Had been to this place on a week night. The food is really good. The ambiance is ok. There was seating only on the outside and there was also these booths that were decorated with flowers, balloons and candles.
For starter, had the cheesy garlic bread which was done just right, crispy and gooey at the same time. The gnocchi pesto pasta and eggplant main course was amazing! The gnocchi was divine and the sauce was creamy and seasoned well. The eggplant dish was crispy and the sauce along with it was yum!
Finally for desert the warm mud cake was baked just right. The cake was warm with a gooey center and cold ice cream.
Will definitely be visiting this place again! This Italian food is just the best food in Chennai.

It was a lunch on a work day for 5 of us. Small place and limited space only available so we booked the table and ordered the food prior. To start with the Good part, the pasta Ravioli was a Hit, I personally loved the texture and the taste. The thin crust Veg pizza was also too good that we reordered the same as we all like it much. Chicken stuffed pasta was okish and the Parmesan chicken was a disaster (I’m sorry) it was so bland and rubbery. We ordered one chocolate mud cake and got one more as a complimentary which is so sweet on them but the mud cake was not that great. Since we ordered before we arrive the pasta was cold and thick. There was only one person to attend all the table hence there was a chaos in finding him every time to order anything new. It was okish lunch that day !
The place is cozy. Has few tables so prior reservation may be necessary. Staff is courteous. Food is good but not very fine. All dishes have the Indian touch. Not true to their original cuisine. Overall a pleasant experience due to ambience and staff.

Mascarpone is leisurely seated on ECR and is completely cut off from the outside world. The restaurant has a closed room, a small party hall (I’m guessing that’s the idea) and a good lawn space on either side of it. There are tables in cottages where we can dine in. The lawns were well maintained and looked good. We were greeted well by the team and taken inside a bright closed room. The walls were colourful and made the mood vibrant throughout. The floors could have been made a little contemporary though.
The menu is primarily Italian, with continental and Thai options to choose from. It covered everything from eggplant and tofu to seafood and meat. We had Green apple fizz and sex on the beach; both were energising drinks to kick things off. The starters were spicy honey glazed chicken and Crostini platter. While the former was a typical honey chicken dish and tested well, the latter was a fantastically prepared mix. A pair of garlic breads topped with seafood, chicken and salami mixed in a good dressing. The toppings were spot-on but the garlic bread were a tad little roasted/burnt, nothing to spoil the mood though.
The main course started with Manzo di Medallion – chunks of beef steak with mushroom sauce and potatoes complimenting it. Everything was good except the beef was either overcooked or probably not the freshest. It was too rubbery that I burnt all the consumed fat by cutting the beef itself. Just a suggestion, steak knife can be provided by default. The Tagliatelle Bolognese was a well-prepared dish and nothing to complain about. I suppose the best dish of the day was Pettodi pollo ripieno. Spinach and ricotta stuffed in chicken breasts served in bbq sauce with potato mash. The spinach-chicken combo went really well and this is easily recommended to anyone. A mango pannacotta was given as a complimentary dish, which was an excellent dessert and a great gesture from them.
Overall a good sitting, little out of the city to relax and take a break. Good food and better service makes this a must try in ECR.

Visited this restaurant only for its ambience......their huts with screens along with candle light dinner... Awwww that was a awesome experience...and it's also a best place for photoshoots.... Coming to food... We ordered spicy honey glazed chicken which was not much good and also gave a feeling to not order anything else.... The prices of the dishes are quite high..
There is a boutique inside the restaurant which has wonderful collection of Kurtis and sarees 😍...
This is a very romantic place. They have nice huts kind of place to sit. The staff are very helpful and friendly. They have good variety of dishes. I loved their risotto and the pasta. Their dessert panacotta was also yummy. You can relax and have your dinner under the night sky.
A superb ambience, romantic candle light dinners , perfect place for a couple . Good food but precaution whether its halal . Lasagne was good .i suggest sea foods .and choco tiramisu.

The chicken in the starter of Honey Glazed Chicken as well as the entree of Parmesan Chicken was really soft, juicy and succulent. Even the shrimps in the starter were really tasty. The Pad Thai could have been better - tasted a little more of tomato ketchup (almost made the rating 4).
And to add to it the dessert of Mango Panacotta was yummy - that too complementary!

Nice breezy cozy open air fine dine. Good place for chill out. Food was very good. The name mascarpone itself denotes Italian cream cheese. Italian cuisine was too good. I got calamari fritti, risotto primavera and tagliatelle con gamberi which was a prawn based pasta.

Went here to celebrate my bday. Surprise was arranged by my wife and it was wonderful. They played party songs and also we had our own sit out designed to have balloons and candles. Cakes were placed and flowers were kept as decoration. Decor was very good.
Lot of mosquitoes and also no privacy from other huts that you share. Make sure to take a mosquito repellent. Most of the dishes mentioned in the menu cards were not available. We ordered masala french fries, pasta coke and Fanta. Mud cake was fantastic.

Do visit this place for a calm meal. The food here is amazing. I tried the pink sauce pasta and it was one of the best I've ever had. The Mango pannacota was heavenly.
I personally wasn't so surprised with the place, May be because I went in the afternoon and it's not a good option to go in the afternoon for Chennai's weather. I'm sure one can have a good time with their partners :)
Coming to the food, aamm nothing extra ordinary. We order Pizza which was thin crust but unfortunately we had to return it back to them cz it was cold and the cheese was not melted. We ordered chicken wings which was Fine. Thats all.

