Away from the maddening crowd, tucked away in a corner but still in the heart of the city, Swiss Hutte is an absolute delight. Its not so hard to fall in love with the place as it makes you feel right at home.
As you enter the place you are welcomed by a magnificent setting, a delightful marriage of antique cut stones and the luxuries of modernity (Hats off to the owner for this).
I've been a regular here for a while now but this particular visit was more than special as I was allowed to bring my furry little companion along (Oh yes, the ever so kind owner now welcomes all your furry companions on a Sunday). The friendly staff were also kind enough to set aside a water bowl for him and offered biscuits and food.
The food here has never disappointed me and I only wish I had room for all three courses. All the produce used is fresh and the dishes have the warmth of home-made food. The chef/owner takes great care in selecting the best quality ingredients. I absolutely recommend their beef steak and some fresh orange juice.
On the whole, this is a wonderful place to get cozy with a book or have a nice quiet meal with someone.
Great swiss home ambience. Carefully Selected Menu. The taste is mouthwatering. Planning to go there again soon. The Bearer and owner are very friendly. Overall a feel god place, so the prices which are a bit expensive didnt pinch much.
Love the ambience..food was good..organe juice was absolutly fresh..ty guys.the food is over priced..
You don't come here to fill your stomach, it's soul filling cafe with tales from its chef/owner Joey about the beautifully done place. Must visit :)
Shhhh. Keep it a secret, love the dessert menu! Nom nom! The interiors at Swiss Hutte is a lovely mix of old school, classic and contemporary! It's always a fabulous experience dining here! Love from Ireland! #GoodCraic #ChennaiRestaurants #CafeExperience #Dining #Joe's #TheBest

This place will always be on my mind, whenever I feel to go out to eat. What an amazing setup, simply stunning. It personally made me feel that I am sitting inside a cafe in a European country. The ambience is just lit. The place is surrounded by greenary and is so calm and peaceful.
The place to sit and relax have tea and some of the best steaks. This place is such a lovely option to hang out with friends or a date with our loved ones. I am definitely looking forward to make my visits again here.
Such a calm place to visit with your loved ones and family. The ambience was so live and we wish we could have visited the place during the day time to admire it’s subtle beauty.
We had pasta, veg brushetta , double burger and french chocolate cake as desert. The food was good matching the subtlety of the place. Their service made justice to the place. Wish to visit there often..
A well-hidden, beautiful place right next to Apollo, Wallace garden. We stumbled into this place by chance and we're so glad we did. The exposed brick work, the splash of color on the pillars and the artfully done interiors are worth going to the place.
We ordered the grilled prawns with salad and garlic toast along with lemon iced tea. The taste was good but wasn't worth the cost.

This place was in my wishlist for a long time ever since I saw the interior decors online and finally made it and was totally worth it❤
I was awe struck with the ambiance. It was so cozy and throwing vintage cottage vibes with beautiful lawns.
Unfortunately we went there after our lunch, so tried out their desserts menu.
We had,
•Tiramisu - Just the way I like it♥️ Less coffee More sweet! I can have it all day.. Please do try it,if you're not a sucker for the regular sour taste tiramisus.
•Hot fudgey brownie - Was toooo good!
•Caramel custard - They call it homestyle and it made justice to the word. Rich and Amazing!
I hope to visit this place for a full course meal sometime and would highly recommend this place if you're in Chennai!
A beef, bacon and fried egg burger along with French fries and a mixed salad!! If you love meat and especially steaks , Swiss hutte is your place! The burger was JUICY and cheesy. The bacon and beef was well cooked. The presentation was spectacular.
We ordered the buffalo chicken wings with barbecue sauce which was a bit dry, it wasn’t as saucy as I expected it to be and there wasn’t enough spice.
We also ordered the Thai red curry with jasmine rice which had an aromatic and light flavour which was nice.
Swiss Hutte is one of the many culinary wonders in Chennai that I want to keep going back to.
My favorite dish on their menu is Pork shoulder with mashed potatoes. Amongst other dishes, Pork Vindaloo with rice is also a family favorite.
