They serve all North Indian dishes here. I just love love their food. The quality is so amazing. I have visited this restaurant twice and both the times i have tried different dishes and everything was just satisfying. Their pulao, dahi papdi - the curd was so fresh and yummy and everything was perfectly right, the veg sandwich - honestly i expected it to be small 2 slices but such thick filled 4 sliced and layered sandwich, their pav bhaji and everything that they have, especially samosas and badam milk, i cannot say anything is actually better than the quality and taste of their food. Their staff were decent and kind. You just have to wait for a table if you go during peak hours but otherwise everything smooth. If you see as a third person the prices would seem pricey, but after eating you will have a smile when you see the bill, because the food is so satisfying for the quality and quantity, you will feel every rupee was worth it. Simple interiors and nice. If given a chance i will visit this place again.

Jalebi was brilliant, very tasty. So was the samosa and Kachori. Had also ordered 5 packets of Puri s or pani puri which was very good quality. Fafda is still packed and I’ve not tasted it. Miss the fafda ka chutney that usually comes along with the fafda. Over all very good.

We decided to try Kakada Ramprasad in Kilpauk and check out what they have for breakfast.
They actually open at 9 AM, but seemed to have a makeshift counter which is open early and serves Khaman, Samosa, Kachori, Jalebis and so on. Fafda was an obvious miss, they had it in packets, but they didn’t serve it like the other dishes.
We decided to start with a Kachori each, I would have liked a little more of Mint chutney than the tomato chutney, but no complaints, tasted very good.
Khaman was soft, rightly moist and tasty along with the green chutney. Most people don’t know the subtle difference between Khaman and Dhokla and they are interchangeably used in most places. In theory, I know the difference but haven’t tasted both at the same place and exactly experienced it.
Samosa was good too, crispy outers and the potato filling inside tasted yummy.
Meanwhile hot Jalebis were getting prepared, and we couldn’t wait to try! It tasted wonderful and surprisingly not cloying at all. The sweet was just rite and we relished it.
Overall, tasty food without a doubt.
Everything there is amazing. My favorite is brownie with icecream. Don't miss out on them.
Ambiance: It has seated fine dining and also an outdoor chat corner for little eats.

I always visit this place for their hot jilebis! I love their badam kheer too! The staff are a bit lazy and lethargic to respond. That aside a good place with some good food!
Kakada the first thing that come to my mind is chat Items.....my all time favourite for early morning craving for jalebi and dhokla.
After my spicy breakfast on sundays I usually visit to this for the jalebi and Dhokla., my frequent visit to this place and more good menu for north style cuisines.
No complaints on taste it reaches its level, if you are a ghee lover then this place is heaven.

The jalebis here r simply awesome... Hot, crisp, juicy. Though the price is little on the higher side but they r worth it.
Samosa, mirchi Baji, chaat everything is top notch.
Pani Puri is served with 3 panis and they try to maintain the hygiene as well.
Aloo paratha served with dal makhni and raita is lip smacking awesome. Must try.
The taste of all the street food served here is typical of what u get in North India.
The legendary place in Chennai kinda lived up to its name. Almost! I still think gangotree has the best papdi chaat but it was a close second. Also the Aloo tikki chaat was mind blowing and V close to dilli walla chaat. It was good. Samosa was decent as well. Must try

Most definitely the unexpected underdog when it comes to almost any cuisine. I have not been disappointed with a single dish that I have ordered here so far, be it italian, Mexican, indian, desserts, chaats or sweets. But the place refuses to serve water.
Had a fabulous experience.The food was high quality and the chaats were as good as the nachos.The service was friendly and prompt.
The desserts we had require special mention as the falooda and the jalebis were exceptional and actually reminded us of the authentic bombay tastes.

