The chaat over here are just phenomenal and even speaking in terms of price point it is low
Great place to hang out for snacks...... Love the pav bhaji and Pani poori...... Some of the best sweet are kaju katli and Mysore Pak..... Best place
When ever I leave chennai from CMBT, I would take my dinner here for sure. Great ambience and services. Butter naan and paneer butter masala was too good. It would be a proper relaxation with dinner here before catching the bus. I would recommend!!
Good place if you want to grab a quick bite during your work hours as the food gets served relatively quickly here .. but i recommend sitting in the dine hall upstairs which is devoid of the houseflies you see swarming around downstairs...
One plus point is the staff are receptive here unlike the other outlets where the staffs are horrible.. and i been to a fair share of their outlets.

This A2B outlet is located at LB road, Adyar. I went to this place for lunch and ordered mini meals. Mini meals was good but I have to try other items to be precise about taste. Ambience of this place was decent and service was quick.
Best place for South Indian variety of foods, ambience is good. If someone would like to have South Indian meals during lunch then A2B would be one of the best in Adyar.there is car parking area for the customers.Staff are courteous but couldn’t maintain the attention with all so you will feel like unattended , especially if the restaurant is full, which might be due to limited number of staffs .
Me and my friends went for the walk in the morning at Besant Nagar beach .. After walk we were do hungry and decided to have breakfast at adyar Ananda Bhavan.. We ordered idly , dosa and mini Tiffin .. They serve delicious south Indian food as breast fast.. We were happy and back to work after a delicious break fast
One of the most reliable places for tasty and economical food. Had parotta with saalna, sambar vada, raita and Masala dosa. The service was fast despite there being a crowd, so that was a real bonus. A2B is slowly converting into a restaurant along with their usual list of sweets and savouries.

Best Sweet Restaurant in Adyar
I would like to share my experience. Adyar Ananda Bhavan seems to be good South Indian restaurants and sweet restaurants located in Adyar. Here, several times I tasted the South Indian foods and sweets that taste has been always good and mildly attracted the visitors coming back.

Very popular in the locality. You'll always find the place jam packed. You will have difficulty in parking as the restaurant is present in the main road. I personally like the chaat items over the tiffin here.
A2B is one reliable veg restaurants in chennai, this is in main road, parking is right next to the restaurant, we had dinner with veg schezwan noodles, both are very good, me being a schezwan fan really liked it here.
I ordered a South Indian meal. One of the best packing I've seen. The meal contained :
1. Steamed Rice
2. Sambar
3. Pulikuzhambu
4. Potato and peas poriyal
5. Keerai kootu
6. Cabbage kootu
7. Curd
8. Lime pickle
9. Appalam
10. Rasam
The taste wasn't as expected nor worth the price. Not a bad choice at all.
We went for lunch and ordered mini meals. In mini meals we get hot sambar rice with Poriyal, chapati with kurma, lemon rice with papads, curd rice with pickle and rava Kesari. I’m very much satisfied with taste, price, quick service and decent ambience. I always prefer A2B mini meals for lunch.
Best place for chats , I can’t found any good place for dahi puri’s which serve as same as them. They are tasty ! Also pani poori’s and they have soft cone ice creams which is nostalgically yummy. We can find those cones everywhere in 90s but we rarely get these in T.nagar now a days. But i could find here with pretty good taste.

Aloo tokri chat is a good try. It's quite overwhelming in platter size for one person.

This is what you call a humble restaurant...Truly humble in all the senses ... They have 140 branches across the world including USA and UK etc and yet have their feet on the ground. We landed their in search of the speciality Idli called Kovil Idli or Kanchipuram Idli ...... And we were pleaantly surprised to find an idli which was soft... light n airy ...like an angel !!
We also tried Iddiyappam with Korma and I am sure this is the actual origin of “string” food !!

