Tried wine here and it was good but the quantity could have a little bit more.
This place has superb ambience. There are lots of plants, which makes the place great for a relaxing day. The food was delicious. The only problem was the service, it was super slow. The staff were non-attentive. They just don't bother about you. They didn't even place glasses for us. If the management can do something about the staff then this place deserves a 5.
Nice place to hangout on a evening. This is for ppl who needs a calm place to spend their time. Food was good and I would not say it is extraordinary considering the price.

D cafe has a calm and relaxing ambience. They do serve very good Italian food. Pizza , fish fingers, jumbo prawns are absolutely delicious. It’s a perfect place for romantic dinner dates. Though the portions are limited for the price, it’s definitely worth visiting.

I first found this place about seven years ago, walking down the streets of T. Nagar. We popped in for snacks that day, and I've brought my family a few times since.
The ambience is amazing, you feel like you're at an island cafe, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Food is alright, but we love to have the appetizers and a drink or two when we come here, to soak up the ambience.
So the first thing you notice is definitely the ambience . It’s a cute setting,perfect place to try with your partner. The first course was cream of mushroom soup which was really good in terms of taste but I wish it was served hot and not warm. They serve non alcoholic wine which pairs well with the kind of food that is served . The portions are generous and flavorful. Would definitely recommend this place when you want a relaxed lunch to spend time with your gang/partner.
Very nice place for birthday celebration. The ambience is lovely. They make table decorations with balloons, lights and it’s done on a cup shaped table, it looked cute. Food was good, not great but the overall experience was nice.

They have beautiful outdoor dinning with green lawns and plants , and indoor dining has a glass doors so has to feel the greenery with the right ventilation.
There were good cushions and few futons and we decided to sit in the tea cup shaped wooden seater.

Oh my God!!! From where should I start? The place, the food? Everything is freaking awesome. The quantity of the food is best than any other restaurants to be honest. Chipotle was outstanding. The place was peaceful, the waiter was friendly, being silly I asked for some buttons and the waiter was so sweet enough and to give me some. I loved the place. Would recommend anyone who's reading this to go and give a try. Also, I would suggest not to order too many food at once coz the amount they give is insane, yet you can take home the left overs as parcel. Love love love this place!!!!!!!

Perfect place for a cosy date, great ambience considering the busy location it is in. It's a garden cafe which also has a couple of tables indoors for people who wanna stay air-conditioned. A neat hang out for a variety of cuisine in one spot offering Asian, Mexican, Italian food. Great ambiance and seating. Good service. A bit more than what your wallet can handle, but then what are the cards for. Saturday & Sunday are usually crowded, so a good plan can make for a great weekend.
The rating is purely for location. They have outdoor n indoor seating. The interiors are trendy. Food is not that great but can give a try. I'm a veggie so no comments about non veg food.

Been here a couple of times. Love the outdoor seating. This is one of their biggest highlight. The interiors are nicely done up with buttons. Have not tried the food much, coffee is good.

Stunning ambiance in a place like Tnagar is a major plus for this place, I would always prefer the open couches where I get to spend my evening with a cup of cappuccino :)

A chill joint in a busy area. They have outdoor seating with plants and a lovely ambience. Their pasta was good as all pastas should be. 😂 Cheesy and extremely filling. The sizzlers are very average. After the taste of pasta and chicken sides, the sizzler rice and gravy was a let down. The notable aspect here is their choice of wine. A classy glass of red wine and the meal was complete. They were gracious enough to let us cut a birthday cake as well. This place gets points for ambience above food.
One of my Favourite place in Chennai, whenever I'm down or upset, I'll be here. Best ambient with mild Jukebox always around you, such a neat place. Interior designs will be top notch. Hospitality one the best in Chennai. With all these they will serve you such a class foods, there will few items in the menu that's the only concern. This place filled with nice auro! It will uplift your energies from nowhere!. I'll forget I'm in Chennai for a while.

Visited randomly with lot of second thoughts and but boy this place did surprise me. We ordered alla creme soup, phuket fish, fried rice and Cajun chicken sizzler.
Everything was top notch and mouth watering.
Only suggestion is on service. Every dish took long time to arrive. I would've given a 5 if not for the service.

Well the ambience and interiors at D'cafe is totally amazing. Waiters are very friendly. A very nice place to sit and talk your heart out. Lighting and architecture is way too good. Food is great. Must visit atleast once.
We frequent this restaurant for its quiet and exquisite ambiance.. when its not humid the outdoors is really good..you can stare at antique interior decors.. food is good no complaints there especially the Thai food is delicious and loved the red velvet cupcake.. staff are courteous.. biggest problem is the amount of mosquito bites we endure

When you get everything right, one would start looking into the minor details. I thoroughly enjoyed the dinner here , both taste wise and the ambiance. A cozy and beautifully set place ...You would get the feeling of being back at home for the holidays...Such a laid back setup with small surprises of seatings (the big cup n saucer) makes it all the more interesting. I recommend this place to anyone who would appreciate a calm and casual place to have food and brilliant button art(really loved it)..
Just a couple of problems
1) the brand is so inconsistent...The D keeps changing from place to place and the brand design is not the strongest.
2) you have drums of heaven in the menu and it says chicken wings which is not the case. We ordered it because it was wings but obviously we were disappointed. The wait staff made it worse by insisting that the drumsticks were wings. Please fix the menu and get ur wait staff a lil training(very difficult to understand them)

A must visit place just for the ambience. I had the Thai noodles with seafood and it tasted pretty good. The portions are quite filling as well. Same with the white pasta. Their cold coffee also tasted very nice. Bt it was a bit pricey. Will return to try the rest of the menu.

