How do you review a restaurant that just seems to exceed your expectations every single time? Today was my 4th visit. My first visit anywhere since the pandemic began. I was apprehensive about the quality of food and also the prices etc. But they've maintained their exceptional quality as usual! No price changes and absolutely lovely service by Abhishek... Without a shadow of a doubt this is my new favourite place to go to! Every single dish was lip-smacking and the 30% off on Zomato pro was the icing on the cake.
After 4 months, this was like the redemption meal. I was actually nervous about the quality and taste because the restaurant was just opening after the 4 month lockdown, but man, wasn't it worth it? Had a hearty meal with my friends and loved every bite of what we had.. starting from the appetizers- crab lollipop which absolutely fantastic and super crisp, garlic beef which was so juicy and tender, chilli sausage was so soft and melts in ur mouth and the fried prawns which was out of the world.. the best part all meat were so fresh and juicy.. no frozen meat at all.. moving to the main course, the fish and lemon butter sauce was so flaky and moist - signs of a perfectly cooked fish and the tenderloin steak was cooked to a perfect well done with an awesome pepper sauce.. chicken parmigiana was out of the world and one of the best I've eaten in the city.. sizzlers were good but the real show stealer was the sizzling brownie.. hands down the best brownie I've ever eaten in my life and it was so soft and fresh.. overall, a completely satisfying experience and thanks to Zomato Gold for making it a pocket friendly meal😜
Jonah's spl steak 😋 must try
Steak was yummy 😋 must try and the chicken parmigiana

Excellent pizza and Hot garlic beef and amazing Dynamic prawn which melted in the mouth thanks for Sorna Chef and wonderful Team
Everything from the menu is absolutely delicious
Ordered the saucy chilli garlic chicken and prawn stew for starters - amazing taste
Grilled chicken and spinach sandwich- too good
Would I visit again? YES!
Though we went around late in the night, the food was prepared with utmost care. The service was Swift and the food quality and quantity was good.. Definitely a must try place..
Visited jonah's bistro for the first time in so many years.. I went to poes garden branch.. I was very impressed with the reception and hospitality and the way they serviced us. The food was amazing.. The curried mosiac I'm definitely going back to have that dish again.
Ordered this pasta combo, the potato wedges and bread were good, so was the pasta but it seems they forgot to add any salt and spice in it. Atleast provide it in sachets if you don't want to add directly. Rest was good, especially the potato wedges.
Found this place for a late night dinner.ordered hot and sour soup, manchow soup, fries and pink sauce pasta.Loved the manchow soup and pasta.kudos for their late night service
Cozy place with a good menu. Really loved trying the big boy burger challenge. A good fun place to hangout. Maybe if you are in a big group and want to go to a place to have good food and a great time, I'd definitely suggest Jonah's bistro.
Excellent restaurant with an fascinating ambience!

>>> Arrabiata Pasta
Pasta was good and the sauce was not that great, quantity was fair enough which serves 3 people easily. Garlic bread was super awesome combination for this Pasta.

I am in love with this two 😍
The staff was very friendly and considerate...the food came very fast.the quantity was actually a little less when compared to the price..but I was overall happy because of the politeness of the staff..i liked the place...
Definitely a must try place.. took my mom and she really enjoyed the food.. pesto pasta is my fav here. I was kinda surprised to find paneer in the mee goreng but it was as tasty as always. Love this place and will be back again soon
My very first visit to Jonah's turned out to be pretty good. I was here on the dine out 50% offer this month. The ambience looked pretty decent. The restaurant is in the first floor located in a posh locality. This place is sure to attract a lot of customers.
So my lunch for the day started with the amazing chili tossed sausage's. Loved the dish to the best. It tasted yum with perfect balance of flavours. This was unfortunately my favourite.
Also , tried crab lollipop, something I am trying for the first time and I should say I liked it. It tasted yum along with the dip. The lollipop was crunchy on the outside and tasted good.
For main course I had the risotto ( for a change) with chicken add on. Tasted good.
Pan fried fish with lemon butter sauce not a very satisfying dish probably because of the choice of sauce. I personally did not enjoy the dish but yes the fish was cooked well.
For drinks I had the iced coffee which was great especially refreshing for the chennai weather.
Only one thing disappointed me , Dessert I badly wanted to try the Tender coconut mousse and well this branch does not serve tender coconut mousse.
Overall I had a great experience at Jonah's , the service was good. Food was great. Definitely going back to try their other dishes.

