Amazing food experience....starters paneer tikka, Gobhi 65 served hot and it was tasty..main course kadai veg and mushroom masala with butter naan and stuffed kulcha n unlimited mocktails everything is delicious.
Been to this place 2 times. Do try non-veg platter, it is really good. The outstanding dishes are Chicken murg patiala and butter chicken. On the veg side, the veg platter is good. Panner butter masala and baingan ka bartha are recommendable. On the dessert side, Chilli chocolate mousse is really good. However, the service is extremely slow, we had to wait a long time for food.

The owner Vignesh has always been around and makes good recommendations - he has also had food customised for us.

I'm a regular at Chennai 90. The owner deserves special appreciation. He always takes an effort to deliver the best. Absolutely love their chicken pepper fry and the Chinese combo. Taste, quality, quantity are all big pluses. Highly satisfied feeling every time I order. Will definitely continue to be a regular if they maintain this.
One of the warmest restaurants I have come across. Great food pleasant ambience and of course welcoming staffs. We ordered veg moms.. The sauce was exquisite. Another try was pepper barbecue chicken which indeed had a nice dash of 🔥 pepper. We also indulged in phulka and nice palak Panner.. All of the dishes nicely cooked flavoured to the mark and right amount of portions served... A must visit for veg non veg duos where both tastes awesome.. Entrance to this place is tricky as it is almost gets hidden due to the boards, banners and decorations of Words & Worth shop. We went towards the closing hour so not many guests. Medium sized place with decent ambiance to grab your meal peacefully. The manager Mr. Samir Jana gave us a very warm welcome and was prompt in the service. Being our first meal in Chennai we were confused about what to have so he helped us with suggestions as per our interest and thankfully it worked for us. The food was freshly cooked and tasted decent. The food is very reasonably priced in comparison to the portion size. Worth a visit.

Non Veg Chinese combo included choice of non veg soup,Chicken lollipop, Peking lamb,Chicken fried rice/noodles,Chilli fish gravy and choice of ice cream. I had opted for Hot and Sour Chicken soup which was good. Chicken lollipop also tasted good. Peking lamb was a stir fried lamb starter. It was average. Chilli fish gravy was a little salty for my liking but went well with the Chicken fried rice. Had opted for chocolate ice cream which was a nice end to the meal.
All the items in the South Indian thali tasted good. You can definitely opt for it if you like South Indian veg meals. You won't be disappointed!
Andhra Chilli Chicken was flavourful and tasted quite good . Its a must try !
The quantity of food served was good and the combos were value for money.
Overall, Chennai 90 is a decent option for visiting with a group of people with varied tastes.

The Home delivery service is too awsome! The Kitchen is actually serving dishes that tastes different unlike other restuarents where the same gravy is used for all the dishes!
Really delicious food. Nice pleasant service. Enjoyed mutton ra ra specially. I have nothing negative to tell about the other dishes either. We had veg chow mein noodles, chicken biriyani, mutton ra ra, chicken lollypop, Dragon squid, phuket fish, naan and chicken chilly garlic fried rice. For dessert, we tried brownie with ice cream and chocolate lasagna. Personal opinion : I might not get over how fantastic the chocolate lasagna was.
And chicken chilly garlic fried rice wasn't up to our expectations.
The quantity was really good but all the items didnt taste good. For people out there, please dont go for fish and mutton. Chicken delicacies were good though. The best was Afgani murgh tikka. The veg items were good too.

We have been having at Chennai 90 quite often for dinners. First of all, the hospitality is very good. Be it either Dine or Home Delivery, Restaurant Service is Excellent & Very appreciable. Second of all, Food is good. We basically have Chicken Hyderabadi and Mutton Roganjosh. Mutton Roganjosh is simply awesome. Any Non-veggie will love it. Cinnamon Coffee Mousse is also must try :) Garlic Gobi Manchurian starter was nice with just the right crunch and hot-sweet sauce.
Overall, a Big Yeahhh !!! I love Chennai 90 :) :)

On our last day before re entry to gym , wanted the night to end with cheat final meal , so dropped here with my buddy to hav come good food and thank his we were so happy and enjoyed our experience a lot ordered two non veg Chinese combo , the whole lot was so filling and more enough , it contained soup, salad , chicken lollipop ,Peking lamb, chilly fish and chicken fried rice and ice cream , two piece of lollipop , so yummy and yet crispy too , chilly fish curry and went well with the chicken rice and all the dishes were so yummy , salad was so crispy too and ended with the ice cream all the dishes were worth and combo was charged at 250 and totally worth

Happened to visit this place by chance as we didn't have any particular place in mind that day.The first thing i felt after eating the dishes was, it definitely deserves a 3+ rating. Well the building the hotel is in looks dull and a little old.But once inside the maintenance is good.Also the service was efficient.
1.Tom yum chicken soup and lung fung chicken soup -well cooked and decent taste.
2.Chicken majestic and mirapakai fish for starters- Chicken was decent. The fish seemed very soft and had an awesome taste.
3.prawn fried rice,Chicken noodles and The chennai 90 Chicken biriyani - The biriyani was up to my expectation but nothing like usual biriyani.
The prawn fried rice was my favourite out of the three main dishes.
And the noodles was the only below average food that we ordered.
Overall a decent place to have a quiet lunch with friends or family.Nothing too great or nothing too bad either.

