"I recently dined at Crescent Restaurant and had an outstanding experience. The ambiance was inviting, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive. The menu offered a diverse selection, and the dishes I ordered were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The attention to detail in both flavor and presentation truly stood out. The service was prompt, and the overall dining experience left a lasting positive impression. I highly recommend Crescent Restaurant for anyone looking for a memorable culinary experience."
Good Food and Friendly Staff. Lots of variety in food. Loved the Starters and Biryani. Quality of food is awesome. Would definitely come again. Abdul Rahim was keen on answering all our kerala cuisine related questions, with a smile and great enthusiasm.
I had the Thai Chicken Soup, Grilled Chicken and Caramel Flan. The Thai Chicken Soup wasn't creamy like it was supposed to be. I could taste a lot of garlic and not much of the coconut. The grilled chicken was delicious. Probably one of the best I've had in a while. The Flan was insanely good. The caramel sauce was perfect and although the flan itself was a little thicker than expected it tasted really good. The ambience and seating left me wanting more though. The Air Conditioner wasn't really doing much and the floors were slippery.
Crescent, my all-time favorite restaurant, has never failed to impress me. Their dishes have consistently exceeded my expectations, and I have visited countless times. One standout dish is the Appam and Chicken Sukka Semi-Gravy, with its outstanding taste and flavors. The Kizhi paratto , Crescent Special Biryani and Tandoori Chicken are also highly recommended and never disappoint. The service is top-notch, with attentive staff always ready to assist. The ambience strikes the perfect balance between elegance and comfort. If you're seeking a remarkable dining experience, I urge you to visit Crescent and indulge in their culinary delights.
This is one of few good places in Chennai where authentic Kerala cuisine is available. This place is more of a family restaurant. The food doesn’t justify the price though.
I had the Thai Chicken Soup and Grilled Chicken The Thai Chicken Soup was like it was supposed to be. I could taste a lot of garlic, which i like personally. The grilled chicken was delicious. Probably one of the best I've had in a while. The ambience and seating left me wanting more though. Overall, this place is good for value.

Website shows open 10:00-100:00. Went there at 11:15am to try out the appam and chicken curry. Disappointed. Was told doesn’t open before 12 noon. Website needs to show proper hours.
Made it here today. Tried the popular “2 appam + chicken stew” combo. Very tasty and appams well made. Plenty of curry for the two appams. Maybe can have 1 more. Overall happy experience. Recommend people try out this restaurant.
I have ordered parotta, gravy & grill chicken combo. Worth the money but somehow that day the grill chicken was not had the usual flavour and taste or it was not the same as how they serve at Nungambakkam branch
A delightful dining experience! The restaurant's ambiance was chic yet welcoming. The menu offered a diverse array of dishes, each one bursting with mouthwatering flavors and presented beautifully. The service was top-notch, with attentive staff catering to every need. From the appetizers to the desserts, everything was a delectable treat. The chef's attention to detail was evident in each dish. Prices were reasonable for the quality provided. Overall, a memorable culinary journey that I can't wait to repeat! Highly recommend to anyone seeking a memorable gastronomic adventure.
we ordered a biryani and really tastes amazing. staff is still following the precautions of covid to avoid spreading is really appreciable. Thanks for you service
A decent old restaurant in Adyar which is serving authentic Kerala dishes. They are not only famous for their Kerala cusine but they are good at chettinad and Arabian cuisine too.
This place will be crowded always as they are well known for their lunch, tea and dinner.
Even during evening tea time people will be visiting this place to try their tea and kerala style snacks.
Coming to their ambience its a typical family restaurant type. Which is neat.
They are well known for their Kearala parotta and their garvys. Tried that and the taste of their parotta and gravy have not changed since ages.
Last but not the least they are good at their custards and puddings as well. If you are a dessert lover try that too.
P.S You will be served no normal water but jeera reddish water 🙂
One of the best restaurant and the food was tasty. All need to try the tandoori and I love Kerala poratta with chicken combination.
Have good parking area and atmosphere is good and staff is friendly

We had Chicken Malabar briyani and chicken Mughal briyani with Kerala chicken. Each and every briyani tasted unique. Malabar briyani is something special here that has to be tasted for sure. Kerala chicken is well cooked with coconut taste in it.
Their welcome drink-jeera water( which has some more vettiveru kind of herbals in it I guess) was awesome.
