Best place for South Indian Veg meals. Place too conjested.
Nice busy restaurant near teynampet junction.. not much to be told about the ambience but food tastes quite flavoursom.. had eaten mini meals for lunch which by no way was mini.. more than sufficient quantity and variety of food is provided in mini meals which include 3 different types of rice, poori, veg curry, aloo curry,halwa,papad...prices over here are really reasonable for every item provided.. value for money I say..
We were looking for some place for quick snacks at around 5pm and we came across Hotel Ananda on our way which i had seen many times but never went in.
Its an old style restaurant with those typical wooden seats and table. Service was super quick.
My idlis we served piping hot and friends Bonda was yummy. Food served on fresh banana leaf was appetizing. The sambar and coconut Chutney was too good so we asked for 2nd serving.
I definitely recommend this place for Authentic yummy South Indian Breakfast dishes. Pocket Friendly and almost everything is served at a reasonable price.
Food: 4/5*
Service: 4/5*
Value for Money: 4/5,
It's the first time for us,,,,,,,,, it's surprising for us that,,,,,, what we think and what happened to the dish are really different to us....... alldo we really satisfied and we really happy with food desert we're amazing,,,,,,,,,, sure we will back once again
The advantage of this restaurant is its location which is near Teynampet signal... You can get tasty food for a decent price... you will definitely be satisfied for the money you pay
Went here today for lunch... Phew.. I had meals.. Which is unlimited and costs just Rs.85/-. I feel its really worth the money and the taste was also amazing.. Its a typical south indian meals with sambar, rasam, kootu, poriyal, curd, etc etc.. A wholesome and a satisfactory meal it is.. Only thing is that the meals place is a bit cramped. They also have a separate a/c restaurant. Service is also quick.
Couldn't wait to tame any photos as there were people waiting for a table.. 😐
Definitely worth visiting again for the food (south indian meals) which I had.. 😅😅..
The review is completely based on my taste buds and my love for food. (no influence)..
Thank you 🙏
The value for money restaurant. Employees are cordially. The taste is as old as 12 years back. Meals in the AC section is my favourite especially the small poori what they serve. Can definately work on the amenities.
I have only tried lunch over here and that too only the south Indian meals. It's one of the best ones I've had. Had my work place nearby and used to come here during my lunch hour. Many times had to wait for seats. If you come with friends then one can't guarantee that you would get seats together. And once u have tasted the food then from the next time onwards you wouldn't even wait for your friend if u had to. They have a lots of varieties and if u tried everything ones u'd be full and will not have space for second serving (talking about the unlimited meals).
One of the best hotel in Chennai. Good taste, good service, Value for money. Traditional taste and good for your tummy. Especially south Indian dishes are good. Lunch is excellent.
Ananda is worth for money. Staffs are very well trained and accommodating. Unlimited meals on the sunny afternoon was a bliss! On time service. Good place to have a tasty meal.
Thali is very good and so is the parantha. The place is good for the money they charge. The servers are efficient and get refills promptly. Can try out this place for a value meal.
Ananda restaurant is very cheap but very good in preparations.
We took thali and parantha and they were tasty.
Try to sit in AC hall which is less crowded.

Appearances can be deceptive. The most underrated restaurant.5 of us went for lunch at the AC hall and we ordered meals.Unlimited meals.Very quick and friendly service.Started with mini poori(had one initially and ended up having 3 again) rice, paruppu podi, paruppu, sambhar, vatha kuzhambu, kootu, keerai, two types of poriyal (had 2 cups of lady’s finger fry),rasam and thick curd. The semiya payasam was yummmmmy.Ended the traditional way with banana and paan. You can have how many ever servings you want. No compromise on the quality or the taste.
Priced at Rs.150+GST.Highly recommended.
Will definitely check out their breakfast and dinner options soon.Couldn’t take pics due to the dim lights in the AC hall
A good place located at the centre of a busy road. I've always crossed this place and finally had ghe chance to try it 2 days ago.
I had the masala dosa, it was really good and crispy, light and also had the perfect amount of filling.
