The eatery that Chennai needs & deserves. Loved the fusion cuisine in the pastas. Dessert crepes and of course the Indian Tacos and Korean Friend Chicken. Bruschettas too were lip smacking. Kudos to the team. And you will be seeing a lot more of me.
tempting food with calm environment. Unique interiors. I'm lovin it
Great place to set sail on a gastronomic journey. Great service, relaxing ambiance and exotic fnb options. What more can a foodie an avid dinner ask for.
*Must try*
MUSHROOM RAVIOLI - it is beyond delicious, with just the right amount of the most finely chopped mushroom filing bursting with flavour, the pasta is of the perfect texture neither too thick nor too thin and adds it's own contribution of flavoring to the overall taste too, the sauce is nice and creamy and is of the right amount, it doesnt sink the pasta and overpower it nor is it too less to make it dry. Every bite takes you one step closer to heaven.
Goli sodas- super fun and refreshing as always, popping the goli always excites me though I never get it done neatly, so if you're cracked like I am, go ahead, get one and embarrass yourself.
You really cant go wrong with anything you order from here, everything is delicious be it the olive hummus crostini, the walnut pesto, the tomato mascarpone, the underbaked cake. I'm sure anything you order is going to taste good.
Might be a little on the pricey side but worth the penny!
Ambience is super cool too, however the seating is a little limited and I'd suggest booking a table before going. They have an outdoor arrangement for gatherings on request as well and the decorations for the same are super cute with fairy lights but make sure you dont pick a hot day. Also if you're lucky you might just run into anirudh ravichander when you're there!
Maniratnam’s office now changed into a amazing dine-in restaurant. This restaurant is located interior of Alwarpet. The place is very soothing and so the food are. We ordered a normal pasta, Lime Goli Soda and their signature dessert Tiramisu.. everything tasted good, we felt the pasta was a bit bland but the Tiramisu was spot on. The Ambience was great felt the food wr lil expensive and yes its definitely one of my fav restaurants to be revisited.. 😇
Fan of the wall art and the seating here. A wonder at the dead end of street.

Ambience:
This is such a quaint place that is located at the dead end of a street. It is so calm and pleasant. Except that on weekends it is overflowing with crowd. The outdoor space is beautiful.
Food:
Tried out the Parsely garlic fries (3/5), Truffle fries(4/5), Masala Lemonade(4/5), Tofu fry(4/5), Aglio e olio veg pasta (4/5), Penne white sauce pasta (3/5), Non veg pasta (4/5), Sweet and Spicy Kimchi (4/5) and Theobroma (5/5). The Theobroma is a speciality here and it never disappoints. Loved all the other dishes also and enjoyed them really well. The pasta is especially done quite well here.
Service and staff:
The service is pretty good and they have friendly staff.
VFM:
A great place to hang out with your friends. You are sure to enjoy.
Husband and I wanted to take our fur baby out for beach and while returning back was checking for pet friendly restaurants and this one popped up. So we decided we will give this place a try. We got the outdoor seating since we had our dog with us. It was nice and cosy with lush greens around. We didn’t explore much inside. Coming to food we ordered one Korean fried chicken and then a chicken ravioli. Both were good. The starter portion was huge for two people. The chicken was fried with nice crisp outside and tender chicken inside. The ravioli is a must try. The pasta sauce was cheesy and I always like my pasta to be saucy and this place served the way I like it. Will definitely visit and again and try their other dishes too. Felt the value for money was good since the portions are huge and the taste was good
Ambience - 4/5 (for the outside seating and special mention for allowing pets)

What a pleasant and peaceful place ... beautiful decor and ambience.. was searching for good breakfast places in Chennai and this caught my eye
There is valet available.
The food: I ordered the scrambled eggs with cheese and mushroom it was soft and delicious , the hashbrown was amazing .the only issue I had was the bread on the side cannot be eaten dry requires a little butter or jam or a little syrup to go with .the juice was good .the omlette was yum .the cornflakes crusted french toast was so moist and soft..Soo yum..a must try..the coffee was good too..overall it's a good experience...