I like the ambience but there was frequent power outage .Major advantage is the location and parking space. We ordered fried rice, gobi Manchurian gravy , mushroom noodles , paneer Tikka and two chaat item sev Puri and dahi papdi chat. I liked the food. It was nice experience. You can also purchase variety of sweets and snacks.
During my stay in Chennai, I have been to this place tons of times..a good place with lots of sweet and snack options..love the rasmalai here..as well as laddoos and milk sweets..the chaat items and dosas are also yummy..
This will be my all time favorite vegetarian restaurant and chaat shop. This is a self service restaurant, tip yourself 😉😝. Food was definitely good and the quantity is also correct. Whenever I stop by A2b I ll start with Baasundhi, tiffin or chaat and then end with mini filter coffee. 😊
Wanted to try Adyar Ananda Bhavan in Adyar, we ordered masala dosa and Ice cream fruit salad.
Masala dosa tasted fine, and the place is a bit small for the crowd.
A2B is my best pick for evening snacks and coffee. Love the chaat here as well. Must try the variety of dosas and vadas.
The sweets you get here are really nice. Mu office usually orders these during festival for employees.
The panni poori really amazed me with the spicy toppings and sweetness just sweep the name .I heard that A2B is good only for sweets, but it slapped me😊👍👌💐💐💐💐
Quantity was lesser than expected
I asked for extra sambar packet and the extra packet of sambar was given in very less in quantity. I think that the person who delivers food should take care of the specification asked.
A regular joint for us whenever we are getting back from a mall or a function, or a movie and it's too late for cooking, we go to this place. Quite near to our place in Besant Nagar. The best thing about it is the no confusion while ordering. They have the usual stuff and you can simply order it without any hesitation. However, I would suggest sticking to the basics here like south Indian and coffee and stuff. The chats and the other north Indian stuff are okish, nothing special about them. Overall an excellent option for breakfast or no-nonsense dinners.

Visited Day before Yesterday such a wonderful South Indian , North Indian and Chinese Cuisine they are having and This would be the best Vegetarian Restaurant I have ever visited in Chennai for Pure Veg Foods. One of the restaurant named for Sweets like Milk and ghee, Bengali Sweets with dry fruits and Savories and all. Cool people those who loves Indian Food varieties more should try this

1) Dahi puri: it was as awesome as compared to chats offered by kakada , sree mithai etc.
2)samosa chat; probably not the best , but not the worst
But I would die for the filter coffee.
Good north indian and good south indian stuff. Though the pricing can be a bit reasonable. Nonetheless, you get quality stuff. Chinese items are little sweeter.

Food was the best part. Although veg monchow soup did not live up to the expectation; paneer 65 and chilly mushroom were superb. Also had scheswan fried rice, jeera rice and Nan, all of which were just ok.

It's a nice place that we love to visit again and again. It's closer to our place and that helps us get there most of the time. Food is reasonably good. Not just the south indian options but north indian food is also good.
If you want proper south India food then this is the place to be. The dosa, idly pongal or any other item you pick is so yummy that it becomes difficult to walk post eating. The dosas are bigger and heavier comparing other branches.. Amazing food. Their north Indian food is also equally amazing. One should try their paneer tikka masala or their capsicum masala given they mainly concentrate on south India dishes. I never miss going here when I visit chennai.

When it comes to typical South Indian breakfasts, A2B never fails to serve the best. We had dosa poori idiyappam vada idly onion roast thayir vada... everything was wonderful. Tasty is my verdict.

Try South Indian thali. They also serve mini thali if you are not too hungry.

It is like any other south Indian restaurant. Good yummy traditional food. Tried the paneer jamun and it was excellent. Happened to order a butter scotch cake there and I was over blown. Too good!! Soft cream and excellent flavour. To top it off, it was eggless!!
I went late in the night and luckily the restaurant was open. I and my friend had chappati and dosa. The plain dosa was crispy and good. The chappati was soft and I liked the Kuruma.
The service is quite decent. The ambience is okay and I feel that they should improve the environment. We could not feel the chillness even though A/C was on. They must maintain the environment well.
I have been going to this place ever since it opened 15 years ago. It's become a tradition now, especially for Adyar residents.
The ambience is now revamped. It's too bright inside, always a sunny feeling. The fine dining area is gloomy though. It was above average. But it was evident they were inspired from KFC and Dominos.
The service is okay. The tables are cleaned regularly for the amount of crowd the place gets.
The food is as always amazing. Guys, never try the pizzas, try them in pizza places. These people make them so that you don't forget how the best pizzas are best. Other than that, the chaat is always amazing, especially pav bhaaji and bhel puri. On the south Indian side, my favourite is the adai avial. Just seeing how it's made tickles your stomach.
The price has been increased over the years and yes, I feel it heavy in my pocket.

Will visit here more often as i was working near that area. Taste is good compared to my try in other a2b outlets. Car parking is available.