The parotta waa really good and filling as well. They give it along with Raita and kurma.
I finished it off with a cool watermelon juice.
Overall was very satisfied with their friendly and fast service and also it's affordable pricing
We visited them at a late lunch time around 3.30, with limited availability of food options whatever we had were so impressive.
Mini meals :
Sambar rice was spicy with good amount of vegetables and ghee
Curd rice : This can never go wrong.
Since the vegetable rice was over, we asked to refil Curd rice again.
Beans Parupu Usili : Tried this tambrahm special dish and was completely bowled over. Making usili is an art and we did ask for a refil again .
Thugaiyal, Puri and kurma and a big appalam(not in picture) along all for Rs. 85.
Curd Vadai was moist , soaked well and midly spiced.
Coffee is easily one of the best in chennai, I like my coffee with a dash of extra decotion and they obliged it .
Service was spot on.
Bill amount: Rs.168
Hotel Ananda is already a known place for their pocket friendly prices and amazing service over ages. Experienced them personally today.
Highly recommended.

Its the best pure-veg restaurant in the area. They serve full meals for Rs 90/- and and you will be more than satisfied to have consumed the items served. They serve around 8 to 10 items along with unlimited rice. Rasam and sweet dish are my favorite. The service is prompt and people are polite too. Full meals are served only in afternoon which is on 1st floor. They also have a A/C restaurant on 1st floor. On ground floor they serve breakfast/tiffins all day. I think the owners are from Karnataka since the hotels in Bengaluru have similar taste. Sambhar idly(two idlis drowned in a bowl full of sambhar) is a dish that you typically find in Bengaluru restaurants and it is simply awesome here. If you are a Telugu or Kannadiga in Teynampet, you must try this place
The hotel serves tasty veg dishes. We headed here for lunch and took to the AC hall on first floor. The food was served in a huge Rajasthani plate with so many small cups. They were tasty especially the sabudhana payasam —top class—. I really liked the banana and paan they gave us after the meal was completed. They do it provide WiFi. Both Hot and Cold water is available upon request and it’s free. Definite recommendation for a good noon lunch with family.
I prefer this restaurant for lunch. It is located near my office. I go with dosas and variety rice or mini meals for lunch. They don't serve full meals for dine in orders. You can still get meals for takeaway orders.
LOVE THIS PLACE. Great service! good food at very good price! I wish I can use swiggy for this place ! can I? Breakfast is great they open by 6.30 and that is just awesome . Must visit
I have had the fondest of memories of having tasty onion rava dosai.. crispy outer layer and soft in the middle served with sambar and two different chutneys at least. Chola batura was one of my other favourites too.. this place has existed ever since I moved to the neighborhood in 1991 I guess.. (not sure though).. ghee idlli is worth hogging after long sleepy college day..!!!
This is a very old hotel and still maintains its heritage.
As of now the review was written, full meals for lunch costs just rupees 80/- (podi and ghee not served)
Love the thick curd that comes along with this package.
Ambience? Sorry, this is not the right place.
The stewards are very prompt. They are everywhere and you don't end up waiting for sambar, rasam, curd or whatever.
Suitable place if you are way too hungry and don't even have time to see the menu and order stuff.
It's at mount road racing the pondy bazar road. In the midst of thick traffic one finds it difficult to park and the traffic decibels are an irritant.
In all these, the place has been here for ages and is a saviour for people working nearby. In the scorching heat, without ac and with the aforesaid challenges, it is still possible to have a good mini meals.
Taste : 4/5 ; Ambiance : 3/5(Non A/C) ; Service : 3.5/5 ; VFM : 3.5/5
Located in the Anna Salai after Siet college junction right at the turning of Eldams road..Hotel Ananda is a very old and famous restaurant in this stretch...Having been renovated couple of years back been visiting this restaurant from very small age actually...but this is just the first visit after its renovation...Parking is Available for bikes and for cars is very limited..but there are securities not 1 but 3 of them to take care of your vehicles...
