We ordered idli, Chapati and dosa. Idli was soft, fluffy and hot. It was accompanied with varieties of chutney and sambar . I just couldn’t stop eating it. Chapati was served with veg Kurma and raita bit hard but chewable. Special Dosa with chutney and sambar is really filling. Worth for money .
Ordered dosa, uttapam, sambar vada and idly from here and this is the best sambar, idly chutney j ever had. Never knew the sambar and chutney could taste like this.. very impressive would like to have it again. Only thing is they didn't give spoon for sambar vada and I don't have any utensils here.

Great Ambience for both AC and non AC sitting. They have some of the finest Dosas in the vicinity. Butter Mysore Masala Dosa is a must try. The service is great and food presentation is good too. The prices are great when compared with other established food chains!
Great food . Great ambience. Specially the sambar vada and ghee dosa are really amazing. Some north indian dishes such as pav bhaji are also worth the try. Great place for family dinners!!
The food was extremely tasty. And so was the delivery. But the prices shown over various other apps are surged to a little too high value. Yet it's acceptable as the quality is maintained and so is the quantity ;)
Veg briyani: It had too much of tomatoes in it. I felt like having tomato rice. Taste wise it was good, not that grt.
Gobi 65: Not crispy as it should be. Taste was just ok.
Paneer fried rice: Perfect in taste with good amount of soft paneer.
Price was too low and so the quantity is.. One rice is definitely not enough for even avg eater. They should definitely improve the quantity.
Would be great If we can order via Zomato in this hotel. I always see call button instead of order button.

Tried the humble masala poori after a small hunger while shopping at T nagar. Was skeptical about the taste because we north Indians think south may not be an expert in our specialities. But I was wrong the poori sabzi was way more tastier, and surprisingly healthy. Filter coffee was at throw way price. Coming from delhi the prices are indeed a shock. In Delhi I cannot get 2 spoons if filter coffe at same price. Fresh juices are also great.

Balaji Bhavan located in Guduvanchery just behind the bus stop on the way towards tambaram is a normal veg restaurant that has been in the locality for quite some years...with parking in the service lane...no exclusive parking available..
Ambiance is nothing special...just a normal veg eatery but with good cleaning and maintenance...the servers are quick and prompt...have visited the place 3 time till date and have always found the place filled to 80% of its capacity...and the service was always quick..very less waiting time...food was well served too..
Tried dosas, idlies, pongal and few snacks in the evening time...hot and fresh served well within 5 mins max...the dosas crispy and hot...podi was really good and so was the onion masala..chutney pretty decent too..the sambar was good with a bit sweetness to it..the idlies were soft and fluffy but I found them to be a bit sour...the pongal was decent stuff..
Pricing is nominal and really apt for the food being served..an outlet that can be given a shot in this locality...
The place is known for its roof garden.But the ambience is spoiled because of the over crowd who keeps waiting near your table to occupy your seats next.It gives a bad feel while eating.The foods are quite good and decent pricing.
Oh this one was a life saviour! Was with my boss and vendor, both not from Chennai. And we were starving. 4 pm. Airport road. Hunger. Ordered simple dal fry, roti and kadai veg. Can't express the taste and the richness in flavor. A gr8 meal, even though it was past lunch time!

Another hotel in guduvancherry locality.... won't say best.. but it is better than many other small eat outs... we have ordered veg fried rice , chilly parotta, butter naan , cashew pulao and mega dosa... out of which the chilli parotta was below average... the cashew pulao was out of its range... it was awesome.... if u don't want to opt a very HiFi sophisticated restaurant u can opt this restaurant when u r there in guduvancherry or near by
The taste is good. Service is fast. And most important to note they serve idli dosa even at meal or tiffin time. So if you are not looking for lunch at lunch time this definitely works. The quality, quantity to rate ratio is good. Rava masala isnt that great here. Masala dosa, idli is good.
This s my regular place of visit with my family. There I know everyone. Consistently no other hotel has maintained this standard for these no. Of years. Hats off to them for that. Crowd management s bit lagging. It s the First rooftop restaurant n chrompet which has gained more popularity among our locality. If u are in a position to eat pure veg food,u can blindly go for this.