Best place for dine in ☺️ 🤘 🤘 In love with #theobroma ♥️ #steaks😍💕
A good place to renew urself..the place is calm and the best thing is that its at the end of the street and is quiet with almost zero disturbance..
The Under Baked Chocolate Cake was..♥️
The best under baked cake we've had till date 🤤 It was tender and moist with the perfect crumb. The chocolate inside was warm and deliciously gummy! Good outdoor seating.

This place has a beauty of its own. The ambience is very appealing. So peaceful. Located at the end of the street, this place is a must visit. We went for breakfast and the food is really good. The chia seed pudding was our favourite. Sausages cooked to perfection. Omelettes and hash browns, just so perfect. The staff were very friendly and polite with utmost patience. The outdoor seating is
beautifully made. Surrounded by a small garden like. The prices when you order seems fine. The final bill can show sort of an over pricy feel, they add all the taxes and what not. But I still feel it was worth it!
If you prefer ambience over taste and quantity then this is a very good place to hang out with your group or that special one. But you'll have trouble finding this place as it is inside a shared office space. Taste and quantity is not up to the mark for the price you pay.
A very cute and neat eatery joint.
Great food ! Quiet ambience !! Good service 😄 Although a bit difficult to locate If not for Google maps.
All the dishes we ordered tasted fine with no disappointments.
Dishes tried : images attached
Spicy Betroot patties
Spicy Sambhal Chicken (Do try!)
Customised white sauce chicken pasta
Butter Garlic with Black pepper Noodles
Desserts -
Devil's food cake (Must try !)
Sticky toffee pudding ( they could have probably named it Muffins) :)

Summer House Eatery was an exciting find.
My esteemed observations :
Rich ambience.
Uber cool outdoor seating.
Sustenance I ordered :
Beet Aracini - 4/5 (Starter)
Pasta with Butter and white wine - 5/5
Bacon - 5/5
Theobroma - 5/5 ( Dessert)
Detailed review :
First of, the thing you will notice is the dim lit setting of the restaurant which is nice from a romantic point of view.
We went on a Friday night and it was relatively less crowded. So less, that all the waiters were staring at us a little which made us feel awkward.
Coming to the food, all of them was absolutely lip-smacking delicious!
The Beet Aracini - Subtle flavor of the beets along with a rich cheese sauce made it a real good starter.
The Bacon - It was out of this world. I can still taste those salty fats in my taste Buds.
The Pasta - Pasta was so well cooked. The spaghetti was firm and held it's own. The sauce was rich and flavorful with a hint of the white wine aroma. I'm not an avid pasta eater. But I loved this one.
Theobroma - The six layer cake. Worth every penny. It was soft and the layers were absolutely mind boggling.
Quaint and beautiful place to eat at...staff was courteous.....we ordered Dynamite shrimp, strawberry and pineapple soda, Vietnamese coffee, spaghetti carbonara, ravioli and butter garlic with black pepper rice for dessert we had the devil's food cake which was divine and brownie and ice cream which was just okay... Lovely place ..must visit!!!
Firstly, pre booking is recommended on weekends. This place is a bit expensive. Main course and desserts were good compared to starters. Quite a posh one to hangout.
☀️The Summer House Eatery was a serendipitous find. We didn't like the restaurant we were at and decided to find something that was 'walking distance' from it, and chanced upon The Summer House Eatery.
.
.
☀️ Tucked away in a quiet residential colony you just might miss it, despite using Google Maps. Persist and you'll walk into this charming place that will instantly relax your senses. I love how it is done up and the greys and wood tones add that classy touch.
.
.
☀️We had the Fresh Pineapple, Ginger & Chia Seeds Juice and it was refreshing. Bonus points for the steel straw!
The Baked Cheesecake didn't disappoint either. It was light, just the right amount of sweet with a delicious crust.
.
.
I loved the whole feel of the place and the warm service added to it, despite being a tad slow. We couldn't stay for long but I plan to be back soon, for a proper meal.
.
This place is located in residential area and in a very narrow lane. Google map will just confuse you. Need to call the staff for the direction. But once you enter the restaurant this effort looks worth. They have outdoor seating arrangement also with garden surrounding which gives a very peaceful and serene environment. The inside seating won't be able to cater to large crowd . The service is good and staff were quick in response. The food is very delicious and full marks to the chef . Not a single fault can be pointed out with the food. Definitely a place to visit again and again. The prices were not on higher side looking the the quantity served but the food quality will compensate that. Must visit for Italian and Asian food.
