I had chilli burnt noodles which were amazing. They provide a variety of sauces to choose from. The manager was very polite. He even got the dimsums made for us again in a different manner since we weren't satisfied with the taste.

I have been visiting Mainland china from my school days, from those days they had the restaurant in Aruna hotel, Nungabakkam. They have been very consistent yet innovative with their food. I should say they have maintained their standards for so long and have been working on the menu every single time i visit.
This time i visit the joint in Velachery mall and the taste was again fresh and mind blowing.
Do visit this place if you a Oriental cuisine lover and do visit even if you are not to experience the food orgasms.

Mainland China says they are speciality restaurant and I should say make your meal extra special. If you are amid lover of Chinese cuisine and ready spend some extra don't think about any other place. Visited on the eve of New year and it was packed house. Had prawn Momo, crispy mutton, sea fish platter, mixed noodles and their special jaggero- palm- dates ice cream. Each of them tastes awesome and showed classiness. To mention mint twist and orange punch made the lunch heavenly. Big thumbs up for Mainland China team.

On weekends, it's better to reserve seats. Fortunately,the time I went,there were seats available for just two of us. Instead of the normal paper menus, it was digital. A tablet was handed over to me. To be honest,it was tough to choose the options. One mistake and the tablet locks itself. I had to call the waiter in order to assist me. I found it a little annoying. Either ways, they read the items again from the tablet,just to confirm the order. I had ordered a Sichuan chilli babycorn and chicken with assorted pepper for starters. They have a option of either regular or large size for most of their dishes. So based on the quantity needed,we can order. :) Finally,for the main course, I ordered Toban Fried Rice with Edamame Vegetable. This was the spiciest of the dishes and it tasted so good. Overall, I had a wonderful experience.

We had a wonderful time at Mainland China located in Phoenix Marketcity. We had ordered Wok tossed Hakka noodles chicken. The Braised chicken in smoked chilli sauce was yum! Service by the staff was also very good! The complimentary drinks and coconut cake just made our day.

Absoultely great Chinese food and exceptional service from start to finish. Probably the best Chinese in Chennai (on par with Golden Dragon at half the price). Hot and Sour soup, Pepper chicken, vegetables in burnt chilli sauce and veg edamame fried rice were all 10/10.

Visited the restaurant for lunch on a weekend and we were seated almost immediately. We ordered the Thai Dimsums and the Pan Fried Noodles and both the dishes were brilliant.Our waiter Rajiv was extremely courteous as well and contributed to a memorable experience.

Ordered Thai style chicken dumplings, Crispy chicken with smoked chillies and Pan fried chicken noodles with hot garlic sauce.
The dumplings were ok ish with a strong lemon grass flavour. The crispy chicken was great. It resembled the KFC chicken popcorn but seasoned with smoked red chillies. The pan fried noodles tasted well with the mildy spicy hot garlic sauce.
Excellent service from Mr.Tarak. And thanks to him for the complimentary Kiwi blast mocktail. It was yum too.

Excellent food served by courteous staffs. A decent good restaurant in the Pheonix Market City, Velachery. The Celery Twist is a big highlight and a must try menu at their restaurant.

Mainland China is a winner all-round in this gastronomical race. Right from Mr. Rana’s warm welcome quite late in the night, to a pleasant ambience, delicious dishes and extremely courteous staff - it was definitely a smooth, memorable and perfect late-night dinner! The Seafood festival is GREAT and a must-try. Desserts, food and spice hits the right palette. Mr Rana is a wonderful executive who takes such good care of all the customers, and his staff are in turn courteous too. In a nutshell, Mainland China reminded us again why its so great!
The food here is excellent and always served and presented in a pleasant way ( Special mention to Mr. Rana Mitra for showcasing outstanding hospitality each and every visit and helping out with selection of the best dishes as per taste). Additionally the portions here are filling.

