This restaurant was on my checklist for a very long time. Finally my friend and I decided to go for a brunch. Food was delightful, palatable. They had ample space to park your car. Ambiance was also good. Value for money factor is one of their plus.
Been there a couple of times. One of our family favourites. It's a multi cuisine restaurant and love almost all the starters they have. The staffs are courteous and a good place to drive down in ECR.

Food:Ordered ZUCCHINI PATTIES(stuff made out of cucumber in a cutlet shape) and Mango Shake.the shake tastes good as it has nothing to do with it exceptionally but the Zucchini patties was like eating a taste less cutlet or burger.I had to eat those 6 slices for around 1 hour and spend time with my partner.
The ambience is exceptionally good.Its better to spend time in evenings.
I would say its slightly expensive when it come to value for money,but ya guys when u are heading to ECR, u shouldn't blame it.

Nice place and the taste was good. Only thing is the names of the dishes are different and the explanation was not there in menu :-). There is a play area and tables are there in outdoor as well. Good weekend spot.
Located on Ecr, it is a perfect place to stop for a nice meal. They have both restaurant and garden dining. The food here is really good and the quantity is a lot.
My personal favorite here is the Pot Biriyani they serve here.

I have been here twice. I ordered chilli chicken and alfredo pasta and a chicken steak . All the dished were pretty good . Taste was excellent. The spot was also superb . I would like to visit this place often :))

First had tomato corn crab soup, oh man this is the best soup i had in recent times.

We hosted a get together at New Town with a lot of young children and their parents. From start, the people at New Town, be it the manager, or the waiters, all of them were so courteous and helpful! The open lawn as well the well-maintained play area was a huge bonus!
The food was really tasty with so much variety available and we were always served with a smile!

The best place to throw a party and dine -in. Had my 20th birthday celebration with all my friends. The food was delicious and the price was adjustable. Visited this place in afternoon on week day , not much crowded. Ambience is excellent. Mr. Appu and his crew were very friendly and polite. We tried Fish and chips, prawn tempura, their signature chicken grill sizzlers and fish sizzlers. All were good. But one Malaysian style fried rice is the most excellent dish. The minestrone Verde soup was good, black lentil cheese balls were awesome, it was served with a kind of sweet and hot chilli sauce which was finger licking good, tomato olive bruschetta was awesome, Mexican black bean burger was good, and I totally loved their butter cookie thick shake topped with caramel crunchies and whipped cream which was added on special request.

1.tom yum chicken soup-I love this soup and the taste here was also good and I liked it .

4.prawn fried rice-yes good. The prawn was well cooked and tasted perfect.It was good .

This is an old menu in need of updating, but I really enjoyed my experience here. Loved the potato wedges, the lentil cheese balls and the mushroom+cottage cheese steak. They didn't even add service charge, and nothing is more hospitable than that! Makes you want to tip all the more. Great ambience, beautiful place and excellent service. I want to visit again to try the zucchini fritters, the mezze platter, the black bean burger, and if my visit today is representative, then I bet I will enjoy them all.

Amazing food as usual. Buffalo wings were one of the best, Cafe De Town salad was my favorite from my last visit and this time it for live up to its reputation. The Grill chicken steak was good but the chicken war over cooked and rubbery for our liking. Pasta was yum, apt seasoning. Soups : TomYUMmy seafood soup, don't miss the oven roasted pumpkin soup which is divine.
Beef Stroganoff was good but the Rice accompaniment was undercooked.

1. Nasi goreng prawn - nasi goreng tasted absolute wow.Authentic flavour and taste with the well garnished prawns on the two sides of the plate with a topping of sunmy side up.
2.Spicy crusted fish- Fish fillet kind of stuffs were topped with garlic and spices along with buttery white fine rice and a curry which looks like a thicker version of rasam. But trust me with the white rice the gravy with a tint of lemon juice tasted yum!
Price is a bit higher than moderate.
This is a must try as it provides something different to your test buds!

