Good quality vegetarian food at EA’s food court. This place is a bit more special than it’s counterparts. Set dosa vadacurry is a must try. It’s so fresh.
Wheat upma is very tastefully made.
Vegetarians are sure to enjoy this place.
It’s pricey though.
Regular dosas are passable.
Never tried lunch here. So no comments on that. This review is based on my dinner experience on Saturday night 😂
This place in express avenue food court serves south indian and some north indian dishes. Went here to get some soup for kid. Tomato soup is Rs.90 which is okay. The quantity is very less. They give it in a papercup which we usually carry for drinking water. For the price they charge , i expect a good quantity of soup.
Taste wise, soup was good and no complaints. The other items in the menu are so costly. Idly costs Rs.100 and dosa around 140 rupees. Are you guys using batters for idly / dosa or something else. Their prices are almost on par with a star hotel. Pricing needs to be revisited.
A Dosa Place That Knows What its Doing
The Food:
We had their masala dosa and ghee dosa varieties and both tasted quite good.
The chutney and sambar have an authentic taste and are quite satisfying. Serving sizes of sambar and chutney should be increased for a more complete experience.
Ambiance:
Its a food court so not much to write about the ambiance or the service.
May have to wait for a while to get served as there is a big rush on certain days.
Pricing:
On the higher side but, when you are inside a mall where everything is ridiculously over priced, it does not seem too much of a concern.
Verdict:
Recommended if you visit EA Mall
Decent dosa's bit pricey but being inside a mall in a food court it's justifiable. If you are in a mood for simple food while shopping in the mall this would be the good option.
I believe that mall food courts are a pit stop on long walks between shops. For sustenance and to give your legs a break. Ditto for this food court too. But this outlet was a breath of fresh air. It was busy and seemed to be attracting a lot of customers and curiosity got the better if me. The family was devouring chicken from a famous outlet. As i stood in line i saw a patron walk away with what looked loke a very delicious dossa. I ordered the same. The rava dossa with extra masala was exquisite. Positively tasty. I strongly recommend. If ever in the vicinity will try the food again.
First, there s nothing unique in this outlet. I thought for the name they have ( unit of dasaprakash) it should be mouth watering. My mom makes better Dosa than this.
Second, it s way too costly . I had spent 135/- for one plate set Dosa and 30/- for coffee. Well , it doesn't seem normal to me. I find better Dosa for less price in many other places.
Been here a couple of times in middle of shopping , one must try southindian tiffin outlet in ea food court , love their crispy podi dosa , ghee roast n paper .
Each dosa variety is served with coconut chutney and sambhar .
The dosa was too crisp n so hot n it ll get disappeared within seconds
Happy eating ! Alldayhungry007
It's restaurant was located on EA 3rd floor..... It's not a restaurant it's like a food court.... I am order Onion rava dhosha it's awesome and very tasty.... Then I order one more that.... Dhosha vada kari its my favourite in menu..... Food worth for money....
Before ur satyam movie in express avenue please do urself a favor n order dosas from them. Best in town.
Masala dosas are to die for.
Nothing more to say.
Opposite to Burger King in the food court owned by the same group as that of Kapila dasa is dasa dozza. Here the prices are much lesser because it happens to be a part of the food court.
I've had couple of times earlier from here. Their dosas are pricey competed to other South Indian joints but they serve 2 medium sized dosas for that.
Also they have Jain food available at all times.
So today we ordered plain dosa. Which is served along with white chutney aloo masala and sambhar. But we skipped masala because it isn't Jain.
They did not take much time to serve. The dosa was super crispy and not too oily. Sambhar tasted good as well. Have had their onion rava dosa which is good and crispy as well. Yet to try their green peas masala which is one of my favourites. The kitchen from the small window looks hygienic as well.
Overall :
Food - 4/5.
Vfm - 3.5/5.
Service - NA.
Ambiance - NA.
Do visit for some quality and authentic South Indian food.
