The ambience is a sure shot ten . I enjoyed the rose water cake and the herbal tea . The music added to the whimsical effect . I am definitely coming back for more .

The place is easy to locate. The place is small but cozy. The ambiance is great and the service is good too.
We had ordered Afternoon Tea/High Tea, which came with sandwiches, scones, cakes, and tea. The sandwiches were amazing. The scones were delicious and the tea was refreshing. The cake, though it was a little dry, complimented the meal well.
The entire array of dishes were presented well and it was a treat to the eye. Overall, this cost us around 1050 INR.

Simply amazed by the ambience, gives an amazing feel and good vibes. The tea and cupcakes here are the best. They have a good variety of pastries and sandwiches. The must try here is the English breakfast combo. This place is setup like a real English tea room, right from the furniture to the food displays and the crockery.
They have a wall of roses inside the restaurant which is really catchy and colourful. The place is really calm and peaceful and having tea here is the best thing to do.
They have a few but good option of tea, well brewed and served piping hot. The mini cupcakes along with the fresh flavoured tea made my evening.

It is a small joint with serious food. We tried chicken pie and jacket potato with tuna. Quality and taste are outstanding. We also tried cupcake which was not good as expected.

This is an authentic recipe restaurant. It has not degenerated into a continental food nonsense place with a bunch of indianized recipes, neither this way or that way. I hope they will keep it authentic British.

This place is magical. The pastel colors and the flower decor all around transports you instantly to a fancy tea room.
Coming to the food, I was not a fan of the cupcakes, they felt dry and crumbly, the frosting was nothing special too.
But the scones on the other hand were perfect. The clotted cream and the jam are a must try. So good.

To those cute little cafe lover's this one is must visit. we had a thulasi herbal tea and traditional dinner. The chicken breast was cooked well and the sauce served with the meal went will the dish. This place has a British vibe..such a cute little cafe for a perfect evening snack with ur loved one..

This British themed cafe, is aesthetic and serves good pastries. Though their pastries are limited, it definitely is delicious . Service is good and quick. Their ambience is so good that you never feel to leave the place. It’s mostly empty and is romantic. It’s definitely a must visit place.

It created a nostalgia as soon as we entered the cafe, must say how they have utilized this space for beautifully. It reminded me of western movies in the past, also my primary school days. It also replaced the "chicken sandwich" which I used eat at a cafe (now closed permanently).

The Flower Power Tea Room is one of the best places to visit. It has a great ambience, quiet and comfortable. The tea is great. The deserts are great. May be a bit expensive if going for something simple. But when you look at the place, the money is worth it. The portions they give for the sandwich is quite great. Cakes and cupcakes are very tasty. Its a must visit place at least once in your life. It is a Happy place.

Do not go for the dessert tea or the other bundle. When u pay 350, one scone, two minuscule cup cakes are unacceptable. Add in finger sandwiches and another scone. The tea was a delight..

The one word that comes to my mind is peaced-out. The ambience will make you feel relaxed, the food is comforting, the waiting staff is super friendly and nice and the tea well all you can say is not enough.

I ordered for a English Rose cake cake and a big portion was served. I couldn’t eat all that by myself because it was a bit dry. I have to say, the table wares were absolutely stunning giving a rich look to the place. I guess the rating I gave mostly would go for the ambience. The staffs were attentive and the service was rapid. As I walked around the place, I found so many interesting stuffs in the place especially the collection of cute cutleries that kept on display just near to the entrance.
The price points are bit to the high side but I’d recommend anyway.

A friend recommended this place to me and as usual I was pretty lazy to give ears to it. She gifted me a cake from this shop, khud se to logi nahi, let me give you types. I went mad !!! I ate it at 3 AM due to eat binge as I caught it as the last option in my fridge, I couldn’t control my tongue, and ate it almost half standing near my fridge.
One day jlt apparently I visited this place, and this time I got whatever caught my eyes, ye b dedo vo b dedo sab dedo mere ko lol .. to meine lia 1 marvel cake, 1 smthn coconut strawberry tha, aur kuch cupcakes .. and fir vo marvel chocolate cake I ate every bite with extreme happiness lol .. 1 baar try karo, all have different choices but I think you will also like it like meee ..
They have tea verities also I think along with the sandwiches and all .. I didn’t try all that ! Just the bakery confectionary part !

This place has beautiful interiors, the food items mainly cakes and tea's are reasonably priced and they are beautifully arranged on British-Style cutlery. And brownie points because it's next to the beach. The café is spacious, also, the washroom is super clean. Would definitely recommend everyone to stop by this place👌🏻

Lovely place to be, ambience speaks for it. The place to be to have awesome cakes which reminds you of the fresh baked feeling. A must for its well thought decor. Service can be swift though.
Tried chicken stuffing sandwich grilled. It was a very mildly grilled sandwich; little too bland in taste and had to be supplemented with kitchup to being out the flavour.
The cheddar cheese and Branston pickle sandwich was good as the pickle was adding a tangy flavour to it, in contrast to the cheddar taste.
Victorian sponge cake was killer - strawberry marmalade in between just enhanced the flavours to a different level.
Chocolate cake was decent.
Ordered some hibiscus flavoured tea, wrong choice, didn't like it much.