Loved their macroni pizza! And their veg wrap, super yum also good portion size. A nice hangout place with friends. Good service and quiet ambience
The ambience is nice and pleasant. We ordered alfredo pasta, American pizza and parmesan chicken. Pasta ans pizza were very delicious but the parmesan chicken was average and didn't have parmesan. The service was good. Would recommend it to everyone.
Amazing food. And good variety of choices. But I wish they kept their cutlery and their restaurant cleaner than this. Proof is in the picture.
The mushroom soup was excellent and so was the pesto pasta... The server could perhaps been a bit more attentive but nothing too much to complain about.. Food was overall good..
This branch has Good ambience and seats have some been arranged where a group of friends can chill and have fun. Good food. The food plating is also appealing.
This place I feel is underrated. It serves the best quality food with great hygiene and courteous staff. they have a huge variety starting from Burgers to Indian spiced rice which is almost like our Biryani. they have real Yummy Nasi Goreng as well. It is located in the first floor with good enough car parking.
After Being to Besant Nagar branch , I wanted to Visit here and I did .. Loved the food , Loved the Service ..
Had ordered Beef and seafood dishes . At first we were skeptical whether my mum would like it or not as she prefers Basic Indian Or South East Asian cuisine.. But she loved it ..
Jonah's bistro at alwarpet is quite a big restaurant with sufficient seating capacity. No worries about the parking space, the road itself is safe to park.
Seating is very comfortable and the ambience looks excellent with good lighting. You have TVs running videos/matches.
We ordered,
Crispy pepper beef - excellent taste. Beef lovers should try it here once. Must try.
Crispy sesame chicken - We had the wow factor for every bite. The honey literally dripped out of chicken, such a luxurious coating it had. Must try.
Masala omelette - English type omelette. Not spicy, but the flavour were intact. Along with omelette we got some mushroom coated with masala and Toasted bread with butter. I kinda liked the presentation.
Chicken noodles - with basil leaves, was done well. Taste better when hot.
Waffle - #my latest addiction :) waffle were spongy with 2 syrups (maple & chocolate). Seriously maple took over chocolate. Must try.
Special thanks to Sona (or sauna)
Watermelon mojito - nothing special but a good one.
Highly infectiously food. Must try for young crowd and family too.
Was surfing zomato for ordering different food suddenly I saw Jonah's bistro on the list...was on confusion whether to order chicken riccotto or Alfredo Chicken pasta then I decided to go for Alfredo chicken pasta.. the food was delivered on time packed well I had a accompany of garlic bread...
Chicken pasta had good cheese blended with penne pasta mixed with mushroom and chicken it was very good 😋 quantity is also very good...
Recommended place for Alfredo chicken pasta..
Good food! Descent atmosphere! Comparatively pocket friendly! Not that yet another cafe, the waiters help you run through the menu and understand the food that will be served.
PS: Their pizzas are worth the deal.
This place is located on kasturi rangan road near Russian culture centre sharing a building with Toni and guy. Parking is available. Seating is comfortable and may need booking in advance on the weekends.
Ordered the chicken soup, which was very filling. For starters ordered basil and tomato bruschetta and panko chicken with dip. The bruschetta was fine but panko chicken was very bland if not for the chilli mayo dip.
For main course ordered a margherita pizza, it was slightly oily. Had a watermelon virgin mojito that was ok.
Overall the place is good as the service was very good. Can improve on the taste, so it is worth the money.