Korean fried chicken-Simply awesome and must try
Fish fritters-okay not bad
Mazemen- Very good and flavour was unique
Affagato-Good for coffee lovers
Tiramisu-Good
Just one thing to say that it was something that made me totally amazed.....................................................................
Neat space, serving some really good salads and quinoa bowls - which isn't common in most cafes, so the menu is the plus! Also great as a space to host small get togethers. It's slightly difficult to locate considering its tucked away in a corner of a residential colony, off ttk road.
It's located in a very quiet residential area , they have vallet parking ,the food was really tasty and chicken ravioli stood out ,it was a great experience and it's a lovely place to hangout with friends 💕

One of the most Calmest place having a welcoming atmosphere with swanky interiors
Devil’s Food cake : Moist , airy and rich Chocolate cake with a hint of coffee layered with thick Callebaut chocolate ganache
It is heated warm and goes really well with the chocolate ice cream
Onion and Spinach Flatbread :
Caramelised onions , sautéed spinach in bechamel sauce with feta and mozzarella
Was very thin and the cheese was fantastic ❤️
Cost₹300 slightly pricey !
The Theobroma was amazing. It was worth every single rupee. The ambience was also quite good and peaceful.
Located in a quiet residential area, the place looks very sweet, just the way I'd imagine a cafe to look like doing complete justice to the name it holds. The waiters are very courteous and friendly and the cafe looks spic and span.
Coming to the food, we were not very hungry that evening, ended up ordering just a couple of dishes - Spicy Sambal, the sauce they gave with the noodles tasted extremely good - such a win win! Guysss, I was not given the veggies that were mentioned on the menu. Request you chefs to cross check before you place the plate on the table for the customers.
Friend had a Sphagetti Carbonara which she didn't really fancy. Infact it was too bland for her palate, she got it re-done. However, she wasn't happy with that either. We also shared a vietnamese coffee, it was nice.
Perfect lunch/ dinner date stop.
For all the smokers out there, you can take a breather, they have a smoking area. Gowthami Ravi
Thanks for having us, team! Keep up the good work and get better! :D #sweetcafe
This incredible place has become one of my favourites in the city, with its delicious food and beautiful/peaceful ambience. They have one of cities best Avocado on Toast, Pastas (especially the white wine/ and the bierre sauce pasta) as well as flatbreads! Literally everything on their menu is incredible. So much love for this place.
Best place for a Saturday afternoon lunch! They've got some amazing cheese based starters, pasta and mains. The ambience is cozy and a really nice place to go with friends and family. Aesthetic too, so you can take an pic or two while waiting on your food!
Been here twice and will continue to visit. The ambience is very serene, both the outdoor and indoor. It's an ideal place for meet ups.
The food ticks all the boxes, the menu is simple not complicated which actually helps in ordering what you actually want. The starters are to die for, my favourites are the arancini (veg & non veg). The pastas are a must try here, they have from the simple spaghetti to the delicious raviolis.
The drinks could be made better to accompany the dishes better. Desserts were good, but not as the appetizers and mains.
This eatery is set amidst beautiful location filed with contemporary interiors and also bunch of trees and plants. Y’all must have brunch here for they got the amazing picks of meals and breakfast items!
This lovely place is tucked a bit inside. They do have vallet parking. Ordered a veg and non veg small eats which tasted great. The main course was fantastic too. The only problem was the food portion which could have been more for the price paid. Overall a good experience.
This place is a little hard to locate....but otherwise it is little eatery with a soothing ambience and fine decor....the staff are really polite & courteous...we had the the Korean fried chicken & the Grilled chicken pizza ....
The Korean chicken was delicious whereas the Grilled chicken pizza was just right(nothing special)...
Finally for dessert we had the Sticky Toffee Pudding which was nice and sweet though the quantity was a little less........ overall it was a nice experience...