My sister and I went to the Flower Power Tea Room last week. My first thought was that the place had to be renamed into something more quaint. This was because the interiors were charming. Everything about the place was pretty and charming. The cutlery, the ambience and the food will take you to an Enid Blyton adventure book in no time. We ordered the Assam Masala Chai and Scones. The tea looked too eatery for my taste but was in fact nice. The scones were served with strawberry preserve and homemade clotted cream. For anyone who have read the Harry Potter series or any of the numerous Enid Blyton books, scones would be a dish of interest. They were extremely delicious. The service was excellent too.
All in all a must try place. :)

Beautiful ambience and great food. very vegetarian friendly. lots of options. we ordered the cheddar cheese and branston pickle sandwich and vegetable pie. The sandwich was simple yet tasty. The vegetable pie was hearty and comforting. The gravy could have been better, but that is a minor negative. We finished with raisin scones, a must have for a complete afternoon tea experience. The tea menu itself is the most extensive I have seen. The cutlery, beautiful tea pots and cups add to the experience. All in all will be visiting again for sure. I have never attended a British High Tea but I guess this is the closest you can get to Britain here in Chennai! Absolutely love the ambience and the delicate chinaware they have on offer. A must visit for some fancy tea and delicious scones!
With interiors well decorated the place is just a walk away from the besant nagar beach.Adding a lot of embellishments to the decor ,it is one of the best place to have a English breakfast or chai time with your friends.They have nearly 80 varieties of tea and their strawberry cheese cakes are heavenly.All the dishes are beautifully served in a ceramic plates which adds more luxury feel to the place.
Apart from that there is flowered photo booth which attracts a lot of people to pose picture.
I tasted their Assam tea which was served well and their cucumber mayo sandwich was too good.Also in addition ordered strawberry cheese cake which was their best.

Flower power tea room happened during a fine evening stroll along the Besant Nagar beach !
Having already visited. Tea trails and Lloyd’s tea house , was eager to know what unique flower power had to offer !
Ambience : as the name goes , it’s decorated completely with flowers and floral artefacts! Gives you a sense of having a tea amidst a floral garden!
Food & tea : they have a wide variety of teas varying fro herbal , black , English , iced tea etc
And they a also have a great selection of home baked goodness .. lots of cakes . Scones etc !
We went for the mountain rose tea and the Darjeeling tea ! The uniqueness of flower power tea room shows in their tea pottery! They give their teas in set of china porcelain tea brewing pot and cup ! And they are also adorned with floral designs ! The teas were splendid and the most amazing thing is that each person gets a huge quantity such that one tea is almost more than enough for two people !
Then we tried the classic Victorian sponge cake and I bet that I’ve haven’t had anything as spongy , soft and delicious as it anywhere in Chennai !
And then the raisin scones that come aptly along with home made butter and marmalade! They are just one thing that I would go again for ! The scones with butter and the marmalade just makes the perfect combination!! All to get her , they just elevate your mood , calm your senses ,relaxes you and you end up being refreshed !!

Dropped in for a late evening tea and dessert. The marble cake was really soft with a melts in your mouth quality. The teas were as you'd expect from a tea shop. But the ambience and decor looks right out of a Pinterest board. So charming. Must visit at least once for the ambience!

Wow the moment you enter the restaurant you will find it very cosy and comfortable. The ambiance make you feels so nice with all the beautiful flower decor and the sophisticated tables chairs and crockery. The flower wall and flower ceiling looks very classy with superb cupboard containing vintage tea cups tea pots.
The staff welcomes you with smile and they make you feel good. The food from chocolate cake to Jacket potato and ice tea were too good and delicious.
How can everything be perfect we were served a real bad raisin scones which we have to return back as we found it turned stale and may not be good for the kid....may be bad day for scones

I've Ordered Mint Cooler Iced tea Which flavoured with mint, lemon and lavender, chocolate cake and English Rose cake which flavoured with rosewater and layered up with vanilla cream, raspberry icing, crystallizing petals and it is my favourite among all.. I have two places tied for #1 from my vacation in Chennai. This is one of them! What a beautiful, whimsical, peaceful atmosphere! I loved being in this space! Their tuna sandwich has fresh sweet corn in it. I was amazed by the texture and flavor. I loved it so much that it was the first thing I tried to recreate when I returned home to the states. The desserts looked so good that it was hard to choose. I finally settled on the lemon cake. It was scrumptious!

The pot of tea and food were served in Fine China sets and had different colours.
The music was mellow and nice.