The ambience is perfect for a date or a large gathering with family or friends over great food. The interiors suit my taste perfectly and not to mention, they have a beautiful outdoor seating space available.
Well cooked meat, perfectly seasoned curries and a peaceful & elegant ambience is what Swiss Hutte offers. Well, I am absolutely ready to accept the offer again and again😉
This is one gem of a place steeped in stories and history. Joe is a warm host and his place is a lovely for a nice evening meal. Tried the jalapeño poppers, steak and grilled chicken. The mushroom sauce on the steak being the highlight. Finished off with the dessert of the day which was a warm flourless vegan chocolate cake with ice cream.
Amazing ambience. Best place for love mates and greenery lovers. A cool place in between a hazzle locality. Food was special and unique in its vareity and desserts were great
I'm in complete aweee☺️☺️.
Had gone to this place a few days back as it was in my bookmark, ever since I read a review of this place in the hindu.
I have recommended this place to at least 10 of my colleagues. Im so glad that I found this place for the following reasons.
1. The place - ambiance, environment, calmness, serinity... All was at its peak. If you have ever dremt of having a peaceful meal in a beautiful place, I bet there is no place better than this.
2. Food. It's THE FOOD, that connects one with a restaurant, I completely loved their food's quality and taste. It was a bliss. The dessert was literally heavenly.
3. Cost. Obviously, this place is not going to be the cheapest one, but it's not one of those, which will eat your wallet. The items are moderately priced.
Overall... If you even decide not to try this place, it's the biggest mistake. Go there right away.
The place is opposite to the Apollo hospital Greams road Amin entrance. The gate next to the shop name is the entrance and don’t worry about parking. They have good parking space and it’s quite safe. The place looks really good. The food is also good. We had fish and chips, sandwich and hazelnut latte. I loved their latte. The staff are friendly. It’s a pretty decent place for a date 😁
It's an amazing place with swiss ambience, kickass food and quick service. We ordered only Goan Vindaloo Pork and apple pie since we came after a brunch visit from Amethyst Cafe. Both had exquisite taste and I guess its the only place in Chennai with such authenticity. A must visit.
The service here is absolutely great . It's a lovely place. And the food is delicious. They host everyone with so much love and affection. It's was a really nice experience ❤
Really great service and brilliant atmosphere/decor. Definitely worth a try if you are looking for authentic European food. The sausages and steak are also fab!
First of all, I have never seen a place like this in Chennai. The ambience is kind of a Switzerlandish winter cottage with a big lawn outside and a camp fire setup. It is situated next to Apollo hospital and you don't have to worry about the parking cause there is a huge parking space inside it. Food is a top notch too. What can I say, you just have to experience it. This should be on top of your bookmark list.
This place actually gives you a village feels. It's so green and peaceful. And we mostly ordered veg. Had paneer steak and it was the best. So soft and crunchy. We ordered mushroom omlet, and it was so soft and cheesy. Pasta was as usual great. The pain plus about this place is the ambience. We ordered lemon ice tea as beverage and it was really great.
Ambience: 5/5.
Food : 4/5.
Great food. Amazing ambience.
Pork ribs are so succulent. Madras Captain curry (I’m not sure I got the name right 😅) was so familiar and yummy 🥰
Home food at an amazing space 💯
When expectation and reality are the same that's where you will enjoy the most. Swiss hutte is one such place which great food and services. The shrimps are perfect and dessert are delicious. The ambience makes the whole place a sense of homely feeling. The food are Continental style. Worth visiting.
Been here with friends more than a year back. Such a cosy little place ! Reminded me of those little countryside eateries. Anyway, ordered the shrimp pasta, ratatouille, beef rice and pork rice. Lovely! Even got complementary mango ice cream from the management !
This place is bang opposite main Apollo but it feels like it's tucked in the middle of a forest. Lol. Headed for dinner last night and the whole look and feel of the place felt very English and a lot like a few cases in kodai ! They menu include a lot of stuff. We quickly ordered a cream of chicken soup that was heavenly. We had the Thai style chicken, Peri Peri prawns was delicious. They praws was so tender and well made that we ordered a butter garlic prawn too. For the mains we had a pink sauce pasta was very good. We has a Kung Pao chicken stir fry that wasnt to my liking and the noodles with black bean sauce was good too.