The summer house eatry was located inside a small street and navigation was difficult. Ambience was excellent . We ordered korean chicken and chicken ravioli. Korrean chicken tasted amazing being dry and saucy at same time. The chicken ravioli tasted good but came with only exaclty pieces of ravioli which was a huge disappointment. We ordered a mineral water which mrp was 20rs but we were charged 50rs for that.
Ambience 10/10
Food 10/10
Quantity 3/10
Rate 8/10
I wanna rate this restaurant 5/5 but because of the huge disappointment of ravioli quantity of only 4 pieces ravioli and charging 50rs for mineral water im giving it a 3.5 rate
Ambience (the outside one is really good), overall is good.. the chicken ravioli was good but the pasta was just a little thick.. if that could be thinner 5 stars! As it's more pricey than other dishes it could have been thinner to be perfect.. Cakes taste delicious and not like store bought cakes. Looking forward to visit more often. Service is good as well..
Lovely & peaceful ambience, little difficult to find the restaurant... food & service was really great... best place to hang out in the evening with friends & family
Beautiful place, lovely ambience, good food and good service.
Went here for breakfast (breakfast closes early, so be mindful of the time). We ordered quinoa fried rice, caramelized onions and feta cheese crepes and Korean sauteed tofu along with cafe latte and a devil's chocolate cake. The crepe was absolutely delicious!! The right kind of crepe batter with amazing filling. Rest of the food was really good as well, and two of us managed to finish all of it!
Would definitely recommend the place.
This is, I guess a hidden gem. I loved the ambiance and the food was so delicious. Must check out their pastas. And they also have ravioli, which very few places in Chennai have on their menu. I would definitely go back and try out their morning breakfast once and definitely for more dinners.
Peaceful ambience..They have both indoor and outdoor.. Food quality s good..But vegetarian dining has limited main course..service was good.
The ambience of this place was great and the service was decent.
Amongst the main course options, I tried the pink sauce pasta that was really good.
I would recommend the theobroma pastry in the dessert section that was absolutely splendid.
Such a beautiful and aesthetic place in the heart of chennai. Surrounded by a lush garden, this cafe offers continental food and breakfast. What I ordered were, Dynamite prawns, The obroma, classic hot chocolate and grilled chicken flat bread. The flag bread tasted really good, the quality of the ingredients was very well felt. The dynamite prawns were tossed in the house special sauce and tasted delicious. TheObroma was one of the best cakes I've had in Chennai recently. The hot chocolate totally dissapointed me. The consistency was too poor and watery. And 165 bucks for it was really bad for this quality. The overall pricing was a little bit too expensive to me. The ambience was really satisfying and perfect for date nights. Would recommend this place. A total of 4/5 considering the high pricing and hot chocolate's bad quality.
Vanakkam guys!
The summer house eatery is totally an amazing place tucked away in corner street to drop by in the evenings with your family and friends. It has a peaceful ambience with carefully lit interiors with a little tall tables or the sofa was low or I'm just short.
Now coming to the substantial part.
Truffle Fries -5/5(simplythe best)Thick cut fries very crispy on the outside and tender on the inside with a sprinkle of parmesan cheese.
Korean fried chicken -3.5/5 The chicken was crispy on outside and perfectly cooked flesh. Tangy, yet with a hint of sweet. The aroma yelled KOREAN all over the place. Must have if you wanna try new tastes.
Grilled Chicken Flat Bread- 4.5/5 The crispy thin crust pizza tasted very flavorful was not the regular shape you would expect it to be, usual yet exciting to eat.
Peanut Butter and Nutella Milkshake- 3/5 you get what you expect. Too much PB for my taste tho
Affogato-4/5 The coffee stings you little harder than usual and carries the vanilla icecream float perfectly to make a good blend.
Underbaked Chocolate Cake-5/5 Chocolate cake was very moist with a pinch of caramel flavour and it also had callebaut chocolate creamy chunks which is served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Service was extremely satisfying and surprisingly quick given the crowd they had.
Overall experience was truly delightful, didn't leave a big hole in my pocket. Would definitely recommend for a casual early dinner or the late evening snacks. Unfortunately had to sit on the inside, outdoor garden seats would be fresh.
P.s: This my first review here, critics welcome.