Was here for a quick lunch so opted the Non A/C area in the ground floor with some basic ambiance that looks similar to any pure south indian veg restaurant with a seating capacity of not more than 40odd ppl...but be ready to share your tables with strangers as the place is very crowded during meal hours...could be the most busiest restaurant in this locality...The Service is quick and prompt always ready to help with pretty less waiting time..
Ordered a Cauliflower biryani and sambar vada...the cauliflower biryani was decent with fried cauliflower pieces in sort of biryani rice...the rice was not that great...but the sambar vada was really great and the sambar kind of blew away my mind..really well made and thick with perfect taste...vada topped with onions and was really good to taste...
Pricing is really nominal in the non A/C area and the food quality and quantity too is really good for the price...The service also is a big plus here in which many similar veg restaurants fail at...
Value for money restaurant. If you around Tnagar, Teynampet, Siet, alwarpet then you can blindly order their South Indian thali.. It was just yum! Loads of options with sufficient rice was given. Good one Ananda
I'm from Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra.. I've come here on a business trip and I was looking for a local restaurant.. This is it!! It's exactly the one I wanted! You won't find a rich or fancy ambience, just a simple one. But the food!! Oh man!! All I can say is Magizhchi! Throughout the day, I've had - Vada Sambhar, Onion Rava Dosa, Filter Coffee, Appam, Adai Avial, Parotta and Badam Milk..
If a restaurant is a landmark on the landmark road of the city, one has no right to underestimate it's posture.
As told, it's a landmark here. The junction of Eldams road and Thyagaraja road meeting Anna Salai. Parking is not a problem for 2wheelers.
Ambiance is clean and well maintained for the rush and people flow. Seats are comfortable anyway.
Had a mini meals and Parotta. The mini meals has Mini poori, sambar, Brinji, Sambhar rice, Curd rice, poriyal, thovaiyal, oorka, vadagam and kesari.
The mini poori was crispy but not hot. The brinji was spicy but good. The sambar was subtle with Ghee topping. Curd rice was good, served a bit cold. The kesari wasn't too sweet, hence made the meal end light. Parotta was crispy in the edges and tasty when had with korma and raita.
Pricing is pretty nominal and service is friendly and fast. Dish serving time is less.
Good vegeterian hotel, The taste and quality of the food, service is also too good.
Best place for veggies, when compare to other hotels nearbuy this is the best
If you ever speak to a student of the science sections of 2010 batch of PS Senior, you could ask them about 'Tanveer's lunch, in particular, the paneer butter masala' There have been wars, for that small box, which included women going nuts, sneaking into my lunch box before first period to find out what I've brought , and me showing some unnecessary favours to women who I liked, by saving some of it for them. Guilty as charged. All thanks to the recipe that my mother learnt from the chef here. It's that damn good. I'm not lying one bit.
As a patron of Hotel Ananda for the past 13 years, I can say with absolute conviction that this is where you must go for consistency. Consistently, their food has been excellent, and that is not a simple task by any means. Their service has been top notch. They are not there to mess around. Hence food is given promptly, ergo, it is not the ideal place to sit for a long chat. It's the place where you want to go when you're hungry, and all you want is great food. Nothing less.
This vegetarian joint often goes unnoticed even though it is in the middle of the city. Though the regulars, would swear by it being the most affordable and easily the best vegetarian restaurant in Chennai. they do not offer a multitude of dishes, its all south indian and just a peek into north india, about 15 north indian dishes if you ask me. But whatever they give, it is always top drawer stuff. I live very close by to that place and my family and I have been regulars there for the past 15 years. It is the only place besides home, which I have eaten countless times, and yet I have not got bored of it even till date. It is located bang in the middle of the ever-busy Teynampet signal junction, spitting distance from the newly opened Kalyan jewellers.