My favourite place in Chennai for food hangouts. The pork dishes they serve are delicious. Swiss hutte also serve very good beef burgers and cold pressed farm fresh fruit juices. The ambience is fabulous and the surroundings gives us a hoemly feel. The owner of the place and the staffs are very friendly.
If you ever feel like getting some fresh view with hot food and cosy seats then Swiss hut is the right place for you!
The jalapeno nuggets are a must try!
I’m planning to visit this place , I want to know wether you add bacon in beef burger or not .cos I don’t eat bacons?? And also I want to know if the meat available is halal or not ? I need confirmation
Amazing experience.. food and ambience.. hope they are allowed to serve alcohol in the near future.. then.. it would be a complete fine dining experience.
Totally in love with this place. So I'm give my ratings off in the beginning and then explain y'all in detail.

What is so striking about this place?
Ambience:
An ambience so serene and calm, that you can never find in Chennai, atleast not within the city limits, Swiss Hutte was a surprise. The entrance is too small that you would almost miss it. It is located right opposite to the Apollo Hospitals on Greams Road. The indoor seating is pretty much like a cozy house that you can find in the country side in UK. Lovely couches. Almost a great place, if you would want to meet someone and have a good talk. The outdoors are beautiful. Spacious and filled with trees and plant, this is amazing for pictures. So I'd recommend you visit during the day. Oh and they have a book shelf.
Food:
I would say, they have a good menu. If you like eating Pork, then you would be the happier person here. Tried out the Veg Bruschetta (5/5) - Probably the best I've had. The bread was great and the topping was also perfect. Fish Fingers with Cocktail Dip (5/5) - My my! If you are a fan of fish fingers, you would definitely frequent here. It was crispy, fresh, succulent, cooked to perfection and the dip was the bomb! Grill Seafood platter (3.5/5) - Loved the prawns served in this. It was seasoned beautifully, the fish was good and the calamari rings were good as well. Prawn Piri Piri with mixed salad (4/5) - It was a perfect salad with 4 jumbo prawns. If you hate greens, forget it. French Chocolate Cake (5/5) - Instant love. Baked to perfection and couldn't have been better.
Herbed rice - 3/5 (Not a fan :()
Grape juice - 4/5
Swiss Hutte- A cute Lil vintage place that's a delight to look at 😍 This place runs like an actual American diner and the people who run this place are so friendly that you can often see them chit chatting away with their customers when they're having their lunch or dinner.
Coming to the food we had
tofu steak which was awesome 🤩,
Calamari fritters with a dip that was equally awesome 🤩,
Mac and cheese with bacon - twas good and the quantity was on the higher side,
Orange juice - There are so many things that could go wrong in a fresh fruit juice but no they had it all right😍,
Ginger lemon soda - It was too good and helped to wash down the greasiness of the food😍😍.
Didn't get a chance to try out the desserts over there but will definitely go back again to try them😝😝😝
The ambience and food were good. It was exotic but limited portion sizes and quite a bit costly. Otherwise a place to go to enjoy your food at all times. It was quite difficult to locate the place on the map and hence took lot of time to reach. People were friendly and experience was good.
I guess this is the most underrated restaurant in Chennai.
WATCH OUT FOR THE BEVERAGE REVIEW AT THE END. ❤️
We went in there for a Sunday lunch. Finding the parking was a bit difficult. Eventually we found it. Oh man. What a beautiful place.. omg. Greenery all round and so much calmness.
Entering into the restaurant we are greeted by a beautiful setting which looks old school yet modern ambience. It is so comforting and homely you will never want to leave the place.
First we ordered the THAI FRIED SHRIMP (Rs.300 approx). We got 5 jumbo prawns, it tasted so good and juicy. We ended up wanting more.
Next came in the BEEF STEAK (Rs.500 approx.) We wanted it medium rare. It was a bit overcooked but tasted fine. The mushroom sauce complimented it just fine.