Landed up here on New Year's day for lunch. We were on our way back from Pondy and was starving as all restaurants on the ECR was full. Passed by this place and was able to get a place to park so got in and had to wait around 5 mins for a seat.
Once seated we were presented with a New Year's special menu. Opted for the Tawa Beef and Chicken Lollipop for starters and a Tenderloin stake sizzler and Chicken Sizzler for mains along with the only desert available... Brownie with Ice Cream!
Beef and chicken starters was good so was the stakes and dessert. However the service was pathetic. Who serves two stakes on the table without any cutlery. We literally had to be at the back of them for 10 mins to provide us some cutlery. And the place kept getting more crowded! After that when we were presented with the bill I find a 10%service charge! Normally i wouldn't mine paying that if it was clearly mentioned in the menu or if the service was really good. In this case neither was it mentioned in the menu nor was the service any good.
On mentioning this to the lady in charge she mentioned that they were short-staffed due to employee leaves! Ok understood! But on checking the normal menu it was exactly the same stuff... Dont know what was special about the new years menu apart from the prices! A tenderloin stake costs 555 + taxes on new years??? This was the only sour spot on the the day!

The place is nicely maintained with nice spacious area and a neatly mowed lawn. The ambience is very soothing and the weather was great.
Coming to the food, the momos were perfectly cooked. The black bean balls were a bit mushy but tasted good.
The burger was good, but the star of the plate was the coleslaw, which I had a second time. The spaghetti was well cooked.

Service is OK, beware - service tax is added @ 10%, so I didn't have to tip. There's a kids play area outside & plenty of space for parking. Beverages are very expensive though! Note - I had to pay cash for a family of 7 cos the card machine wouldn't work, DUH!!

Amazing food in a very cute location along the stretch of the beautiful East Coast Road. Continental food at its best. We ordered a Malay chicken satay, chilli paneer, chefs special chicken fried rice and potato wedges. My favourite was indeed the chef's special rice. It was very unique in its textures bringing out the perfect blend of spices and veggies. The malay satay is a speciality over here I must say. This place has been in my check list for so long. A couple of friends have suggested it. Never knew it was malaysian cuisine though. Good service. They had malaysian, chinese, indian cuisines. The tom yum soup was sour but spicy and tasty. I had mee hoo something. It was malaysian glass noodles they said. Seemed and tasted just like semiya. The presentation was beautiful. Loved the tandoori chicken that was placed on either side. I have never been a fan of chicken that is not cooked in indian style. I can eat meat only if i don't even feel like eating one. It has got to be marinated and roasted in indian spice. So that part was missing apparently as we opted for malaysian cuisine. I just expected it to taste indian. I skipped all the chicken pieces in both the soup as well as the noodles. The rest of the food was spicy. We then ordered brownie with icecream for dessert and man it was absolutely delicious. Heard there is another branch in the city. Might visit that sometime. Good place!

Known for bringing the exotic Malaysian Street food to namma Chennai this place has been lying around in wish list for a really long time. As this restaurant is located in ECR right after VGP universal kingdom,it is difficult to miss. With ample space for parking this place has beautiful landscape with several Asian wall paintings. The dΓ©cor is simple and yet elegant.
Since we settled there for lunch we ordered ourselves with dragon chicken and Malay Sarah chicken for starters. Re dragon chicken tasted completely different from the ones I have tasted previously. Malay Sarah chicken was tender and and deliciously cooked. Moving on to the main course we ordered herb crusted chicken with tarragon sauce and the famous Nasi Goreng chicken. Nasi Goreng chicken is a rice based dish with omelette and chicken(Happens to be my personal favourite). Herb crusted chicken was delicious too. The chicken pieces were cooked to perfection the sauce was bit bland. We also ordered ourselves a canai chicken wrap.The stuffing was really delicious.we also tried their strawberry soda and lime soda.

