Mainland China is certainly a to go destination for Chinese food. The buffet had a wonderful spread of veg and non veg items. First time I loved every item that was served, starting from the cucumber salad to the pastries. Nonveg starters included Chicken drumsticks, nonveg dimsum, wontons and fish tossed in soy and chilli sauce. They had 4 veg starters as well like veg dimsum and wontons. The maincourse had veg ang chicked noodles and rice, they had pepper prawns, fish basil, chicken salad and chicken on sause. Food was top notch, ambiance was very appealing, service was eexcellent.On the whole it was such a lovely experience. The buffet cost incl of tax on mon-Tue is rs 484/- which is definitely worth. Thanks for the wonderful experience to the management and the staffs in Mainland China (Annanagar). Will be back for sure.

When it come to Chinese food, Mainland China wins hands down. Their food is really good and more importantly, consistent.
So, Friday night saw us heading to their Anna nagar outlet.
I must mention here, that this is one of the very few places where the staff actually make you feel welcome. And they will help you, even if you don't fall under their table service. Another thing I have noticed is that they advice you on choices and pre-empt service.
So now for our order.
Starters:
Dynamite prawns (495/-) - medium sized prawns batter fried and tossed win a delicious mayo sauce. Top marks. Regards this dish, order it if you are going to eat it immediately. If left for some time, the taste dissipates and once cold, the dish is not appetizing. This was the advice our server, Arindam, gave us. Very useful.
Thai style Chicken dumplings (325/-). Their dumplings always have something unique and these were no different. The size was well proportioned and you could actually taste the chicken. Definite recommend.
Mains:
Chicken Pan fried noodles (445/-) a staple for me. I just love the vegetable sauce they serve the noodles with. Though bland, I don't really find the need to add any other seasoning. Tasty in itself.
Tsing Hoi Chicken (460/-) served with a portion of steamed rice (220/-). This was a good surprise. The spicy Thai flavour permeated the chicken very well and the addition of cashews made it all the more tastier.😋
Dessert:
Coconut caramel custard (210/-) which lived up to its expectations. A little more firm that the normal caramel custard but the flavour was spot on.
If you are looking to spend an enjoyable family dinner or just have a nice time with friends, this is definitely a place I would recommend. The ambience, service and their menu choice is very good. We have noticed that they keep updating their menu and that makes for exciting dining.
Superb ambience and very good service. Being a Bengali i felt like i was in my hometown. Most of the servers were bengalis and we enjoyed talking to them and they were so good. I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends.

Best lamb dish I’ve ever had . Roast lamb in chilli bean sauce ! Excellent service by Arindam !!! And the manager of the restaurant is extremely hospitable !! Big portions and value for money ! Will visit again !!

Arindan was very kind and the service was really nice.The chicken that was served was really fresh and the crab that they had served was really tasty.
The food and the service here was fantastic. Our waiters Raja and Arindam made sure we had a fine dining experience. The tom yum soup and thai style dimsums are a must try. This is our second visit here.

This is one of the best restaurants in Annanagar. The recent delightful additions to their already comprehensive menu have made this place a must visit for foodies. The quality and quantity of the food is worth the price. The soups, starters, main course, desserts, are all choiceable and quite tasty.
The restaurant staff members are very well mannered and have always taken care of us and paid attention to details. The earlier manager, Mr. Susanta, and the current manager Mr. Raj. have always made us feel at home. This review will be incomplete without mentioning the names of a few staff members such as Arindam, Bidyut and Panda who always serve with a smile and keep checkeing if we are comfortable and ensure that we enjoy our visit and the meal.

Mainland China has undoubtedly been my favourite Chinese hangout spot in the city. This is a must try place for all the foodies out there if you still haven't been here yet!
Ambience boasts of a Chinese place, from Chinese statues at the entrance to the lights, table decors and room separators. This place is crowded mostly so be sure to book your table in advance if going in a group and check offers in nearbuy for their buffet to get a pocket friendly deal.
Tried their buffet, being a pure vegetarian had doubts if there would be anything at all good to eat but this place cleared all my doubts with yummy taste and variety as well. If you're a non vegetarian don't even think twice as there is even more bigger variety awaiting you guys.
The soup of the day was hot and sour clear soup. Starters there were dimsums, momos, potato based and cabbage based starters, all tasted good with dimsums being their speciality and my favorite.
Main course there were salads, rice, chinese sauces/gravies and desserts. For non vegetarians, heard the salad tasted so good as all the meat was finely chopped and mixed perfectly with the right flavour. Desserts there were just few cake varieties and ice creams but having eaten so much of mains and starters, we did not have much room for desserts so we did not mind it at all.
All the items I had tried here though I do not remember their exact names(will note down I visit it the next time) turned to be so yum that I wanted to visit it again.
Overall do try this place a d if you are not a big fan of Chinese food you will end up being one after trying it once!

The menu is a little tricky but you can get assistance from the staff to understand what the composition of each dish is.

Went for dinner here. The ambience is really good. Ordered for lemon coriander chicken soup, thai styled chicken dumplings , mixed rice and lamb in mahlak sauce. Except the soup ( which had a very strong lemon flavour) other dishes were excellent. The quantity of each dish was more than enough for two people. They do have valet parking.