You enter this little quaint space and you immediately want to adopt an english accent! (like my two mad friends did much to the eye rolling of the baffled staff).
The decor is adorable, the pastel colour theme, the flower wall and ceiling, the iconic telephone booth doubling as the washroom door and vintage cupboards holding some gorgeous crockery and display spaces with some great looking cakes and eats. Very classy!

But with a strong herbal flavour) and to eat a Lemon drizzle cake (a little dry, but awesome zesty flavour), Vegetable Pie (brilliant pot pie and with a side of terrific peas and mash) and a bunch of sandwiches (roasted veg, tuna, chicken -avocado) which were all pretty good and filling.
The prices are a wee steep, but I think the quality and attention to detail was clearly evident.
Service was earnest and professional.
I am surely coming back for the high tea, on my next trip.

Food is okay, just enough to compliment your Tea. It is basically a place for Tea Lovers, they have a large variety of Tea to sip and the Quantity of Tea in Pot is enough for 3 persons. I would rate it 4 on Tea/Food, 4 on Ambience, 3.5 on Service.
Went here last week.... Awesome place, coszy, bright and colourful.... Nice place to hang out with friends.... Since I am a tea lover I wanted to go to this place.... Ordered assam and darjeeling teas, sandwiches and a cake..... Price worthy food and staff were good too.....
Loved the decor ! We ordered roasted veg sandwich and cardamom chai along with chocolate cake... Everything was delicious. Nice place for a sweet date ... Their tea set collection is pretty awesome and the whole setup as the description mentions is quintessential English.
If I had to pick a cafe for it's most beautiful ambience I would pick this one!

I've been here 4 times, this review is a summary of all experiences.
One thing common in all my visits is victoria sponge cake. It's slightly dry with a cream & jam filling, that blends together so well! If you're here, it's a must try!
Their cheesecakes are delicious, especially the strawberry one.
I wasn't much impressed with the jacket potato. Felt it was too bland for my liking.
Food is priced on the higher end, since it's more of a 'feel good' place, I think it's justified.
Interior was good ! But the sorbet iced tea was okay :(

I love this place for its ambience and the tea. They have an amazing range of pastries and sandwiches. The wall covered with flowers is their signature. The place is eye popping and unique its own way. Best for any evening after a stroll across the beach and finish the day with tea and pastries here.
A lovely place with a Victorian ambience. Best place in Chennai for proper English food. Served on cute floral tableware with the requisite number of cutlery. All that's missing is a butler! Well worth a visit. But they cannot accommodate large groups and the food preparation takes time but they will warn you in advance. Visit only at leisure.
A cosy little high-tea place to get an evening snack. If you like pies, sandwiches and cakes, then you are sure to love this place. They do not have a separate place for vehicle parking, so you might have to park your vehicles along the beach road. The items are a little pricey, but definitely worth their cost. A wall of flowers right by the entrance is their main attraction, and makes for great pictures.
Very beautiful and fancy, still you will feel Happy even after eating the overpriced food. Ambience is very very nice. You won't find much ppl there. Lots of options for tea. Must try full English breakfast.
We went to this place in search of desserts while we were in Besant Nagar. It came as a sweet surprise, since the decor is beautiful. You feel like you have stepped inside a small shop in London. The look and feel of the place is amazing, fills you with a lot of positive energy. The owner has paid attention to detail to things as minor as tissue paper *amazing*
We ordered slices of Victorian Sponge Cake and Lemon Drizzle Cake. Both were really delicious.
We ordered the oolong tea - peach passion tea. One order serves two cups. We were a little disappointed by the train since we couldn't catch the peach flavor and it tasted like a subtler version of Green tea. I am willing to taste other types of tea as well and hoping to have a better experience.

This adorable little place is a must visit when you're in Chennai! An English Tea room that will remind you of Enid Blyton stories. Good food, great ambience!
Great ambience, with a London atmosphere. Must go if you are a tea lover . The desserts are worth a try,although the service was not that good. also we had to wait almost an hour for the food .
Amazing Ambience.. I loved the tuna mayo sandwich..it's must try..they have few in menu but must say the best..I enjoyed eating every bite ..then had an apple pie which was good, it had a mix of flavour..and a cup cake which was really sweet.. finally ended with a cup of hibiscus Lush tea really good..
Overall, a good experience..the minute you enter am sure you would wish to start clicking pictures coz of a wonderful decor that they have .. Its classy English style 😉
I was in Chennai as a tourist. I dropped into this place right next to the beach along with a Tamilian friend. She n I were taken aback by the decor. We loved their cutlery. I loved their tea menu. They have a vast tea menu. Their teas are really good. Their serve ware is extremely extraordinary. I think they must have imported everything. I really feel like going back when ever I think of chennai. It’s a place u visit n u wana visit again and again. We didn’t order much to eat but I’m sure other things on menu would be tasty. Hmmm
All time favourite tea room. Colors, flowers and good tea. Nice service. Must try teas. Yumilicious scones. Can improve the choice of music. Great spot for photographers. Every picture will tell a story. Amazing time spent.