Nestled away in the quiet streets of Alwarpet, lies this melting pot of good food and relaxing ambience. It's glass windows make it a treat to visit the restaurant when it rains.
The food is scrumptious, the korean spiced chicken and the chicken ravioli stand out among other items from their elaborate menu. Do give them a try. All their drinks are amazing.
Service could be a tad bit faster. We had to ask again and again for a few items which was frustrating.
Otherwise it was a fantastic experience.
4 stars for Summer House Eatery.
A well known place among people and I have already been here for a couples of times and to try their new breakfast menu we went there on a sunday morning it was very pleasant with happy vibes and surprisingly we tried thai BREAKFAST rather only having an english breakfast. It seems new but according to me it doesnt seems to be heavy a mild sweet note and gently spiced food goes well for the breakfast. we ordered

-Great ambience. 🌿
-Good in weekdays. 📷
-Food is yummy especially the sphagatti mushroom penny pasta❤🧀🧀🧀
-Service was good
-Quite expensive.
This place is awesome .it has good and peaceful ambience .the food is also excellent. Try pastaas and vietnam tea. Nice place to hangout with friends.
Our order :
Beet Arancini
Calamari Fritters
Caramelized onion and Spinach Flat Bread
Thai Chilli Jam with Rice Noodles and Shitake Mushrooms with Fried egg
Teriyaki Beef
Chicken Ravioli
Underbaked Chocolate Cake
Salted Caramel Crepes
Beginning with the location, it was little hard for us to figure out the place.
But hey, a excellent calm atmosphere, spacious and good ambience. Service was commendable.
The BEET ARANCINI was an interesting dish. It's risotto balls filled with crated beetroot and gooey cheese center accompanied with a Japanese sauce. It tasted good, also had texture and playfulness in the mouth. It was a delight!
The CALAMARI FRITTERS is a deep fried dish along with the same Japanese sauce that was served with the Beet Arancini. The Calamari had a crunchy outside and a chewy inside. Thought the Calamari would be rubbery but it was cooked perfectly and the dish had little bit of heat to it. It was so light.
The CARAMELIZED ONION and SPINACH FLAT BREAD topped with feta and mozzarella cheese. The Flat bread had a thin crust and the toppings were balanced right that sung together and at the last the caramelized onions enhanced the flavour of the dish.
THAI CHILLI JAM with RICE NOODLES and SHITAKE MUSHROOMS with FRIED EGG had little heat. We asked the fried egg to be fried on both sides instead of a sunny side fried egg. The Rice Noodles is a Pad Thai Noodles. The dish was so tasty and the little crispy onions added playfulness in the mouth. There were so much texture and flavour in the dish. We enjoyed it.
TERIYAKI BEEF was served in a bowl filled with mirin and sake sauce with some roasted veggies. However, the rice was missing in the dish. The meat was tender and it wasn't hard or rubbery. The meat had a good bite to it. In the finishing stage of the dish, the sauce was overwhelming which started give a bitter taste.
CHICKEN RAVIOLI was served in a tomato mascarpone sauce which was the highlight of the dish. The pasta was thick and had good amount of filling. The chicken was also added to the sauce. The meat was tender and it was a wholesome flavour dish. It was light and delicious.
UNDERBAKED CHOCOLATE CAKE was such a delight. It was served warm accompanied with vanilla ice cream. The cake had chocolate chunks in it and the cake was soft and moist. The Ice cream complimented well with ice cream yet somewhere we felt it tasted like a medicine when we had the cake and ice cream together. I request the team to take a look on the tasting palette.
SALTED CARAMEL CREPES was served along with a scoop butterscotch ice cream. The crepe was packed with salted caramel sauce but it was thin and runny and it lacked saltiness. The Crepe had good flavour yet it lacked texture. The crepes tasted good with the butterscotch ice cream.
The price for the food was reasonable.
A cosy place though a little difficult to find. I chose to be vegetarian and had the mushroom ravioli. It was creamy and rather delicious. The tiramisu was generous in terms of size and passed the test with above average marks. It can get noisy if a kitty party gang has chosen to be there, but luckily they were on their way out as I went in. The service is courteous and it did not take too long.
The location is a little difficult to get to, very inside.