Next was the ENGLISH ROAST CHICKEN (Rs.300 approx.) Chicken was succulent and juicy. Good quantity was offered. We got almost half of a chicken.
Then came the MAC N CHEESE with roasted chicken (Rs. 300 approx.) Omg.. it was so tasty and yummy. We craved for more. One of the best Mac n cheese ever ❤️
Generally beverages don't get my place in reviews but omg this place serves simple yet so damn tasty drinks. The ORANGE JUICE, GINGER LEMON (twice), BLACK COFFEE AND CAPPUCCINO. Everything tasted so damn awesome. They always suggest you what you order and you know what they won't disappoint ❤️
Awesome customer service, very friendly staff and great food. What else do you need? Will I go once again? HELL yeah ❤️ Please do visit them 🔥
Overall : 4.5/5
A quaint old hut located right in the heart of the city but tucked away in lush greens which just transcend you to a different world - true to its name - this place really feels very very cosy and comfortable.
The food was also a very nice mix of Italian and continental cuisine and we liked everything we ordered ! I would say go for the jalapeño nuggets and the Oreo crepe for dessert !
A cozy place, perfect for a calm and comfortable meal! Lovely ambiance, polite staff.
And yes, of course, Amazing food!
Will definitely visit again!
According to me, Swiss Hutte is one of the best continental cuisine restaurant in chennai . The ambience here is very attractive. This restaurant is located in the interiors of Thousand Lights so it's quite difficult to locate this place, but once u reach here u will definitely fall in love with this restaurant. Now to specify about the cons of this restaurant there is no lighting near the parking area and also I found this place quite expensive.
The food here is tooooo delicious except for the chicken lasagna.
Now with the must tries of this restaurant, you've gotta try the Cream of chicken soup and also the pesto pasta.
For the people who are going here with Zomato Gold, this restaurant charges 10% as service charge for their zomato gold users.
Also the staff here has a very good knowledge about all the dishes.
Overall I had a good experience.
Really Loved the ambience!! When you go there , you should remember that a minimum of 300 per person is the cover. Had the Chicken Lasagna and i loved it , the cafe was empty was we were the only people there !
Absolutely loved the vibes of this place. The location shows some incorrect coordinates so it gets tidy to find this place, but once you reach here, you reach whole different level of ecstasy! Visit this place in the eve to enjoy the greenery and lone time when there are very less people .
One of the best restaurants in the city in terms of ambience! Yes, let's only talk about it's ambience first! Definitely a great spot to go to on a romantic dinner or date. This place doesn't seem to be crowded even on Sundays and I believe so because of it's location as it's situated quite in the interiors of Greams lane right opposite to Appollo Sindhoori hospital extending itself with it's warm, healthy green foliage🌳🌴
Food that I tried:
Jalapeno Nuggets with Cocktail Dip Veg - 3.5/5
Crispy Calamari alla romana - 4/5
Swiss Hutte Beef Burger - 3.5/5
Ratatouille Hot pot Veg - 2/5
Best time to visit : anytime between 12 noon to 9pm
It's a Must-Visit kind of place if not for food at least for its Ambience💙
Very calm and sophisticated place in the heart of the city. Service is amazing. Food is blissful with one of the best beef burgers in Chennai.
The place is very cute. The food is average. I had the roasted chicken. The roasted chicken thigh came with a side of mashed potatoes, some vegetables and a red wine sauce. It was slight cold and looked like it was kept out for sometime before t was served. The sauce was just okay. It didn’t taste as good as it sounded when I ordered it.
This place is located in a very posh area and it has a very exotic vibe to it. The hospitality as per Chennai standards was beyond amazing. The ambience was pretty chill too.
We went here for lunch and had:
Jalapeno Nuggets: They were good and the dip was so nice. I mean, jalapeno and cheese could never go wrong. Right?
Piri piri Chicken: It wasn't the conventional Chinese styled fried spicy chicken,it had a very Continental vibe to it. It was really light too and didn't feel unhealthy as such.
Chicken lasagna: Again,it was different not just packed in a rectangular bowl. It wasn't sticky like usual lasagnas. Added extra oregano and chilly flakes for more taste though.
