I loved the plethora of cuisines offered on the menu. The best one was Chicken dhansak platter. Loved the caramelized onions in the rice and the taste of desi ghee. Also loved the sabudana vada that my husband order. The prawn fritters with prawn papad was a delicious starter. The quantity is quite a lot for one person so make sure you are going to the eatery with complete appetite ! Loved the ambience and the food . Thanks Bharat Bistro for being Chennai’s finest.
A long bookmarked place but finally made at the last day of girf festival at 50% off. We ordered majorly chef recommended dishes. The captain was also great in suggesting the best in vegans.
The dishes we ordered were -
roasted pumpkin soup with cappucino and ginger, Kurkure bhindi with salad and green chillis, Canape with kadai paneer, dal makhani (one of the best I had), panner makhani gravy with olives, cheese & jalapeno kulcha. Kokum sharbhat was perfect and helped wash down these tasty food.
One disappointment for me was gulab jamun cheese cake which I had high expectation with. I have had a better version and I prefer with less gulab jamuns and more cheese.
Service was great and ambience likable and calm. Prices are definitely at higher side even with 50% discount felt it was on upside. Well overall it was worth a visit.
Today we visited bharat bistro for lunch. We were very much impressed with the ambience. We were attended by Mr. Kuldeep, who was very kind and explained about the menus and gave good suggestions. Food was simply stunning and all the meats properly cooked. We had a great time there
5 star for the ambiance at night! We were a group of vegetarians, though this place is known for non-veg food. Food was very good and so was the service. So this what we had.
Soup: Tomato Saar. Was amazing.
Starters:
Kurkure Bhindi. Your regular okra fry. Not that great.
Chowringee in a box: God this was awesome.For North Indians, this is our typical Bengali street food.
Sides: We had Kadai aloo and Dhaba style paneer lababdar.
You know how potatoes are half baked in restaurants all the time? That is not the case here, it was just too good. And Paneer was just melt in the mouth.
Mains:
Garlic cheese naan - Loved it
Jalapeno chili and cheese kulcha - Good, but not that impressive.
Awadhi Vegetable Biryani - For a vegetarian who loves biryani's this was very nice.
Overall too good, worth the visit.

There are only few places which I can trust to have good food, Bharat Bistro being one of them. Bharat Bistro cenotaph road chennai is a family favorite and one of the most visited places for any of ours celebrations.
This Chennai outlet was a first time visit for me. Easily accessible and located in the first floor, the place is airy and lighted. The place is spacious and quite elegantly done up.
North Indian food us the USP and you will not leave disappointed. The starters deserve a special mention. I tried the Rajasthani pyaz ki kachori and chop Dahi ke kebab.
For the veg, I went for the Dal makhni , the lusciousness with each bite was evident for the dish. One of the best findings from the day and is a must must have here.
Main course was garlic cheese naan, butter chicken, Kashmiri mutton rogan josh. Though the butter chicken was as fab as eve and it was cooked in a delicious curry.
Nothing can beat gulab jamuns and that's what I had for desserts.
Overall a meal which was certainly soul satisfying.
We ordered the Konkan prawn, the Lucknow mutton Briyani, Goan fish curry, steamed rice and two desserts. One was with rabdi and the other one was bibinca or something like that. The food was really tasty and the service too. Initially we were about to order naans for the gravy but the waiter told that the curry would be the best with rice. The waiter also kept heating water and replaced it for us every now and then. Overall it was really good. Also plenty of light and nice welcoming ambience.
Kebabs were so tender and juicy. Both Veg Nf Non Veg were great!!! Love it 😍

A classy fine dining restaurant, thats how you can describe Bharat Bistro. Attended the kebab bazaar which is on its kind buffet happening at bharat Bistro. It's unlimited and has both Veg and non veg dishes. The menu set for the festival was absolutely amazing loved their starters like tangdi kebab and Maas ka soole. All the kebabs were perfectly marinated and cooked to perfection. Their butter chicken biryani and their desserts was a killer. Will update my review after I try thier al carte menu. Verdict - a nice place with good ambience that serves some great food.
We went for lunch after seeing kebab bazaarr fest... starters are good we got 14 varieties.... briyani n butter chicken masala was good and dessert are good.