Let me start off by saying that rarely we find all the dishes we order up to the mark! However this restaurant was a tick on all the dishes. Right from soup, to starters to some more starters and finally the main course! Sometimes you simply want to have good tasty food without being bothered about much fanfare and also not to bother on deciding the worth of the dish before ordering it! Kakada Ramprasad is just the place! Right from the simple tomato soup we ordered to the delectable Tawa Pulav and Dum Biryani, everything was perfect. We tried Brocoli Malai, a starter, and enjoyed it thoroughly. The Tacos were called in for the second helping, thanks to the freshness of ingredients and taste. Bombay Vada Pav made us nostalgic and so did the Ragada Pattice. Today was a day of experimentation and we had to try varieties. There was some delay in serving us the Biryani, however the courteous staff made it up by offering us some complimentary pan juice, which again was totally refreshing! Please visit this place and a suggestion reach early...the tables get filled up very fast!

With much expectation, got into kilpauk outlet. Its a huge place and ambience is really good when comp to sowcarpet.

This is very good place for chaat and quick bites. I really like the kesar badam milk from this place. The jalebis are also really good and tasty. I have tried their dhokla and fafda which are quite decent. The food packaging is very good and there are no leakages or any damages found. The food is nice and hot too. Will definitely try out some more snacks and chaat from here.

Alu Tikki Chat : nice crisp tikki , the curd could hv been better .. missed the sweet fresh flavour of curd . Nevertheless was good
Pav Bhaji : generously buttered pav with a nice tangy bhaji .. thoroughly enjoyed it
Pasta Arabiatta : I'm not found of tomato based sauce , but this one I loved it
Chola Bhatura : the pic is not clear but omg it's so huge . Liked the bhatura. The chole had too much oil ..
Aloo Methi Paratha : Served with Dal Makhni n Curd .. generously filled stuffing n the paratha was quite big .. was nice
Overall enjoyed the dinner , will visit them to try something else on their menu .

This place is awesome for their sweets , as far as what I have bought and tried . Have bought ladoo and jalebi . Jalebi is their best , despite 30 mins for delivery it was still hot which means they making then and there . Also the box is designed for the steam to go out so vapour does not form and make it soggy . A must try .

The kakada is mainly known for its sweets & chaats. But as per my personal liking the North Indian thali served here is the best. It's tasty unlimited for 300/- and totally worth it. Coming to their sweets jalebi is again worth mentioning, lassi quite expensive for qty but not bad and in chaats pani puri does justice. Rest all are k. Pricing is decent for the quality offered.

Kakada is famous for it's chats and especially the badam milk is literally awesome and the prices are reasonable and the chats are good and even they have restaurant .
please add sweets menu also.lots of varieties of sweets are there which we like to see and order online as everyone knows sweets are all occasion friendly dessert.

A heaven for chat lovers. You can fill your mouth with yumilicious chaat such as dahi puri, Paani puri, onion kachodi. My fav from the store is “tava pulao”, “dahi puri”, “khaman (aka dhokla) and “paani puri”. A must visit store in Chennai for North Indian food.
Best jalebi I have ever tasted... it’s fully made up of ghee must try and I also ordered paneer tikka sizzler which was also yummy... forgot to take pic of the badam milk which was also yummy but one thing is when compared to last time I felt the badam was less but it’s yummy and worth when compared to other badam milk which we get here at chennai... must try

Good place for badam milk, milk peda and mathura peda. Tried all 3 and all of them wer tremendous. A must try place in Chennai. Wpuld recommend to everyone try this place atleast once if you visit Chennai. Dont miss the badam milk. N do follow me n remember me when try the badam milk.

We regularly buy Bengalii sweets from this place especially Malai Gulla is particularly tasty.
I have had chaat items from here and my favourite is the Raj Kachori and the Bhel Puri.
They have a restaurant but I have still not tried the food there.
The place is usually packed in the evenings particularly they have many takers for their chat items.The Badam drink served here is also a best seller and is thick and packed with nuts.
The legendary Kakada Ramprasad! One of the best chaats u will get in chennai, though a bit costly and always crowded! Make sure u dont miss the piping hot jalebis from here! Even the restaurant on top is a good one !
Had the badam milk. It tastes so good.... 😋😋There no diluting of milk or flavours. Wonderfully rich in taste. And a bonus, it was perfectly chilled.