The food is Thai, Korean based and it’s really good.
I would actually rate it 5 but not many people like the taste, unless they like this cuisine.
The steak & mash is beef with mash potato and mushroom sauce - 5/5 this is the best.
Dynamite prawns -4/5
Fish fritters - 3/5
Thai jam noodles - 4/5 it’s not spicy not sweet it’s normal but the waiter said it’s the most spiciest.
Sambal chicken- 5/5 that was really good
Thai chicken - 0/5 it was a green chicken waiter suggested said it was spicy chicken it wasn’t good .
Calamari fritters - 3.5/5
Tiger prawns with mashed potato and peanut sauce. The presentation looks amazing very attractive, the prawns with mashed potato was a fine combo but the peanut sauce sort of ruined it for me. For people who like prawns with masala and spicy and crispy ones you can’t have this.
But the size of the prawns was really good.
Frappe- 5/5 but quantity could have been better !
Overall amazing experience.
Inbuilt is amazing! Food also tastes good! I odered pasta, broccolis were present! To say it’s really healthy n yummy. Resto built with foreign environment. Must try :) it’s affordable!
I was here last week for breakfast with my close friends and had a wonderful meal. I had Eggs Benedict with Avocado, Avocado toast, Homemeade granola, Waffles with maple syrup, Watermelon juice and Vietnamese Cold coffee. A side order of fried eggs, hash brown and sausage. (Sorry I don't have pictures as I changed my phone)
Had a very lovely lunch at the Summer House Eatery. My friend and I went for a late Sunday lunch and it was a quaint little place. I had the truffle fries and caramelized and bacon flatbread. The fries were kind of a disappointment. There was sub-par and kind of put me off. But the flatbread was sooo Delish. My friend had the spaghetti aglio oilo. Scrumptious and super garlicy. Personally love garlic so I loved it but it was a little bit on the over-abundance side.
Cozy little place to grab a bite to eat. Ambience is serene and peaceful. Can have a business lunch or two over here. Not sure if they have Valet parking though I did not see anyone at that time. Coming to what I ordered, Bruschetta and an Aglio E Olio pasta. Both were good and satisfying. Only thing I wish the chicken was cut into much smaller pieces would have been easier to eat.
If you are someone who loves good ambience with great food, then this is the place. The service was really good too. I absolutely recommend this place if you are in Chennai.
Great service, cool ambiance, but the food is the winner. I love that the menu has SO MANY options.
Whether you're going for Italian/Korean or the ton of other cuisines they offer, the flavors do justice and stay true to the local recipes.
Lovely ambience and friendly staff. The food was pretty decent and delicious. We had truffle fries and korean fried chicken for starter and the main mushroom ravioli and tomato mascarpone pasta. We really had nice time good place to hang out with friends and family
Pls note this is an updated review based on my latest experience at SHE.
First of all - I truly applaud the staff for taking out time to go thru each review and look for corrective actions back at the kitchen table. Not every restaurant does that, atleast I have come across very few diligent folks like the head chef here, who aim to please all diners who walk in through the door! BIG thumbs up!
Now, I landed here for lunch with a friend and we were given knowledgeable options basis our preferences and allergies (both veg and non veg). For starters, we had prawns and a veg filo pastry. Both were delicious and set the right tone for our dining experience.
While my friend had a chicken based rice for her main course (and loved it too!), I had a tomato and mascarpone based sauce pasta with veggies which was creamy and tangy in equal amounts, warm and absolutely delicious.
Finally for dessert,we shared a tiramisu which I guess is one of their specialities. Goodness, it was absolutely divine!!
I had a fantastic experience in all and would truly recommend SHE for some gourmet dining! Mathangi, the chef partner here, knows her craft down to the T and is equally receptive to customer feedback. Makes for a winning combination!
Summer house eatery is a really cute restaurant which also serves lip smacking dishes!
They’re portions are quite big. The two dishes we ordered actually comes under the Entree but it’s enough as a meal for one or even two , if you don’t eat much.
• We ordered the spicy sambal chicken with jasmine/long grain rice! I didn’t love it but it had quite a nice indian flavour , it just wasn’t what I expected.
