Very Nicely Maintained, Very Clean And Tidy Restaurant. We ate Squid, Prawns And Whole Fish there. All dishes were very well cooked and was delicious. I would recommend all to visit this place during your visit. Prawns Fried Rice was also nicely made. They Provide Valet Parking.
Searock Restaurant was amazing because we had a fun night. There was great service the staff always kept coming with food. The food itself, was delicious; we had deep fried calamari, prawn and a whole fish - it was not boneless - and a few other things until we were absolutely full. Regretfully, we couldn’t make room for the fried fish. The restaurant is right by the beach, making that vibe right.

The his place is simple fabulous. Lives up to the high rating in every way possible. The food simply amazingly delicious. The red snapper tawa is next level superb taste. It’s at the door step to a gorgeous clean beach. With the amazing view, delicious food and great chill beer in your hands what more can you say if not a perfect 10 of a an experience during a holiday..The Chef doesn’t even know how good he is! The place gives you the classic fishermen 's Chennai vibes fresh fish, lobster and some nice beach winds. Will come back for more! The parking was a nightmare! Navigating to this place was hard too
A wonderful spot, though slightly pricey. The staff could be friendlier. Additionally, there are books available at the counter for reading. We ordered pepper chicken and it was with bones, not expecting that, and were told by the waiter that we should have requested boneless in advance - a bit unexpected (both were of same price range). Nevertheless, the beer and fish was exceptional, making it a seafood lover's paradise.
Highly recommended restaurant when you are in Mahabalipuram. It’s one of the best restaurants in Fishers Colony and a feast to sea food lovers. They have wide range of sea food and you can chose from the available live crabs, prawns, lobsters etc. The ambience is a kind of Instagram-able joint with great service. Must try the fish curry rice, prawns 🍤 deep fry, butter garlic prawns and spicy masala prawns fry. Their pasta is next level 🫶♥️ Must visit and thank me later 😍
Had a wonderful day at Mahabalipuram and the food served at searock is yummiest. Maintaining a shack on the beach side is not an ordinary task and you need patience to succeed in this industry. To all the negative comments, guys we are here just to spend some quality time.. Do enjoy this moment.
This place is an absolute delight. Good food and a great deck looking over the Mahabalipuram beach. The vibe here is great and the prices are reasonable too.
You can spend the time on deck of the shack, eat and go to take a dip in sea and come back to the seating area.
Choose your seafood option which they custom make as per your choice. Service and staff are pretty good.
Catch on some great seafood with the wonderful sea view.

Hearing the tides and tasting the fresh seafood 🦞 the experience is surreal. Probably the most fresh squid 🦑 that I have had in my lifetime..their tawa calamari is a must try…👌🏽
Fantastic food near the beach. The prawn, lobster and fish are so fresh and best cooking style. All the Chinese person will love the food here.
Best beach side restaurant at Mahabalipuram. The beach view, food taste and service are awesome. Only limited parking on the main road and you might find it difficult to locate this place.
Right on the beach, it's difficult to miss this restaurant. They have a huge variety of sea food.
You can select from the fresh sea food that they have in their collection inside the kitchen. And then accordingly they will prepare the food for you.
We went around 8 pm for dinner here. Couldn't find anything to feed my toddler.
They had good crab collection, so we selected one and then had crab roast and crab chilli fry. Both were delicious, owing to the fact that the crab was very fresh.
They have vegetarian options too.
It's a small place facing the beach. It gets crowded pretty fast. We got a seat as we came early. There's only 1-2 people who were serving and billing, so service was slow. Takes a min of 30 mins to get served. You can read books meanwhile which are available there. We ordered calamari rings, butter garlic prawns and veg fried rice. All were good.
After a long drive, coming here to chill is a great option. Right beside the ocean with strong and cool winds. Take a step in and you’re welcomed with a friendly and welcoming interior. While a tad bit pricey, the quality of the food is great and it’s very delicious to top off. At least for that style of restaurant anyway. Coupled with some chill beers and friends and you’ve got a recipe for having a good time. I will definitely be visiting again.

Quite crowded though, so if you need to get your seats and also enjoy a peaceful view then make sure you reach a bit early for lunch than go late. Would be there again to eat their delicacies surely when I Visit Again.Must try if you are a Seafood Lover.
Visited this place in 2015 for the first time and we have become regulars here.
Great location, bang on the beach.
You can't get a better ambiance to chill with friends with a couple of cold beers at a shack where the breeze gushes inside.
It's kids and family-friendly and fellow patrons look after their own business.
They have a live lobster tank and live crabs on display and of course, it's a happening place in the seashore, so fresh seafood is guaranteed.
Tawa fish, Batter fried calamari, butter garlic prawns, and mixed seafood fried rice/noodles are our regulars here as it is wiser to stick with seafood at a specialty place. Price is now on the steeper side, but it's how it is in other similar places in othavadai street.
Muthu is a great host Humble, smiling yet suave. He and his team make sure that you leave happy-hearted. Great place for a relaxing weekend outing. Highly recommended.
