Amala mess!! It’s been in Anna Nagar and must try spots over a decade. Most of us have visited this place countless times and it’s still one of the best places for their chettinad style and also their biriyani. My personal fav is their parotta with Amala chettinad chicken masala and their kalaki as well 🥹🤤

A decent place for dining Non-Veg. The mutton gravy provided with meals is consistently good and others aren't consistent with the taste. The service could be improved by having waiters that are kind and patient. It's a house turned hotel, so the seating capacity is less and the place gets cramped up with them waiting behind us for tables(just like in a marriage). Hand wash and restroom's are below average. Definitely not a place for elderly persons.

Good food. I really hate the atmosphere. It seems unhygienic. If you don't care about surroundings I would recommend. Not very best for veg , only 1 dish veg. Very good for nonveg

One of the best mess in Chennai serving authentic south Indian food. This is my 3rd time visiting this place. My favourites are their masala kalaki, idli/chutney, biryani and vanjaram fry.. Food is priced reasonable.. Cheap and best place to eat great food..

Restaurant is not that big. I think 90% of their service depends on take away. Their foods, especially prawn gravey and chicken are top notch, just like authentic chettinadu food, they use pepper in most of their dishes.... it may bit be a food choice for dine in but a must try place for take away.. they have so many varieties in non-veg

Excellent place for Lunch and dinner. Nonveg meals with a number of side dishes is usually the main attraction. And for dinner, Parotta is the must try dish here besides Chicken fried rice. Splendid table service and the food quality is remarkable. Worth it..!

Affordabe price. Quality is awesome. Very limited seating. Be little early to get your place for lunch.. It's an average ambience. But the food is awesome. Price is also reasonable..

One of the very few places in Anna Nagar which serves authentic Chettinad type dishes. Located near the Anna Nagar Main road, this mess is a frequent destination for all South-Indian authentic food wishers. Serves all types of dishes from biriyani to turkey-fry (available only on Sundays). All dishes are extremely good and of good taste and quality. I was extremely happy to see that they still use banana leaves as plates, since this is very rare nowadays. Parking facility is limited. Food is of great quality and taste. Service is good. Overall experience was good. Do visit this place if you're anywhere near Anna Nagar. Thank you.

The ambiance and interior are moderate overall. When it comes to Food, the Quality of food they serve and the Consistency of taste they maintain is Phenomenal. So far, Highly recommended Restaurant to have a Best South-Indian Non-Veg meals in Anna Nagar. The Cost is Much Affordable too. Cost for Two - 350₹

Usual chettinadu style typical cooking...I had crab masala with kada roast.. both were good but parotta didn't do the justice for the name.. and that's not the reason for the 4star... rates could be still less for the place...

I tasted the briyani, chicken rice and chicken 65 and found that portion sizes and flavors are satisfying, and the pricing is reasonably moderate.