Ambience was good, It is first time in this branch, Ordered Beef Steak, Crispy Calamari, Kerala curry ricebowl and virgin mojito, Steak was delicious with creamy mushroom. Crispy calamari was good and Kerala curry was excellent with the authentic kerala taste. Overall a great experience.
Been here several times in the last year. Food is good and there is a wide range of options. Service, staff and interiors are also good. Drinks are not that great though.
Good place, great ambience and a place where one would like to catch up either for a coffee over a conversation 😁
The Risotto was really good along with the honey garlic chicken. Must given the honey garlic chicken a try
Jonah's has been my favourite restaurant that I'd suggest someone or prefer for myself when wanted to have delicious food with decent ambience. I spent my birthday lunch with 5 other friends here. The ambience was pretty good and calm.
Dishes tried;
Honey garlic chicken
Soft and juicy chunks of chicken soaked in a delicious honey garlic sauce which had a mixture of sweet and spicy flavour. I honestly had no idea that this starter would taste amazing 😍♥️
_
Cheese and mushroom balls
The outer layer was crispy with a filling ofcheese and mushroom which was too good.
_
Nacho cheese
Crispy nachos loaded with cheddar, nacho sauce, tomato salsa and sour cream.
I rarely prefer veg starters in any restaurant, but both the starters from Jonah's was totally delicious.
And for the main course,
Mac and cheese pizza
I was quite excited for trying this, but wasn't satisfied much, it was very average in taste, Mac and cheese was little bland I felt.
Thai chicken curry was really scrumptious.
Smoked chilli rice(veg) was pretty good and had a mild spicy flavour, the gravy and rice are served separately.

Hands down this is my favourite place for some delicious scrumptious mouthwatering food.
We started with the delicious and the most loved soup named Chicken Laksa (everyone needs to try this atleast once) its a perfect blend of cream soup and rice noodles.
For starters we ordered Chili Beef and Salt and Pepper prawns and ended the dinner with Chicken Satay.
One of my most favourite restaurants in town. They have disciplined staff members and quality food. Ambience is chill and car parking isn't a problem. A frequent visitor of this place and love their varieties in flavour and taste
After hearing good reviews about this place i chose this place for a lunch with my friend! its in alwarpet and they have 4 more branches if iam not wrong.the location is very easy to find and i had no difficulty in reachin this place.the ambience is awesome❤️.
They have quite a vast menu, almost fitting in all the major cuisines! also this place has got zomato gold!
at first we ordered 2 starters!
One was veg that is paneer 65 sticks!
And the other one is honey chicken!
Both were too good! the paneer was exceptionally great💯.it was served with sweet chilli sauce. it was perfectly roasted and was soft inside! the chicken also was soft enough and sweet as well as spicy in taste!
How can i miss the pasta at this place! i have heard it really good here! so i ordered pink pasta! as said it was yumm💯.
Finally to finish of the meal... i ordered belgian waffles. the waffles wasnt that good. it was given along with ice cream and choco sauce! but somehow they didnt go well with the sauce and the ice cream!
the cost is all perfect. the staffs are also kind and gave us a good service! they greeted us with a warm smile! overall i would rate this place 4/5
Was good to be here.
The staff is courteous and the taste of the food is also good.
Wafer thin dosa with basil was a good combo. Arrabbiata pasta was also really delicious. White sauce pasta was decent. Cheese filled mushrooms were nice and juicy - a must try for vegetarians.
I ordered one main course in chicken 'Parmigiana' it was super yummmmm and tasty.
A cozy place for get togethers and dates. Possible to seat large groups as well although they are often fully packed so best to book in advance.
We had the Panko chicken - Deep fried chicken served with a side of spicy mayo ; Alfredo penne pasta - Pasta with white sauce , chicken , mushroom and peas ; Fish and chips - Deep fried fish with sides of fries and jalapeno mayo. All the dishes are well made and upto par on taste.
Calm ambiance and good service. Would visit again!

Cozy and comfortable place for casual dining located next to Russian cultural centre.
Ambience was relaxing and they have few collections of novels.
Must try - Sweet & spicy panner , mac & cheese pizza.
Hot chocolatie & ore cookie shake need improvement.
Service can be better(but limited staff)
Cons:
It would be better if pizza and other dishes is available always instead of specific time limit.
The food was amazing. We ordered panko chicken, grilled chicken with creamy onion sauce, beef steak with creamy mushroom sauce, fish steak with pesto sauce and alfredo spaghetti. The taste was perfect and the cook on the steaks were exactly what we asked for. The pasta was creamy and nice. When compared with other restaurants, the mashed potatoes served with the steaks were excellent. The panko chicken was crunchy and coated evenly. The service was prompt as always. Even though we went late, we were served with a smile. We had previously gone to the Besant nagar branch but the food was pathetic. They had peas in their pasta dish! We were forced to leave that branch and come here. Would not recommend the Besant nagar branch but the Alwarpet branch perfect be it in ambience, service or food.
Jonah's bistro has become one of my top favourites. Within a week, I visited them twice. The food is great and so is their ambience. They have a good collection of music and wide range of menu. It'd be the best if they could serve the food a lot faster!
This is a good place for hoggers , the food is amazing and must try kalamari and monster burger . They accepted Zomato gold .

