Dhabba Express located right in the middle of buzzling city 🌃 , it still looks and feels good with some old styled cots you can enjoy your food either in AC hall or in outside garden 🌳which feels just like sitting in north side Dhaba. It’s an amazing restaurant serving mouth-watering delicious Punjabi cuisine 😋& quality food 🍱 with a pleasing ambience🤩
Tandoori chicken: Chicken 🐓 is perfectly made with right amount of unique spices and taste it was so delicious 🔥served with watery mayonnaise
Chicken fried rice: mildly spicy, hot and delicious chicken fried rice with soft and tender chicken 🍗 🍚chunks.
Chicken noodles: it was amazingly fried chicken 🍗pieces tossed all over it with vegetable and it was hot and spicy served with ketchup🥫 and chilli sauce.🍝
Butter Naan: Delicious and soft thick, crispy and crusty yet soft, charred all over, this flat bread 🥠 smeared with butter 🧈 made with perfection
Paneer tikka masala: It is a vibrant and exotic Punjabi dish made of marinated and grilled paneer 🥮cubes dunked in a spicy and rich vegetable🥗. Which was mouth-watering delicious🤤
Prawn Crumbled: prawns 🍤 are seasoned and coated with crispy panko crumbs to make the easiest, tastiest deep-fried 🦐 ever!
Jalebi: Crisp deep fried refined flour and yogurt 🍦 batter spirals 🥨dunked in saffron sugary syrup served hot with beautiful presentation 🌹
Restaurant was dirty 👎🏼and prices were moderate for such a restaurant. Its perfect for a family and friends 👨👩👦👦lunch or dinner over which you can reminisce! Sure it’s worth to have as it’s my favourite here and the service was up to the mark
This place on the main of teynampet has open dining with the perfect dhabha experience and an ambience set!
Oh the taste is no less!!
I still feel the awesome Jigarthanda!

One of the old ones located close to my home in centotaph road teynampet. Ambiance is decent with ac and outdoor available too.
Always been a fan of the biriyani here. adding to the raitha they use to serve. Now you hav to pay separately for the raithas. Mutton rogan gosh is a must try for meat lovers. ALong with the rotis they make perfect pair. Amristari fish is yum and tandoori chicken is usual affair.
Desserts must try is the hot jelebis. Mouth watering taste.
Such a nice place.. Unlimited buffet was so good.. worth for price we pay them.. I suggest u all to go there and have food.. we can have food by sitting either inside or outside .. pics attached below.. hope this would be helpful for many people who r searching for some good restaurants..
This place has my heart.
This is a punjabi food place. The ambience in itself is soo punjabi with food served in steel plates and water served in steel tumblers.
Pappad, small onion and green chutney are given as the basic starter to everyone.
I went there to hog and we literally did and loved each one of the dishes.
We had
1 Tandoori Chicken
2 Murg Malai Kabab
3 Lucknowi Chicken Biryani
4 Tandoori Roti and
5 Butter Chicken
6 Kadai Chicken
7 Falooda
8 Jilebi
Each of this is so tasty. The price is pocket-friendly as compared to other punjabi places around.
Definitely recommend this place!

Nice open restaurant.the dhaba way look and delicious menu.good to have these location in middle of the city.
They take party orders and Hall to is nice.
Took delivery of Tandoori chicken half and one aloo paratha. Taste was Tandoori chicken was perfect. Aloo paratha could have been better. Felt accompaniments were missing ... Price was also okay...
Love the seating arrangement here and the traditional ambience that they bring to the place with a pleasent feel. Food was great, been here twice and the staff members were kind as well
I am new to Chennai and have been here 3-4 times in last one month. Whatever I have ordered was good. Quick and polite service. It actually serves a good north Indian food. Surely recommend this place to everyone
I don't know why this place shows rating of 2.7 star where as I have had a good experience dining 2-3 times.
Have tasted their Lassi, Paneer and chicken starters, roti and Makke di roti, Main Course of Saag, Paneer Masala and Butter Chicken. Food good. Ambiance is nice where you sit in an open space. Service is fast and efficient.
I recommend Delhi Dhaba.
One of my favourite places for North Indian food. Be it buffet or al carte I enjoy the food here.....and the ambiance too.......the al carte food in evenings in the open set up is super awesome to enjoy your food......the way it’s set up is so good that makes you to enjoy the food. They have good varieties of food items.......all time favourite is butter milk, papad and jilebi........we always have simple menu when we go there soup, starter and Indian breads with gravy......add ons will be butter milk or lassi......the cost of the food is nominal so over all it gives a feel good feeling of having a meal here......if you want to go for a team lunch you can have their buffet priced at very low cost......a good hang out place for lunch or dinner.......