Items that you must try;
1. Ghee masala dosa (available for breakfast and dinner) 80 Rs.
2. Paneer tikka masala and Paneer butter masala - Dinner only (90rs each)
3. Paneer fried rice - Dinner only (80rs)
4. Veg special meals (only in the AC hall) - Lunch only (120 rs)
Like I said, regular for 13 years so I know the prices by heart. I don't even ask for the menu these days. :P And where else do you get such top drawer food for such prices. The same paneer butter masala, with lesser quantity and paneerusedlikediamonds (in terms of number) is what i've had in other famous restaurant chains (i'm looking at you hotel that rhymes with aravana ghavan).
Writing this review after probably the millionth time (hyperbole, yes) I had a meal there. Don't know why I didn't write this review earlier.
To all you super foodies in chennai, I highly recommend that, you, for once, do stop and smell the roses. Or the food.
Cheers. : )
Had a late breakfast here with Grandpa due to his recommendation. Actually from what I heard from my grandfather this was quite a old hotel and it shares my dad's name so it had some good emotional connection with him..
The place is super easy to locate on mount road few metres from sun TV office .
We ordered ghee mini idly ,onion rava dosa . The mini idlys were out of the world .I'd definitely recommend the reader to try it . The rava dosa was crispy and just in my taste . The sambar is very good on this place . We also had a active waiter who made our breakfast experience a whole lot brighter . We ordered two coffees , which were thick and creamy in authentic madras flavour. Since it was already late we bought a sambar rice as parcel for thatha's lunch ( which he later said was very good as well ) .The total bill was 211 rs , which I feel is just above the average price .But I felt it was totally worth for the food I had
Today (21/03/2016)
again i joined for breakfast and thinking of having Idly in my favorite joint but it was over as being told. I asked for Thair Vada and it was imaging as i had two pieces. It was great and finished with my Filter Coffee.
Had late breakfast at Hotel Ananda at Teynampet Signal. It is one of the old favorite breakfast point from the time in Chennai. Surprise to see in Zomato List. They serve realy great Idly and Filter coffee.
Right next to our client's place, Hotel Ananda, is our evergreen lunch spot. Be it meals, mini meals, chapathis, rice varieties or even cut fruits - they are simple and good. The service is fast and humble. You will readily repeat your visit to the hotel without a second thought, particularly if you are working in the next building.

One of my favourite hotels from my childhood...!!! Famous for south indian nd evening bites...!!!
A typical and a high-quality south Indian pure vegetarian restaurant. You have all the south indian varieties starting with idly, vada, pongal, all dosa varieties - the list keeps going. Try the poori-masal for breakfast here. I use to eat here everyday during my induction program near GRT Grand T nagar. The coffee also is good and the price is decent compared to the speed and quality you get. Do not expect much on the ambience front as it's in the busy mount road. Parking will be ambitious if you take your car.
One of my best and quality hotel which is also situated near by home. am always love to eat here only even breakfast, lunch and dinner also. Service is best in hotel ananda. so i always preferred to hotel ananda only. not only mine even m family members elders to youngsters all love to eat at hotel ananda only. my favorite dish is idly all time fav dish.. each and every dish is special in ananda and its taste melted in tongue. A very simple and excellent south Indian restaurant. the food is really nice. One of the few south Indian veg restaurants that I actually love eating at. The meals are yum. The paratas, dosas, everything is really tasty. The prices are extremely inexpensive. So definitely a really good place to have a meal.

nice restaurant!!!! and i am an regular customer of this place, this is one of the oldest restaurants in t.nagar and it is a memorable place for me!!!!!!
sambhar❤️ woow!!
that taste... no change in that...
its the same taste since my childhood.
idly with sambhar forms a good combination here..
"SAMBAR " no words!! Pretty awesome!'✌🏼️😍.
Walked down to this place to taste authentic Tamil food from Marriott. This turned out to be a good experiment. We ordered Spinach special dosa and rava onion masala dosa along with filter coffee. The bill was under Rs250. This was true value for money restaurant with comfortable AC sitting on the first floor.
Wanted to try this restaurant for a very long time as it is in the very heart of Anna Salai. Today got that final chance. We went around 4 for an evening coffee and snacks. It was very very nice. Their bonda was very good. So was their filter coffee. Ambience is rightly set for a south Indian restaurant. Totally liked this place.
