Awesome restaurant to dine in. I had tried chettinad dishes which were great, if you are looking for a best restaurant then don't wait. Go to Anjappar

Considering the number of new chentinad restaurants which hav come up anjappar is facing stiff competition. And I'm not sure if their up for the race. Most of their franchisee are not doing good.how ever t.ngar seems good for me. I tried with a great hesitation having previous bad experience. This time it was good. I used to love their biryanis. It's so so homemade taste. Their anjappar spl chicken marsala with parotta is a combination to try.
Good food enjoyed everything that i had ordered a good hearty lunch on a lazy sunday afternoon..
It was tasty spicy and yes if there is no new restaurant to try out in the area i wouldn't mind giving it a visit now and then
If its chettinad food its anjappar.. If its anjappar its t nagar or d nungambakkam branch.. Taste d chettinad foods at this place.. Biryanis pepper chicken.. Nethili fry.. Everything can be tasted.. Dont try north indian or chinese here.. If ure bored of chicken or mutton try seafood starters.. U hav variety nd taste.. Watellse u need.. Am telling u ant dis branch nd nungambakkam branch.. I dnt recommend ashok nagar branch or other outlets..
The best spicy food in Chennai and a biggg treat for nv lovers..
Nice atmosphere.
Food taste like good.
Service nice.
Ramesh did a very great job...he knew how to serve the dishes accordingly... Very polite to explain each dish and suggest the specials
Loved it! It was recommended to us by a staff at Kalyan jewellers.
The food was amazing, authentic tamil food. We were also give ln tender coconut payasam(dessert) which I hadn't heard about before but turned out to be the star of the show!
Would recommend it, even for those that can't handle "spicy"(not chilly hot) food.
Fantastic service by the staff, very welcoming.
Loved the tomato soup. Thick, piping hot, with bits of garlic. The nethli fry was fresh, crisp and tasty.
Awesome place. Everything we ordered was quite delicious and authentic south Indian food. One must visit this place to experience true South Indian Ambience. Special Royal Meal (even if it is just a little expensive) is a must try dish. This place is located in the heart of the city which makes this place accessible easily.
This branch of Anjappar being located in Pondy Bazaar a busy shopping district sees regular footfalls and the food is always fresh and tasty. Great mutton biriyani and all goat spare parts, and wash it down with some nice elaneee payasam

Clean ambience. Food was very tasty, to be Frank I thought the food and services won't be good due to past experience and also the current issue of hotel quality in and around T.Nagar. We had crab lollipop, anjappar chicken boneless fry and egg dosa. The quantity was sufficient to eat. Service was excellent like to mention about Mr. Swaminathan who served us with patients and on time delivery inspite of the crowd.
We ordered
Mutton sukka
Mutton liver
Mutton biryani
Chicken chechenad
Food was really good
Thanks B Ramesh & Sundar Raj for serving us