The buffet is a must try. Sheer value for money. But one must go early for the buffet. Ambience is pretty nice and lightings done well. The service is also prompt and their noodles is a surprise as it's pretty authentic.
Had amazing lunch with your gravies.
Thank you
Wonderful place to be in if you want the authentic taste. This place is our automatic pitstop whenever we are around Cenotaph road! The place looks like an old Punjabi middle class household and the cutlery they use gives the nativity feel. Food has always been great, their rajma chawal and lassi are noteworthy!
Whenever a treat from our unit , we will choose here. A very handy and medium cost restaurant. Masala soda is delicious. If you have a team plan try here.
vinegar onions were bad and tandoori roti was a little burnt from the bottom
yummy spicy .. worth to eat
Today I had my dinner here.... Really a most memorable experience in my life. It reminds me sweet days in our village such a cool ambience. I loved it actually.. not much crowded. Excellent service. We had nawarathna Kurma and roti which was most delicious, some dishes like aloo parota, gobi Manchurian needs improvement. But really happy with the overall experience...
My post hangover food place or the best place to go when you're in need of a decent meal that isn't too much on the pocket.
I love their dal makhani that has a spicy taste to it although ofcourse in my opinion, isn't too authentic! Their kadai paneer and desserts are super yummy.
If I were you, I'd go there, kick back my legs and order simple dal and chawal and some bread and relax with a tall glass of lassi and some ghee dipped jaelbeis.
My all time favourite place. Love having food in the open area. Taste is really good and their price is pretty much nominal. One should try their paneer and chicken dishes, they are too good to miss!
If you wish to try for some punjabi food, this can be one among your list provided you go for alacarte. The dishes have punjabi flavours cooked very well and the menu is just like any other authentic punjabi eatout.
But their alacarte was never a good experience in terms of service. The breads are hardly served. But for a price of 180, the buffet spread is good. I prefer this when I need some unlimited punjabi food someday for my tummy ☺
Taste - 4/5
Presentation - 3/5
Ambiance - 3/5
On pocket - Economical.. a good month end option :)
Happy eating :)
Definitely one of the best non vegetarian restaurants in the city. The serve each and everything on the menu is equally delicious. Both South Indian and North Indian dishes are tasty and delicious, from the soups, starters till the desserts.. Well the place has an amazing ambience and excellent options in food.
Really good restaurant.... A simple place with decent furnitures to sit and have food. Excellent food, with authentic and homely South Indian varieties.
We had a lunch in Dhabba Express. In starters chicken tikka and fish finger were extremely good.We ordered aloo kulcha, masala kulcha, onion kulcha and butter roti as main course with Dal makhani ,kadai paneer.Overall the taste of food is good.Service can be improved. In bill, we found they have applied 9% service charges along with 9% CGST and 9%SGST but they are not supposed to include service charges along with GST.After questioning them they returned the service charges back.So please check your bill before you pay.
Excellent food... Value for money... Love this place... Visit for good Panjabi food. We had a very good experience at every visit. The home delivery takes well over an hour, but I guess it's worth the wait
Dhabba express is my go to place whenever I crave north indian. The breads are cheap and good compared to other restaurants. The tandoori chicken and gravies are good. Delivery is on time most of the time.
great taste and great service...food quality is too good and nice ambiance to dine in.thanks to zomato for choosing this hotel.perfect place for g2g
I'm very late in reviewing this restaurant, mostly because I've been here loads of times and never bothered to add a review.
I'll just start of by saying, that I'm a big fan of the place! I love the food, the proximity to my house and the fact that they accept Sodexo coupons. 😂
During the course of all my visits, I've had various items from the menu including the Paneer Tikka, Gobi Manchurian, Butter Naan, Panner Butter Masala, Paneer Tikka Masala, Fried Rice, etc and I've loved every single dish I have eaten here. I don't know why the reviews for this place are so bad but I've, to be honest, never had a bad experience here. It's a nice place to come with friends and with family. It also helps that this is one of the cheaper alternatives to authentic North Indian/Punjabi food in the area.
The ambience is nice and they have a very nice outdoor seating arrangement. From what I hear, their buffet is ridiculously cheap. I've gone once to a lunch buffet there but that was a long time ago and I don't remember the price I paid (It was either 150 or 250).
Anyways, I really like the place. It might not be a place which you should travel long distances for but if you live in the area, you should check it out if you haven't already. :)
I love there buffet dinner. The food tastes very good. The refilling of empty bowls takes little long time. The starters and desserts are very good.