I wondered may b I took a wrong decision to drag my friends for this restaurant !!! An ice cream at d end will surely satisfy you and your tummy 😉.. my friends had kadai paneer and roti.. and I must add that the paneer was a bliss.. it was hot and spicy which will make u sweat by the time you finish your dinner

I couldn't find even a single thing that can be a accounted for such an average rating. Or may be they have recently improved on their services.
Anyways, I found the place decent for the prices. We ordered a non veg chinese platter. The combo was very adequate by the portion of its size & taste. Although the lamb tastes sweet in smell but still it was decent. Apart from that, we ordered kadai paneer- this kadai paneer was one of the best I had it in my recent times. You will find it really awesome if you are a spicy food lover. The naans & the wheat Paratha was also very smooth. I loved it because you rarely find a good wheat Paratha in south.
Talking about the staff, I found that too very decent. One more thing they offer you masala papads & chutney as a complimentary dish. (Well appreciated)
P.S. Give it a shot now! U will really find it good.

Their grow floor Tiffin kiosk is a big hit unlike the restaurant in first floor.

The have a lot of interesting starters in the menu, and you may ask the waiters to explain every single dish and they do it so passionately that you would want to order them all.
The regular claim the briyani and gravies are the best here... But I would vouch for their fried rices.. they come in 4 varieties my favs are chilli garlic flavour and then manchow flavour...
Be it any rice you buy.... It tops perfectly with a chilli mushroom...

As suggested by them, Crispy Chilli Babycorn was sooo gooood... Tandoori chicken was so fleshy and good at taste.. North Indian cuisine matched the proper home taste.

Chennai 90 is hard to spot amidst the trees that stand with pride along the roads of Bessy.
It was empty when we entered on a Sunday night which shocked us. Maybe it is pretty underrated.
Ambience is pretty inside the restaurant.
We had north Indian Thalis which was really filling. Every subzi tasted unique with palak paneer winning over all of them.
The buffet looked yum although I didn't get a chance to try it out.

A good restaurant for casual dining...
At first when we reached there, it was empty so the first impression was not a pleasant one.... But we were like okay let's give it a shot. The menu was as usual limited varieties with veg and non veg ones separately mentioned. So we went for
Soyu ramen soup
Corn kernel starter with the waiter asking whether it ought to be spicy or not. We chose the spicy option.
The soup was good with a good amount of veggies and noodles was well mingled with the soup. And the starter was just amazing the crispy kernels of the corn was in every bite and the spicy pepper made a fine start for our meal.
Then we went for the regular north Indian menu of Indian breads with side dishes. We ordered garlic naan, onion kulcha, butter and plain naan with mushroom masala and veg kofta.
The delay was not too much. The food was good. The breads were crispy and perfect, mushroom masala was average not upto the mark, the kofta was really good the stuffing went along with the gravy.
The satisfying fact was the quantity was really sumptuous.
Once when we were done with our dinner and asked for the bill, then came the wild surprise.
A chocolate lasagna at its finest. At first we were silenced by it as we had not ordered it and it was kept in our table! And then came the sigh of relief when they said it was a compliment for us as they were promoting their homemade chocolate lasagna without egg. It was simply splendid as the cake just melted in our mouths. That was something one would call a "finishing touch".
This was our first experience in a veg and non veg restaurant and it ended out pretty well with a dessert to remember!!
Good quantity and quality. Had chicken biriyani here and it tasted awesome. The place isn't that big it's not claustrophobic either. Parking like what the other reviewers said is slightly an issue here.

Amazing is the only word that describes it. We took the buffet and the Cauliflower platter along with Paneer and Babycorn was lip smacking and delicious to the core. We followed it up with Malai Kofta and Shahi Paneer. The ingredients were fresh and quite literally mouth watering.
Dessert was a Chocolate Lasagna which I still miss too much. The overall experience was great. Highly recommended. Would go again and again.

Visited last sunday for lunch. Newly established restaurant by a very passionate person. Very easy to locate, close to fashion folks in Beasant nagar, situated in the same building as Cascade. Ample parking space.
We went as a gang of about 20 people. We started off with their signature dish Tandoori pineapple. It was nice with the right balance of spice and sweet. Next we had veg momos, Mutton balls (not sure of exact name), and fish fry. The momos were fine, mutton balls seasoned well but very dry (not succulent). Fish fry was good. We took a veg thali. The thali came with phulkas which were perfect. Sambar sadam (home made style with ghee), pulav, tamilnadu style aviyal, resam, curd rice (more or less home made style with just the right amount of tempering). The thali would have been even more of a hit if it had a proper poriyal and also if it had a better gravy for the chapathi (which was a kind of a mix between a kuruma and kara kulambu). The payasam was unusual, i think made of ragi vermicilli which i found incredibly delicious. We finished off with nice filter coffees, coffee mousse and a chocolate cake which had a really nice crispy base.
The interiors are clean, bright and inviting, but could do with some more sprucing up. I came to know that they use no Ajinomoto in any of their dishes, which i think is very appreciable.
The first you experience once you enter Chennai 90 is the ambiance, ambiance of the restaurant was wonderful. The staff were very warm and kind(Not like those over kind people you find in some restaurants, these people were kind in a good way). Well the most important thing is the food, I must I never expected it to soooooo good. They latterly blew my mind for the price you the overall package is worth all the 5*.