Perfectly coated Calmari Fritters, deep fried to golden brown is the best I’ve ever had in Chennai . Crunchy on the outside and extremely soft inside , served with a delectable lemon basil aioli is the scrumptious hors d’oeuvre one should never miss on a visit.
Also , the ambience especially at evenings, best of the Italian food, perfectly dimmed lights, and the soft breeze from the beach close by will definitely set the mood for your date. The location , service and the quality of the food would make you want to visit more than once.

I went several times the garden themed was soo good.. It is very clean and provide great hospitality. I dint order all the menu they have.... I asked for a candle light dinner for my celebrating my hubby bday and the arrangements was so awesome and my hubby stood dumbstruck 🤩The arrangements are worth the money and satisfied to the core. To go with food yummy to the core both Italian and Thai foods. Usually Thai foods will be half cooked but here it is cooked on the a correct portion and mouth watering. Thanks for organising it the best way.

The Mascarpone cafe is a one of those romantic getaway restaurants that offers both great food and a great ambience. Its a pretty good spot not only for couples, but also for families/friends(5-6 people) to come and spend some time to have food and chill !
The Location and Ambience :
This restaurant is located on the side of the East Coast Road.It is on the left side of the road while travelling from Chennai to Mahabalipuram/Pondicherry. The restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating.The indoor isn’t much to talk about. Its just a closed room with a capacity of 6-8 people maximum. But the outdoor seating is amazing! You can either choose to sit in the open and dine on the grass in the outdoor,or you can get your own cottage seating (for 2-4 people) which offers you good privacy (Perfect for a candlelight dinner 😀 ).The area isn’t all that big,but they make it look spacious with the arrangements.They have soft covers of all the latest pop songs being played in the background. The service is quite friendly and courteous. They make sure to give their guests privacy and yet get you the food on time!
The Food :
Now moving on to the important part, the food. Since we already had a few starters from the Moonrakers,Mahabalipuram, we couldn’t eat a lot. But that didn’t stop us from trying. We decided to try their Honey glazed chicken and the Spinach Ravioli. The honey glazed chicken was a bit sweet, crunchy and tasted pretty good. The spinach ravioli was bland. It tasted how it should, but was a bit too bland.(Authentic Italian!) I enjoyed the dish, but maybe they should consider spicing it up a bit for the Indian foodies xD. Now finally we decided to order the famous Mango pannacota. It tasted lovely, it was soft, creamy and just firm enough to hold the cream together. Also had a great mango flavour. For all mango lovers, this would be a treat!
The prices were a bit on the higher side, but I felt the quantity for the mains were pretty good. The dessert, was delicious and tasted as good as it looked.
Overall, good food to go along with the great ambience. And If you are searching for a place to eat, away from the hustle bustle of the city with a date, I would definitely recommend this place! The Mascarpone cafe gets a foodfella rating : 4.2/5

First I wanna say about ambience which was different from other restaurants. Except insects and mosquitoes in the cottage everything was fine with the ambience. We ordered Pollo Allaa Milanese and Honey glazed chicken. The Chicken was perfectly cooked and seasoning was amazing. Even the Honey glazed chicken was finger lickin good. And finally I ended up the day with a Choco Lava cake which was served with the vanilla ice cream.

Wanted to visit this place from a long time. Finally yesterday got a chance! Went there with a very good friend of mine. The moment we reached there and saw the decor, the only thing we thought was , why the hell did we not come here earlier!!?? The ambience was soooooo beautiful and romantic!! It is perfect for couples! Coming to the food, we ordered for a pla tod bai graprou which was basically crispy fried fish tossed with chilli garlic and Basil. It tasted amazing! Oh what flavors! Ecstatic!! Then we ordered for a tuscan pizza which was again really good.. would have liked it to be a lil more moist but otherwise it was really great! So 4/5 for food but 5/5 for ambience! Definitely visiting again very soon!
Edit 1: visited this place again on a rainy evening. We were seated inside thatch roofed cottages which were very pretty. Had ordered for lollypop wings and agnolotti con pollo ,which is there in house made ravioli pasta. I am in short of words to describe the taste of the raviolis!! They were just fantastic! I literally licked the plate clean! These were the best raviolis I have ever had. The sauce was so creamy and flavorful and tasty!! Can't wait to lay my hand on 'em again! Coming to the wings, they were utterly disappointing as they were not properly cooked. Plus, the salt content was less than normal. For dessert had ordered chocolate mud cake which was average.
The place was great, looked really pleasant and amorous at the night time. Service was initially a bit slow but the staff were friendly.

Mascarpone! It’s been a long time that we should try this cafe. Finally the day has come. It’s my special day (Birthday)... We went there for dinner date. The place was really awesome by its ambience and lightning effects added romantic beauty to it. Service was quite okay, since they gave us more time to spend over food and have funny chats. Not sure it’s really their way of serving or really a delay in service 😝
About food, all the dishes which they prepared are fresh and hot. It’s tasty as best as mentioned under each cuisines. Thai foods were really nice.
The best thing which we got surprised was about the cake which they decorated and designed for my birthday.
