Dal makhni is good but it gets too salty at times. I've ordered the thali here multiple times. Sometimes the three gravies are all of the spicy flavour. They usually gave a scoop of icecream as the dessert and it was placed in the same thali box. By the time it reached me, needless to say it was completely melted from the heat of the other items. It was mentioned in the description that the biryani will be added for the rice part but it tasted only like mildly flavoured rice with a chicken piece. As for thali is concerned, overall quality is good.
I ordered tandoori chicken half for my parents in covid, they said the taste was good and asked me to order here again the next timeπ

Both quantity & quality never disappoints. Tried most of the items from the menu, all good. :)
We reached 11:30pm and closing time was 12 still we were served very well and they quality and quantity of food was really awesome and satisfactory.
We tried onion pudhina pakoda, barbeque chicken, veg patiyala, special dal tadka and wheat parotha, roti, cheese garlic nana. Everything was super tasty and really friendly staff. Love the food, sure will back again .And thanks for playing birthday music/songs.
Best Punjabi Restaurant in the whole block of Perungudi and Kandanchavadi. I went with my colleagues. We ordered Tandoori Chicken - Half which is very authentic and spicy as its to be, Veg thail (1 roti 1 naan, Veg Briyani, panner makhani, veg kadai, dal, Salad, Gulab Jamun) - Veg Briyani is awesome. Non-veg thali (1 roti, 1 naan, Egg masala, Chicken biryani and 2 types of chicken subzi) - Biryani quality is awesome. The subzi and dal are outstanding. I will go to this restaurant whenever I think of Punjabi food and recommend to friends and family.
Thank you for the tracking system. Itβs highly efficient for me. Zomato experience has been amazing.
While looking for a North Indian restaurant found this gem. Small n cozy place with very welcoming staff. Loved their combos menu. Have tried many items there Butter chicken, Chicken keema, biryani etc etc and everything is too good. You should try them for sure if you want some good North Indian non veg food.
Visited this place accidently along with my wife (we both are foodie) as we couldn't get booking in some other restaurant. This restaurant is located opposite to RMZ millenia IT park in Perungudi.
We ordered tandoori quarter for starter. Taste and presentation was good 4.5/5
Aaloo paratha with curd - nicely mashed potatoes with good flavour of masala and coriander. 5/5
Malai methi paneer and 2 butter roti - best malai methi I had in long time 5/5
Ambience inside 4/5
Service 4/5
Food portion and taste 5/5
Only cons is parking space.
I loved the lassi here which is provided in corona beer bottle. Rotis were good. A nice place to hang out for medium budget dinner. Try butter chicken.
A small restaurant which serves delicious Punjabi food. The chicken is succulent and tender. Be it the chicken tikka or the gravy. The cheese paneer was yummylicious. Finally for desert had the gulabjamun with rabri which was a soul soothener for a delicious dinner.
The sitting and ambience is good it will give you a nice feel of being in a punjabi dhaba with the traditional old things used for necessity.
Food raised the bar consistently as we keep on ordering things.
Garlic Nan + Paneer Patiala was great, dal tadka and jeera rice were awesome.
Chota pack bada Dhamaka
This line explains everything about this place
Treasure for Punjabi food lovers
But this place has very few seats. So, cannot accommodate many people
Was craving for proper reasonably priced Punjabi food since past few weeks untill one of my friend told me about this small but wonderful place near OMR food street Kadnachavdi.
Place has beautiful interior with cozy Punjabi style seating area with nice bollywood / punjabi music to set up the mood.
Since I was not in a mood for starters so just ordered main course.
Food ordered,
1) Chicken Rara: Chicken pieces and chicken keema in a rich spicy yogurt-tomato gravy. Perhaps the best chicken rara I have tried in a while. (5/5)
2) Kadhai Chicken: Chicken gravy cooked in an Indian wok(kadhai) with a lot of fresh ground spices also known as Kadai Masala, Onion, tomatoes, ginger and garlic. Taste was good but wasn't that spicy. (4/5)
3) Gulab jamun with Rabri : 2 pieces of gulab jamun served with home-like rabdi. (4/5)
4) Cheese garlic naan / butter naan / Special Naan: All breads were good but cheese was little less in Special and Cheese garlic naan. (4/5)
Lot of people on Zomato complained that their service is little slow. I didn't find it that slow. Food was served in 20-25 minutes despite 3 other groups and everything tasted fresh.