Not very often on a Monday evening after office do we travel all the way to Velachery for dinner, but today we did after getting to know about their seafood festival. And I'm very glad we did!!The Singapore Chilli Crab was lipsmacking and the Shanghai seafood noodles was perfect. The nolen gurer ice-cream with hot chocolate rolls was the icing on the cake. Besides, they have always been very warm hosts!!
We dropped by for a quick lunch in the Phoenix market city. And we had ordered hakka noodles few plates of dimsums , dragon fish and few more chicken main course. Mr.Rana was serving us and it was very courteous of him. The service was top notch. And the food was wonderful.

My favourite place for Chinese food!! The aroma,the feel and the taste of food is so sophisticated and good that I never miss the chance to visit this place. I tried the hakka noodles and fried rice with lemon chicken. Also,there was a special dessert of dates icecream which was heavenly. The service is fine too.
i had a good time here with my family. The service was really prompt and outstanding. Food was yamm too. Very easy to find out when you are at mall. My son just loved their dark chocolate being served at last.

We were a group of 4 and got a table immediately. The server gave us a tab as a menu what was unique and modernised; and a separate special menu as seafood festival is going on there. Guys what to say We got confused and took help of one of the server named Tapas who helped us with the signature dishes.
We ordered sizzling spinach, lamp chops, Dimsum, Bombay duck fish and a chicken called pickled coriander special chicken.
Trust me guys we loved each and every dishes.
For mains we ordered fukein crabmeat fried rice 🍛 and a fish called orange beans. The combo was perfect.

This was my first visit to Mainland Chennai in Phoenix Mall,Velachery.I must say that the Ambience,Food Quality was excellent.The Staff were very courteous,especially Mr.Anjan and Mr.Suman.We went to celebrate our Marriage Anniversary today and we were greeted with a special Cake and Desert as well.
A special Thank you to the Manager who was very courteous and professional and took all efforts to make our Anniversary Dinner as special as possible.

This place has been great for Chinese food, in Chennai. Rana ensures that we have the very best of food. His suggestions have never failed to impress us. He also goes out of the way to get dishes not on the menu prepared for us. Coming to the food - we've always loved coming to this place. Absolutely delicious food. For a brief time about a year and a half ago the quality had slipped a bit but now they are back to serving lip smacking food. Coming to the service - the staff here is very courteous, led by Rana. The service is quick and efficient. Can't wait to come back here for my next meal.

We tried Japanese wheat noodles iced tea, , basil flavoured chicken dumplings and some main course suggested by them. It was a good place little higher on the expense side .
Mainland China in phoenix market City has a big dining space and we could see big crowd dining here. The place had a pretty good ambience with dimming lights that had a soothing vibe. The food was good but the quantity could have been more for the price we pay and the service could have been better. Our food got delayed and at one point we were not even feeling hungry. The air conditioning also could have been better as when the crowd came it became warmer inside. Overall it was a decent experience and one could check out their food varieties.
The restaurant is inside Phoenix mall. Good place for family get together. Service is good. Food is good. Prices are ok. They are charging 10 per cent of total amount as service charge, I think that is not justified.
Great food and ambience. Expensive of course but worth it. We had ordered veg and edamame fried rice with exotic veggies in hot basil sauce and sweet chilli potatoes. It was excellent.
The drinks are average we had watermelon cilantro crush and iced teas.

Experience was good. We ordered Crispy Konji Lamb fry, it was good and so crisp. And wok tossed noodles, which was okay but not upto expected. And hot and sour soup was good and the momo was different and good, especially the sauce they gave was different from what I tasted. Though its not an all time favourite spot, we can just give it a try.
You will never know the true taste of Chinese cuisine until you visit this place.
By far, the best Chinese i have tasted till date, worth every penny and every inch of your taste buds😋.
The warm and courteous welcome by the staffs and the managers bringing a Bengali homely vibe to the place kind of takes it up to the next level.
I happen to meet a Manager with the good name of Rana, from a Bengali family.
He was very warm and friendly in welcoming and suggesting dishes, as well as sharing a good laugh in our own native language😄