Happen to have a masala dosa here. Service was quick and dosa was good. I did not try any other thing apart from masala dosa. The dosa was of 55 rs. I must say very pocket friendly place. You can stop by for a quick bite.
Hello foodies 😋😀
This is one of the oldest restaurants in teynampet, chennai. During my school days when i was in 1st grade till 6th grade I used to have evening tiffin here along with my mom when she came from work. Very memorable place☺️
I love the barotta and meals here. All tiffin items and meals are good😋😘..
Recently went for lunch with grandparents. My grandpa had meals, I had sambar rice, curd vadai, barotta and my grandma had samar rice oly😄. All the items were yummyyyyy😍😋😋😋 worth for the price and they give very quality food😊 .. Sambar rice quantity is too less and they give one small papad oly 😕😑... Good service by the waiters in the AC hall. The AC hall is neat and clean. Food is great.
Over all- the best restaurant in teynampet😉
Taste-4/5
Quality- 4/5

Value for money- 4/5
This used to be my regular breakfast joint a few years ago, but have not eaten there in the last 3-4 years, until I got a chance to do so again recently.
Their breakfast items are well made and competitively priced. I have found their Pongal to be quite good, but the Idlis are about average. Sambar and chutneys are above average in taste. Their filter coffee is exceptionally good.
Lunchtime options are the meals which is similar to any other such establishment, but they excel in the variety rice they serve. The sambar rice, and lemon rice are worth trying.
I remember a time when the prices were a lot lower, but happily enough they have not revised the prices severely, and this place still remains one of the best VFM eateries in the area.
The place is nothing great to look at, nor does it project a warm inviting feel, but if one braves all that and gets past the door, you will be met by dated interiors with mediocre service, but the food is sure to be satisfying and inexpensive.
Hotel Ananda is one of the places near my office. I remember how I was introduced to this. An editor colleague friend, used to frequent this place for meals and snacks. When I mentioned of going to the same places and getting parcels too from the same places is getting boring, he said he will show this awesome restaurant.
Okay and one fine afternoon, at lunch time, on his insistence, we walked from our office which is at the start of Eldam's Road, Near Samco towards the end of the road, turning left for Hotel Ananda. While I was already hungry, this walk increased the hunger twice. I ordered the Meals, He ordered dosa, his staple diet and another colleague went in for Idly and vadai.
Food was good, both the meals as well as the tiffin items.
Frankly I found this place to be better than another meals joint nearby office.
The place is very hygienic and you get decent food.
The location is very strategic and the joint does get lot of customers.
After that I have been there twice (no more walking, either auto or car :))
And more often recently we have got take aways. Love the idlis here, very soft and yummy, complete value for money. I have the hard and tasteless idlis that some places serve. Even the chapathi and Kurma that we bring often, from here is liked my aunt a lot.
I have tried a few other items like a paneer dish and pulao, was decent. Never tried their Chinese menu.
There are times when it really takes very long even to get your takeaway parcel. but the wait is worth it.
Good vegetarian restaurant... Taste is good... I usually order mini meals which is a customized variety rice... They usually provide sweet with this mini meals which never disappointed me... Service is good... Don't expect peaceful environment but it's clean... The restaurant has always been busy... Ven-Pongal was superb here please try...

This hotel has a huge location advantage. Although there are few small meals/tiffin shops open on anna salai, none can level the quality food at such reasonable price.
What I loved most was the sambar, poond podi dosa, appam with curry.
The service was really good and not a single request was missed like the extra curry, no ice juice, no sugar coffee.
When will I eat in Hotel Ananda? This has been the question on my mind for many months. What prevented me from dining here?
One mans loss is another mans gain. Being on the busiest junction of teynampet and mount road or annasalai is advantage for almost everyone except the people who drive own cars. No guessing the reason is PARKING. Always busy junction so difficult to find a relaxed time to step in. I wanted to end the wait today 15/8/14 Independence Day holiday with little busy traffic less police pressure for parking I made a stop for lunch.