Taste: 4/5
Service: 4.5/5
Location: 5/5
Ambience: 4/5
Lovely food! Great cutlery. Ordered the butter chicken which was something like never before that I have had in Chennai. They serve buttermilk in a kingfisher pint used bottle which can be a question of hygiene to some people. Other wise thumbs up for what matters the most - the food !

Good morning and I invited to Dg by the same time to Dg by the same time to Dg by the same time to Dg by the same time to Dg by the first time for the same time to the same thing that is neck and I was
I loved the food absolutely!! Chicken rara is the signature dish which they have...its absolutely a must to try that!! I ordered dal makhni, chicken rara, tandoori roti and naan and last but not the least, the Punjab famous " kulhad di lassi ", i loved every bit of it. It had that authentic Punjabi touch to it, which only few North Indian restaurants in Chennai have!
Ambience was also good but the only minus point is that the place is very small and congested...rest everything was well satisfying!!
Very tasty food both veg and non veg with a great ambiance which make you feel like you're sitting in dabha and also a restaurant. Food is really tasty, just it's bit expensive because the quantity is less compared to price. Must try it's Rabdi. Bit expensive but that's the best Rabdi I ate in Chennai.
Visited this place on weekday around 8PM. It wasn't much crowded. I liked the interior designs. We ordered for fish tikka starter and one chicken biryani... Though we received a bit late both tasted so good
Especially biryani was so spicey and very yumy
Great place and music.. Feels cozy. Food was great. Had ordered lassi, stuffed mushrooms, Afghani chicken, butter chicken and oalak paneer, every dish was delicious!
Polite staff, nice ambiance and authentic punjabi food
I ordered for afghani chicken and stuffed mushroom for starter, both the starters were amazing and the portion size was also good
Then we ordered for butter chicken and palak paneer with naan and lassi
Everything was just perfect
Had a great dining. Beautiful place for north indian food lovers with good taste. Paneer was very soft but quantity was less.... And in terms of service and ambience i would rate 9/10....
Itβs a decent eating corner with good food and their Platters are good enough to be shared by two. Rotis are the must try here. Itβs in the prime place which is a good place to lunch.
Went their for dinner on sunday... place was pretty deserted as it was sunday all IT parks around were closed! Great place to visit for Punjabi food! Loved them... will visit again. Must agree it is Pocket friendly too...π
So this is a very small punjabi dhaba with awesome food.A big thumbs up.They have punjabi beer also.famous for the lassi and also for other dishes. We ordered chesee garlic naan that was 10 out of 10 and butter chicken..waaah khane ka maja agaya..do check out this place and you will actually feel like you ended up in punjab.π
A very good place. Wonderful service. No compromise on quality. A slightly high price on the starters. On the whole, a reliable place for a good hangout, except for the Bollywood and Punjabi songs, which takes time for getting adjusted, when you enter the hotel, but sets in as you begin to eat.
Had a great time dining. Beautiful taste of North Indian dishes. Chicken was good but could have been a bit more softer. In terms of ambience and service, it's a 10/10.
Simple yet delicious food! The restaurant is quite small and might get busy at times. The paneer tikkas are exquisite and so is the cheese paratha. One of the places you can visit on a month end cuz it doesn't cost a bomb!
It's a nice place for north indian taste. Sarson da saag with makke ki roti is very good item there. Service is prompt too. Food is medium spicy. Another good thing is half plate service is also available for small group.
This is our first visit to the restaurant. Ordered chicken keema masala combo and paneer makhni combo.
Taste was good. But the quantity of the gravy was very less..Could increase the quantity of the gravy so that it will be sufficient for the rotis served...And the combo menu should have been more clearer with the either or choice...As there was no such intimation ( '/', 'or') we couldn't find that the combo had a choice of roti or punjabi paratta..And only after the arrival of the dish we came to know by asking the waiter there..
Otherwise everything was gud, nice ambience and the food tasted good..Thanks !! ππ
Ordered a panner tikka roll, Amritsari Naan and a Panner Dilbahar. Had a great meal worth the price and the amount of panner in each dish is pretty good. Definitely will order again.
The best food you can get in town.Starters-great, Main course-Great, Dessert - great, Hospitality- Great, Ambience-Okayish. The price was a little high.
Visit - Several times - mostly for dinner with colleagues ;)
Ambiance, parking and staff-courtesy - ( 0.8 / 1 ) - Classic Punjabi dhaba design - though a small one, interiors are inline with the concept. Little difficult to spot a seat on crowded evenings. Staffs were brisk and courteous. Parking is definitely a problem for 4-wheeler, however bikers can manage to find a spot ;-)
Cost for Food - ( 0.4 / 0.5 ) - Good pricing compared to other Punjabi restaurants around the corner.