Located few meters away from the Russian cultural centre, this place is on the first floor of a old but cute building. We went there for lunch on a weekday. I had been wanting to go here for sometime and I was happy that my colleagues finally chose this place but unfortunately the taste actually wasn't upto my expectations. We ordered the pink sauce spaghetti, cheese garlic bread, crunchy veg balls, fried chicken with spicy sauce. The food was good but definitely not worth the price. The pasta had way too much veggies on it. I could hardly see any spaghetti.
Overall I would rate the experience

Visited this place today. Ambience of this place is nice. Enjoyed watching football match on screen here. Food serving is good. Taste can be better.
I am big time foodie, I love Jonah's. It's not just food, it about the people around , amazing food with excellent chef around .
you should try there Nasi Goreng, pure Asian taste. opp!!! forgot to click pic. I have dessert pic , Apple crumble was mouth watering.
One of the best continental places in town.
Must Try:
European English Breakfast: Only wish they had Pork bacon instead of Turkey. Rest was perfect.
Beef Steak: Good and clean.
Crispy Honey Chicken- Sweet chicken pieces, slightly crispy. (Was ordered because they said it would be sweet and spicy, however it was only sweet) Nevertheless not a bad option to try.
Issue faced- The beans were the last to be cooked and hence that was hot but the rest of the items were averagely hot in the breakfast.Shouldn’t be that way ideally.
Steak had to be well done but it was not done to perfection. Also it was not as hot as it should have been.
Didn’t bring issues up at the outlet because surely resolving it would take time and we didn’t have that patience.
Service: Average. We’d waned Z Gold but they have us a bill without and it had to be changed etc.

I had a lot about this place and I wasn't disappointed! It was a good hangout for us friends. We ordered pizza and lasagna. It was very delicious and light. Would definitely recommend you to go there.
Quick Lunch at Jonah’s..Gd ambience & comfortable seating..The chicken soup was 2 gd..the dragon chicken is a must try,Overall the food was tasty
This is my to go place!! My friends and I love to hangout here Great food, ambience and service .. Sandwiches and burgers are too good but the pasta needs hasnt risen upto that level
Jonah's Bistro - Here, the first time I had visited and the recent one varied as much as our Indian Palette and of 'la italia'. Chef Willie's kitchen was one the pioneers in bringing Italian fine dining, a prominent part of City's food scene. But, for this recent meet.. I tried the Pan Asian menu.
Its in Poes garden, heart of the city. Has sufficient parking.
We started with a creamy chicken laksa soup which had Asian aroma kindling our appetite. Loved the chicken Satay and beef Kushi kastu. They were made so well. We also had garlic bread mushroom n cheese, salted veggies that were good continental veggie options. Chicken and vegetables wraps were okay.
For Mains we had Nasi goreng along with Rice and Thai red curry. The Indonesian rice was finely done.
Had the Apple pancakes, chocolate marquise and macroons. The desserts were really made well.
A long pending review that slept in my drafts without realising for almost a month.
We were on a tasting session for one of their newer menus, which is probably not that new anymore. Being a fan of their Besant Nagar and Phoenix outlets, a tasting session was something I could not turn down in any case. Located in Poes Garden, where the yesteryear bungalows are famously being converted to upscale restaurants, this table room sits in a vantage. They share the building with Tony and Guy and would be a pretty upscale place in terms of real-estate and locality. I've liked how Jonah's has evolved from a small pastry shop that served awesome waffles in Besant Nagar to a multiple outlet chain that brings home some impressive foreign food in their true authentic sense. The ambiance is compact with way too much decor. The interiors scream class and desperation simultaneously. I loved the upholstery, which was kind of taking my attention away. I could not for once debunk if they had a theme or not. But being Jonah's this is the least I'd care about while the actual focus is on food and only food.
Our menu was set with a chef's special set course of meal. Something to add on to their existing ones.
To start with was the laksa soup. Creamy and rich with coconut milk, the texture was flawless. The flavour was abundant and yet soft. I felt the soup to be pretty filling for on a regular day this would be half my meal. Garlic Bread that came next in was the stereotype. With a decent topping of cheese and mushrooms, they did kill the time till rest of the food could be served.
Salt and pepper vegetables - or as I'd call them, salted tempuras. My expectations fell short when served with a tempura with a fancy name like that. It pretty much had it all, carrots, onions, cauliflower etc. a typical bajji with seasonings sided with a flavoured dip. Not quite sure if the tempura was the accompaniment to the lipsmacking dip.
To do right all the tempura did to the palate was a crispy batter fried cheese sticks. Except this one has a lot more of flavour than cheese. I loved how it went amazingly well with the honey chilly sauce, after a week of eating I'm drooling about the dish now. A new must try as for "curry cheese rolls".
From finedine to street food I confused to see a paneer wrap in the list. Surely out of place, but definitely well made. Tender paneer goes well anywhere. Though an odd one out, it surely stands for the name. They also have a set of wraps that may interest on an off time that's between a lunch and dinner. Moroccan salad was not my thing. I liked the elements in the food which were let down by a soggy texture within minutes after it arrived at the table. It smelt a little weird for my liking so off it goes.
In addition to the newbies we tried Chef Willi's special, pizzas. Over a few decisive reviews and ratings from kin, it was a let down. We had a veg pizza which was thin crusted, with ample cheese on top. Crust didn't grip the cheese well which pulled off too often. I didn't quite like the sauce, which had a bit too raw hint of tomato flavour to it. If that's how y'all eat pizza in Italy, you guys should come the local ones from out fast food (pun intended). I am coming back to try the rest of their pizzas for it's a pretty huge list to try and too good and raved about to miss from.