The place which was hanging around my bookmarked list for a long long time... Finally I made it to this place somehow with 2 of my usual lunching partners ... The place definitely didn't look like it was in the pictures... But the ambience was good though...atleast satisfying...
Here goes our order :
We went in n placed the order for the PANEER KURCHAN which arrived in less than 10mins... My paneer gravy came in with 3 rotis (they usually serve oly 2 ... The 3rd one was an add on) ... The paneer was too good and it went so well with my roti... The only draw back was my gravy hardly had 6 chunks of paneer and the rest of all was only capsicum and onion... But the paneer was way too delicious... Some time later our food cravings not being quenched we went in to place another paneer dish .... And this time we ordered for the PANEER KATHI ROLL and we mentioned being disappointed with not having enough paneer in our gravy and we were assured this wouldn't happen with our 2nd paneer dish... It took its own time to arrive ... We did not bother waiting actuallyπ... We just wanted that paneer on our plate again :P ... And finally PANEER KATHI ROLL arrived and it was one awwwwwsm dish with huge huge huge chunks of paneer wrapped by the crispy roti π now we were over dozed with paneer ... Located on ECR, this place is hard to miss given the ambiance. can be preferred for a dinner over lunch. quite spacious that could accommodate atleast 75 ppl, so one can walk in anytime w/o reservations. Ppl are welcoming. Service is fast and good if the crowd is less. This place claiming to be continental, does'n serve much of them! u can find indian, chinese, malay and a lil of European. We had ordered chilli paneer which didnot have soft ones. paneer was a lil hard to even chew. Oven roasted mushroom soup, we thought would be someway different from the normal creamy mushroom soup but we were wrong. yes, the soup was good but nothing different given the name of it was ;). For the main course, we had ordered paneer kurchan which was a north indian gravy with a typical south indian "parotta". Nevertheless, it was so soft and was thick n heavy that we both had to stuff it inside to complete the meal. Another one was mee goreng veg was Β a spicy noodle. the aroma n the flavor was so good that we kept having it inspite of being goddamn tummy full. They have a limited choice for the drinks. The menu of it could be on zomato.Β
Β We were there for a weekday lunch n ther were like 7 ppl in the restaurant already. Hence the service was fast may be! Overall, a must try place! i would recommend.

Second visit to this place. The last time it was more of Malaysian food, this visit showed a more neutral menu. Hard to miss comes after VGP on the right hand side. Plenty of parking space, lovely ambiance, indoor and magnificent outdoor seating (equipped with fans to assist in any climate) along with a cute little play area for tots. Got to meet the Manager of the restaurant a very nice gentleman who calmly explained the beginnings of this lovely place. This is the place for Malaysian food with authentic ingredients sourced from Malaysia.
That being said we sadly ordered a very neutral cuisine as we met the Manager at the fare end of our meal. Had we known earlier we would have taken his plentiful suggestions. We ordered Potato wedges, a grilled chicken steak, Herb crusted chicken with Tarragon sauce. The herb crusted chicken was slightly more delicious than the chicken steak. Excellent portion sizes. The meal was quiet filling and delicious. We also got complimentary dessert ice-cream with warm brownies.
The authentic Malaysian dish Goreng is the apparent must-have. So maybe next time then !

Much under-rated place. Great food, beginning from the tomato corn soup, to the starters (mezze platter, mushroom fajitas), to the main course. We couldn't last till the dessert. Nice, open space with ample seating as well as parking. Good portion sizes as well.
Special mention to the dips with the starters! Yum! Also, the drinks were superb. Must try!
Good Ambience- Good food - though they don't have much vegetarian option whatever we ordered in veg was awesome.
Must go for dinner to enjoy the ambience.
The quest for the most amazing, creamy and loaded with rich cheese Pasta ends here! π The Fettucini Caraonara is just OUT OF THIS WORLD! I can't stop dreaming and drooling thinking about the great food we were served here last evening. We had a proper 3-course meal starting with the Minestrone Soup (served with garlic bread which was top notch), followed by Zucchini patties with Sour cream (again, SO YUM) and then the Pasta and Chef special Veg friend rice with Hunan Vegetables for the side. The Fried rice and gravy was a tad bit too spicy for us, but tasty neverthless.