Late night around 10.45 almost they are in closing stage we where five peoples!!. The order was onion rava doasi,plaindosai,onion doasi mashroom tikka ,chilly paneer , nd finally coffee ☕️ with lime soda!!. The taste was asusal good!!. Chilly paneer was impressively nice!!. The staff behaved very politely nd serverd very well!!. Overall nice experience '!!.😎😉
The menu pretty much is in line with Sangeeta or Saravana Bhavan. However, the food tasted pretty nice. Whether it was Chinese starters or South Indian main course, all items were well presented and tasted 😊 good.
Very spacious exclusive halls offering wide variety from vegetables to fruits to sweets to snacks to dining hall eateries and all these under one roof, perhaps makes this outlet unique and only one of its kind ..
What attracts you is that the size of the newer outlets are very big , there by matching the promoters aim of keeping stock of vast variety as always available.. daily evening vendoring of sweet Kozhukattai and Kuzhi paniyaram adds up to their keeness and ability to offer as much as possible .. Certainly an experience by itself is their bengaluru Near Trawel Mart (trawelmart.com)
I Just love this place cox it is very near to my work place ! Cheese Pav bajji and Chola Batura is my all time favorite here ! We have self service at the ground floor and regular service at first floor.
Ghee roast is the must try one here along with Rasamalai at the end. Sweets and mixtures are also freshly made everyday ! Good quality Good service and good ambiance for lite snacks !
A2B always tops my list when it comes to veg restaurants...A2B special fried rice is an awesome dish. Ribbon potato crispy is their speciality. My husband is an ardent fan of their pepper mushroom fry..Their special laddoo is a must try..It tastes similar to Thirupathi laddoo.Manager is a very friendly guy and always patient with the patrons.
Food was delicious and served hot. We loved their IndoChinese. Szechwan fried rice, paneer 65 and stuffed Kulcha were delicious.

Little crowded. Not comfortable for 5 people on that small table. The food taste was good. Service was good. We can go there for a quick bite.
I believe this is the first place that was started of this food giant. A very good place for family and friends with a great ambiance. They are maintaining the same quality as it was years ago. Located at the heart of Adyar.
They have Cafe type settings on the first floor, and in the ground floor normal restaurant. Overall good experience and good staff.
Visited this restaurant with my superior for having snacks in the evening. Too much of crowd on that time. There is no seperate parking for this restaurant. You can park the vehicle on the road side itself. As it is too crowded place it is taking some time to deliver our ordered food item. My superior had a bav bajji and I had filter coffee ☕. Nice smelling from bav bajji and the filter coffee was too hot and the aroma of the same is wonderful. Strongly recommend this restaurant for your hungry hours. You can also buy vegetables in the vegetable shop which is inside this restaurant.
Visited today and it’s my second time. We ordered for mini lunch called as mini meals. A huge hall welcomes you where with dividers you find seaters to sit. Table service is so fast and on time, that the time gap between order and service is just minutes. My order had one Poriyal, kalandha saadam, curd rice, sambhar rice, pickle, pappads and sweet.
The counter is for takeaway besides they sell yummy sweets and savouries while a/c hall is inside. There is a separate counter to collect takeaways and I loved their simple well lighted ambience. A place to stop by in MG road at Adyar.
As usual taste is fine... No complaints about the taste of kesari... But I don't think it's worth for the money... Other snacks we had was taste wise price wise ok. Ground floor bit congested and sounds like market... For us service was good. But nearby table were waiting for long time... Few employees enquired about the orders to them .... Still no one really took the order... Senior employees not so friendly with junior employees ( rude and shouting) .... Apart from this , as usual happy with the food.

The place is pretty crowded on the ground floor. If you want a quiet Atmosphere to enjoy with family then head to the first floor. It's quaint and quiet and away from the hustle bustle. This outlet is near the Adyar Bus depot and is a quick 2-3 minute walk from here. It's a perfect spot to chill after a bus travel or just chill after a busy day. On weekdays the ground floor is crowded but the first floor isnt.
I ordered the cheese pavbhaji which was a bit low on quantity but tasted good. The lemon soda was also good. Overall a good experience.

A2B is an amazing place for sweets, savouries and chaat items. Even the south Indian tiffin is very tasty here. It's always a family favourite I'm sure not just for us but for everyone. Its become a tradition to shop here occasionally and especially during festivities. It gets really crowded due to the popularity and it's products but it's worth the hassle. Also they keep stocking the items so they are never sold out.

A dine-in restaurant at the first floor serving North Indian, South Indian, Chinese varieties opens after 7pm in the evening. The ambience was good but still the lighting can be improved like it's sitting in the dark.
Coming to the food is not the worst not the best.
Chilli parotta was nice a little sour taste felt due to the oil, can be considered to improve otherwise good. Paneer Tikka is excellently soft and easy to scoop with a spoon. Mushroom biryani was good.
Rates a little higher it's felt but can be confident of no side effects. That's great.