Awesome chaat here ! Love the freshly made jellabi’s so tempting and almost melt in your mouth . The badam milk is superb too . Samosas are great , they have pani puri with different flavors and sandwiches . Pav Bhaji is also nice . The sweets are delicious . My favourite is the dry fruit Ladoo . They have a wide variety to choose from . They also pack it beautifully to gift to ur friends and loved ones ❤️

This joint offers a variety of Chat items..starting from Samosa, Kachori to Types of Pav Paaji, Bhel / Sev Puri, Papdi Chat, Aloo Tikki.
We had Pav Paaji, Bhel Puri, Alu Tikki Chat, Sev Puri, Paani Puri.
Pav was soft and the Paaji was tasting good. Alu Tikki was kind of ok (not so great because of the oil smell or so). Sev Puri was good . Cost is slightly on the higher side. Atmosphere is decent. You are expected to see a good crowd in the evening and hence there could be a delay in the billing process and the food delivery.
Once in a while you can visit the place, if you have an urge for chat items.

Kakada Ramprasad Is a nice Veg Restaurant cum snack shop. I went for lunch. Tried the lachaa paratha n sabji combo. The paratha was fresh. The sabji was spicy but very fresh.
The service was good. They were efficient. I would recommend everyone try it out. They have a good collection of sweets n savories. They have a chaat counter also. Parking is available. However it is on a relatively busy street. So plan accordingly.

This place serves really good and hot Jalebi. The Nachos here was too good and filling. The waiting time to get a table is long but it's worth the wait. We also had Sizzler which was served well and again filling enough for 2 people.
Very good place to try various sweets and north indian dishes. The main branch is in sowcarpet, but this one is also equally amazing. According to me the Badam milk and Jilebi are their stand out must try sweet dishes. There are many chat items, sweets, savouries and lot more to try here. The badam milk costs Rs 140 per cup, but it's really value for money. Do check out this if you are ready to spend a bit more money on sweets, chats and so.
Went there to try chat items and had to sit inside as self service was bit crowded. Ordered Raj kachori, cheese pav bhaji and royal falooda. Kachori was very good. Pav bhaji and falooda aren't as tasty as expected. Bit pricy as these items costed ₹507.
They have a valet car parking but it's on the roadside only. Next day we tried Tava pulao, gobi Manchurian dry and jalebi in swiggy. All three items were very tasty and jalebi was awesome.
In Oct'2023, tried veg hakka noodles, mexican sizzlers and jalebi. Sizzlers was very tasty. Noodles and jalebi are okay.

Only one complaint: chole could've been more spicier. Rest were all great.

Kakada Ramprasad has been and is the leading north indian snacks and food shop in chennai. This branch has a live chaat counter and a restaurant for dining in. Everything on the live corner tastes blissful when eaten hot. Highly recommend. It gets crowded on weekends with 20+ mins waiting time but otherwise it's a hell of a place for your chaat cravings.

One of famous chat house which setup in one of the prime locations of Chennai. Ambience is very attractive and very welcoming. Place is well organised for dining, quick-bite and in-store shopping. Well behaved staffing. Paani poori is must try with different flavours of paani. Place will always be crowded. Definitely a 5 star rating place but price is too high based on reputation and craze. So I had to settle for 4 star.
Located in Omres road a very busy spot. It's full of North Indian dishes, can find lots of varities. Cost wise it's quite high whereas taste wise it's good though. Famous for its chaat items and north Indian thali, kakda Ramprasad is famous for its authentic North Indian flavours. We ordered ragada patties, chhole bhature, Raj kachori for starters. For the main course we receive a plate of cheesy pasta in red sauce and a large thali with unlimited side dishes and rotis. For dessert we ordered Jalebi and triple chocolate Sundae ice cream. The Jalebi is freshly prepared as seen in the photo.