Make it your favourite destination for dosa. Especially Karam Dosa. The best I've ever had. Ethnic south Indian flavours blows away your mind. Totally worth for the price you pay and the satisfaction you get is undeniable. Coconut chutney, sambhar are exquisite. And Vadacurry is just out of the box. HEAVENLY. I'm visiting that damn thing again ☝
Awesome food at the entire food court in EA never disappointed and it is freshly made which is a blessing in disguise the pesarattu and adai never fails
A good place for South Indian. Was in express avenue today and decided to have cheese masala dosa from here. Since it was dinner I wanted something that isn't too heavy but dosa with cheese made me too damn curious and I couldn't resist eating it. The dosa turned out to be pretty good. It was rich on the palate and I was so happy to have ordered it.
Tried the cheese masala dosa.. Was a different taste from all dosas I had tasted till now.. Good it was...
Quantity was also good..
Quite good in varieties.. But way costly.. Courtesy to the location of the restaurant.. Can't be blamed much..
It's very nice place to have lunch, which I usually do. The taste is really good. I have only two issues. One, the price is really high and wouldn't let us eat stomach full. The quantity is also meagre. Then, the staff aren't really courteous and polite. They will surely make you consider other options in the mall
This is also a good place to eat dosas before we catch up movies. Set dosa and vadacurry is good and filling. The other dosas are in little portions for the price they charge.
After some shopping in EA we were in mood for some quick food. Friend who had come from US wanted to have south Indian and we chose this outlet. Took a special lunch which had bisibelabath, variety rice, poriyal, curd rice , pickle n pappad. I had adai aviyal. The meals was good. Curd rice was little sour and on mentioning the staff replaced it for us with another cup. But no extra veggie or pappad was given. And the amount in the meals was not enough for the variety rice and the bisibelabath.
Adai was very average. Two small pieces with watery mediocre avial was 135 bucks. No way worth the money. I think one has to stick to selected dishes here. Prices are but high for a kiosk/self service set up.
Dosa was good! Taste wise it was really good... But quantity was quite disappointing compared to the price charged. As usual anything u buy in EA is expensive thus... Mouth shut!
Compared to the other outlets at EA it is a bit pricy...but.. you gotta love them for their chutneys.
The Set Dosa Vadacurry to me is the winner :)
It's in the food court of express avenue ... Craving for dosa .... We ordered cheese masala dosa and kara chutney dosa .... Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm is the word ... Man the sambar and chutney really perfect !! Paka South Indian flavour .... Sambar vada was perfect !! This place serves good coffee .too....

This rating is not for their food. . But for their humanity and attention to their customer.
I went there with my wife and 7 months old kid. .In the long shopping list we forgot that it was lunch time not jus for us but for our baby too...
We didn't come prepared as it was an unexpected shopping which got extended. . We decided to give her idly.. dasa dosa. .They didn't have idly. . But that guy justsaw our situation. .He made that mini idly.. put the sambar in a different cup. .put lots of ghee on the idly. ..made sure our crying kid was attended to. .He even tried to sooth her..And saw to that we are comfortable and he did all he could to ensure that. .
His image grew very very big in our eyes. ..that to when the whole of my family was hungry. .He did what an eatery was supposed to do. . He fed us, and made us very very satisfied.
One of the few places that do justice to good South Indian cuisine. Loved each order placed here.
Visit 2: Ordered for Set Dosa and Idli. No doubts about the taste but set dosa was very oily. The coconut chutney is really good.
My Verdict
Food : 4.5 / 5
Service : 4 / 5
Value for money : 4 / 5
Well, my first visit to this resto after a movie at escape cinemas was last night. I would have crossed this place hundreds of times but I never stepped in. Went their as other restaurants at Express Avenue was full.Ordered for a dosa and sambar idly which tasted really nice and also they didn't take much time to deliver it.It's a must try restaurants for people who are in search of South Indian restaurants.
Very tasty food lil bit pricey but with the money Paid is worth it they serve two dosas in one plate unlike other places