Starters - ( 1.0 / 1.0 ) - Bliss! We have tried considerable amount of starters on both veg and nonveg- Achari paneer Tikka, Cheese Paneer Tikka, Lahori chicken tikka and lucky spl chicken tikka - everything lived upto expectations. Special mention for Afghani tandoori chicken - which was unique and a must try option ! ;-)
Courses (Veg / NonVeg) - ( 2 / 2 ) - Even after so many visits, I have never tasted their biryani / rice. This review is solely based on their bread items and their curries ! Patiyala chicken masala, veg Banjara , kadai paneer, paneer bhurji goes well with any of their breads. Garlic naan, amristari naan and lucky da spl naan are our usual picks.
Deserts - ( 0.5 / 0.5 ) - Kulhad Lassi, Spl Lassi , Mango Lassi and Punjabi beer can finish your meal with pure Punjabi touch.
Total - 0.8 + 0.4 + 1.0 + 2.0 + 0.5 = 4.7 (~5.0) !!
These restaurants are classic examples of "5-star" class - with rather small place, simple interiors - powered by seriously good foods, served with consistency.
I'm a regular here... My friends and family used to ridicule me by saying that they opened a new branch only because of you :P
What ever you order here from menu will taste great and it will be very nicely presented.
PS: they have the city's best mint chutney
Recently happened to order their chicken biriyani and trust me guys it has reached to the best biriyani list of my mind. The cuisine seems to be similar to other restaurant such as sher punjab which made me think this is a part of the same owner. Adding a little more taste to it might bring this restaurant to the top place of its area.
Fish and panner items were lovely.
Found it bit costly. 5 pieces of paneer chunks in the name of tikka was costing more than 200 bucks.
Heard from my buddies chicken dishes were also good. A unit of Pind so they maintain the standard
Excellent food. Very good ambience.
Loved the decor with touches of tradition set in a modern time. Will definately visit again π.
All the best !
A small place but tgey serve amazing food. Chicken roghon josh was tge best. Specially iblove the rabidi. It is difficult to find a good quality rabidi in chennai. The service is also good. Will definitly recommend others.
It's good that restaurants like these keep the flavors of Punjab and north India alive
Within budget
Nice ambience.
Good food.
Try out butter chicken and Punjabi thali
Check in here for a truly authentic punjabi food.
Had an amazing experience yesterday went with my team of 15 for a dinner treat and everyone both veg and non veg eaters loved the food. Friendly service, they served papad complimentary on request.
Overall the team njoyed. Thank you Lucky da Punjabi dhaba team for a wonderful service.
We have ordered some Veg and Non Veg Thali for our team lunch. The food was really good, the quantity was more than enough and they delivered the food on time.
We had ordered food for our employees and it was delicious and stomach filling Box. They also customized one item based on our requirement. Delivery was on time too.
Wish i could rate it 4.5.The ambience is minimalistic but impressive.Service is on par with all the star hotels that charge you with service charge. And the food was authentic delicious north indian. One of the most authentic north indian meals i had in the city.Go for it.
One of my favourite place for North Indian Food. A bit expensive if you consider location n facility . But Taste wise Awesome. Staff's are polite. Order may take time . But worth waiting . Also one can go little early to have a better experience.
Special Lassi is ultimate. Never miss it.
Recently management changed. But the food taste is almost same. Hope they keep the momentum.
First time trying Luck Da Punjabi Dhaba. Order was
Roti - 4pcs
Kadai Panner - Half
Roti was soft and perfectly made. Kadai panner was good with more paneer chunks and right mix of masala. Overall it was a satisfactory lunch.
I liked the food and it was very tasty.
Good food. Fair quantity. 1 chicken dish could be cooked better though!

A very small Punjabi place, bringing the perfect Punjabi Taste!
Great service and great food.
If expanded, can see amazing crowd from various parts.
Tip: A Thali is more than sufficient here. So save some place before you go for it!
The best Punjabi Dhaba!
Last time when we visited, card machine wasn't working, we didn't have cash and internet wasn't working to pay via paytm. The manager came and said you can leave and pay some other day. Who else would do this!?
Trustworthy people!
The Ambience felt like a dhaba.. Butter chicken and garlic naan were delicious. Punjabi beer and special lassi made the tummy full.
Great place. Great food!!!!
