I absolutely loved every bit of my experience with Mash Cafe. From the minute I entered , the hospitality and cleanliness impressed me. Then came their super elaborate and unique menu which left me reallllly confused about my order and I ended up over-eating because I couldn't stop it ! Their food is so good that it would be a waste if you don't eat tummy full ❤️ I personally loved their cottage cheese steak, devilled paneer and corn, stuffed mushrooms and hot Cox sandwich. I'll definitely visit again to try more from their menu🤤
I had the paneer sizzler and nothing else. It was so apt for dinner and it was one of the best sizzlers I have had.
This place is a must try for their sizzler plates.
Its a compact place near besant nagat beach to hangout with friends once in a while.
Ordered mexican burger, penne pasta, a chicken wrap along with some starters fish fingers and a chicken dish.
Quantity is a little less than usual, but tasty.

Never expected such quality food from a small cafe like Mash. Situated just opposite to Besant Nagar beach, Mash offers excellent food with both indoor and outdoor seating options. Only downside is that the cafe is not that spacious. But in terms of food quality and service, I highly recommend this place.
A good place for a sea view. The place is compact but it is good . The food is nice. Try steaks . Its a wonderful place for rooftop restaurant lovers. And has a good sea view.
A good ambience during the daylight. If you have to vist, i would prefer the morning time post sunrise. it opens at 7 and you can have a good breakfast, with zomato gold membership this place was a steal! I thoroughly enjoyed their mashed potato with sizzler, their pastas and burgers. They got a good ambience with the place all lit up with fairy lights by the beach side tables. Mash has a good view. The outdoor set up is one of the best places to enjoy the sea view during a cloudy day or a rainy day. Toastada is a must try. Nice yet pocket friendly place to hang out in.
Splendid beach view, the small opening was just amazing! The chicken sizzler are top notch, just was too good and also the pastas! Can’t miss out on the top beach view and the amazing sizzler!
A very late review, but I made it a point to write it out. We visited the cafe on a weekend post a tiring beach walk. And a good food was all we were waiting for. We made no mistake chosing the place. Right from the service, the staff , the ambience and the food we were thoroughly satisfied.
We had spicy potato wedges, potato cheese pop, stuffed mushroom and spicy paneer Styx for starters. Cream of mushroom soup. Pasta Alfredo was top notch. The perfect Italian pasta taste. We enjoyed our meal
This place is always special to me since the time I landed in Chennai. Beautiful scenic view of the Bay will just make ur evening. Love their food as well as few drinks we had. Love their service as well.
Nicely located on beach side. With the cool breeze from the sea flowing in.. the experience is awesome. We had zuppa chicken soup which was good. Pesto grilled chicken had a lip smacking pesto sauce .... It was just perfect. Stir fried prawn was also great. Would surely love to visit this place again.

I ordered aribatta and basil pastas. The quantity and taste was good. They have option for sitting indoors as well as the ones which offers view of bessy. The service was quick. Only that their combos are not available for zomato gold.

The ambience of the restaurant is amazing. The food was average. A one time visit. The service was a bit late. Need to improve in the service.
The food was really delightful! The burgers are amazing. Highly recommend the mash cafe half pounder! Trust me on this! 💯 The kalamari was okayish. And devilish chicken had great flavour but the portion size was a bit less. Overall , I rate it pretty high. The seabreeze along with the stunning view and lighting just adds up to create the perfect ambience!
Although this place has less seating capacity, the ambience and service is really good. One can enjoy the beach view from the restaurant if at all you are lucky enough to find less traffic on Besant Nagar road.
We ordered chicken steak, beaf steak, chicken wings and veg burger. All the non veg items were really awesome. The veg burger was really a disappointment. I didn't like it. It was a simple burger.

It is a small place. You can go here with your friends or on a date. The food is very tasty though the quantity is little less. If you have zomato gold then it is the best place to visit near Elliot Beach Besant Nagar.
Great food, loved the seafood soup; Prawns, the burger the fish everything was simply great; quantity is just enough for one person so you need to order right to have enough for the table; I’m very pleased with their taste and service, only con they lack a little with cleanliness of utensils, and other amenities

Best place that I have visited during my college days . The amazing fish and chips and the chocolate sizzler was too amazing. Enjoying the Sea breeze was extra comforting .

Amazing steak alert! This place serves some really tasty sizzling mouth watering steak. Please do order mix meat sizzler and double marinated steak if you're out for a good meat experice. Smiling staff too.