A regular at this restaurant, I like the overall ambiance and the simple yet elegant setup...they have got space for kids with a small play area which is useful to keep the kids busy while you wait for the food...The food is nice and of good quality. A good place to go with family and friends for dinner.
Recently visited new town for dinner.. the ambience s really good. They have kids play area & dining area in lawn with a beautiful pool view. They are specialized in Malaysian cuisine.. a must try here. Food tasted good & the service was excellent.
A very good ambience... was there on my Birthday (23/06/2016)... the climate the garden and the pleasant environment was so good... hopped in for lunch and ordered sechwan Chicken rice, Chilli Chicken and Hong Kong Prawn... it was so good and I loved Prawns it was too good I wanted one more but unfortunately it was closed for the day and mid day meals were available... so we were done... will be visiting again...

I checked this place out in Zomato long back and decided to visit the place with my family after reading the reviews and checking out the menu. Finally after a long wait, went here with my family on a weekday for dinner. The place is very easy to locate- just opposite to VGP, this place has a huge entrance with a huge board that even a partially blind person can't miss. π There is lots of space for parking cars/bikes inside the compound. There is also a play area for kids to play.
Ambience - The ambience was perfect. Right from the entrance, they've given importance to each and everything including the lighting, the seating, other arrangements (wall hangings, flag stand, fish tank), etc.. The place has been well maintained. Right from the parking area, it was so clean. I've seen many restaurants that keep a fish tank and even though the restaurant is clean, they won't give importance to the fish tank. Here even the fish tank was well maintained. I was pretty impressed.
Service - The restaurant was almost empty when we were there. Only two other families were there. And I noticed that we all were taken good care of. The waiters were very professional and courteous and the service was like what we expect in a 5-star restaurant! When we were struggling to open the sauce, they helped without us calling them. When we were struggling to pour 7up into the glass, they immediately came running out of somewhere and helped without us calling them. They were eager to help at all times and were also quick.

Our orders were:
π Chicken Fried Rice - There were ample amount of chunk chicken peices and the rice was cooked perfectly. Not too bland and not too spicy. The rice wasn't too dry too. However, I felt that the vegetables could have got cooked a little more. The carrot peices were a little hard. The quantity was sufficient for one well eating adult.
π Chilli Chicken (Dry) - This was my most favourite dish of the day! The quantity was humongous. The quality and taste was so perfect! I wanted to keep eating it. The chicken peices were boneless and huge in size and the taste was extraordinary. It went very well along with the fried rice.
π Chilli Prawns (Semi-Gravy) - Even with this, the quantity was humongous and it wasn't too watery or too dry. It was semi-gravy just as we expected it to be. Taste wise it was okay. The prawns were huge in size. One dissapointing thing was that the shells weren't removed well before cooking. We found small peices of shells sticking on the prawns.
π Chicken Burger - This was an open type burger provided along with potato wedges as side. The patty was thick and the vegetables were fresh. The quality of the bun was good. Overall, the burger was juicy and tasted good. Even though this can't be said as the best burger, it was good and we enjoyed it.
π Chocolate Milkshake - Now this was exactly how I expect my chocolate milkshakes to be! So chocolaty and thick and perfect! Most of the restaurants fail to reach this chocolaty level. If I had more space in my tummy, I would have ordered one more! I enjoyed it to the core.
Paid Rs. 2140.32 for the above mentioned items for four adults. The pricing is definitely on the higher side but the place is worth visiting once in a while. I've decided to visit this place again for their chocolate milkshake!