Lemon ice tea: Try this out for sure! It was very refreshing.
Went for dinner with my wife.Somehow we were visiting this lovely diner after a long time. Was happy and surprised to find same excellent quality of food and ambience and service.Owner Mr Joel is always around enquiring, suggesting but not imposing.Grilled pork shoulder was very nice.also Jaffna chicken curry.Chocolate cake waa nice and baked yogurt with honey and nuts excellent. Will definitely visit soon.
Parking is always a problem as this place is located just opposite the main Apollo Hospital. Call up the resturant and they will guide you to their property behind the resturant for parking.
It was a hot and humid day when my friend and I decided to pay a visit to the Swiss Hutte. Located opposite to the Apollo hospital on the Greames lane, the restaurant isn't hard to locate. Parking is a breeze here; you could park an entire pantheon of war chariots and still find free space.
The restaurant is run by glorious people. We were invited to occupy a comfy lounge. The ambiance was soothing to the eyes and the heart. The tables were evenly spaced out providing a sense of privacy. Bookshelves, a gramaphone and contemporary curtains and a whole lot of tasteful choices adorn the entire floor.
Starting off with a cool grape juice to quench our thirst, the perfect flavor hit our senses right away. Crunching our way through nuggets, we made ourselves comfortable as we struggled to pick our choices off the sumptuous menu. When it arrived, the spaghetti pasta with white sauce easily turned out to be the most fabulous pasta I've ever gorged in my life. As forks fought through the saucy spaghetti, the panneer steak arrived atop a glorious looking gravy and french fries. An entire block of panneer with titillating gravy was gobbled up by us leaving us wishing that we had a larger appetite. Ah, we had no idea what was to follow.
While we mused over the dessert option, the owners offered help. They suggested we try the Mango tart. Filled with the glory of Alphonse mangoes and topped with slices of Banganapalli, every bite teased the taste buds tantalizingly before sliding down our esophagus. It was a glorious end to the meal.
The place, the people and the food are as perfect as they can be. It is going to be my go-to spot for at least the foreseeable future. Friends, food and a calm environment definitely lift my spirits up.
Thank you Swiss Hutte.
Swiss Hutte, it’s in one of the interior locations and hence much people can’t come across this place. But once they find out, they are really really gonna have an amazing time enjoying the ambience and the vibe this place gives. I can say this place just gave me the chill vibes. It has a vintage , classic ambience which is very rare to find. If someone’s planning for a visit, they have to fix up such a time where they can spend time when the sun is up and when the sun is down. 4:30 PM seems fine.
The cost of food is reasonable. I ordered aloo tikki with chutney, fish n chips and baked mac n cheese.
Aloo tikki was so nice and it had a good flavour and it was served with some cut veggies on top and with mint chutney. That was my favourite
Mac n cheese’ was very very cheesy. People who love cheese will enjoy this.
Fish n chips, i am a very big fan of this in genral, but i wasn’t satisfied much with this but it was pretty decent.
But on the whole, it’s a really good place to relax yourself with some good food.
This is such a quaint little place (hidden treasure)opposite bustling Apollo hospital on greams road. Tried the beef tenderloin and caesers salad. Loved both. They customised the dish according to my dietary restrictions which is why I love this place. Finished the meal with serra dura with mango( a must try if you visit) and warm Apple.pie and ice cream. Both the desserts are to die for coz they aren't very sweet. If you want to have great food in a wonderful and peaceful ambience then this is the place to be.
There is nothing bad about this place. The ambiance is so Damn good and the place even located at a busy spot right next to a hospital when we go in there is just peace. It's like an escape to heaven. The people over there are just lovely. We went on a special occasion. It was my buddy's birthday and they gave both of us a surprise but making a chocolate fudge cake by themselves. People are so friendly and you need not go and order you can just ask them and they'll suggest you and it will just be wow. Food is also so great and I just couldn't find any fault about this place. Each and everyone should must visit this place. Cause this is like a one time ticket if you lose the opportunity it won't come back. Thanks Swiss Hutte for making this day fantastic.