•The Thai chilli jam rice noodles with tiger prawns is with no doubt the best Thai noodles I’ve had yet in Chennai. It was absolutely delicious. I usually don’t eat my whole meal but I ate this one with no difficulty, it was so so yum.
Awesome place to have a pleasant food...good service.... Yummy food.. We ordered Korean chicken for a starter it was juicy.. For. A main course we had mushroom ravioli it was fabulous...
And the dessert theobrama was out of the world 😋😋keep up the good work...
For food =4.5*
Service =4*
ambience=5*
We went to the summer house eatery for lunch with family. This place is beautiful and elegant ambience. We had parsley garlic fries and sambal chicken dynamite prawns for starters. The fries and prawns were amazing.. then for main we had caramelized onion bacon flat bread,
mushroom ravioli and pesto pasta. The pizza was crispy and tasty and the raviloi was outstanding. Dessert we had nutella crepe and Under bake chocolate cake. Both are yummy. Great dinning experience.
Love this place. It has a great ambience and cool looking garden. Great. We had mushroom ravioli and panco chicken. The ravioli was delicious and chicken was very good. The device also very polite...
Had an amazing experience at The Summer House Eatery! 🌞 Loved the choice of indoor and outdoor dining. The ambience was super cozy, creating a perfect setting. 🍹🌿 The in-house beverage menu was impressive, offering a variety of mocktails and delightful coffee-based drinks.🕯️ A calm, cool, and cozy spot, ideal for dinner dates. 💑 Absolutely enjoyed every bite of their delicious food. 🍽️ However, the only downside was the small portion sizes – wish there was more! 💔💸 Very expensive, but worth it for the overall experience. 👍 Will definitely be back for the cozy vibes and tasty dishes! 🌺✨ #SummerHouseEats #CozyDining #YummyButPricey
Though located in main city, the restaurant take you away from the noisy traffic of the city. I found parking to be a problem since I went on a Saturday night. The place was awesome and they provide both indoor and outdoor dining. I went with my friends and none of them complained about the food. Their pesto is one of the best in the city. The creamy soup was top notch that we ordered it one more round before going to starters. A calm, cool and cosy place to spend your dinner dates.
The place is located in one of the nicest bungalows near Teynampet, once owned by the great Maniratnam, it now is a classic hidden beauty in Chennai. One of one experience with wonderful staff, excellent service, mouth watering food and even better aesthetics.
Their menu has a ratio of 1:3 Veg:Non Veg options, but each of their options are extremely well-made not limited to the Soups, Small plates, Sides, Flat breads, Large Plates, and Desserts, all of which and more were truly appreciable.
Some of the dishes we ordered were Korean Fried Cauliflower (with Gochujang sauce, soy sauce and honey), Paneer Fajitas (Guacamole, Cheddar, kidney bean induced dish combo with Hung Yoghurt and Tomato Salsa), Truffle Fries (Parmesan Cheese combo was truly fire), Roasted Vegetable Flatbread (with Tomato Base and Mozzarella), Char Kway Teow (Singaporean style noodles with dark soy sauce), Mushroom, Rocket and Harissa Sandwich ( sourdough bread filled with the softest of mushrooms) and Garlic Butter and White wine sauce Fusilli Pasta to top the fantastic culinary experience.
A very affordable, amazing, treat to the eyes kinda place which leaves a lasting impression on its people. Definitely a must visit for families and friends for a great lunch or dinner. Make sure to cap off the day with their delicious Tiramisu/Cheesecake/Mousse
We booked via zomato (also got 20% of the bill :), gold benefits xp) and for Sunday afternoon we got table at said time without delay . Valet parking available, the last turn to get to the place alone is a bit narrow and tricky near the turning point .
The ambience was really cozy and they had an in house beverage menu with variety of mock tails, coffee based drinks, we had tried lavender love , Vietnamese coffee and coffee bierre.
Moving to starters, we tried dynamite prawns and Korean fried chicken , the chicken was so good .
Main course tried pizza and a pasta , they were okay .
Dessert we had six layered chocolate cake and tres leches
Overall lavender love and six layered chocolate cake were the OG
This restaurant is located in a residential area very calm and peaceful.