Just ordered a panner skewers and Alfredo pasta🍄 The taste is really worth every penny u spend here.. The ambience looks really good.. the thing which was really missing was the authentic flavour of Italian course otherwise easily rated 4 and above ! The strawberry🍑 mojito will remain as my favorite drink! You should try atleast once :)

T Nagar has restaurants spread around everywhere in all its nook and corners. D Cafe is one out of the many and seems to have been around for a while now. I was supposed to catch up with a couple of old friends and this was chosen at random or more so because of its ambience.
Location - take the left off Usman road if you're headed towards Panagal park to get on to Bazullah road and you can find this onto your right after a couple of 100 metres.
Ambience - walk over a small bridge of sorts and you're greeted by a lot of green cover. A small path leads you to the space with wide and comfortable couches. Kitchen is situated parallel to the tables behind wall and glass enclosures. On the other side is a room with a few tables for those who wish to sit indoors. In between is the garden area with fancy wooden tables and greenery in abundance. Further ahead, you find huge cup and saucer shaped wooden sitting arrangement. Ambience definitely steals the show here.
Staff and service - we happened to visit them at an hour when it was absolutely empty. Probably this was one reason they seemed slightly laid back. Having said that, there wasn't any goof up or delay that could get us complaining but nothing special that sticks around in my memory.
Food and menu - it was more of a post lunch get together so beverages is what we stuck to.
Cold coffee - too much froth and too less sugar were major killers. Flavour of coffee was right on the money though. Extra sugar was provided on request and that took care of it a wee bit.
Hazelnut frappe - no complaints whatsoever with this one. Be it the taste of hazelnut or the consistency in texture right throughout the drink, it had been prepared well. Too much of milk can take away the effect of the basic ingredient. Fortunately, that wasn't the case with this one.
Hot chocolate - the best drink of the evening. Served slightly hot, perfect amount of sugar and hint of real chocolate in its pristine form. Thickness of hot chocolate is a tricky affair and one needs to make the smallest of error in maintaining its consistency to waste the drink. They don't end up committing that mistake and what's served is a good cup of standard hot chocolate.
Price factor shares middle ground as 540/- isn't entirely pocket friendly for the above drinks. A look into their food preparations would give a better picture about the place.

The food is absolutely delicious and tasty. The chef's salad and grilled veg sandwich is absolutely filling (separately). Veg shaslik rice is indeed the best savoured flavour i ve tasted. With the brownie shake melting in your tongue and ice tea giving that citrus twist with a pleasant ambiance and soft music, the food is wholesome and awesome! Only drawback is it takes time to make the munchy bites. Would have given 5 if not for the delayed service.

Visited this café situated in Bazullah road, T.Nagar one fine evening for just some quick bites. Parking facility is available at this place and the ambience was beautiful. A 4.2/5 for the ambience but the food was just about average.
We ordered a portion of Chicken Satay, Chicken Alfredo sandwich and the brownie tornado (chilled beverage), which was quoted to be a D Cafe speciality.
The chicken satay was good but the peanut dip was really bad. The sandwich was brilliant. It was palatable and perfectly toasted with a generous amount of filling.
The brownie tornado was also just average. In my opinion when a dish is quoted to be their speciality then it should look and taste out of the box. But here, the sprinkled chunks of brownie pieces on the top were hard and that was truly disappointing. Apart from that it was a standard chocolate shake with chocolate brownies.
Prices were standard. But I would expect a better quality of the food for these prices. Taxes levied are comparatively lesser as compared to many other cafés.
Service and hospitality were excellent.

DISHES AND COST:
Wide variety of Italian dishes and starters are Available. Cost is bit higher when compared to other Restaurants. Where a Basic Milk shake is being served for Rs. 200.
TASTE: Nothing to worry about the Taste, Its a worth for money.
RESERVATION: usually Reservations not necessary during day, because the peak hours are after 6pm , Hence Reservations may be needed after 6pm, to avoid unavailability of the Table.
HOSPITALITY : The Food is being served by kind servers. But the Wait time is little bit higher, where you can spend that time with your loved ones and good place for making a photoshoot.
This is the Italian restaurant. They have only Italian dishes there. But whatever we order it really tasts good, especially, for people who are familiar with Italian dishes. This restaurant's setup was like a bar. Its dark and has some private areas where other people do not disturb you when having food. People over there have some good hospitality skills. They have starters, main dishes, side dishes, pizza, sandwiches, pasta, noodles etc., No Indian dishes are served.
Food was great and Atmosphere is really really good .. Damn such a great place in city but the price seems to high .. If prices are comfortable then you can really enjoy this place , For a group of 4 it costed roughly 3.5K .
It's a wonderful restaurant with decor that helps you connect with nature. The food items are pretty good and satisfy a foodies needs and are reasonably priced . It is a lovely place for a catch-up session with friends or a romantic date spot . Overall it has a very nice ambience to it and to all the majors , yes , they do serve drinks .