This is a nice place if you want to have a pleasant dinner along the beachside during the evening.I really loved the open roof top with a hint of sea breeze.First is the fish fingers,it was really crispy with the dip given,it was so soft on the inside and crisp on the outside.So it’s a thumbs up.The second is the crumb fried chicken with spaghetti,melted cheese was poured over the fried chicken,actually i didn’t like it,the spaghetti was good and the crumb fried chicken was also good but together it didn’t really taste that well.So personally it was a no for this dish.Then finally its a classic chicken sandwich with fries,it was a basic nothing really different.So it also tasted quiet normal.Can really go for it.The price of all these items were really worth it.

I have been visited first time to Chennai and my colleagues took me to this cafe. Pasta at this place is lovely and one should try it. The quality food this cafe serves is unbeatable. I will definitely visit this restaurant again when I will go the Chennai.

Ambience - 2/5 coz the place is very tiny and not air conditioned and in a place like Chennai, that is a real disappointment!
Food- We order potato cheese balls, a hot veggie sandwich and a tomato basil veg pasta and I must say - it was truly yum! We loved everything so much!!!!

Amazing place to hang out with family and friends for very good quality delicious food.
The cafe stood upto the expectations. The Cafe is located next to Besant nagar Hotel thalapakatti biryani. The Cafe has a nice ambience with the beach view.
The food served here was just awesome. I tried fish fry and chips, cheesy chicken wrap and beef smokey classic mini burger.
Fish fry and Chips --> 5 out of 5 highly recommended

The chef should check with the customer how they would like the beef. Ours was well done making it rubbery and tough to eat.
Pasta arriabiata has less of tomato sauce and more of vegetables. A different Arabiatta pasta.

Nice serene place with beach view. Service is good and food is delivered quickly. If your looking for spicy food, check while ordering as the food is a bit bland and on less spicey. Amazing place to sit in outdoor, beware of humidity. They also have a closed air conditioned place.
We went there to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The food and ambience was really great and being Friday evening, we were the only people in the restaurant. We decided on 4 star because the sizzling brownie was stuck to the hot plate. Other than that all the dishes that we ordered were really good esp the cold coffee!

Ambience: Ambience was nice, they have a beautiful outdoor seating area which looks over the beach, but it would most ideally used around dinner time and on a cool night in Chennai, for lunch that looked unbearable- hence opted for the indoor A/c seating. Place was cool and small, and very simple.
What We Ordered:
Weinerschnitzel and Coke Float
Pasta Boulette and a Mint Lemon Cooler
Weiner schnitzel, this was my first time having it and I'm not a seasoned beef eater- but the meat was exquisitely tender. My only issue was that I felt it was fried a little too long? I'd have preferred it a little lighter brown (not that it tasted burnt) Also it was a little on the oily side too. The Schnitzel (such a funny name :P) came with a dollop of coleslaw which was nice, but could do with a few more veggies -consisted of cabbage and carrot as far as I noticed. Mayo dip was good, might be better garlicky, and schintzel good have been seasoned better. But all in all, I cleaned it all up and I was thoroughly satisfied.
Coke Float: This was a let down, coke was flat and not very cold. And the ice cream ceased to exist as it had melted away into a pool of coke vanilla froth. The ice cream tasted milky when it had melted and therefore ruined the whole coke float making it taste odd. Was excited to try this one, but I was let down .
Pasta Boulette-: Star of the Day, my significant other loved this. She's a pasta lover and told me the pasta was Perfect and I had to agree it was great, with cut up veggies parboiled and the sauce perfectly seasoned, it was a treat to eat. The meatballs where a perfect mix of spicy, tender and meaty. This was a hit out of the park. Excellent.
Mint lime Cooler- was great, and really helped me wash down my Schnitzel (lol) it was great, not too sour not too sweet.
As we were about to wrap up, another couple had come in and ordered a sizzler. The one drawback of this place - if opting for the air-conditioning, is that if someone orders a sizzler , be absolutely prepared with a gas mask, unless you'd like to be hacking and coughing uncontrollably for the rest of your meal. Being a small room, the smoke doesn't easily dissipate and lingers.
All on all great place, VFM pricing. Will definitely be back <3

What a wonderful place to sit, relax and eat with a great view of the beach and the road leading to it. The food is a delight to enjoy. Soft, succulent, tasty burgers with crunchy crisps and a delicious coleslaw to go with it. What a treat. The staff are courteous and kind. Definately recommend and will go again.
Very nice ambience. Double marinated steak is super tasty. Double thumps up for zuppa mushroom soup, they have unique varieties in their menu,sea view from the sit out is simply awesome..the service is very good, they are humble and polite, good place for breakfast, lunch and dinner, price is reasonable.

They got a noice spot with a view of the beach. The prices aren't heavy on the pocket and their menu has something for everyone. If you're nearby and need a spot to chill and have food, this can be it for you.
A fav rooftop restaurant facing the beach and it gives a cozy Goan place kind of vibes on weekends with lights and music. Food options are good for both veg and non veg. Vegetarian people can try their white pasta or stroganoff.