Love the ambience and the food is absolutely delicious but less vegetarian option hope they will add more vegetarian options in the menu
staffs are very helpful....definitely visit again
On our first visit, we had their lemon cilantro fish, truffle fries, Korean fried chicken, bacon caesar salad, spaghetti carbonara and caramelised onion and bacon flat breads. For dessert their famous six layered mousse cake (savoured every last bite) with their Affogato- salted caramel ( true beauty syndrome, iykyk!) and peach & passion fruit ice tea. Absolutely loved all their food. except for their caramelised onion and bacon flat bread were a little too much on the sweeter side.
Cons: Would love to see more vegetarian options, (but all the existing vegetarian options are top notch, no complaints on that front)
Pros: I had gone here on my birthday (important detail for later)(18th July) with a party of 4 people . The last time I had gone here was a few years ago (pre 2019) and I didn't have the best experience. This time though, the chef (Sabarish) just hit everything home. We ordered a wide variety of dishes and everything was just perfect. The management also threw in a slice of cake on the house. Great ambience, staff and chef. Definitely recommend this place for family and for casual gatherings.
They also accept payments via Swiggy Dineout, with no prior bookings required
Ambience: The vibe of the place is really quiet and peaceful. You can either sit inside which gives you a cozy feel or out in the gardens for a nature-filled vibe
Food: we just had the Vietnamese coffee and a soup. It was good.
Price: It's a little expensive but average as per more similar places.
The place is situated in a calm street with ample parking space for both bikes and cars. Ambience is instagrammable with both indoor and outdoor seating added warm lights. I had chicken stroganoff, beacon chips, dynamite prawns be it everything were delicious. Staffs were gentle.

The cafe has a good ambience with a medium price tag. They have indoor seating and a small backyard. The staff were courteous and they also had a neat restroom. From the food aspect, the best dish was Korean fried chicken. Loved the lavender lemonade too. Will definitely recommend for a quiet lunch/dinner or for a group outing.
Nice ambience. Good food. Service takes time but the people are polite. They have a nice menu. I will go again before 7pm to try their Savory crepes. High service charge but I guess it's optional. Overall a good experience.
I like their broccoli pumpkin soup, Korean, fried cauliflower and thin pizzas, pastas. I like their service, they are fast and ontime.
Ambience: it's a simple & clean old house turned into a cafe.
So visited this place to for lunch. The ambience was very good. My wife’s birthday it was that day. We got a cake outside and the staffs were very kind enough they got it from us and placed in a beautiful glass and gave it to us and also played happy birthday song. The food was very good. Their peri peri fries were good. Loved the chicken pasta and noodles. Their specials for the day in drinks rose lemonade was awesome, and butterfly pea lemonade could’ve been better. Oh the cold coffee! It was good too. Price was okayy for 4 of us. 5 stars are for the polite staffs who also explained us in detail the dish we did not understand by the names from the menu.
It was a lovely cozy place...
Very good for brunch!!
We went as a group of friends and orderd many items, and the service was very fast and food was extremely good.
Worth it...
The white sauce pasta with white wine was best among all...must try..
A really beautiful cafe located in a quiet street in Alwarpet, The summer house eatery has amazing ambience. If you are a fan of cafés with quiet, outdoor seating, this one will definitely not disappoint you.
Korean friend chicken was pretty good. Batter fried chicken tossed in a sweet and spicy sauce, this appetiser was a good start to my meal. I only wish it was more spicy. The sweetness was more pronounced than the spices.
Carbonara pasta was average, in my opinion. I expected more.
The chocolate cake was the star of the meal. I love how they did not load it with sugar.
The best thing about the summer house eatery is the ambience. They have a outdoor seating but would so no to that because of our climate and the indoor seating is very spacious and clean.
Steak and mash - 4/5
Chicken Quesadilla - 3.5/5 would have been better if it had more cheese inside and chicken even more flavourful.
Vanilla & chocolate ice cream - 5/5 very cheap compared to their other items and worthy.
Dynamite prawns - 4.5/5
I've been here twice, and both times, the food was excellent. I love the laidback ambience and the pretty garden. And everyone should taste the delicious Vietnamese coffee.