Great place and amazing ambiance… a very cozy and a comfortable place to have food with friends
First of all the owner was very friendly and professional and took our orders right away
The food was amazing as well generous in quantity and also great in quality and presentation!!!
One of the best places is city , to hang out and have great food at the same time . Tried the most popular ones here and a few recommended ones in other reviews . The service was good. Sometimes it is crowded so it is better to plan accordingly
Excellent ambience. Lovely food quiet and comfortable. But a little bit pricey. Once in a while you can visit!
Wow after very long time we had a Good global fusion food... Enjoyed the meal...
Visited Jonah's and was blown away by the quality of the food and the exceptional service. The atmosphere was elegant and sophisticated, with a relaxing ambiance that made me feel right at home.
The menu offered a range of classic Continental dishes, with a modern twist. The side dishes were equally impressive, with a variety of fresh vegetables and creative starches. The dessert menu was just as impressive, with a selection of decadent desserts that were hard to resist.
Overall, I had a fantastic dining experience at this restaurant and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable meal.
Good place recommended for late evening cravings!! Food served hot and good, but could be improved in terms of the taste. Neat ambience and service. A bit pricey so would recommend only for those willing to spend 400-600 per person !!
Great menu and taste. Surely got something for everyone. You'd definitely love it if you're a hardcore non-vegetarian and got sweet tooth. I loved the fish sizzler - super fresh and the yummiest I've ever had.
I've visited this place quite often and it has never disappointed me in terms of food. From what I've tried so far the notable items were panini, lotus stem fry, onion rings and mushroom soup
The food was super good, and the candle light set up also was perfectlyy done by them. Totally loved the experience. And the main thing which i MUST say is the Hospitality by the persons there and the manager cannot be compared To anyone other manager. The store manager (Durai Shakti) was much caring and he made sure everything is satisfied by us all time.
Totaly a good experience here. An affordable price, quality time spent with the loved one.
Tasty food in a very good location. All the food very tasty. Especially we ordered a pasta and it was mouthwatering.
Even though availability of parking is less they have valet parking and the person was very helpful in parking the car.
Though the price was on the higher side it complements nicely by its taste and quality . A must try if you are near this area.
Small and trendy place. Their burgers and pizzas are great. The choice of starters are amazing, so is the desserts. Their Continental items are far better as usual. Willi offers loads of veg options too.
I am surprised with the number of negative comments here, visited this place in spite of reading the reviews last Sunday. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of food and it was delicious , the service was great , thoroughly enjoyed the experience . Will definitely visit again.

Awesome food and taste. I prefer it over any cafe in Chennai. Mr. Durai in Poes Garden branch offers best & warm hospitality and personally customises every dish.