Best place for a peaceful time with friends and family. The hospitality was super awesome by the owner (Joe) and the ambience was impressive, neat and mind-blowing. Don’t miss on the Beef steak - It was one of the the best Steaks i’ve had in a very ling time. The mash-potato was convincing but the steak won my heart. The mushroom sauce was to the point. Best place for a meat eater! Loved it... 5/5. VFM! Yummy to the tummy 😍
FYI - Call them before u get there and they’ll help you find a parking space.
The place is just the getaway you need from the city hustle and bustle. The manager of the place was so friendly and polite! He recommended us the food which was just yum. One was Tenderloin Beef Steak which was well done and just absolutely lipsmacking. Then we had Pork Ribs which was just as good but personally I liked the Steak better. And we were given Baked Yoghurt with dates and honey as dessert which was delicious and you would love it if you are a yoghurt lover. The rates are bit on the expensive side but still worth it. Would definitely recommend the place :).
Went on a Sunday but came back a little disappointed. Restaurants spend so much money on their interiors but fail to spend time designing their menu. The paneer steak, onion rings and cheese sticks were below average and oily. Pasta was just average. The Mi goreng which was supposed to be Indonesian was something that you would get at any street food corner but would taste better. Quite disappointing .
The upside is that the service was prompt and good and the interiors are well done.
One of the best continental restaurants I have visited in Chennai. The food is simply amazing, especially their pork delicacies. Their spare ribs is a must try. I strongly recommend this place for its amazing staff, ambience and finger licking good food 🙂🙂
Starting with the ambience !! That's some serious dealings ♥
They have tried to bring out the cheatue experience !
Then the service ! The manager there he's the best thing you'll get there ! Don't get the menus , just ask him to suggest and what ever he brings, that's the best !
Finally the food , it's fresh , well plated , well cooked and delicious and the price is reasonable
A place you wanna go on a routine !
Loved everything about the place. The manager was so friendly. He helped us select the dishes and they were exquisite! We ordered chicken wings in BBQ sauce as starter. The wings were soft and juicy and coated with the perfectly made BBQ sauce. We ordered the chicken pasta in pink sauce, which the manager explained was a combination of the red and white sauce. It was excellent! The manager suggested we try out the grilled mahi mahi fish. It turned out to be heavenly! Pieces of grilled fish which were soft and tasty, accompanied by a tangy sauce and mashed potatoes was the perfect end to a lovely day at the beach. We were so full we couldn't have any of their desserts. The bill came at 1330 bucks. Ambience is soft and the restaurant is spacious! Highly recommended. ❤
Swiss Hutte, Nungambakam is heaven in Chennai. The perfect getaway spot from the noise and hasty city life. Easy to locate as it is right opposite to Apollo hospitals, Gream's road. The path leading to the car parking was serene❤. Evening would be the perfect time to visit this place. Right once you enter the place, you can feel a stark contrast in the atmosphere, from the busy city life , you'd suddenly land into some dreamland😂. The interiors is beautiful. Perfect lighting and has a got an antique feel to it. For a second we felt as though we were in some cafe in Britain😉. Coming to the food, we ordered
1. Crispy chicken in Thai sauce
2. Peri peri prawn
3. White pasta
4. English Chicken Roast
5. Brownie
The crispy chicken had a light sweet taste to it which I liked. I found it to be slightly oily. Otherwise this dish was perfect. I wanted to try chicken wings here but it got over 😑. Peri Peri prawn was good although it was a bit bland. Couldn't get the flavours of peri peri sauce. The quantity was good though with 6-7 pieces of big prawns served. White pasta was okayish. The sauce had dried up and felt a bit heavy. The chicken roast was perfect ❤. Crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked inside, the sauce served with it and the French fries was the perfect combination ❤. For dessert we ordered brownie with ice cream which was good. They had a seperate menu for pork and beef which must be their signature I guess. I couldn't try it though as I don't eat pork or beef.
Overall, this place is a must try! A perfect place to visit with your loved one. Kind of costly but worth it for the ambience and the food here! The person who served was amazing. Extremely friendly and took good care of us till the end. Great experience in this place indeed ❤
The best place for a the best ambience, nice food and homely service.