Went there along with my better half to try their Kebab Bazaar which is unlimited Kababs,Breads,Briyani and Desserts priced at Rs999 which is a good deal.There was an unending succession of kababs both non veg and veg which are on rotation daily.
Loved the Tandoori Broccoli ,Aloo Corn Tikki,Moti Mushroom kabab which was mushroom caps stuffed with a cream mixture and finished off in the tandoor. They were so juicy and full of creamy flavour and ;iterally just melt in the mouth.
From the non veg selection,the pick of the lot were the delicately spiced Ajwaini Prawns,the beautifully seasoned and cooked cubes of Fish Tikka and the delicious Bistro Chicken Tikka.
The Amul Sheek Kabab came with a blob of Amul butter and with the addition of the flavoured salts provided, tasted good,
From the main course selection loved the Hyderabadi Chicken Briyani and the spicy ,tangy Chicken Rogini which paired well with the Laccha Parartha and the soft Naans.
But the piece de resistance had to be the Smoked dal Makhni which was presented beautifully in a wicker basket and the smoky flavour enhancing the creamy ,delicious dal. Just loved it and a must have dish.
To finish of the lovely meal we had soft Gulab Jamoon and a velvety Rice Kheer both served with a Vanilla Ice Cream.
That was quite a meal for both the eyes and tongue to savour coupled with exemplary service.
Kosha Mangsho is my favourite here !
A cute place in the heart of Adyar, Chennai. Was not straightforward to locate at first, but got there eventually. The staff there are very polite and courteous. I was served by Kuldeep Singh, who was very kind and attentive to my needs. I think the place has good biryanis, but you need to come more often and taste the different varieties of Indian food they have to offer, as the variety is large. But definitely worth bringing family and friends, and definitely a place to visit again, in order to enjoy a good meal.
For the first time I have been to this place and expect the unexpected... The place was so good and the staffs were very friendly.. our staff was bikash Naik and he was very sweet and he guided us very well through the menu..for the first time we were tasting such rich and yummy food.Must visit place with friends and family

Highly recommend the place for Indian fusion food. Food is absolutely delicious with a good mix of north and south Indian cuisines ! Definitely going back here !
I'd heard only good things about this place before walking in and to my surprise it did not disappointed. Maybe even exceed my expectations. To me this is a kind of place I'd bring my friends and family to.
Ambience- A studio-ish/Arty vibe that's fresh and much needed in Chennai
Service- lovely and on point. Special mention to our wonderful waiter Mr. Mikas ( hope I got his name right)
Menu- It felt almost rejuvenating to see a menu like this after hordes of the same stuff in different fonts.
Food- The absolutely yummy part. I fell in love with the food over and over with every bite. The plating, the flavours... Just so good.
Pricing- On the higher side, but I don't think anyone would mind after eating such a gorgeous meal.
Can't wait for my next visit!

We really love the food... it’s a must visit place for a good North Indian cuisine and Mr. Kuldeep Singh was really good at helping us with the selection of dishes and he’s very sweet.. Gulab Jamoon cheese cake is delicious
Good food..kuldip Singh was very friendly and made us feel at home..the chaas with smoky flavour tasted and smelled a bit weird..if u r looking for a typical traditional chasas this is not the one...
The food is great. Good ambiance. It's great for family outings. We had a pineapples juice, hara bhara veg and non veg kebab, kashmiri pulav and a mutton gravy. The kebab was my favourite. Do try it if you love north indian food.

I'm soooo happy to write about my experience with Bharat bistro... To say it was very quick lunch... I reserved my table 12noon unfortunately I'm unable to reach on time since I don't have much time to have food I placed my order thru phone so that it will be served asap once I reached the restaurant... Everything was perfectly went as I expected... The service is really awesome... The ambience is really good... I would like to appreciate Mr. Kuldeep Singh who's service was mentionable... I ordered tandoori jingha was sooo delicious... Masala well blended with prawn I just loved it... Green chilli chicken skewers alsooo yummy spicy... Hyderabad briyani is up to the mark .. parathas was fine... And in drink I ordered cenotaph road something I forgotten was good... I had very good experience with Bharat bistro... Become my favorite... The place where service parsi fooods... Is highlight...

Went here for my early birthday lunch and it was truly a wonderful experience I'll never forget.
For starters, we ordered the pondicherry bouillabaisse which was a decadent rich soup with generous amounts of shrimp and crab meat. 10/10.
We also got the chilli garlic burrata and green chilli chicken tikka both of which were absolutely amazing. I loved the plating of the burrata dish, such a vision to look at and everything tasted great. The tikka was a tad too spicy for me but my parents loved it a lot. 9/10.
For maincourse we got Bannerjee's Sunday Meal and Rameshwaram Non Veg Pocket Rice. Both the thalis were absolutely delicious especially the mutton dish in the Sunday meal was so succulent, I've never had meat that soft in my life, it was such a delicious dish. The other South Indian thali was equally great and had excellent fried chicken pieces. Again 10/10.
For drinks, we got the lassi, rose milkshake and lemon mint mojito all of which were very tasty and refreshing.
Special thanks to Mr Gurdeep Singh for his great service and attention.
Definitely will recommend to all my friends.
I've been here multiple times before but this time they outdid themselves. Vetri had to deal with our rather complicated order involing different restrictions for everyone. His attention to detail was outstanding and made sure our meal was stress free!

My husband took me here for a Friday Eve and Kuldeep singh who served us made sure we had a perfect date.
The ambience of this place is perfect for a date eve.
Food tasted amazing, we got to try different cuisines, nanari soda and carrot halwa we're best, never miss them. It falls on an expensive side though.