I was planning to go Cascade in the same building but it was closed since we went late. So we thought of giving a try here. We can park our vehicle in the road itself. Ambiance and service is OK. We ordered on south indian thali and paratha with Veg Koftha. South Indian Thali is not great whereas the paratha and gravy is good. As requested, it came spicy without oil. Price is reasonable. Value for money.
The ambience was good, (though yours truly is not a big fan of Abba or boney m tracks that played in an endless loop... But not complaining about that ;) ) the folks were polite and hospitable. What bothered me the most was the waiting time. By the time we got our starter a veg sheek kebab, the non-vegetarian folks in our gang were done with their soup, starter and waiting to get their hands on the main course. And this happened during peak business hours when they were serving just about 5% the capacity. That was a real downer. The food was good and enjoyable though.
One of the best restraunts in Besant Nagar. The ambience was just perfect, even thought it is not a rooftop it gives the feel of one! The food was splendid, no drawbacks regarding the food. The menu contained a huge variety but the menu could be a bit more detailed because people are sure to compare this to Cascade's since both the restraunts are in the same building.
Prices are moderate, the tandoori platter is awesome (fit for two). The Kadai Murgh and Kolahpuri Mutton was just mindblowing! The meat was soo tender and well cooked.
The only drawback is the menu it can be more detailed by just printing what the item contains because some people might order something which they are allergic to.
And this is the first place where i have seen during a festival the owner of the place individually gave his customers sweets and wish them!!!
Finally a good restraunt after a long time.
The restaurant is very good. Very polite and friendly service. Food is great, comfortable seating and good choice for vegetarian food. Pleasant ambience and unobtrusive decor makes dining a lovely experience.
Honestly, I loved 90% of the Menu Items. (Not that I ate all but went through the menu before i ordered ;) ). In many restaurants, we don't feel like ordering many items though there will be lots to choose from; Chennai 90 is different.
Following is what I and my friends had:
a) Freshlime soda (salt) - 9/10
b) Chicken Vepudu / Kodi vepudu - 10/10 (Chicken was soft and tasty too)
c) Chicken Biriyani - 6/10 (Chennai is no expert in making biriyani but for a handful of restaurants.) Biriyani was good but the chicken piece in it was not okay.
d) Jeera Rice - 9/10
e) Brinjal Curry that we asked for to go with Jeera rice - 10/10.
f) Water - 10/10 as yummy as it is always ;) :P
Overall, hospitality was excellent, ambience is very good and food is very delicious. A must go place for all veg and non veg foodies.

I took my team for a corporate lunch to Chennai 90 and I'd say it was a good decision. Usually I opt for any 5 star hotels and go for a buffet but this time wanted to try something different. At Chennai 90 the service and hospitality are very good and the food - especially non veg - is delicious.
It'd be great if more salad varieties can be added to the menu.

This place is amazing. Good ambiance. Conveniently located. Excellent food. The food we ordered was superb. The momos are just like they ought to be, soft and melt in your mouth kind. They are a must try. The food is quite authentic. We went on a Sunday and we found the service to be extremely good. The staff was friendly, approachable and were responsive.
We were here last night solely to pick up an order for a group of 7 people for a house warming party. The servers were sincere and welcoming. They took our orders and gave some great suggestions.
We wanted both veg and non veg starters along with main course. The waiting time was about 45mintues which was understandable given our order scale. We were pleasantly surprised when they gave use sweet lime soda while we were waiting. It's simple gestures like these that goes a long way.
The food came out neatly packed, hot and in carry bags of two all neatly labeled.
The food were great. The starters were yumm. The mutton botti kebab is a must try and so is haryali chicken. The quantity was adequate and the Hyderabadl biryani (chicken and mutton) was tasteful. Some friends also tried the veg momos that they felt was topnotch.
Overall food taste, quantity and quality was impressive. I would definitely give this place another shot. Maybe this time I would dine in :)

Visited this place with my friends for lunch. Good ambience. Good service. We had both Veg and Non-Veg. Veg was ok. Cripy Corn was good. Non-veg was good. It serves Buffet also. All over a good place.
Had the tava fried fish, salt and pepper baby corn and banana pie. All were extremely tasty and didn't affect the stomach. 😊
Decent food at affordable cost..try combo for better experience.. Curry's were good taste..but quantity bit low