We had the prawn peri peri, pork ribs, grilled fish and chicken strogonoff.
All the dishes were well made using fresh herds.
A simple, quiet hideout with a great ambience in one of the city’s busiest streets. So much that it makes you wonder if you’re still in Chennai. The food is decent though the menu is limited.
Great food, beautiful ambiance and very relaxed atmosphere makes it a must visit place. Can't believe such huge property rite next to appollo hospitals existed with a quite atmosphere. Definitely going to be a regular here.
Why Swiss Hutte : Tucked into a beautiful garden in a small hidden place in the city, Swiss Hutte gives a cozy feeling when you enter.
Food Served : We ordered Caramel Custard and Buffalo Chicken wings. The Caramel Custard was over the roof and melted in our mouths. The Buffalo chicken wings were okay.
Service : The man who was in the place was very sweet and took care of us. We had a very warm welcome and a few suggestions from him as well. The 4 star rating definitely talks about the service, the ambience and the Custard.
Of all the restaurants, I’ve visited in Chennai, I must say that I’ve had the best tasting food here. I’d already eaten before coming or else I’m pretty sure I’d have sampled most of the dishes they offered. Lincoln, our host was very charming. He did insist on us trying out his recommendations and I don’t regret it for a minute. Each dish was prepared in less than ten minutes, was perfectly proportioned and scrumptious to a fault. The best part of their dishes though is their sauces. Their sauces complement their salad, pasta or whatever they cook and have the most balanced flavors. I wish I’d clicked a few pictures but the food was too good to resist digging into.
I was in Chennai for treatment purpose at Apollo for 6 days, and so far this restaurant was the best for me... Good ambience, good food, good service, good location for apollo comers and clean... I will definitely recommend it for others...
One thing just i want to add is - this restaurant has visibility problem from outside...
The place is beautiful with small lights, one good place to go to on a romantic date or even for a simple birthday celebration. (I had gone there for my birthday).
The best dish I feel is the calamari, I really enjoyed it, it was cooked to perfection.
This place has been on my mind forever now and I finally managed to grab some dinner on a Tuesday night. I think the best thing about Swiss Hutte is the way its been done. Amidst the hustle and bustle of greams road, this restaurant is blissfully tucked into a corner with lots of lush greenery and comfort ambiance to make you want to visit. The food is pretty great - we tried the veggie burger and the stroganoff with mushrooms and herb rice. Would definitely visit again, particularly to try their deserts (being so highly appreciated by friends and those who frequent here!).
Beautiful ambience . Reminded me of south Goa 😊. Service was great too. Food was appetising. A must visit place. We had a great time here 😊

This is such oasis of peace and calm one does not expect to find at the heart of the bustling city. Especially not near the craziness of Apollo Hospital at Greams Road. The place is a renovated British era bungalow, so open and full of sunlight. Quirky yet classy interiors, lovey views and friendly staff are a huge advantage. They have a interesting albeit small menu with very limited vegetarian options. The pricing is a tad bit on the higher side. Do visit for some peace and lovely conversation space.
We had a Christmas dinner with stuffed Turkey and hot brownie fudge here. The ambience was good, Continental style food served which was okay. The portion size was not great for the price. There's a room for improvement in the service. Situated just opposite Appollo Hospital, Greams Road, Chennai
Hidden treasure within the city, truly amazing in all aspects, a must visit, watermelon mixed with orange juice is really nice, the burger, prawns and calamari ending with a nice caramel custard is what I tried last time I visited with my friends, the owner Joe is a very nice and very passionate about food with amazing stories to share, the place is very cozy and overall an amazing experience
A very beautiful place. I was surprised to find a cafe like this bang in the middle of the city. The food was great. I really loved the bruschetta and the saw dust pudding (it was not on the menu). The pasta was not my favourite.
Overall a good place to hangout with your friends and family. The ambience is very intimate and earthy. And as we explored the surroundings of the cafe we found a small pond, a guava tree and some mango trees. A very picturesque location.
Also i wish the host had been a little more friendly.