AMBIENCE- Typical hotel with ground floor tiffin section.
Meals on the first floor.
I was asked to take my meals token from the cash counter in the ground floor.
The meals section has closely placed tables with plenty of staff for service. Well illuminated and reasonably ventilated. No frills atmosphere. (3.5/5)
FOOD-
A supervisor orders for water to be served.
A big round plate with banana leaf on it..
Katchoris with dishes in them.
Beetroot poriyal- nice taste with channa dhal in it
Avial - excellent taste
Paruppu/ Dhal- lent a homely feeling to the meal
Sambar- very good in taste.
Karakuzhambu - with drumstick in it was ok in taste. Bit bitter.
Rasam- ok in taste
Jawarasi payasam- excellent taste small chunks of coconut was only irritant to my palate.
Curd
Buttermilk
Rice
Appalam.
Everything was unlimited.
Overall taste was good. (3.5/5)
SERVICE- Each table had one gentleman in blue coloured shirt helping with customer seating, overall supervison for that table. Next another supervisor in green coloured shirt takes the token etc. Next comes the waiters.
Typical wedding style service. The supervisor for my table served me and my co diner avial twice without even asking for it. I asked for extra bowl of sambar. Though it was a busy meal time at no point did anyone make a fuss in serving. EXCELLENT SERVICE.(5/5)
COST- unlimited meals at Rs.70 on one of the busiest junctions in mount road is more than value according to me.
I am still floored by the service. MUST LEARN SERVICE STANDARDS BY THE SO CALLED BIG GUNS IN HOSPITALITY.
A big salute to the staff and management in providing such polite service.
REVIEW UPDATE-
Visited ground floor service hall.
Ordered mini meals.
Sweet- kesari good
Poori- mini pooris 2 numbers
Kurma- nice taste
Lemon rice- ok in taste
Sambar rice- little spicy
Appala poo- one piece
Poriyal- potato ok in taste
Curd rice- good in taste
Pickle
Thuvayal
At Rs. 65 its not so value compared to unlimited meals for 70 in the same place.
This place has been a haven for the busy dwellers near Teynampet signal and has been my life saver at the rate of once a week for more than a decade. Hotel Ananda has become a landmark thanks to its quality food and quick service. Serving people for more than two decades one can only imagine on why they haven't branched out like Saravana Bhavan.
PROS:-
* Location makes even the worst of hotels to be busy all the times. Right next to the opening of Eldams road and Pondy Bazaar/T-Nagar and in the junction of Teynampet, I can't really think of a better location for a hotel.
* Parking facilities, while limited, are carefully manned. Considering its busy location, they've given more than what they can.
* The food quality here is amazing and I've always compared it to the likes of biggies such as Saravana, Sangeetha and Anandha bhavan.
* The service is quick and the waiters here are so friendly. They'll give you more sambhar and chutney than you would need and keep refilling it even before you ask.
* Parcels are the main 'galla collector' here. Even I frequent this place predominantly for take aways.
* The prices are justifiable and won't bore a hole into our pockets.
* While almost all their dishes are good, their idlys are the best and something I recommend everyone to try.
CONS:-
* There aren't much for me to write in this section. The parcel queue is pretty long at times but the staffs are skilled enough to manage it well.
* Cleanliness of the restaurant & Personal Hygiene of the servers - A huge difference of why I parcel my food.
* The so called Chinese items such as fried rice, though good, takes a long time to reach you.
Overall, my experience here has mostly been good and while this isn't a place worth travelling all the way just to eat, it provides the best it could to its locals and hungry bus riders who cross the busy roads everyday.
RATINGS BREAK UP:-
Location:- 4/5
Parking:- 3/5
Reception:- 2.5/5
Food:- 4.5/5
Customer Service:- 4/5
Ambience:- 3/5
Price:- 4.5/5
This place would come under the "decent-not -too-great" category. The place is apt for those who want a quick meal. The food is decent and not at all expensive. A perfect place for a quickie .