Everytime outr family plans for a dinner and everyone has different options on what they wanna eat.....at the end we agree with new townπ..... we have been a regular here since the restaurant began.....though they dont have a wide variety of food in the menu ....each dish they make is delicious ......the staff are friendly and this place is absolutely perfect for romantic dates
Nice place for weekend with friends and family in ecr. Nice ambience. Excellent Malaysian food. Staffs are more helpful and makes us comfortable in place.
Food is ok overall :) cost effective compared to other east coast restaurants ! That's a thumbs up. We ordered fish and chips and felt the pomfret isn't fresh... hyderabadi briyani really deserves the cake among all other dishes !!!

After a lot of discussion and argument driving down ECR we finally settled for this scenic place. Although they claim to have Malaysian cuisine at large, it's mostly a fusion of cuisines but that didn't bother us. We ordered the Cafe salad, crab soup (for my friend alone), and the seven jewels. The soup I was told was okay, nothing phenomenal, the salad was good with decent quantity and just the right amount of dressing. The seven jewels was our favorite, with it's exceptionally different pairing of broken wheat rice that went so amazingly well with the vegetables, we were truly taken by it. The restaurant overall has a great ambience, as we've all seen or heard, however the only thing amiss is that the food isn't as amazing as the ambience, just about good. Since we went at nignt, id say we couldnt justify the beauty this place is, so I'd probably go back again at day time to just enjoy the view and have some good food. The quantities are smaller than I expected but nevertheless good. So my rating is more for the ambience than anything else!

The place is very cool, it has lots tables with different interiors and also, it has outdoor seating. Though this place is open by 11 to 11, visit them only for lunch or dinner. The menu is very limited during 3.30 to 7 pm. The food is ok'ish. The roti was prepared in a different way from other places and it was good. Malay satay chicken was a unique one, chicken skewers in a sweet sauce. Overall you should visit them once!
Ambience, quality and taste is good. Can try if u want a good Malaysian food. The sauce which was given along wit the crab cake was a very good.
Experienced new town after 3 long years.. Not sure on why have I taken this much time to njoi the authenticated Malaysian cuisine. Made my bday.. Really. Been with my wife and had chicken with satay and nasi goreng which is my all time favorite. Satay was top notch and will taste that whenever I go hereafter.

its a gr8 place to be. specially when you have enough time to eat @ leisure. the newly made pool though is a makeshift arrangement but good enough to spend some time. we were about 20 of us and hence had a special arrangement done by them for a game of volleyball right behind in the open area. Good food and the service is even better.
First, the staff were courteous. The ambience of the restaurant was good. Had a good parking space. Coming to food, Chicken steak is very good, shouldn't miss that. Next on the menu should be Shell less crab. Very good.
Nice place and some tasty menu. You can spend some quality time here. Quite and cosy place. Price is on the higher side.

Had lunch on 14th August. Superb taste, friendly staff. We tried fried rice and pasta. Extremely generous portion size. Loved the taste. when we visited it was not very crowded. There is a good sized parking lot inside the restaurant complex.
Ambiance is good. Had my steak with mash potatoes here. Meat was nice and tender. Other foods were also good. Food is served hot and freshly prepared, it may take a while but I prefer this way.
Food:Ordered ZUCCHINI PATTIES(stuff made out of cucumber in a cutlet shape) and Mango Shake.the shake tastes good as it has nothing to do with it exceptionally but the Zucchini patties was like eating a taste less cutlet or burger.I had to eat those 6 slices for around 1 hour and spend time with my partner.
The ambience is exceptionally good.Its better to spend time in evenings.

Good place for chinese and malaysian food. Mixed fried rice,chilli lamb,chilli chicken,kalamari were very good .
Chicken briyani was not good,though served in a hot pot with good presentation.
We hosted a dinner here. The staff were very helpful in organising it and were very courteous throughout.
The kids' play area is definitely an added bonus!

Went to vgp park. had lunch at new town after seeing review on Google. I am impressed with the quality of food and services and ambiance they offered. Thumbs up