Fantastic menu. Small place, but very authentic veg cuisine. Smiling sing dhaba. A class taste in foods as well as lasi. Various flavors of lassie available.
The place is awesome for North Indian dine in.the food taste is very good.you all should visit here in once. A month ,the owner is a Punjabi so he himself take care of the shop
Pure vegiterian hotel. Serves with smile. Smiling sing dhaba. A class taste in foods as well as lasi. Various flavors of lassie available. Time limit opens for short periods of time daily
One of the best Punjabi vegetarian food I've had in the city. Ambience is good. Staff is very polite. If you really crave for "ghar ka khana" then this is the place for you. Suitable for family and friends.
Punjaaaabiii !! It's means everything that's spicy !! Good taste and good service. Totally enjoyed the food. Ambience coulee be more better. And no tissues and glass in wash room. Parking lot should be introduced. Food is good ! Must visit.
This place has been serving the same taste and service since the time over been coming here.....I've been coming since I was like 7 to 8 years old
Tasty food, affordable price, Lassi and Paneer Tikka are must-try dishes,Panner was exceptional in both tikka form and in the gravy.
Awesome Authentic food. Served very hot. very reasonably priced.
Restaurant that's famous for authentic vegetarian Punjabi dishes..(. right in the heart of T.Nagar I, next to TTD temple in Venkat Narayana Road...).served piping hot and the aroma of desi ghee is appetising.. tariff is reasonable and service is fast and courteous... parking is an area of concern as there's no parking space for cars - can hold about six to seven two wheelers..had there been air-conditioning, I'd have given five 🌟 s... check prices as they are subject to change..
It's one of its kind wonderful place that Serves vegetarian food. The food has the authentic Punjabi taste. The staff are cordial. The food is served faster than many other hotels. The paneer tikka as a starter itself was very delicious. The buttermilk (Punjab da beer) is a sure must try item. The only problem in this place is parking. Apart from parking it's a must try place for anyone thinking of eating a good north Indian food.
This restaurant serves really good Punjabi food. The ambience is good, not great though. The staff there are nice. They are pretty quick in getting your food ready. You needn’t wait for long to get your food. The dishes are typical punjabi and to me the best dish there is the Kaju Badam masala(gravy) and Kaju pulav. Unfortunately, being Punjabi they serve only vegetarian food. Also the lassi there is really good. Worth a try if you like North Indian cuisine.
One of the best Punjabi cuisine Dhaba in Chennai located centrally at Venkatnarayana Road, T. Nagar with delicious finger licking taste. Quality and portion size of the food served is appropriate. The only concern is it's high price which is some what justifiable as per the Geographical location of this Dhaba.
One of the best Punjabi (food) affairs in Chennai - actually can't really think of any other authentic ones, now that I think about it. Pa-ji has maintained the quality, the awesome taste, and pretty manageable prices too. Thank you Pa-ji, please continue your great work... And like you say, you make us strong, and we'll make the country strong :)
Good restaurant. Thali rocked and was amazing. It was also pretty cheap. However, other items are costly. Some side dishes were a little spicy, but nothing to complain since it's a Punjabi Dhaba xD. Overall, a great experience. Worth it!
Real Punjabi food made with love. This restaurant has everything you would want from a Dhaba in delhi. The owner is very gracious and kind to accommodate any special request and make a customer happy. I recommend this place over any fancy box around. A real taste of punjab in the heart of chennai.
Awesome
Customer friendly Service and very Good Foods, In fact I was searching for a Punjabi Restaurant. The Mix Veg Soup is very taste and delicious. Phulka and Nan all are very delicious and taste.Any way am happy to say the one of the best Punjabi restaurant is Desi Rasois Punjabi Dhabba Restaurant in Chennai
One of my favourite restaurants because of its accessibility. The dishes are not bad either, though there are other dhabas that deliver better stuff. I have tried bhindi masala, paneer burji, aloo gobi etc and they were all tasty and pretty consistent too. The rotis are served hot and crisp too. Definitely recommended. The price is a bit on the higher side, possibly due to the prime location.
The taste of the dishes really reminds the taste of Punjab. Even though it is too far from there but doesn't feels like. The service and the food makes you feel like out of this world. You'll forget about how bad your day was or if there's any tension in your life. Just visit this place with awesome food, a very good service and a decent ambience.
I personally like the "malai kofta" and the "Diwani Handi" from the menu.
I have one suggestion for the owner to include more deserts on the menu. You are lacking only on it.