A decent hotel for everyday use. But the costs in the a/c hall is way more expensive. Meals outside 70rs inside a/c hall 140 rupees double the amount for some chill air and bad lighting
Very good value for money
I have been the regular customer of Hotel Ananda for more than 10 years. The food (especially meals) is very good. All the 3 types of side dishes (porial, koottu, pachadi) served alongwith meals will be very good and nowhere in Chennai I find such taste in all varieties of meals. However, now the meals section is moved to first floor where the place is very congested and the meals is served in plates. Earlier the meals section was in ground floor and the meals will be served in banana leaf. At that time, the service also will be very good. The waiters will be serving the side dishes without asking and generously. However, now in first floor, we have to ask and wait for the additional items which will be served only in cups. Suggest to follow the earlier pattern.
One of the old hotels in Chennai. Provides authentic South Indian delicacies. Serving in Banana leaf! I like the lunch they serve. It was always a rush. But one will get his/her place for a few min wait. It serves unlimited meals. I like the rasam they serve.
Parking is a problem, located just opposite to signal.

Had crispy tasty masala dosa. Eating South Indian food on plantain leaf itself gives a great feeling to start with. Their sambar, coconut and tomato chutney were also perfect combination for the masala dosa. Had a filter coffee to finish. Overall very good dining experience. No need to mention about their friendly and experienced staff. They know exactly what you want and what to recommend if you are unsure. Highly recommended.
Hotel Ananda on Anna Salai is one of the popular veg restaurants in Chennai. It used to be a major bus stop for mofussil buses. Cost is exonomical and the place is almost always crowded. Vegetarian options include South Indian breakfast items, lunch, mini lunch, Chinese items like fried rice. Taste wise also it's good.
I haven't seen any reviews of this hotel just went their for the first time and I ordered masala dosa. I expected the taste will be average but to my surprise the taste was good. Especially the taste of coconut and mint chutney are good. Sambar is average. Then I ate parotta and veg gravy, I will rate 5/5 for parotta and gravy it's Excellent. The price is high which is expected as it in Chennai and in main area
Wow. Just wow. This place is such a gem for all the vegetarians out there.
We ordered dinner from Hotel Ananda this weekend and it was truly the best decision.
Our order was,
Masala Dosa and Idly both of it were really good and the sambar that came along with it was truly good. And their chutneys were great too.
Gobi fried rice was super light on the stomach with ample fried Gobi pieces and was homestyle.
Chilli parotta was definitely delectable and the portion size was great too. Loved eating it with the onion raita.
Finally ordered Gulab Jamun which was heavenly but the only con was it was so pricey, 40 rupees for a tiny jamun is definitely not fair you guys.
Overall using the offers on Zomato gold, out bill was 388 which was really a great deal for the quality and the taste offered.
If you are around teynampet looking out for a vegetarian friendly place for great food on budget, do check them out 🌻
A very popular restaurant in a busy junction of Tnagar, Eldams rd & MntRd signal.
A ready place for hot South Indian cuisine. Tiffins, meals every thing.
Hv a Ac hall also.
Meal time are very crowded. Tokens are must. Nice banana leaf service.
Friendly staffs.
Value for money.
A no frills, pocket friendly restaurant
A very good place offering traditional lip smacking South India pocket that too pocket friendly. The service here is very good and staff here are very friendly. The food is served in banana leaf which is a added bonus. They also have a AC hall to beat the summer. Overall is good place for having traditional food but won't suggest if you want to have fine dine or cozy atmosphere.

This is such a quality hotel with many varieties of food items. They keep changing the tiffin items on a daily basis and keep them updated on the name board. Meals and mini meals and other rice varieties are fine.
Being situated on the main road signal this hotel is crowded. Price is medium to high.
Would rate this hotel more than A2B and Sangeethas.
They don't have any branches. But this place is maintained well for a long period of time.
Supervisors can do better job than now.
Parking will be an issue here. Two wheelers can be fitted. But car parking will be very difficult.
