I loved every bit of my dinner at the restaurant. The food tasted better than expected. The daal makhani was the best. The garlic naan was so full of flavors. The paneer sabzi was spicy and left me craving for more. The quantity of food served was good. I am waiting to visit the restaurant again soon.
The Lassi and butter chicken is too good.
When we entered we felt wow about ambiance. Because there were colorful and well decorated which make you to feel real dhaba.

Full marks on the ambience and food. In case you prefer non-veg, then must order is mutton balti. The quantity of dishes is ample for one person so don't shy away from ordering loads of dishes. We tried butter chicken and garlic naan which were quite enjoyable. Good part is they have zomato gold offer so we were able to get gajar ka halwa as complimentary dish.
The restaurant is in Ispahani mall so not that hard to locate. Even though the restaurant was crowded on a Sunday, the service was pretty good. One more cute part was they serve Swad candies instead of mouth fresheners at end of billing.
So we went for a lunch to this dhinchaak place in nungambakam which had really good comfort food. The kaalakhatta mocktail, makki di roti and gajar ka halwa were to die for. Mr. Rantun, our waiter for the afternoon was really polite and friendly.

Dhaba is certainly one of the better restaurants for Punjabi cuisine in the city despite being slightly overpriced. We had their Veg and Non Veg platter and it was delectable. The butter naan was succulent. The sarson ka saag was especially good and was relished. The interiors of the restaurant are very aesthetically done. The tables could however be made bigger as they could not accommodate the dishes ordered. Service at the restaurant deserves special mention and the stewards are attentive to details without being intrusive.

A really good place for someone who wants to indulge in a typical North Indian cuisine. The food was really tasty but overpriced. The quantity of the main course dishes was upto the mark. We’ve ordered a veg paneer starter and the quantity could have been better for the price. A great ambience and a very courteous staff. Would love to come back for the food!
Had to wait for a while for the table despite booking. Overall the service was good & food tasty if a bit rich - only concern was that the lamb in the biryani was undercooked.

Decent place with Decent Menu. We went for a Team Dinner. We had to choose from their good number of A-la-carte options. They serve both Veg and Non- Veg.
Being a vegetarian and sitting in between bunch of Meat Eaters is not easy. You might be served with meat if you're too busy talking. But Mr. Bala (person who served us) made sure my plate is filled only with Veg. I really liked the way he remembered the Veggies and Non veggies and served accordingly. Giving 4 stars as my fellow mates were not completely satisfied with taste. But I liked personally.
PS:- Would suggest them to increase the table width, it was fine but for a group of 14 it looked a bit congested.

For anyone who loves north indian cuisine, this North Indian themed restaurant has amazing dishes to fill your belly. The price is also reasonable for the quantity they provide. The restaurant staff provide excellent service and are very friendly. Would recommend to try in the evenings as it is easier to find parking.
Thoroughly enjoyed the food here. Had heard so much about this place so wanted to try it out myself for a long time. The lassis were thick and creamy and the veg platter was amazing especially the paneer Tikkas. Love the butter naan and malai kofta . Will definitely go back to try their non veg and the quantity was so good asked generous. Well worth the price

Dhaba Estd 1968 has been one of my favourite places, since it has opened! I miss Delhi food alot of times.

It is inside the plaza. There were plenty of options to order from, it was difficult to choose. It took around 15 to 20 minutes for the order to come. The food was tasty but a bit over priced due to the restaurant ambience. We ordered a Mawa lassi and expected a mud glass because that's the original style but didn't get in it. The place is good for family dinner if you love North Indian food.
We’ve been to this restaurant thrice and have had an amazing experience every single time!
The ambience is amazing, the food tastes lip-smacking good with each dish being very flavourful and different from the other and the service is first-class. Ispahani Centre also offers ample parking space. The place offers a slice of Punjab here in Chennai!
There’s bound to be a crowd here so it makes sense to call them up and do a reservation if you’re a team of 8-10 people looking for a table.

First things first this is by far the most authentic dhaba we’ve ever eaten at ! The service by Mr Subham was top notch and the staff were super friendly ! The ambiance was great ! Let’s talk bout the food we ordered tandoori chicken which tasted like never before ! And the naans n butter chicken was on another level of tasty and yummy 😋 thank you guys for making our dinner so special and authentic ❤️
Very good choice if you are having group lunch. You can get instaworthy pics. Staff were very polite and courteous.They were able to give individual attention to tables even during busy hours.
Food taste is good and it’s worthy of price
Visited this branch during the end of my 2 week stint in Chennai. The ambiance and decoration is commendable. The prices are on the higher side compared to other restaurants i visited. Food is good, tasty, and freshly prepared. Do try the Dhaba di roti, and non veg platter. One of the waiter captains was super friendly and helpful, and the other not so much.
Malai chicken tikka: Absolutely delicious. The chicken was tender and the malai coating was well done.
Sweet lassi: It was very thick. One rarely finds lassi like this in Chennai.
Delhi style mutton gravy: I have mixed feelings about this one. The gravy was okay. It was not extraordinary or noteworthy. The mutton pieces were not enough. One piece out of the three was just bone.
Lacha paratha: Liked it.
Price: very very pricey. All these things cost me 2000 rupees. The quantity does not justify the price. But if you want to take your friends or family for lunch and you are not price conscious, you can prefer this restaurant.
The best North Indian cuisine in all of Chennai, probably. I tried their Handi Gosht and Tandoori Roti and believe me, it totally surpassed my expectations. The meat dish was so delicious....worth every penny..! Do give it a try here, you won't regret it.
The place captures & recreates the authentic flavour of a dhabba with interiors screaming innovation (made from everyday items) & colour every where. Food is definitely delicious & the quantity is gorgeous as well.
Staff are delightful, covid regulations are followed to an extent here.