A delightful and quaint cafe with an equally elegant setting, soothing music and a thoughtful menu with inclusive dining options for vegetarians! Was a good break for me when I was at Apollo Greams for a couple of days attending to my family.
To enjoy your evening with your loved ones, this place is a great recommendation. Their ambiance is simply exotic, very warm and romantic. Talking about their food quality, especially the steaks are a must try. The place is really beautiful with an amazing service.
7th Anniversary ❤️❤️ such a lovely day to spend in a Swiss Hutte serene atmosphere.. Today was my fantastic day and memorable one. Had a lovely time spending few hours especially for photo shoot. Only I felt courtyard s not as before .. not properly maintained besides felt happy although. We have ordered crispy calamari, finger fish with cocktail dip and Thai red curry with yellow rice .. really sumptuous n stupendous taste .. especially Thai red curry with yellow rice combination s marvellous .. it's a must go place to try a multi cuisine items for a mouth watering feel. I always recommend this place ..
Cons: cost is over priced and quantity is less besides u would compromise in taste .
Celebrated my birthday here. This place is very easy to locate as it's situated right opposite to Apollo hospital. The ambience was very beautiful, pleasant atmosphere, great backyard and very cozy and warm place. Food, yes starters were really good and deserts too. The main course lacks in satisfying your hunger. However, the staff was really sweet and very chilled out people. First we were just like why is this place situated right opposite to a hospital. Then we saw few patients coming just to chill over there so that again adds on to the reasons why you should visit this place.
But again, just like any other cafe, this cafe also charged us for cutting a cake. So just stand on the road and cut it. 🤷
The restaurant emphasised on our feeling.
It felt as if I had entered a classic European world with the music of the Generation - Y times.
The food was good as were the drinks. The place just makes you crave for a cocktail but unfortunately they don’t serve alcohol.
While your food is cooking, you can go out for a stroll in the huge backyard which would definitely make you ask its existence in the middle of a city!
It makes a perfect evening and it’s a zomato gold partner!
Swiss hutte has really got a nice greeny environment just like the rest in the mid of forest. The food was really nice and has a very good drooling taste. And it is located adjacent to Apollo creme road hospital. The has a ample space for car parking

This place is situated right opposite to the Apollo Main hospital Chennai . The ambience was very beautiful, pleasant atmosphere. The restaurant's hut type architecture is very attractive. Parking is slightly challenging in this area.
Coming to the Food, yes starters were really good and deserts too. The burger was very good! The patty was crispy and the fries very thin. The dessert was a mouthful of sweetness with crunchy Oreos on top. Steaks & Pizzas are Special here.
Food quality is excellent, Slightly Expensive.
When I arrived front of the gate, I was not expect this place but, when I went to inside the restaurant interior was antique gorgeous. Also, thier staff was so kind! So we order three kind of steak pork, beef and fish taste delicious. I can recommend this place and I will try all available manu here. Additionally I can recommend "ginger soda"
One of the best restaurant joint in Chennai. Place is located just opp. to the Apollo Hospital Greames Road. It has some awesome ambience with huge parking space and they serve great food. The staffs are courteous and the service is quick too. Best part of the place is, it is built like a hut with good lighting and cozy seats.
Great choice of food. Can get Indian, continental, Asian food like Malaysian, Cambodian food. Lot of veg and non veg choices too. The staff bring variety of foods directly to the table which we can taste directly. Buffet spread is nice and spoilt for choice. Service us very good with proper orders and taken and delivered to the right tables. Ambience is great too.
Food was really good! We had Peri Peri mushrooms, chicken picatta and chow mein. And for dessert baked yogurt was yum. The ambience was lovely.. would definitely recommend going there. Budget friendly as well :)
Can’t believe I haven’t already shared the awesomeness of this little very non-hut nestled bang in front of Apollo Hospitals!
Run by the inimitable Joe Lobo, Swiss Hutte is a fantastic restaurant if u wanna get away from the madness. The staff are well informed on the menu which in itself is a reason to go there. Beware though, time actually does slow down at the Swiss Hutte!
Food-wise, the menu is really wide without being expansive and you can always try something new till you find your true love.
I know I’m gushing but I’m not ashamed to be a fan!
