening ... It wasn't that busy we chose our seats sat comfortably .... We ordered for egg fried rice, chilly chicken, steamed momo, dragon chicken, manchow soup, fried ice cream and mango pudding.
Manchow soup: hot creamy, saucy spicy and yummy was perfect
Steamed momo :perfectly steamed soft and tender with their yummy side sauces
Dragon chicken : our all time favourite hot and sweat diced chicken with cashew nuts we never forget to order this amazing dish when ever we done in at Chinese retardants.
Egg fried rice & chilly chicken : the usually stuff yet good ....
Fried ice creams : probably one of the best dessert in cascade just melts in your mouth...
Mango pudding : it was over frozen or chilled I guess the pudding was little thick more of like thick ice cream ... But tasted good though ..
Only disappointment is that the head waiter tried to rush is out while having dessert and after the meal.. It was there closing time yes 11:15pm but we were not the only one in the restaurant there were many t the restaurant but they tried to rush us out by giving the bill without even asking, and keep reminding us that it's time up we are closing the restaurant ... It was quite annoying .. Had it been the head waiter hasn't rushed us out it would have been great ... But still we would go back there because we are Chinese food lovers than service lovers ..... Hope then next time we go we get better treatment ..
They provide really good food .. the quality is good. Very good ambience although its sad that they seemed to have closed their roof top...their manchow doup is too delicious. ..but the quantity is too much. . They can probably offer in smaller portions n adjust the price accordingly. .. its a pity that most times its relatively less crowded ...
They can also have a buffet menu that perfectly covers their variety of dishes which changes everyday in order to cover their specialities. This should attract more customers.
We generally go thr for soup on a rainy or cool day n to enjoy their starters cos tat fills our stomach before choosing the main course. ..
An awesome place to head out for yummy food.. I love their soups as well as the quality and quantity of their servings. Personal favourites are their Volcano Chicken, Beef Stir Fried, West lake lamb soup. Additional points for awesome and quick service.

This place is exceptionally generous with their serving size. So prepare to share!

This place has lovely veg food & yummy fried rice. A place for family & loved ones. It's not that expensive as well. Staffs are really nice. Makes you feel like at home.
Cascade Chinese kitchen truly a Chinese restaurant. They will give chop sticks if u need. The amount of food they provide is more than we can actually consume. We can order a soup and can be shared by 4 persons. Manchow soup is good here. Ordered a fried rice and noodles. This is quite enough for 4 of us. Ambience is quite good. Price is high as the amount of food they provide per dish is too much.
The quantity of food is higher. If you don't eat too much, then don't order more than 1 dish. Quality is good. Avoid the dimsums here. Ambience is good.
Went in for dinner last night.! The starters was good and we ordered around three different fried rice but it had no difference except the colour. Even the starters was of same base sauce and style. But tummy was filled. !
Wanted to head to a place for dinner after Sunday church and we ended up in Cascade.
Ambience wise its OK. Service was quick. Food was OK. We had chicken momos, crispy fried chicken, burnt garlic noodles and fried rice. Food wasn't very tasty. Maybe our palate was different. The main course is quite expensive. But quantity is very good.

It's pure Chinese ! First of all I got over whelmed with the variety of choices that we get in Chinese cuisine . Three of us being non veg , we ordered few massive non veg dishes .
For being a non vegetarian - the food was absolutely amazing . the chicken gilded basket , volcano prawns , banana leaf baked fish , spicy Thai rice - absolutely spot on . No complaints .
But for my other friend who is vegetarian , was completely disappointed , she felt that the veg food wasn't good ! She claimed the place not suitable for vegetarians !

The service was pretty good ! And the quantity of the food just makes you go wow ! Everyone likes a huge bowl of soup right ? That's exactly what you get here ! If you order for two ! It can easily satisfy three !

This restaurant has a beautiful ambience, located in a place not very difficult to find but the service lacks in speed. It takes time for your order to reach your table. And when it comes about taste the dumplings here are amazing in taste. Only selective dishes from the menu are good to go for. Did not like the Pan fried noodles as the same was undercooked when I ordered. Otherwise this is a good restaurant to go with family/friends
Only draw back is that the service is very very slow
I visited cascade besantnagar last week for my birthday treat. While entering ,nicely received and good ambient. And ordered America chopzy noodle and valcano chicken dry and five coloured sweet corn fried rice.
We really enjoyed the taste of the food and separate spending with friends. Even at the time of 10:30pm they receive us very happily , u can realise their passion on food serving from this. 😀
We loved it. And Bill amour 1600 with tax for five persons.