The perfect spot for fusion indian food - Awesome ambience, great food and amazing service. We ordered malabari coin canapes (with mushroom), kheema pav, off the menu fish tikka (which was a little dry) and santrani kheer. Each dish was cooked to perfection. We were served by Kuldeep Singh who ensured we had a good time. Definitely going back again.
A straight fifer just for the Tomato rasa (soup)- the best I’ve ever had. My friends and I reordered to get savour it thoroughly. Offers enough options in vegetarian despite giving prominence to non veg.
New favourite! Beautifully done. From the people behind Savya Rasa, it is to be expected I guess! I was among the ones who really missed Meena Tai's and Batlivala & Khanabhoy. That hole has been somewhat plugged by Bharat Bistro, whose menu combines the cuisines and styles from those two and others, to great effect. It's a fairly eclectic mix, but the dishes somehow tie together (provided you ask for suggestions 🙈).
The Nannari Soda took me back to those I had on trips to Lalgudi as a kid. The Thalassery Chemmeen Biryani was a highlight- so rich yet so balanced at the same time.
The Kosha Mangsho mutton was also superb, and went pretty well with the soft Garlic Naan. The Hibiscus Tea is also recommended, as is the Chowringhee In A Box! Had other dishes as well, but I cannot recollect which ones; we smashed through them without taking any photos!
I cannot wait to go back to Bharat Bistro. Delicious Indian food presented in a chic, modern, fine-dining format. What's not to like?
Tall ceilings and lots of natural light make for a lovely ambience. Their starters were fantastic, particularly the chicken ghee roast canopy.
Extremely good Ambiance and good food. Among the best North Indian restaurants in Chennai. A bit on the pricy side however the food feels worth it. Definite must go, when on Zomato gold.

Amazing place, amazing food. BUT don't order online. Their online prices are INSANE. For example, our favourite dish is the Sultani Dal (smoky, garlicky, spicy goodness). It's 275 at their restaurant if you eat in or get a takeaway, but it's 450 if you order online. Booooo.
First of all I would like to talk about the Ambience.
Ambience - WOWWW - They have a perfect lighting with mild music and awesome interiors. I love it.

Nice restaurant with very chic interiors. The food tastes amazing and presented very well. Their crockery is very different and looks great. However, they have to improve on their service as there were mix ups about the food that was ordered and served and certain dishes were not served despite ordering. The staffs are polite. Priced at par with other places and would say it is worth it for the portion being served.
New place! Loved everything about it. Right from the ambience, the staff, the food, even the sofa fabric! 😊 It's done up so beautifully. The menu card is just lovely to look at. And the food was simply yummy. The portions are good. They are spread across 2 floors - ground and mezzanine. Great location. Do visit!
They have a good collection of regional dishes in India. Dishes are not completely authentic but seems like they cook with the same ingredients and create a modified version of the originals. Though a bit over priced, taste of food is good. Staff were kind and courteous.

Bharat Bistro held a goan food festival between 15th to 30th June and offered special curated menu which included chicken Peri Peri Skewers which was mouth watering. Other than that the restaurant also offers cuisine across India by selecting the best that each place could offer. Definitely worth to visit and enjoy their food.
Excellent service. Bit expensive. But good taste. Appreciate the amicable behaviour of their shop. Prawns and fish is my favourite here.
We went to check out the Bihari food festival going on right now here.. had the non veg thali.. everything on the plate was tasty but a special mention of their Champaran mutton..it was absolutely delicious.. also the litti was good.. dessert was also very good.. the staff was courteous and polite.. also the ambience was beautiful adorned with colourful lamps.. a highly recommended place
Great starters , loved their biryani . They have a separate room for party which can accommodate around 20 ppl for lunch or dinner. Very friendly waitress/waiters . Loved the ambience. They let us decorate the room. Big pro- clean restroom!
If you want to experience the flavours of India/Bharat, this is the place to visit. The food is excellent with the right twist and fusion.

Great food with variety. Went as a group and tried a whole lot of items ranging from dabeli to veg kebab platter and paneer dishes, dal makhani, etc. Nice ambience.
The Watermelon mojito was not great though (wasn't properly squashed, ate it with spoon).
Attended the Rajasthani food festival. Really good food and great service especially Vikas.
The kadi Kachori was especially good. Highly recommended.
Good for dinner but they don't have enough car parking and u have park vehicle opposite to the restaurant side of the road.
The ambience and lighting of this place definitely deserves a thumbs up. The location is also apt for a big place like this. Coming to the food, we ordered achari aam paneer Tikka which was good. There was Indian authenticity with the dressing done in the tricolour of our Flag (good thinking). Main course we ordered Laccha partha and pudina paratha with paneer lababdar. The pudina paratha was not up to the mark as the flavour was only okayish. On the contrary, Laccha paratha and the gravy were really good.
The high point was we ordered all this at 11 PM which was almost their kitchen closing time, but managed to serve us what we asked for :) Brownie points for the service!

A very good experience. The service was excellent and the food was wonderful. Attention has been provided to each and every dish served in the buffet to make it stand out. Even the chocolate ice cream served as the dessert was brilliant and one of the best I have had. Even though a little costly, their impeccable service and tasty food are absolutely worth it. Highly recommend it.