We did a family party at the party hall here. We received several compliments from our guest regarding taste and quality of the food. They didn’t compromised the food quality and customer service were top notch. I highly recommend this place for the family function party. It was less burden for the host to coordinate the food catering guys and getting all the materials needed instead we used their food service, which was very delicious. We will highly recommend this place compare to any other place in that area.
First of all hats off to staffs working there👏👏. There service was at a different level with zero error on quality.
We were a big crowd with kids and still were able to complete our food in an hour and 15 with good hospitality.
Some of the things you wanna try are, chola puri, Podi dosa, garlic dosa, ghee dosa and lime soda was perfect at the end.
One downside there is no reservation for AC room as the crowd keeps flowing.
Best part is even with the huge crowd and lot of tension the staffs were humble to accept few jokes👍👍.
Us, a family of four ate breakfast here and all of us were satisfied with the restaurant. We each got our ordered dishes quite fast, and the food was of genuinely good quality. Everything was tasty and cooked in a homelike way. A little pricey, but well worth it in our opinion. Service was prompt and friendly, and the ac hall was a very comfortable place to eat. Would visit again!

Balajee Bhavan restaurant is one of the busiest restaurants in Chrompet. This is the first time I am trying, but it was a very good experience overall. We tried poori, set dosa, masala dosa, chapati and coffee. All were good in taste and the quantity was also good. We liked their poori with vadakari combo which gave a superb combination and taste was good. Our least favorite dish which we didn't like is Chapathi, it was so hard and also not good. We were sitting in the roof top area (open terrace - typically telling :) ), it was a wide area without any major set up. We thoroughly enjoyed it, and of course our kids enjoyed that environment. Only one thing I want you to consider is coffee, actually they don't have any set up on the roof top to prepare coffee. So, if you are a coffee lover and prefer to consume something hot, then you need to rethink before you order. Because of the travel time (from ground floor to the top floor), we can get warm coffee only and not the hot coffee. But the coffee was good in taste, aroma - but I prefer to be hot. Parking is a bit challenging during the peak hours, but if you are coming in two wheeler you can manage. Ambience is very good, service can be improved.
As I am travelling to Srirangam taking Guindy route from Chennai, we stopped at this hotel. Located at the brink of Chromepet that leads to Tiruchirappalli highway, parking our car we got into the a/c room. First you will see non a/c rooms, followed by a/c room at the end of the hotel.
Since it was 8am we started with Idly,Vada, dosa,Pongal,coffee and tea. Food is really tasty, especially small onion-drumstick sambhar, pudhina chutney and tomatoe chutney.
The ambience is homely, though it could be maintained in better ways. There is parking facility for both two wheelers and four wheelers. Food is served hot, and service is fast. A good hotel to stopby in Chromepet which is on the main GST Road.

Nandhiniee sweets takeaway counter is present inside this hotel. Banquet hall with 150 people capacity is available here. We celebrated our son's birthday party there. Family room waiting time is token system. Since the food is good we need to wait. Meals are not advisable as they are giving unlimited meals they are using cooking soda in the rice, which causes stomachs . Instead, they can give limited meals without using soda. Need to consider the health of the customers' taste is good but.
Nice & cozy place to have food. The service is good, the staff are polite and professional. Spiced up to the right amount the food is delicious. Attracts the Shopping crowd from the nearby stores and gets bit too crowded during the prime time for lunch & dinner. Obviously when the food is good you are bound to get more customers. I would suggest that you go there a bit early or a bit late to avoid the crowd. Overall one of the best Veg Hotels in the city.

One of my top picks for dining in Chrompet. The restaurant is entirely vegetarian. The food is excellent and of high quality. Portions that are both AC and NON AC. It will be a good spot for vegans, but not for families, as they press us to finish our meals in order to go on to the next slots. On weekends, the wait times were typically longer. When compared to other restaurants, the price is also premium due to the superior quality.
We have ordered Fried rice, Mini sambar idly, onion dosa and Phav bhaji. The hotel is very clean. The food and service was good. But they can improve on the taste and quality of food. Sambar idly was cold when served. The chinese items were costly.

This restaurant is located in a busy area, they should have really thought about the parking facilities for their customers.
